The cost of the room was very reasonable.
The breakfast was quite good.
The rooms were large with plenty of lighting.
The rooms were noisy. You could hear the people in the next room.
The front desk staff did not know the hours of available breakfast.
The front desk staff did not want to answer the phone when we called during our trip to Ithaca.
The shampoo etc was excellent.
Having a microwave oven as well as a refrigerator and freezer was excellent.
It was difficult to open the outside door as well as the room with the key card. It would take several tries.

My stay at Country Inn was very good. I didn't spend much time at the hotel. I was visiting family the majority of my visit.

I checked in only to find out the wifi was down and wouldn’t be up and running until the morning. I also was informed upon checking in the pool was out of service with no communication. I asked to speak to a manager who wasn’t even there and I had to wait until the next day. I tried calling in the AM and couldn’t even get through to a front desk rep and kept getting redirected to the corporate office. On top of all this the flusher on the toilet was broken and toilet had problems flushing. The facility reeked of weed when I entered with my 2 year old. Not impressed

I was pretty disappointed with the cleanliness… There were 1) dirty dishes in the dishwasher, 2) stains all over the floor, walls, and furniture, 3) hair in the shower, 4) no body wash, 5) most importantly, the bed sheets are stained. The staff was nice, but I would not stay here again

Very nice and quiet hotel. We stayed here before and liked it. During this stay, we noticed many improvements and really enjoyed our stay! A welcome bag on arrival was a nice touch!

We enjoyed our brief one night stay in Ithaca. The property was close to the gorges, and the breakfast was decent, with clearly marked kosher foods, as well as allergy friendly foods.

The staffs were nice and friendly. I was booked a room for 2 people and my 3 kids decided to come along and when we got there they were happy to help us move to a bigger room quick without giving us any trouble and we thank you for that! I recommended this place.

We stay at this hotel regularly. It’s very convenient to the college and town and is a good price. The staff is very nice also. However the past two trips we’ve had issues with our rooms. Stains on furniture and curtains. Lights that don’t work. Our bathroom light was so dim last time we had to shower in the dark. The rooms are poorly lit overall.

Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly and the cookies at check in was a nice touch. At night there was some disturbing noise coming from air vents. It interrupted our sleep a little. Had we not had that noise that prevented us from having a good night slight, the hotel is a good choice.

Location was amazing, Excellent breakfast in the morning. Plenty of parking. The pool is out of commission. The rugs in the hallway were stained, and the walls are pretty marked up. I would’ve expected a little better for the price.

I would like to update my earlier review. Within 24 hours I was able to speak with a property manager.
My concerns were addressed Promptly and with great courtesy. When reading my earlier review, please take it to consideration. It came from an emotional standpoint. I’ve come away from this experience with much positivity, and I appreciate how the entire matter was handled in the end.

- The pool was out of service, and obviously had been for some time.
- Our room toilet didn’t work well, and the plunger that came with the room means this was a known issue.
- The shower leaked the whole time.
- The room refrigerator didn’t work.
- The men’s room near the lobby never had any hand soap in it.
On the plus side:
- The air conditioning worked very well, as did the black out curtains.
- It was nice and quiet.
- There was something for everyone at breakfast.

Breakfast was good. Employees were nice and accommodating. The Halloween decorations were scary. Our first room had lots of beetles (we think from the trees). They moved us to another which was missing a bathroom ight and hallway lights and a broken lamp and a dresser that was completely broken. The shower curtain was dirty. The second room was terrible. But the staff moved us to a thrift room which was good. This was all at 1230 am! I would never ever stay there again. The rooms were horrible run down. The first room had wall patches all over that never got painted. So tacky. But I will say the staff was pleasant not only when we asked to get our room changed the first time but also the second time!

A solid place to call home for a couple of nights while my husband, pup, and I were waiting for some work to be completed before we could move into our house. Michael at the front desk was very kind and helpful during the check-in process, our room was clean quiet, and being able to bring our pup was so appreciated. I also appreciated the Halloween lobby directions for a bit of extra fun :)

The place appeared clean. Went into our room and discovered live/dead bugs all over the bathroom floor and on the carpet. We couldn’t think of sleeping there… we left and hoping to see my credit card wasn’t charged

The room and common areas were clean and appeared to be well kept. However, our toilet didn't flush properly the entire time. The plunger we were given was useless. The toilet gurgled day and night all on its own as if someone was in it blowing bubbles. The breakfast on some mornings was OK. Other mornings the eggs tasted like they were fake, rubber eggs. Should have known to stick to the oatmeal, cereal or the waffle. Driveway and parking lot had many potholes and is need of attention. The pool was "Out of Order".

This property is a great choice in Ithaca. It is clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The price is very reasonable. Many hotels are overpriced in this town - sometimes ridiculously so - this hotel is reasonable in every dimension. A favorite place to stay.

Staff was nice but condition of room not so great. Dirty wash cloths left in shower, no tissues or extra toilet paper, musty smell, bug in bathroom, old and run down look. Outside gardens over run by weeds, weeds growing in gutters front and back. Room hear lots of noise both from other rooms and staff/mechanical.

We enjoyed our stay! Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of space--we had plenty of room to stretch out for a nice stay! The wifi worked well, and there were a lot of cable stations included. The breakfast offerings were very good--better than a lot of other hotels we've stayed at.

The location was excellent for visiting downtown Ithaca , the room was spacious having our own private living-room with a separate bedroom which was great to have !!
Breakfast had a lovely variety of choices and always had fresh coffee and food good!!
Front desk was courteous and very friendly , would strongly recommend this hotel for anybody visiting

Ok hotel, we'd try a different place next time
A bit disappointed the pool was broken. This is now indicated on hotels.com, but I didn't notice when I booked a few months ago. Had to switch rooms because toilet was broken in first room and hotel has a strange smell. Breakfast was good. Location was convenient.

I loved the staff, especially Ebony. However, the rooms need to be deep cleaned, the furniture and fixtures (except the beds) need to be replaced and updated. The pool was closed so I can't comment on it

We liked the configuration of the room. Beds were pretty good. Staff was professional and friendly. The room was "worn" - missing grout in bathroom, poorly patched areas, dirty curtains, missing paint on the door. Breakfast was ok. All of these things I could have overlooked.
The primary reason for the low rating is that we informed the front desk about our non working deadbolt FOUR times and it was never fixed. We put a chair up against the door at night. Not really acceptable.

Pretty basic. Needs updating but seemed clean. One complaint was bathroom sink needed Liquid Plumber desperately. Also, vending machine was out of water, the “gym” had a water cooler which was ALSO out of water. I could buy a bottle at front desk for cash only.

The food (and coffee) were mediocre, at best. We walked across the street to the excellent restaurant every morning to avoid the free breakfast. The pool has now been closed for at least two years. The fact that you only get your room cleaned every three days and need to find someone if you need clean towels or sheets more often than that is a big negative. The staff are very nice and doing their best but this seems like corporate cost cutting and trying to squeeze every dollar out of their customers.

Not good!
Room was filthy out dated. The TV did not work, very little hot water for shower. The room was 81 degrees and with the ac on it never cooled off, probably because the vents were packed with dust. To top it off the pool was out of order.

Upon entering our room, we noted a silverfish on the bathroom floor. The front desk staff were not friendly, seemed befuddled by some room rearrangements that one of them made and the other couldn’t seem to follow. Our hairdryer was broken, the pool was “ out of service” and has been for months. The second floor hallways were uncomfortably hot. This stay cost $200 and change; definitely not worth it. The exterior was poorly kept and overgrown with weeds.

Then we went to our room. Within two minutes of being in the room, my kids found adult men’s underwear on the floor by the couch. They were covered in poop. After telling the front desk, she said she would send cleaning staff. I packed my mom and kids up and went downstairs for a new room because there was no way we were staying in that disgusting room that clearly was not cleaned.
We were given a new room which had a huge hold in the wall. We tried to make the best of the rest of our stay. In the morning, we went out and I left the do not disturb sign on the door. W when we came back our door was propped open with a chair with no one in it and our stuff still in the room. This was also an hour before check-out time. Our room was totally open to anyone in the hotel for who knows how long.
The front desk clerk apologized and claims to have refunded my card but I have not received the refund yet. Worst experience.

Only positive is the proximity to Ithaca College.
Maid service every 3 days. Pool not operational. Cold scrambled eggs for breakfast. No hot water on day one. Very tired property. Would not recommend.

the Hotel is located next to the park so we can walk to Buttermilk Falls State Park; When our reservation (booked two rooms with reservation confirmation) did not match the hotel records, the front desk lady refused to make any adjustments. Four people had to stay into one room, and it was inconvenient to use the bathroom. Moreover , one lady wanted to add a blanket but was also refused. The bathtub in the room drained very slowly, and we had to soak our feet in the water when taking a shower.

Was a nice place, however, I booked this hotel in part because it had a pool. I traveled in August with 3 teenage boys and wanted to be able to cool off at the end of the day. Upon check-in I was informed that the pool had been closed "for months" and would be closed "for months" This fact should have been posted somewhere so I could have decided if I wanted to find another place with a pool. And the reason given for being closed was because the heater was broken? Seriously? I have a pool and swim in it all summer with no heater.
But other than that its a decent place to stay at a good price.

Very negative experience, room wasn’t ready on time, housekeeping never came when requested, dirty, bugs in the room, pool out of order, stains everywhere, “free” breakfast was disgusting with a broken waffle maker. Only somewhat positive was front desk staff were friendly and responsive when directly asked for supplies such as towels or lotion. Not in a good location in terms of food near by either…. Not happy.

This place is good, room is clean and has everything, breakfast is quite good. It has all the "stuff" you'll need, even a business center. The staff is ok, will attend to your requests, just I try not to talk to them unless necessary due to their "tone".

My husband and I were extrenely disappointed with our stay at Country Inn & Suites in Ithaca. The chair in our suite had a hole in it; the bathroom floor was always slipperly; the pool was not working; the tv in the gym was not working;; one of two treadmills was broken and the one that did work had a large rip on the belt along with several smaller ones. If the hotel remains open, it needs a major overhaul.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and paid over $1000. Each room was little over $265 per night and it was not worth it. The front desk person was not friendly and the cleaning staff does not speak English. The rooms had funky smell along with the 2nd floor hallway. The toilet was not flushing properly, and the furniture was very old and sticky. The hallway was hot and smelly. Very disappointed with this place, but the area around this hotel is pretty and safe.
