Best hotel stay ever
This is one of the best stay I have ever had in a hotel. We arrived early by 11.30am and we were allowed to check in and they even granted a late check out request. Very beautiful property in an awesome location. Breakfast was great, staff polite , room so neat and comfy. I would do this again and again. 10/10

We had some issues with no cold water coming out of the faucets in both the shower and the sink. We had to be careful not to burn ourselves until we could adjust the temperature.

Great experience just one little thing
Great stay everything was wonderful except the house keeper knocking on each door around 9am asking everyone what time they were checking out. I was confused since checkout was at 12 m. Luckily I was up but my neighbor was not. Definitely will stay again though. If you do stay, place the do not disturb sign out immediately.

The Westin was very clean and comfortable!! The staff was super friendly and helpful!! It was a short walk to the metro and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We love the fact that it also has a restaurant onsite that we used when the weather was bad and we didn't feel like going out.

IT WAS OK.
THE FRONT DESK WAS INPATIENT WITH ME LOCATING MY ID. MY TV DIDNT WORK IN THE ROOM, BUT SOMEONE CAME TO FIX IT. ROOM SERVICE CAME TO CLEAN THE ROOM. I DECLINED SERVICE BUT THEY STILL HAD TO COME INTO MY ROOM AND "CHECK IN" ON MY PHONE. I WISH THEY STAYED OUT OF MY ROOM DURING MY STAY.

Had a great stay. Staff was attentive and courteous. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Love that check out is at noon. Be aware of the $40 charged for valet parking. It’s not included in the hotel booking charge.

Friendly and quick check in Charlotte was very helpful. Room was clean had view of roof to nearby building refrigerator did not work. Water pressure and rain shower were great. Housekeeping was amazing and helpful. On final night restaurant closed early without notification. Had to go out in search of food after a long day. The breakfast at the restaurant was tasty and the staff were great.

The hotel was clean, staff members were courteous and it was in a convenient location. The free shuttle was an extremely convenient way of traveling to the harbor and taking water taxis to other local sites. The restaurant has excellent dining options and reasonable prices. One draw back is the $40 per night cost to valet park…that is a steep per night added cost. Overall, I highly recommend this property and will be staying here when I am back in town.

Nice hotel but...
Very nice hotel, but the Mobile Key advertised never worked, despite repeated attempts by hotel pesonnel to get it to work. Also, since valet parking was $40, the main desk recommended parking garages nearby, but only one was open on the weekend. Street parking nearby was all two hours only even on Saturday. Also, be aware that even though this is called estin Old Town Alexandria, it is NOT in Old Town. It is a good 30 minute walk to Old Town from the hotel. They do have a free shuttle service but you might have to wait 10-20 minutes depending on demand.

Great location. Fantastic and accommodating front desk staff!! The outside and the lobby were so well-kept and modern.
The room just wasn’t. They added a waterfall/handheld shower-head, that didn’t belong in a tub shower - so water went everywhere, at first.
I think it’s fine, if you just need to be in that location but, the rooms are nothing special.

Nice location -- a short walk to King Street and Waterfront, only a 1.5 mile walk to Waterfront, But, if you can't walk, they have an excellent shuttle service that takes you anywhere within 2 miles (which the Waterfront fits). Staff for the most part, were very good. Except, two instances. I asked for a cab pick up, then went back to confirm it was done the next day. It was not. If I had not checked on it, I would have had no cab in the early morning hours to the airport. The other item. I advised them that my room air conditioning was not working. The room temp remained at 80 degrees. I asked at the front desk for it to be looked at when I was in meetings. Came back after 5 PM, and it was not fixed. Since I was leaving the next day, I did not bother to call. But, when I told the person at the front desk of the issue, he did not really appear to be concerned that I had to sleep in 80 degree room. I really go no sense of an apology or sorry for the inconvenience.

Great location for conference-goers
Very comfortable and convenient hotel for business travel. Elevator connections are super-efficient for getting you back and forth to your room from the conference area during breaks. Conference facilities were very good. Close to Metro and Amtrak connections and to National Airport (Ronald Reagan).

Everything looked beautiful, but when I hit under the covers the bed smelled of urine.
I called downstairs to tell them. It was 12:30 and I moved to the other bed as we were exhausted after traveling many hours. The second bed smelled clean.
I was met with disbelief at night— I said they could come and give it the sniff test— and in the morning. Very disappointing.

Westin Old Town A++
We were delayed on a flight from DCA and had to stay the night and what a treat to stay at a Westin for n Old Town Alexandria. The woman who checked us in was so compassionate and the waitstaff at Landmark were awesome and fed us even thought the kitchen was about to close. We are very grateful.

The free tansportation shuttle was excellent. Could use a lounge area near the bar rather than just high top tables. The room & restaurant restrooms were a little worn. The tv channels don't work. Nothing special. Definitely overpriced.

The disrespectful floor staff
Everything was fine until the front of the hotel the people working the floor. I had my dog and I was going to have breakfast that was courtesy of the hotel. I was disrespectfully told to wait outside the restaurant in the lobby where the server told me I have to have a service dog note, though you are Pet Friendly? She lied, for I got my complementary breakfast coupon and proceeded to try to eat breakfast. I was then told to present my comfort animal paperwork. This is before 7a.m. The manager excused her from work. Upon check out the valet staff rudely interrupted me when I was trying to explain to just watch my stuff while I go get my valet ticket and dog. Overall your direct hotel staff was great. Your floor needs work

This was my third visit at the Westin Old Town Alexandria and each time the staff was incredibly professional. As a senior, the employees was so helpful as I needed help with my luggage. The Valet parking team is just as professional as the Westin staff. Strongly recommend this location for vacation

Almost perfect but not quite
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is extremely kind, friendly and attentive. Our bed was amazing and the weighed comforter felt so good. We slept like babies. My only issue was, at first we went to a room where the lounge chair looked very dirty and had visible wet stains. It grossed me out so I asked for a room change which Clayton handled extremely fast and even came upstairs to escort us to the new room. When we got there, it was clean (no chair stains) however, the reservation was for two but this room had one robe and one towel. So I had to call for a second towel. Other than that, check in and check out were a breeze.

The only thing we didn't like is the breakfast choices. In the nearby Panera Bread the choices and the pricing were much better)))
What we loved is their shuttle bus service which could deliver you at any place within Alexandria, and pick up you any where in Alexandria, when you are ready to come to the hotel

Stay was amazing.
Found a spider in the bed right upon arrival as we were doing bed checks.
Let the front desk know and the move is to another room immediately.
All the staff there were extremely nice and friendly even the manager.

The hotel was clean and quiet, which was very welcomed. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We dined at the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast and found the food to be only "okay" for the prices charged and would not recommend dining there. However, the drinks we had from the bar were good.

The property is located directly across from the beautiful Alexandria courthouse. It's a quiet neighborhood and the hotel itself it nice. Room was clean, has a nice lobby bar and the staff is remarkable. Intern Dana (from the Netherlands) made sure that my visit was great. Housekeeping was thorough. The manager Ravi was real nice hotel ambassador. He made sure that everything was to my liking and offered to assist me with transportation. Excellent hotel stay at the Westin Alexandria, VA. Looking forward to my next trip there.

Upon arrival, I checked into the hotel with no issues. However, once I checked in, I was scheduled for a conference which delayed me from inspecting the cleanliness of my room. Later that evening, I returned to the Westin hotel, where I noticed hair on the ceiling, on the bathroom walls near the mirror, and inside the bathroom shower. I contacted the front desk but did not get an answer. The following morning, “Saturday,” I contacted the front desk again in an attempt to address the issue and request towels. I did not receive a response. I left my room between 7:30 and 7:45 am. As I left the hotel, I figured I would bring the cleanliness of my room to the hotel's attention, followed by my towel request. However, the staff was not present. I returned to the hotel later that evening, where I was able to request towels and address the cleanliness of the room, which was done both at the front desk and via phone from the room. I waited over 30 minutes for housekeeping to arrive. Unfortunately, they never came and I had a meeting to attend. Exiting the hotel for a third time on Saturday, I reminded the front desk of my requests, where the receptionist stated she would put the request in again. I arrived back at the hotel around 11:00 pm and 11:30 pm, where I indeed received towels. However, the towels were not clean, nor was my room.

Check In confustion
Check in was a mess. I reserved 2 rooms through Hotels.com and only 1 was found. It took over an hour to figure out Hotels.com put each room under a different name. I only received one confirmation number in email with a note "you are all set". The email CLEARLY noted "2" rooms on the reservation/confirmation. I'm not sure if this is a Hotels or Westin issue but needs to be figured out.

Overall the hotel itself was excellent, the only down side is parking. Metered street parking and the hotel only offers Vallet parking which is quite expensive when staying multiple days at the hotel.

We had a great experience at this hotel! The front desk staff were all very accommodating and friendly.
