This felt like a true international luxury property.
It felt restorative and there was great attention to detail. Would highly recommend!
Only negative is that the windows could use more sound proofing since you could hear some city noises such as ambulances from the nearby hospital.

Home away from home
A night in town for my birthday. Had to check in late but the room was available and well appointed with welcome champagne and fruit for my arrival. Upon check in I was offered a late check out even though I didn’t require it; it was a nice touch. Always professional, friendly and comfortable.

I booked the property because it had a great gym and spa. Upon my arrival i found out that the gym was moved to a temporary location and that the.mens spa facilities were closed completely. I was veryz dissapointed as this was the reason i chose to stay there

Great family stay
We had a staycation with our two kids (3 and 5) and had the most wonderful time. The staff was amazing and all the surprises were perfect. Chris the Page was great with our kids and they loved him!

The hot tub was under maintenance and was not. Notified until we checked in. Our room had stains all over the couch. We’ve stayed her numerous times any always prior to yesterday had an amazing time this time I was very disappointed.

I loved the hotel. It was beautiful and the location was perfect. Their decoration for thanksgiving and Christmas was stunning. It’s a great luxury hotel however, the staff were not friendly. The room service was not great, they were too slow and we never had enough cups in the room. When I asked for 3 sets of tea of cups, I was asked how many people are staying in the hotel room. I did not like the question as it made me feel like she wanted to ensure I am not asking for more cups. I have stayed in luxury hotels before and I just didn’t feel that they valued me.
Also, they charge for teas sachets which I think should be free. The staff downstairs were amazing though.

Perfect Everytime... All the Time
We have stayed at this location many, many times over the last 20 years or so. The staff is so welcoming, experienced and professional, and this includes everyone including the valet, doormen, bellmen, front desk, waiters and waitresses, room service, and housekeeping. I can not imagine any property offering a better experience, and the location is great.

The Peninsula is a beautiful and elegant hotel. The rooms and very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant Shanghai Terrace within the hotel is one of my favorite restaurants.
However, there was a real technical challenge with the Internet - good connectivity should be standard for a hotel of this category.
My room was on the 11th floor and when I needed the Internet for a 3 hour virtual Teams meeting it constantly broke down. Two persons from the hotel tried to help without any success. In the end I had to use my cell phone and go on 5G. Sorry, but the poor connectivity is really not acceptable nowadays.

One of the best - if not THE best - hotel experience we’ve had. The diff was the attitude of every employee we crossed paths with. Friendly and helpful.

Premier experience for our marathon weekend. The hotel provided a welcome gift full of healthy food and Gatorades for our evening before the run and goodies to help us heal after. They even created a marathon menu which was perfect for room service. The gym got us stretched and ready to run. Always a 5 star stay here at the Peninsula Chicago

Perfect Stay for Engagement Surprise
This was the most amazing hotel experience I've had in my life. I planned a surprise engagement for my girlfriend and the hotel staff (Evelyn) went above and beyond to ensure it was a memorable experience. All of the staff was incredible and the property is breath-taking. Kudos to everyone!

If you are staying in Chicago - this is the hotel to stay at. The hotel is one of the best. The room was great, the bed was comfortable. The service is one of the best we experienced. Also, the hotel is in the best location in downtown Chicago. Many restaurants and shopping within one block.

By far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The service is on a whole new level. You are treated like royalty the entire time you are there. So many amenities available to you and it is a great and very walkable location. We will definitely be staying again.

Whenever we visit Chicago we always stay at The Peninsula because the service is impeccable. We stay here each year for Northcoast music festival and for my wife’s birthday. The staff is extremely friendly and always looking to help make your stay memorable. Each night when we would get back from the festival they would have a bucket of ice and waters ready. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff.

This is a spectacular hotel, which we expected based on reviews. But still, it exceeded expectations - gorgeous rooms with exceptional amenities in a great location. We were especially impressed by the staff and in particular our waitperson at Shanghai Terrace who went above and beyond. Can’t wait to return!

This hotel was clean! All the staff were amazing! When we checked into the hotel the kids were given a scavenger hunt with a prize at the end. The hotel was only one block from Michigan Ave. It felt safe, even when returning late at night. There was always staff outside the entrance. Valet parking with in and out privileges. The hotel was up a level from the street, which added to the safe feeling. We would recommend it anyone.

Excellent 5-star hôtel in the heart of Chicago. Rooms are pristine, service incredible. lobby restaurant was excellent. We used their spa and had a wonderful experience. Their fitness centre is excellent. Great set up for work; good desk setup, even have printer in the room. Will return without hesitation.

Peninsula staycation
As the top rated hotel in the country, I’d say it’s close but not the very best. Prices are high and for what you pay per night I think expectations are not quite what they should be. Have stayed at other properties in Chicago that I would consider better in multiple ways.

The Peninsula is a new favorite of mine. Have stayed here before and each time is a beautiful, exceptional experience on every level. Everything at our stay was amazing! The only reason I didn’t give this a five star was due to how hot it was in our room. Even with the thermostat set at the lowest option it was very unbearable to sleep well. To be honest it may detour us from

Hotel concierge broke my carry on
The concierge broke one of the wheels of my carry on, they called me and offer to send to repair but I stayed only one night so I can't leave my carry and wait 5-7 days also I didn't have time to buy another one in town. I know accidents happen but it was an inconvenience.

My kids were really disappointed that the ice rink is closed. We chose to stay here on Christmas because of the ice rink. A notice would have been appreciated. We would have cancelled if we knew the rink was closed. My children want to leave.
