The room was extremely cold! Heat could not be adjusted from the room. When I complained to the front desk, I was offered a small space heater and an extra blanket. It was explained that your room temperature cannot be controlled by you, but is a central system forthe entire hotel.

4 Paws Up for Having a Dog Park
Very pleasant. I requested a room near the dog park—clerk gave me the perfect room. The people are very nice at the hotel and it is very convenient to Route 95. A nice, hot, complimentary breakfast is served every morning.

This hotel have no thermostant in the room. No fan to conceal the noise outside and the rude guests inside. Located on a busy street, we heard the ambulance in the middle of the night. I wish we read the reviews before we checked in.
The front desk was nice person.

Our first room was a double bed room which was great beacuse i had my kids with me however it was an uncomfortable stay the room was extremely hot. The bathroom door lock was broken. The shower did not work the shower head was broken. Had to complain then was moved to a king room At first the room seemed way better, but as the hours went by, it started getting very hot again in the room and we noticed roaches Throughout that night. Very unkept. Also, there was people who were intoxicated running in the halls and outside (the back area) and they left the back door wedged' opened all four nights we stayed for anyone to enter the hotel which felt very unsafe. Unable to get refund for early checkout. Would not recommand this hotel.

Staff was very nice. I was surprised to be told that the hotel temperature was set for the whole hotel, so no individual room temperatures could be set for the convenience of the traveler. Country Inn & Suites had not yet turned on the heat, so I was asked to sign a statement that I understood this. I was told that I could get extra blankets at the front desk, which I did. Very odd. Also, I selected Country Inn & Suites in part because they allow pets. I brought a dachsund. When checking in, I was told that there was an extra $25 charge for the dog. I did not know that there would be an extra charge.

Gone down hill over the years.
I've been coming to this location on and off for over 15 years because it was convenient, reasonably priced, had comfortable beds, and a decent breakfast. Im not sure if they're under new ownership or something else, but the beds are very hard now, they've scaled back the breakfast selections, the rooms are poorly maintained and they've raised their rates. As much as I used to like staying here, I think it's time to find a new hotel to stay at when I come to Fredericksburg.

Family friendly!
We live in the area and just booked the hotel for my daughters bday they wanted to swim! The front desk was incredibly nice and friendly to us and the kids! Definitely keeping this hotel in mind when the kids want to go swimming again in winter!

Not the best Country Inn & Suites
No personnel at front desk when we arrived. Poor breakfast (hard-boiled egg/biscuit/gravy) vs other Country Inn & Suites we’ve stayed in. Ran out of coffee during breakfast time. Dirty elevator and lobby.

Another nice stay at Country Inn and Suites
We love staying at the Country Inn and Suites. This was my first time at the one in Fredericksburg but we also love the one in Rocky Mount, NC. The staff are always so nice and the rooms are big and comfortable and they are always more affordable than the other big chain hotels.

I've stayed here a couple times traveling south on I-95. It is an average place. Not 5 star but a reasonably priced place to get a night's sleep and warm breakfast. I'll probably stay here again.

Lovely place but needs some improvement
Lovely place with great employees. Comfortable bed with great pillows.

Staff were best part of stay.
Pros: Staff extremely friendly and responsive.
Cons: 1 working elevator for guest and employees, makes checking out very hard in the morning battling cleaning staff and their carts. Rooms shower / tub was clogged with hair. Once maintenance was able to unclog drain room smelled like burnt hair all night!

Everything was very good. Unclear if the hvac was working correctly- it was set to heat when I arrived but the room was freezing. The window was ajar - closed it set to ac/71 and then everything was fine.

Good Value for the price
Room was clean, but hotel is not new. Bed and pillows were comfortable.Bathroom door scraped the floor. Shower Head was nice and water was hot. Generally speaking, room was nice.... Outlets, USB charging ports, Large TV, etc. Breakfast was good with an excellent variety of choices.

Heat didn’t work in the room. The AC was on upon arrival. Turned it off and the room stayed cold the first night at 60 degrees per the thermostat in the room. Called front desk. They said just turn the air off which we already did and said there isn’t anything they could do but give a blanket. The hot tub was drained almost to empty with no one working on it or cleaning it. The pool had a bunch of dead bugs floating around and everything around looked like it hadn’t been maintained in years. It’s attatched to a dennys which is 24 hours. Bathroom was clean. Gym was decent. I’d pay the extra $40 and stay across the street next time.

Property is well kept. Area around the property is clean and well kept. Property condition & facilities was fair. Our bathroom door was warped and would not close. Staff & Service was fair. The hotel desk staff were helpful and great. However, I did not appreciate being told there was no housekeeping on Sunday. Saturday housekeeping provide only one wash cloth when our room had three registered adults.

Rm. 114 had a bad odor (possibly the laminate floor). A live worm was on the floor in the middle of the room and a bug was flying around. There was definitely dirt on the left side of the outer tub. Won't stay at a Radisson again.

Our room was a little worn, there was a crack in the bathroom sink, but it was very clean and the bed and linens were great. The hallway rug needed a deep clean or replacement. The staff was great, doggie treats at check-in was a sweet gesture. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. It’s hard to find good hotels that are dog friendly. We will stay here again.

Dog friendly property with a nice dog walking area-however, it is not lit at night so I didn’t feel safe. The pool had a layer of some kind of foam/film on the surface. The staff was friendly and the room was decent and fairly clean.

The rug had many stains, some quite large, the paint on the bathroom door was chipping and there were black stains around the bath tub caulking and wall. We were traveling from FL to RI and we were extremely tired and went to sleep. The bed was comfortable. Also there was no hot water which may have been because the building was hit by lightening. No one told us anything so who knows!

This is a nice hotel with pleasant staff. The rooms are nice and roomy. They could use a bigger trashcan in the bedrooms. The bathroom could use a deep cleaning, but it was clean enough. There were two lightbulbs out in the bathroom, so I switched one out with the desk lamp. I'm sure had I asked the staff they would have replaced them. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was good, though it would have been better had there been bacon and/or sausage. The staff is pleasant. We would stay here again.

Hotel had a smell - tub and bathroom were dirty , room was outdated and unkept . The pool was cloudy and the hottub was drained and empty making it a huge safety concern in the pool area . The room was large in size which was the only positive part of the stay - however i felt as though i needed to wipe everything down before touching it.

Our room had no hot water- not in the shower or sink. We were so exhausted when we found out that we didn’t bother checking with the front desk. We thought they would just ask us to move. There was also mildew in the shower. Property was dated & not super clean.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I would stay here again. I had a great stay. The breakfast is a normal hotel waffles/powdered egg/fruit set up. However, there is a Denny's next door if you want to upgrade.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room needed a little TLC. There is a crack in the glass window (safety issue) and the freezer compartment in frig was completely frozen (block of ice) and unusable. I did tell the front desk when I checked out.

The hotel had a lot of broken ice machines. While the staff was polite they seemed to lack understanding of certain aspects of the hotel (We found a white piece of paper and they were unsure what it is until we had to look up the company and found it to be a rat glue trap). Area was nice.

A little run down for the price
Rooms are decent but outside of property is kind of run down. They charged my card twice and now I have to wait 3 days till the $700+ extra charge is refunded to my account. Their customer service insists there's nothing they can do and so I'm out a lot of money while on vacation.

While some guests in the hotel were freezing in their rooms and asking for heaters, it was so overly warm in our room and was not cool at all. Extremely stuffy and hard to sleep. I would rather it had been too cold.

Not the restaurant i expected
The clerk at the check in definitely had an attitude. Room was nice and comfortable. Hotels.com said there was a restaurant,bar and lounge but it was just a Dennys. I expected a bar and lounge and better good choices

This was a very nice, clean property. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was roomy. Convenient to the highway. Breakfast was good. Reasonably priced too. The only thing is a heads up for someone staying there, you cannot control the temperature of the room. It wasn't an issue for me, but some people may find the room too cool. The front desk offered heaters if you are cold.

Address in expedia and online is messed up. We and several other guests we talked to had to call the office for a correct address. Public areas are worn and a little shabby althoug room was clean and nice enough. Key card reader was messed up and we had to have them reset the key every day. Staff was super nice and very helpful.

I’ve stayed at this location on many occasions and keep returning. The staff are excellent with meeting my needs. I feel once I’m in my room it’s warm and cozy. I could possibly do a long term stay!
