The hotel is quite good, and always my go-to because of Mooo Restaurant off its lobby. Where the hotel can improve is in the reception experience. It’s really low-energy, borderline rude. Most recent example was Shauna last night being quite unhelpful with me on the phone as I called the hotel en route from the airport. Wasn’t a huge deal, but the reception folks should exert a super positive, helpful, and welcoming energy, which does not exist today, in my consistent experience.

Disappointing
Overall the experience was not as advertised. We paid a premium for a “view” of the Common. The Boston Common was only visible from a narrow angle through one of the windows at the far end of the room. The room was advertised to have a working fireplace. When we decided to light it after dinner, when we had settled in to watch some US Open tennis after wandering the city, we found that management shuts off the pilot lights and you have to call down to the front desk and ask someone to come up and light it for you. Not really what you’re looking for at that point in the evening. The tile grout in the shower was badly stained, indicating it had been poorly cleaned on a consistent basis, which gave an uncomfortable vibe to the bathroom experience. The fixtures in the bathroom were difficult to operate.

Best Boutique Hotel in Boston
The coziness of the hotel, the beautifully decorated room and the proximity to much of what Boston has to offer, made this birthday getaway great. This is what every boutique hotel should strive to be like.

The location of XV Beacon is fantastic. However, we has issues with a faulty fire alarm that woke us up in the middle of the night - twice. The hot water was also spotty in our room and we had to call maintenance. It was a nice change to stay here but not sure if it's worth a future investment.

Not a 5 Star Hotel
I am so surprised this is a 5 star hotel. It did not have 5 star hotel amenities. For starters the toilet paper was like a Brillo pad!! Why would a 5 star hotel have such crappy toilet paper? Gas stations have softer toilet paper. The towels were also a very poor quality. They were ribbed and very rough. The pictures online must be from 15 years ago because the hotel DOES NOT look like that! There is no way this place is worth $400-$500 a night. I’m so disappointed I used my free hotels.com nights for this place. The furniture in the room is worn and dated and the carpeting needs to be replaced. The desk in the room was all chipped, wobbly and worn. The end tables were damaged. The bed was comfortable, but it was incredibly small. It was more the size of a full size bed than a queen. They had a car service, but it was hardly ever available. We reserved the car for a dinner drop off and then they wanted to drop us off 30 minutes early. What’s the point in a reservation?Every time we were coming and going there was no one holding the door open. And no one brought our luggage to our room. There was an espresso machine in the room but it did not work. Everything about this place was a disappointment!

I loved the audio system throughout the room and bathroom, made a great vibe. 24hr room service was also great. Staff was friendly and great. I know some of these things are expect of a 5 star establishment but it still makes them great.

The property was as advertised! A big thanks to everyone. It was cleanly, hospitable, upscale, and warm. I highly recommend it. Jeff at reception was top notch and concierge Paige was friendly and helpful. The attention to detail was appreciated and they even had some birthday cake awaiting us for the special occassion. Valet guys were friendly and pleasant but in general there isn't much space at entrance and ticket system was unclear. Also minibar was expensive for what you get considering they cannot actually stock in the room and you have to wait for delivery (thanks Covid!)...But no major complaints and no issues. It was an all around great experience and I highly recommend it!

We liked the walkability to faneuil hall, historic sites, boston garden. Our room was updated nicely, but unfortunately the a/c was very noisy and turned off and on multiple times during the night, waking us each time. Ended turning it completely off the second night. The hotel itself was beautiful, with Mooo restaurant adjacent to the lobby. The food was delicious. Service at the hotel and the restaurant was impecable. Overall a very nice stay.

Impeccably honest
Fifteen Beacon is a great hotel. Its location is awesome, central to Boston. The staff is fair and impeccably honest. I accidently double paid for a drive to the airport and days after we left, they credited my credit card. Awesome to see such honesty. The fire alarm went off one night - false alarm. They credited that night. Fair and reasonable. I'd stay here again and recommend it to others.

Recommend to stay here for a feeling of how it is to live in Boston. Liked the quality of the furniture and the elevator. The bathroom is a good size. The shower head is the one from the top. I like the traditional one.

Simply the best hotel in Boston without question.
From the moment, we arrived Fernando the valet took care of our car and showed us our lovely room. Miriam at the front desk was superb as was Dan at front desk. This is an extraordinary hotel in every way. It clearly beats all the other high end properties in Boston. We loved having Moo, the fantastic steak restaurant connected to the hotel. This is a place we will return to when we come back to Boston.

There were so many thoughtful touches and amenities, such as bathrobes, slippers, fresh flowers on the room service tray and in the bathroom, newspaper delivery, a town car for local transport,etc. I also loved the cozy gas fireplace. I would absolutely stay here again.

We went for our 43rd Anniversary. XV Beacon staff could not have been more wonderful - the doorman, the desk clerk, the bartender, the wait staff, especially San Cler who served us breakfast both days. Each and every staff member falls into the "Plus" category - they were beyond gracious.

The customer service is excellent. I requested to have dinner available in our room when we arrived, as our time was limited between events. The restaurant and hotel worked together with one phone call from me. Perfect, seamless, and effortless. Arriving to a beautiful set dinner was warming. Our meal was impeccable prepared! It made our evening go from exciting to beyond compare. You set the standard... we’ll definitely return... over and over as we have not experienced such exceptional service.

The staff was great was the only thing great about this hotel. The hotel itself needs a refresh. Our sink was cracked, lights didn’t work, window boxes out our window where desolate, poor lighting in general in the room, overall it looks worn. Mooo Restaurant in the hotel smelled like rotten milk, like overpowering. I was so excited to stay here especially having seen the Condé Nast recommendation...disappointed.

Our room was the size of a shoe box. The bathroom was so small I could touch both sides with my arms. I use to come here for business for 7 years and was so excited to return. I left with deep regret that all my memories were destroyed by a terrible room, stuffy since the ac could not cool the room, it was blasting in our face so we had to sleep at the foot of the bed, garbage truck dumping bottles at 5am, use to have the best turn but now you get a mini bottle of water with Emergenc drink packet. Left deeply disappointed.

Courteous Side of Boston
Kudos to the hiring manager; without exception from the moment we stepped out of our car we were greeted with smiles and genuine welcome... that in and of itself is not unusual, but after a long cold winter Bostonians can sometimes become irritable and themselves not so warm. All the more reason we were pleased and impressed by the entire staff at each and every point of contact ... to the point that I felt compelled to write this review. It was our first stay but certainly won’t be our last.

Best Hotel In Boston!
Do yourself a favor and spoil yourself! Our stay at Fifteen Beacon was probably the most enjoyable of any hotel experience! From the minute we pulled up at Valet Parking to when we departed for the airport two days later, everyone provided 5-star service - valet guys, front desk, concierge, room service - could not be any better. Whenever we plan to return to Boston, it is nice to already know where we are going to stay.

Understated Elegance and Attentive Staff
This was our second stay at this welcoming, gracious hotel. The rooms are elegant, warm and inviting. The hotel staff is efficient, kind and helpful. I recommend 15 Beacon, a five-star experience from beginning to end.

Great location, but.......
All was as advertised except we had to ask for all the " complementary " items. We booked and paid for a room for three and there was only beds for two. We pointed this out and went to dinner and when we returned, we had beds for two, so, we made a second call and we started to put together a bed . Around eleven at night about the time we had it figured out, housekeeping showed up and was huffing and gruffing about what we had done, remember there are only 63 rooms. The roof garden area was nice in the morning. For us it really is not worth the extra money for a short stay as we live just two hours North, if we were staying four or five days maybe it would be a different situation or if we were from overseas. It started bad when we found our own parking and sort of stayed that way having to ask for things that were suppose to be there.

Loved the hotel building. Arrived quite late and the staff member I encountered was very nice and was expecting me by name, which I appreciated. The room was nice. I was expecting slightly better decor and finish for a 5 star but wasn't unhappy. The bathroom shower cubicle wasn't so well designed but all the amenities were there so it was fine. Some of the decor a little tired around the edges and the bed, while the linen was nice, wasn't the most comfy hotel bed I've slept in. Overall, a nice stay.
