The check in was good. The young lady Autumn was training and I was very patient and she did well with my requests.
The ironing board did not stay upright, there were no wash towels in the bathroom.
But overall we enjoyed our stay. It has been years since staying at a Marriott.

Resort fee is a junk fee. Offer it as an opt-in feature so that customers aren’t forced to pay it. Also, communicate with Expedia about fee amount. Free WIFI not explained—shouldn’t have to sign in for paid program to get it. Found hair in the bathroom that wasn’t ours. Staff was apologetic and offered free Bonvoy points. But still.

We stayed here with our teenage kids for a few days. The staff here is amazing. The service here does not compare to any service I have experienced on the west coast while traveling. The housekeeping staff was always so friendly and courteous every morning I would see them, always offering anything that we may need. Valet was always there to receive us and very prompt to retrieving our car when we needed it. I loved that their business center was open 24 hours. That came in handy one night. This hotel is also linked to two different shopping malls and offers a Starbucks and Yard House inside. The proximity to the shops and restaurants was excellent.

Convenient, clean and modern hotel in Back Bay of
Trip with my 6 year old granddaughter. Pleased to get off the train at Back Bay and walk through Copley mall to the hotel. Easy and friendly check-in. Got a destination card which gave us $25 per day for breakfast. Large buffet or menu selections with healthy options. Very clean and comfortable room with an amazing view. Large exercise facilities and nice clean pool. When we checked out they even gave the little one a little stuffed animal.

VERY COLD POOL
We picked this hotel for the pool - but couldn't believe how COLD it was. Our kiddo loves swimming, so much so that we were in that pool three times, but she couldn't last more than 15 minutes because it was so cold.
We would have stayed longer at the property but ended up leaving early because of it. Won't go back.

Before chose hotel CALLED & CONFIRMED they had a hot tub. NO hot tub. $5 water $3 to play games at breakfast.

Some staff were extremely nice (Christina and Mattie? -- sorry if I got these names wrong! They were amazing, helpful, friendly) and others were actively rude/oddly resentful. At check in I waited about 15 mins at the empty luggage hold desk while the staff member at the concierge desk nearby ignored me even though he wasn't helping anyone. At check out early morning I wanted to ask a couple of questions about recommended travel time to the airport etc. and the staff member at the desk was so rude (before I even asked my first question) it threw me off, I got flustered and forgot all my questions and almost deposited my keys in the box even though my luggage was still in my room. Again, this was random unwarranted rudeness-- it was the first time they had ever met me and I hadn't even opened my mouth...
But since cleanliness is the most important thing to me, I still give it 4 stars.

No free WiFi. No free on-site parking (daily rate at the public parking was expensive - $44 a day). Also, there is a $25 destination fee per day on top of the room rate, which was kind of deceiving.

We have stayed at this property many times. The renovations are nice but, perhaps, too modern. The lack of rug on the room floor was uncomfortable. Easier to clean, I am sure.

Great hotel, but you will be gouged with fees
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good amenities and great location. My one complaint is that they should reconsider their price gouging in their "Destination Fee". Good luck trying to get anyone to rationally explain what this does or what its purpose is. You basically get held hostage for $25 per day, and if you don't use $25 worth of crappy awful Yard House room service delivery, you'll get charged it as a fee. Absolutely low brow and cheap. It's embarrassing that this brand has this fee and scams it onto people as you're checking out. Marriott should be embarrassed. If you can get over being gouged $25 per day with no explanation, you will otherwise like this hotel. I'd love to see senior management come down to the front desk to try to explain what this fee does - Because all the desk staff did to me today was stammer. Ridiculous.

There was a stain in the bed sheets and there were no slippers placed in the room. The housekeeping just gave us the sheets to change the bed sheets our selves.

Overall I was OK with the services, location is excellent, which was the main reason why I picked this hotel There is one charge which was unheard of. During our check-in they gave us a $ 25 coupon ( Destination) to be used in their restaurant, with no further explanations how to use it. We later found out that you need to charge the room so they can deduct it from your bill on the check out. In the final invoice for each day the hotel charges $25, which means if you dont eat in their restaurant you will be charged and if you pay your restaurant bill at the table you will still be charged because you have not charged your room. I found this extra charge very odd, made a complaint to the management during my check out but would like Expedia to know about this very unreasonable charge of this hotel.

The hotel is very nice, but very expensive. We only stayed there one night out of the 10 days we'd planned. They seemed to charge for every little thing. It got annoying fast. We found an even nicer hotel for less money and enjoyed the rest of our visit.

Elevators don’t have buttons inside-need to enter your floor out by bank of them and get onto the one assigned to you. Will only stop at floors programmed into it, so if you get on wrong one you need to ride all the way back down and start over

Great location in Boston, can get to all the popular tourist destinations by walking or taking the T. Amtrak station is just a short walk across the shopping mall. Room was modern and comfortable. The destination fee included a daily food credit at the restaurant/bar, wifi access, and a ticket for the trolley tour which stops right in front of the hotel. The indoor pool and fitness center was also a nice amenity.

When I checked in, they charge a $25 "Destination fee" that can only be redeemed at their in house restaurant. Turns in to fee of $29.11 with tax added, pure greed on Marriott's part, you should not do business with a company that comes upwith a fake fee.
