The suite smelled of weed. I had to shut the bedroom door and have the a/c fan on continuously.
There are NO usb plugs. I had to go off property and buy one.
Silverware was dirty.
There was no answer when I called the front desk several times regarding the usb situation.
There was a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower rod.

Great staff, but probably wont stay again.
The staff was AMAZING! Super friendly and willing to help. Slight hiccup at check in. Given a key to room that didnt work, went back to desk, was told that was the wrong room they wrote down. Gave me new room number, key didnt work. Went back down to desk and they came up personally, second room wasnt cleaned yet...had to put us in third room.
Unfortunately, wife found quick moving roaches in room next day, and we were moved then to a fourth room that was clean, but the window was broke...wouldnt stay open.
Staff was so friendly and accomadating and helpful. Unfortunately, probably wont stay there again with the other issues. Mainly the bugs.

My top 3 complaints are the horrendous smell (dank), very outdated, and stains in several areas. Eventhough the room was tidy I found stains from food splatters, filth on light switches and baseboards, and scuff marks on doors and walls. The furniture/some of the appliances definitely need replacing. After finding a stain on a wash towel I decided to leave and shower at home. The staff was nice however.

Ideally located for easy access to beaches, highways, dining, shopping etc. The full kitchenette made it easy for coffee, teas meals and the friendly staff for making the stay very comfortable. The complimentary breakfasts and all day coffee made life a breeze. Thanks for everything, manager Kathy ensured that we were quite comfortable with everything. The exercise room was just what we needed also. Big Thank You again to management and teams.

Cons: Microwave in the room did a shoddy job. Dishwasher leaked all on the floor, as did the shower and tub. Floors were filthy in the room; our kids' feet were black after walking around for 20 minutes. A/c was a hit and miss. It would be hot and stifling one hour, freezing the next. Didn't seem to have a happy medium. People were smoking marijuana outside the front entrance and you could smell it in the hallways. Walls are thin. Room was smaller than anticipated and felt very cramped. Internet was definitely not the greatest.
Pros: Breakfast had a variety of things to choose from. Only slight downside is they didn't seem to have enough milks out; either that or they didn't restock very often. The employees were friendly anytime we crossed paths and they left us a note letting us know they ran out of towels, so we knew they didn't ignore us. Despite being right off a busy street, it was overall quiet at night.
I wouldn't stay here again, I felt like it was too small and honestly didn't live up to Marriott standards. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

True disappointment
Never will I stay here again. The Marriott should be ashamed of this dated dwelling, how deceitful!!
My reservations were in correct making me ( the customer) inconvenienced.
The entire hotel is dated, my room was not up to par in cleanliness and breafast was not worthy to even attend.I am just completely disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay especially the friendly staff! Breakfast was great as the Attendant went above and beyond to assist guests! Check-in was easy and smooth! My room was clean and fully stocked! I'll definitely recommend and return here soon!

All the staff were friendly and always asking whether there was anything I needed. The general manager has created an environment which fosters respect, consideration and well-being for staff and guests. It may not be the swankiest of hotels but it is the most welcoming and provides all that is necessary for a most pleasant stay!!

Awesome stay
Front desk was very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. Room was perfect for my needs (microwave, cups, plates, bowls etc…) Very clean room and comfortable bed. It was a pleasant stay overnight and got a good night sleep. Drove from Houston to Palmetto. Highly recommended!

We have been traveling from AZ to end up in Sarasota, FL. Worst hotel we have stayed at for our trip. Definitely mot worth the price. With this being a Marriott property i expected better. The staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was terrible. Breakfast started at 6:30 a.m and we were down there at 6:33. They were already out of the Breakfast sandwiches. Had to wait for more. Couldn't wait to leave

Nice property and the night clerk (I wish I remembered her name) was fantastic! Good breakfast, loved the waffles. Comfy beds but room darkening curtain was broken but hair clips did the trick. I would stay again.

Nice stay, bogus pet fee
The stay was nice. The front desk attendant was very nice and the room was comfortable HOWEVER I was told upon check in that the pet fee was $100. I never expected not to pay anything but literally 6 weeks ago I was going to book this exact same hotel and read the fine print. The pet surcharge was $25 at that time. That quickly it changed to $100??? On top of that no portion of the fee was refundable which is ridiculous. I completely understand if my dog trashed the room or was not house broken. The attendant was polite and offered to try to relocate me somewhere that had little to no fee but after being on the road for 8 hours I was in no mood.

Felt really grimey to stay there. Employees were nice and helpful, but I will not be staying there again.

-Room reeked of heavy cologne, it’s was overpowering
-There was food and half a bottle of water left in the fridge from the previous guest

Dirty, Dingy and Disappointing
We booked this Hotel because we had stayed at Towneplace suites in Panama City the night before and that was a great place so we looked for another in Pensacola. How Disappointing!! It was Dark, Dirty and Dingy.
We asked at the front desk receptionist for a different room because it was so bad…they said they couldn’t do anything because we booked with a third party! (Hotels.com) We settled in because we didn’t feel like we had a choice. The Hotel breakfast was a joke! Coffee was empty in the breakfast area and the lobby, I’ve never seen a worse layout. I’m not a fussy eater and couldn’t do it…it was gross.
I’ll try to mention a positive thing or two, it was walking distance to Bubba’s 33 and a breakfast place Taylors both were really good.
Avoid at all costs!!!!

Non refundable pet fee not made known before check
Room was small but clean and comfortable. I booked this thru Hotels.com by searching for a pet friendly hotel. When I checked in I was told there was a $100.00 non refundable fee for my cat. Apparently if you use the hotel website they tell you this but because I used Hotels.Com I was not aware of it. Will never use Hotels.Com again.

The lady at the front desk had a nasty attitude from jump. On Expedia it says i would have a full kitchen and that's not what i got. Plus there was dirty towels in our room, no ice bucket in our room and when i complained to front desk she said there shouldn't be dirty towels in there and she will come look when she can and that there is a ice bucket in our room. I mind you we checked everywhere no ice bucket had to get ice with cups. Plus the bed have long rails hanging on each end like the mattress is too small and my boyfriend hit it walking and feel over to the bed and he was bleeding. So also the room is not safe. I'll never stay here again very bad Valentine's day in this crap for a room and not worth what i paid.

Few roaches (second room after being transferred) first room hair in bed, floors, shower. Shower so old the natural grip was gone, slipped and fell. Room smelled heavy of smoke. Front desk was nice when I asked to move rooms, but offered no concessions. Disappointed

For a few dollars more I’ll stay next-door
Not a bad place but next time I think I will spend a little extra and stay at the Courtyard next-door. Quieter air conditioning, slightly softer bed. Do want to say that the desk clerk who checked me in was very kind and professional.
Oh, and the TV remote was missing. Random, but I had no way to turn it off.

The room was dirty . When I opened the closed there were 3 bags of trash left from someone else. The top of the fridge had so much dust you could write your name . The bathroom was pretty gross. Mildew on the shower curtain &baseboards full of dust . We were told to get towels at the front desk. When I asked I was told they did not have any because house keeping was backed up. This was at 8pm . Then all of a sudden I was given damp towels . At 2am we were awaken by loud music in the parking lot . I had to call the front desk twice before anything was done. Overall I would not recommend this hotel . Very disappointing

It was dated hotel. I found trash by my bed. No service was given. You have to take your towels down and exchange them and put your trash out side your door. Manager was ok but didn’t like to help the customer.

It was very nice, the bathroom was just not as clean as it should have been but it was ok I cleaned it myself and something busted in the freezer from the previous people rather than that our stay was fine, good area, safe. It was overall nice!

This hotel is outdated and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve EVER had in any hotel chain; it had a huge pit in the center and tilted to the side I literally had to hold on not to roll off. I slept two hours in two days. The sheets had sand on them, trash under the bed and black fingerprints in the shower. The most disgusting thing was it’s a pet friendly hotel and there were hard spots in the carpets which I can only assume were pets stains that weren’t properly cleaned. We had to go buy Lysol and spray them so our dog wouldn’t try to mark the spot as pets will do. Our dog has never soiled in any hotel and I was concerned he will get sick from the previous pets. I honestly have always loved Marriott and always stay there but I’ll never stay at this one. In addition, speaking directly to Expedia I asked for a hotel between the beach and the Navy base and this was on the total opposite end of town now where near either in a rather shady neighborhood where there were homeless beggars on almost every corner and in front of every store you’d go out into aggressively begging for money. This was the worst WORST trip ever!

Awesome staff
I dealt with several different members of the TownePlace team during my short stay and they were all excellent. Whether it was the friendliness of the check-in lead or the warm greeting from the person at the breakfast bar, it was nice to be around such caring people.
My only complaint about the hotel was the fitness center. I don't mind that it was small, but the cardio machines are old and in bad shape while they were missing many dumbbells from the set.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed/room.
Our stay was great. One thing to note: the hotels,com description is not quite accurate. I booked a suite that listed a pull out sofa bed, but the room that was booked (at agreed rate) was a studio suite that did not have the sofa bed. Towneplace made it good by putting us in a handicapped room which had the sofa bed, at no extra cost. Hotels.com you should correct the room descriptions.
