You get what you pay for. It’s cheap and walkable to everything. It’s not very quiet.. we had a room next to the street and you can hear EVERYTHING. The elevator felt like it was going to break. The housekeeping didn’t speak English so I had to try and explain to them that I needed toilet paper…
There was a cockroach in the bathroom. No hand soap for the bathroom or kitchen…. I didn’t mind staying here even though my review sounds like I did. If this hotel wasn’t conveniently near the beach, shops and restaurants I would say not to stay here. But if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay this is a good option.

I'm a breastfeeding mother, and needed a place with a full size fridge so I can store my frozen milk and freeze ice packs. I searched a lot and this was one of the place that came up. I called them twice before booking and twice after booking to make sure I will have a refrigerator in my suite. We checked in at 1 am and my room only had a wine fridge- not even a mini fridge. I asked the front desk and they said they can move me the next day. Ok. Things happen and at least they are willing to fix it.
The next day they told me they are totally booked and they can't move me. I checked, they had vacancy, 6 units available. But no, they won't move me to a suite where I can access a refrigerator. The manager said they'll figure out "something", replaced my cooler with a mini fridge where the freezer was only good enough to fit my ice pack. It took 3 days to freeze my ice pack and by day two over half of my frozen milk had thawed. They at least let me store the rest in their communal refrigerator. They didn't want to go through the inconvenience of cleaning an extra room, so I had to be inconvenienced for a 5-day long stay. I'm cursing the day I decided to book this hotel.
CRAPPY wifi. Small, musty rooms with loud AC and sticky floors. Kitchen didn't even have paper or dish towels, all pans were nonstick and completely scratched. Shower stall so tiny it flooded the bathroom everytime we showered.
I don't know why it is listed as a 4-star hotel, it's a 3-star if I'm being overly

The staff was wonderful. We had issues with a water leak. They happily changed our room. Parking is across the street at a cost but easy to get to. Jaina, Pita, and Otto was very helpful.

Beware!
The place is not like the pictures.
I've got a dirty room with stains everywhere, ripped furniture, strong odor of mold!
I couldn't stayed there for 5 minutes.
Will call the city health department to inspect this place.
The smell is really bad!

I totally forgot the persons name but he was awesome. Our previous booking was canceled last minute when we flew in and he accommodated us so much! Early check-in ONLY if available but we still were able to get a room about 2 hours earlier than 3. Will definitely be staying here in the future, the staff at the bar downstairs were absolutely amazing! 5 stars for sure!

I spent 4 nights at the Metropole and absolutely enjoyed my stay! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the room actually looked like the photos on the website! The suite was soooo spacious, with a full kitchenette and all I needed to make a meal if I wanted to! It had both a fridge/freezer, a toaster, tea maker, coffee maker, microwave - amenities that were wonderful to have available - even if I didn’t end up using them! The living room and dining room areas were so comfortable and cute, with a giant mirror for silly outfit checks before heading into town! The bed was very comfy, soft, and a great resting spot after miles of walking and hours of dancing! I loved the place so much, I already booked it again for my next visit!!!!

This is by no means a 4 star hotel, uses very old photos and is false advertisement. The room was flithy and had to be cleaned again and was still dirty. The shower flooded the bathroom. The headboard to bed was falling apart flaking all over the bed. The hotel restaurant is a FAT TUESDAYS and plays loud hip hop and rap until midnight. There is no hotel common space for guests. The courtyard no longer has lounge chairs and is instead a loud outdoor bar for Fat Tuesday guests with metal chairs, and causes a noise disturbance in many of the rooms. The elevator wasn’t working at times and needed to carry luggage up the stairs. The whole place is run down. There are no guest amenities besides beach towels.

- -There a night club on the first floor playing geto music all night, hard to sleep.
Staff was nice
- cheap construction/remodel work, doors have large gaps, paint was sloppy, windows moldy.
Good location, not far to the beach and restaurants
- homeless people yelling at guests in front of the property and the security just placed on their phones
Overall if your over 25 or have children I would select a different place to stay.

The entire room was sticky and unclean. The white leather bed frame was completely worn out and nasty. There was not trash can in the kitchen area. There was a very tiny TV in the living room area that was broken and the screen wasn’t clear. There were bugs in the kitchen area. The staff was not attentive. There was a night club directly below our room with loud bass music going into the early morning hours making it impossible to sleep. Terrible experience!!

The rest needs work.
The front desk couldn’t find our reservation, even with me providing the confirmation number from Expedia. The room wasn’t ready at check in time.
When we got to the room, there was no toilet paper provided. - had to take a long walk back to the front desk to request it - because they wouldn’t answer the front desk phone.
The handle for the shower fell off - had to go back to the front desk and get the maintenance person to come to the room and re attach it so the shower would work.
We only stayed the one night. It’s alright. This hotel was renovated probably 5 years ago, and now everything is worn and showing signs of decay. The Reno was not done to a high standard, so the grout in the bathrooms is grayed and chipped - the paint is worn - the headboards are cracked and the vinyl covering is split. For the money. I would not stay here again.

Super convenient location - Very close to the beach and the strip! A little noisy in the mornings (garbage pick up), but otherwise a great stay. AC was blasting, staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I liked the location but didn't liked the Cleanliness of the room, they offered me to change the room but as I already cleaned it by myself, no longer needed to change the room.
On the last night the rooftop inside the room was leaking and all my stuff get wet, as well as the apartment too.
The managment and the staff was friendly and changed my room as they heard what happened.

The bedframe I had to sleep in was so gross it was peeling. The microwave did not work. And it was so noisy at night. Parking was a nightmare. Would not stay there again

The hotel was excellent as far as walking distant to south beach less tham 5 mins. I was in the center of south beach. The hotel was affordable. So as far as the room .... the room was confortable love the setup of the whole suite bathroom and kitchen was very nice. Cons: the tv in the bedroom didnt work neither the tv in the living room (worked first night thats it) the outlet in the bathrr\oom didnt work either bummer cus i had to fix my hair and plug my flat irons outside the bathroom. but overall i will 3 stars because i love tv to see whats going on where im at. so beware of 310 no wroking tv and outlet in batrhroom does not work. other than that it was nice. the bedroom could use some painting up in the ceiling and also the stains on the amnd around the headboard gross not too many but the ones there made me gringe.

The property is very poorly managed. We had to call maintenance to fix the lock twice during 3 days. The housekeeping is shoddy at best, they didn’t clean the rooms properly.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, i feel the staff is the only reason the hotel is still standing.

This hotel is a 2.5-star hotel, definitely not 4 stars as the building is already degrading. The floor is uneven and the elevator makes noises when we got in. The pictures online do not reflect the condition of this hotel.
The AC is ice cold in the living room but no cold air could get in the bedroom.
The location of this hotel is great if you like to party and walk to the beach, and the downside is that you can hear everything in the street from your hotel room. The wall is thin and we could hear someone having sex next door.

First off…there was mold in our first room on the ceiling. The telephone was not in the wall. The air conditioner didn’t work in the main room, so they moved us. The phone rang off the hook so I just ended up calling Expedia for help.
The second suite was much better, HOWEVER, the phone was not plugged in the wall… the TVs only have 32 channels…they have static all over them and are extremely outdated. I was charged $139.10 after they told me I was good to go when I checked out and didn’t order not 1 item to my door, at the bar, or at the restaurant. I have tried to call today several times and the phone is off the hook. NEVER AGAIN!

After booking my trip I saw the reviews and people had mix feelings about this place. Let me start off by saying the hospitality was amazing. My friend And I booked the spot for 1 bed and 1 pull out couch and the manager bumped us up to 2 bedrooms. I had an amazing experience. Beach towels and regular towels were always available. They had free drinks from 5-6 for happy hour. Area is nice and clean. 10/10!

Just okay for the price; three nights was about $340 after all taxes & fees and I dont think I'd want to spend any more than that. The bed couldve been much better and there was not a rainfall shower head as described. No major complaints really and it's certainly not a luxury hotel but a good budget option.

A boutique hotel that exceeds our expectation
We were quite sceptical about this hotel when we first booked due to all the unfavourable comments we have seen online but both my partner and I agreed that this hotel deserves a better review than what’s said online. The staff at the reception on 31st Jan (nighttime) -can’t remember their names were great and friendly, there’s an elevator in the hotel which is amazing as we have huge luggage, the room is clean and massive with plenty of lightings, there’s even a kitchen if you would like to prepare small meals. Although you could see a bit of wear and tear, the room and its design are modern. If there’s one thing to complain is perhaps the little gap in the shower door, as after showers, the floor was completely wet but it didn’t bother us much. We only stayed for one night as it’s just an overnight stay before we flew back, only wishes that we have stayed longer. The hotel is also really closed to the South Beach.

Pros: spacious rooms, location, decor, in general great apartment for the price (we got a promo deal)
Cons: seems to need maintenence/repairs (safe box didn't work, toilet leaking on the floor a bit, refrigerator leaking a bit) but we only stayed one night so didn't mind. Little pool was not heated. No early check-in or luggage storage service available.

Very old property 1 block off of Ocean Blvd. Smells mouldy covered with deodorizers. Use heavily scented laundry products on bedding. Do not recommend for anyone with allergies or scent sensitivities. People in the back alley all night, noisy.

Property was not properly cleaned.
Heavy musk smell emanating from room, hallway, elevator. Not convenient for families with children.
Advertising happy hour drinks which some were limited and not available upon request at happy hour.
Phone not working in room for front desk. Kitchen sink water was not flowing properly.

Just getting off the plane you are tried.
I expect to be greeted Nicely
Once I got to the hotel.
Instead the women that was checking us in was very rude
I asked her can my bag stay here since we arrived a hour before check in
Her reply was does it look like I have some where to put it.
A simple no would of been fine.
The towels we have to return the old ones for new ones
When went down to get new towels they have not washed we had to use the old towels for a few days and yes with sand in them. Finally got new ones they did not have the one you put on the floor to step out of the shower. The only person was nice was the bartenders and the person that checked us out I even told him wish you were here when I checked in.
I guess they save the best for last
Would I stay here again. No.
There is other hotels alone the beach.

Not as good as before, still good for short stay
I've stayed here before and was looking forward to staying here again. I think that the pandemic is being overused as a reason to cut back on services.
The rooms, in 2 years since I've been here have taken a beating, so they look tired and oldish. AC's didn't cool as well as they should. Bed was just ok, definately older.
Check in was good, lady was friendly and did do her best to get us everything we needed.
However, the new COVID rules make it so:
- no cleaning happens until you check out
- can't hold your luggage
- provide limited things for the "fully stocked" kitchen like no napkins or paper towels, limited towels.
Check out went fine. They were giving out free lunches to guests for a few days but had never told us. When we asked for one to go, they told us no, so that was disappointing.

I was originally booked for another hotel. Upon arrival the other hotel was overbooked and thankfully so. We were moved over to Metropole Suites South Beach. We were very happy. The King Suite was perfect. It was spacious and clean. The staff- AMAZING. The ladies that greeted us at the front desk were friendly and down to earth. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in a great location. We will definitely stay here again!

Close to a beautiful beach
The studio/1 bedroom suite was much smaller then the pictures. Our room was facing the main st (collins ave) so it was extremely loud ALL night. We had to sleep with ear plugs. The courtyard was nice. The steps both inside and outside could use some cleanings. It was nice to have ice cold water in the lobby for the guest. It was nice to have beach towels for the guest. Which they would lend or rent out beach chair or umbrellas for the beach but I do understand it might be hard to control or keep clean. We just bought a sun umbrella at walgreens on the corner and it did the trick for us

The location was great but the room was a nightmare. We had a suite and there was not a single towel rack or trash can in the entire place. We were promised a full kitchen and instead the cabinets started leaking water and the dishwasher was broken. Also, despite the fact that the website promises beach towels it was almost impossible to get them. The bed frames were too big for the rooms so we couldn't even close the doors to the bedrooms. The only saving grace for this property was the fact that the location was amazing and it was overall pretty clean when we arrived.

On December 29 my plane home was canceled due to a snowstorm in WA. I didn’t know how long I was going to stay so in Miami so I booked four nights on Expedia. However I only stayed one night. I talked to the hotel front desk and told them I am leaving the next day because the hotel was not as advertised. Both the hotel and Expedia refuse to give me a refund. The pictures on Expedia are not how the hotel looks at all. I literally drove by the hotel 2 times because it was boarded up due to a renovation happening and on the 3 drive by I realized this was the place. Not as the pictures.

Wonderful stay close to all amenities
The Hotel Manager Santiago Arias was wonderful, and all the front desk and cleaning staff were very helpful. There was someone at the front desk 24/7. We had a fabulous time, the hotel is very close to everything, the beach, convenience store, groceries (Publix, Walgreens, CVS, Whole Foods), all kinds of shopping on Collins Ave, plenty of restaurants of all kinds as well as fast food and cafe's within walking distance. The room was great and spacious, we had everything we needed with kitchen, large fridge, family room, bedroom and bathroom/shower. Note: : A daily housekeeping service is not provided, however we got toilet paper, shampoo etc., and clean towels as needed from the cleaning staff or the front desk, and the room was cleaned several times during our stay. Towels are available at the front desk to go to the beach (3-minute walk). There are multiple bus stops nearby, with convenient routes to Aventura Mall, the Airport, and downtown Miami ($2.25 per ride), as well as the BigBus tour stop right outside the hotel. We used the rooftop pool at the nearby sister hotel with free towels by showing our room key. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we visit South Beach again.

It’s just ok
The room was nice and it is just a block from the parking garage at the beach. But service wasn’t that great. Extremely slow check in. We waited three hours for our room. There’s no pool and the lobby is being renovated so there isn’t a lobby right now. They do have an outdoor patio that’s OK. But I think I’ll spend a bit more next time for a hotel that is right on the beach and has either a parking garage or a valet service.

I really liked the set up of the unit. It was somewhat clean and seemed quiet. The televisions didn’t work and when we asked the front desk for help, they said they would send someone the next day(we checked out the next day) to come fix them. We also were awakened several times throughout the night by the fire alarms because one of the neighboring units had someone using the shower and the steam from it kept setting everyone’s alarms off. Beware if ordering DoorDash.. our order was claimed by someone in the courtyard area and we had to re-order.

Nice updated place to stay in the Sourh Beach area
Nice place to stay! Not a lot of storage but does have a nice closet. Updated compared to a lot of places in this area. An apartment style hotel room. Has a nice small kitchen. It’s nice it has a TV in the bedroom and in the living room area.

The toilet was broke in my room. And there was vomit in the toilet from the previous guest.
The front desk told me they had no other rooms. Yet I saw a couple and group of people check into their rooms after me.
They put me in an out of order room but would not officially change the room number so I was concerned about liability for that.

Property was very dirty. Thick dust built up on lamps. Sink didn’t drain. Water didn’t get hot in the shower. You had to take your own towels/sheets downstairs for new ones. We took sheets down and we’re told there were no more fitted sheets. Saw a rat running through the courtyard so we couldn’t hang out there. Always people loitering outside the property. Left this hotel 2 days early to go stay at Hilton downtown and wasn’t offered a refund. DO NOT stay here.

Room dirty sheets looks like haven’t been changed in years… had people earrings lipstick and some other reddish stains…. Paid for king online given another room queen with extremely uncomfortable bed … my money should be refunded… what hotel that cost so much not have clean sheets and attendant states they are out of them 😳

This is the worst experience I ever had they had bugs and lizards the toilet seat was way too little and the floor had water leaking from the air conditioner and it’s was a lot of mosquitoes and the hotel needed code to get in but the attendant was rude as ever and they tried to keep my money

This was me and my Fiancé first time in Miami Beach staying at Metropole Suites South Beach it was so disappointing getting there they didn’t have my room ready they told me they was booked already I spoke to The assistant manager complaining I had A reservation which was coolest staff they had to be honest but by him being the assistant manager he couldn’t do much for us far as the whole stay who know were the General manager was for the whole 4days we stay there he or she ain’t pop up at all so let’s begin the room was crazy dirty left over sand in the shower the dishes had to be re-wash due to food still being on the dishes the glass table had jelly and people fingerprints on the table !! the tv was not reliable dIRECTV only get like 10 Channels or less no movie channels at all don’t let it rain you can kiss your tv go bye lol I was making the bed to find someone use condom rapper on the side of the bed stand interior the door glass was dirty the stove was missing a knob one of The cabinet had broken foundation we had to buy Clorox wipes and clean the room over are self !! people at the first desk unprofessional they sleep on the job at night Shift and they let anybody inside the building without a mask it was paper in the elevator telling people it’s masks required one of the guest rip off the paper off elevator wall requiring to the mask requirement which was dumb and pointless some of the rooms have no peepholes like wow my fiancé feel unsafe on the property video Proof
