Place was nice people were nice. My bed covers had a couple small blood stains on it which was pretty gross. Breakfast buffet was 30$ and I found hair in my potatoes. Place is nice but should watch what there servicing to people

overall, a very good and comfortable stay during a canceled flight. very friendly staff. my only complaint (very minor) is that the restaurant dinner menu was surprisingly limited in options.

This facility was perfect! The food was unbelievable and we wanted to take the chef home with us! The shuttle service was convienient and the staff and wait staff were friendly, helpful and professional!

They charged me the hotel room and the $75 hold then called me and said i owe $50 for parking when it clearly said parking was only $35. They then emailed me the bill that showed I was billed for way less than what I was actually billed for.

Good enough, but not worth over $900
My stay with my friend was good enough for our time there spent with our friends at MFF. I will say however that the condition of the room was a bit disappointing. For starters, though the bathroom was relatively clean, there was a very noticeable amount of rust on some of the lights and towel racks as well as a heavy layer of dust on the toilet and bathtub. Whenever I would turn on the light you can see dust particles flying around all over just from breathing. When we would stay over to charge our phones overnight the plugs at the base of the lamp between the beds were EXTREMELY worn out, so much that the plug caused sparks so we had to pay close attention to avoid causing any fires. The TV as well was virtually unusable for Netflix and Youtube having spent about half an hour to attempt to sign in unfortunately that never happened. (I should mention my friend's account may still be linked to that tv since we couldn't get to the point to where he could sign out) I would recommend this hotel again but not for the price of what we paid for the room. $947 for four days with rust, dust, sketchy plugs, and a barely functioning television I would argue would be more fair to ~$650 to $750 for a low end room like S117.

The room was small and somewhat cramped but the bed was reasonably comfortable. The big problem that would keep me from returning is that there is a six inch gap between the curtain and the window and wall that were facing a brightly lit courtyard and overlooking the pool. It was so bright in the room I had a difficult time sleeping. There are a ton of hotel options around O'Hare and I will definitely stay at a different hotel next time.

Location isn't everything
Clearly hasn't been updated in a long time. There is no vent in the bathroom so the paint is peeling, mold is growing, and all metal is rusting. The convenience to the airport does not make up for the condition of the rooms. Not worth the money.

We made our reservation through Expedia on the same day to celebrate our anniversary. We live just 20 minutes from the hotel. When we arrived we were surprised that we had to pay $32 for parking and a credit card charge of $75 in case there was any damage. (Although we were told that they would return it to us) It is the first hotel that charges us this type of charge. In other words, we paid more than twice as much for the charges as for the stay. We had good service, the room was beautiful, and clean. I could understand the charges of $75 in case of damage and hopefully we will receive back in a few days. But the charge for the parking that was too much. That’s why for the extra charge we don’t if we would stay again.

Stayed at this location for the Chicago Marathon. It was super convenient, it's a quick shuttle bus ride from the O'Hare Airport and the CTA transit stop is a 3 minute walk. I was incredibly impressed by the exceptional hospitality by the front desk staff. I would highly recommend staying here.

Yah completely unhelpful staff. I needed a room with three beds. That hotel couldn’t accommodate but the Marriott literally less than a mile away could and they refused to relocate me.
They just kept talking about how they couldn’t do this and couldn’t do that. Come up with solutions not excuses.

Overall not a bad experience. The in room coffee was not good and the creamer in the room was expired/curdled. It was a chore to get this rectified. Also the $32 nightly parking fee could have been more transparent. No continental breakfast and charges for WiFi make this otherwise nice stay seem lacking in amenities. Although the rooms have a separate bin for recycling the staff made it clear that that was just for show. All staff was friendly and professional.

Also When I booked the hotel I called and asked if the pool was heated, they stated it’s heated to almost 78 degrees. This was the reason I booked the hotel. POOL WAS FREEZING !!!!! I barely was able to put my toes in the pool and all the other adults said the same. This was far away from downtown and traffic is atrocious and trains jam packed. Everyone was nice but they should have been honest about the pool temperature.

The personnel at the check-in counter was very nice and helpful. At the bar, had a great time. Even the chauffeur of the airport shuttle was really nice. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The location near the blue line was a plus. Would stay there again for sure.

All of the staff was great! Except for the shuttle driver who sitting in a vehicle saying it would leave at 3:30. When my girlfriend and I got in at 3:25 and waited for ten minutes, she went inside to ask when the shuttle was leaving. They said that a van left instead. How does the shuttle driver not tell us this?

We really like the Marriott. It was fun to sit it the pool and watch the planes fly over. Our room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. I only wish the parking wasn’t so expensive. Otherwise it was great. Would stay here again.

The location is great for access to O'Hare. The rooms are adequate for what is probably going to be a one-night stay for most guests. In the last month, I've stayed at three Marriott properties (Boise, Kalamazoo), and this is the only one that charges for WiFi and breakfast. I don't mind paying for breakfast, but paying for WiFi?!?!?!? I'd still stay here again, but I am thankful that I can do a local WiFi hotspot with my phone.

Such a wonderful hotel to stay at. Will definitely return next time I come back to Chicago. It’s right beside the Chicago O Hare Airport as well as Downtown Chicago. The pool is both outdoor as well as indoor which makes it super fun for both the kids and the adults. The receptionist was super friendly and nice. Her name is Lovely and she made the stay so much better! I highly recommend this place with no doubt.

The Marriott River Pkwy has great rooms and beds. This one did not. The decor was old, the pillows were all super flat, and the person at the desk told me the shuttle was coming at 7:30 (at 7:25) but when I came down one minute later they said it already left and claimed it was 7:31 despite the staff member I talked to on the phone standing literally right by the window where the shuttle was.

We have been here before and it doesn’t meet expectations of a Marriott. While this property is in a great location, it is an older structure and certain areas need serious renovation. The pool area needs updates. The north tower is the better section of the hotel.

Disappointed to say the least. It looked a lot nicer in pictures.
The bathroom had hair in the tub and on the ceiling.. how does it even get on the ceiling in the first place..
The mattress protector had blood stains on it.
Sheet on mattress had a hole in it.
The wall by the window was peeling away. Hard to explain accurately but it was deteriorating away from the wall like it had water damage.
The shower takes awhile to get hot but when it does, it gets hot hot.
We ate dinner down stairs the first night and the restaurant looks nice upon arrival… when we sat down it was pretty disappointing. The glasses were disgusting, covered in finger prints and water spots. Very grimy. The waiter took forever as well. We were done eating for about 20 minutes and when we found him, he was standing on his phone at the podium doing nothing.. on the plus side.. the food wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be after our service and the situation of the hotel.
We stayed 4 nights and our total cost including parking and 1 nights dinner was $1100.. in my opinion, it was just a lot of money for not a great experience.

The two beds provided by them isn’t sufficient enough for two people to sleep in and we have requested them to provide extra soap which wasn’t provided by them.. we didn’t expect this from Marriott stay
