The staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful!! They were so kind, so available, and willing to accommodate. The rooms have everything you could possibly need. I travel for my job and staying a lot of hotels. This is hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. If I'm ever in this area again I will definitely stay here! Management knows what they're doing at this hotel. Any hotel can learn a lot from this one.

Great place
Great hotel. We just stayed overnight on our way home. The room was more than we expected. This was our first stay at a Candlewood but it definitely will not be our last.

Love this Hotel!
What a wonderful stay we had at Candlewood Suites! At affordable price. Friendly host, helpful in many ways. Room was clean fresh, full of all the things you would want.Laundry is free for guest, just what I needed! Close to shopping and many places to eat. We will be staying here again on our way thru next year but will be looking for more of these hotels as we travel.

Home away from home
All the comforts of home while away. I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel multiple times. If it were a little more affordable, I’d stay here every time I’m in the area.

Our room was clean, updated and pleasant. My only issue was the refrigerator made a annoying noise every time it came on. We only needed a room but being able to make coffee was nice.

Charged me for smoking when I didn’t smoke. Also allowed other guests to come in our room while we were there. Make sure you stop at the front desk every time you come back in because your room key won’t work. Staff was very rude. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free

Clean, big. Full kitchen with cabinets, dishes, cook top, microwave, toaster, full-size fridge. Reasonable price and better room than the room I had in another IHG hotel on Long Island that cost a whole lot more.

Nice hotel - serves it's purposes!
One night stopover traveling north. This was a quick stay, but was perfect for what we needed. The front desk staff was very nice and the room we reserved was clean and spacious. We would stay again and recommend to other travelers.

Front desk clerk was VERY friendly and efficient. Beds were very comfortable and the entire facility was exceptionally clean.
A simple complimentary breakfast selection and a light blanket in the rooms would be welcome additions. Thank you.

Nice Place!
This Candlewood Suites is lovely. SO clean and updated. Bed and pillows were VERY comfortable.
My only complaint would be being put in a room w/2 double beds when I booked a king, then only to be told they're sold out of king bed rooms. I still don't know how that is since *I* purchased one months before. But we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge, so there's that.

Absolutely the best hotel for an overnight stay half way between New York and the Carolinas. Great kitchen and the TV was situated perfectly for the bed, the desk AND the bathroom! Huge desk too. This is now my permanent stopping point for this trip which I repeat often.

Great property, very nice rooms and amenities. Wonderful staff! The beds are very comfortable and the showers have great pressure and lots of hot water! Lots of shops and delicious restaurants nearby! My go-to spot for traveling with kids and pets!

Jennifer at the front desk was so nice and welcoming. She had our rooms ready as soon as we arrived. The beds and pillows were wonderful, rooms were quiet, and we slept well. Our dog Leo, who has anxiety issues, was very comfortable, and used the pet area outside with no problems at all. We stayed here last Christmas as well, and will continue to do so on our trips home to visit family!

We had the room right next to the front desk/lobby. We kept getting woken up starting at 4:00 am with vacuuming in the hallways and the rooms next to us. The staff was very loud and we did not get much sleep due to the shouting back and forth.

The staff were all very friendly. Check-in was fast, but not rushed. We really felt that our dog was just as welcome as we were. The room was spacious and we love having the full-size fridge; the cooktop was a bonus. The kitchen pantry was a nice size and the bathroom had plenty of shelves. We come to Winchester from Georgia as often as possible to visit family, and we’ve already booked our next stay here for Christmas.

Would Stay Again!
Perfect place to stay when your car breaks down on a freak 92-degree day in May on your way from Philly to Charlotte. It was great to have a kitchenette so I could cook meals "at home". You can also wash your clothes for free! And there are snacks available for purchase & DVDs you can borrow. Overall this place is great.

Smelly rooms
Check-in was easy. They called ahead and upgraded one of our rooms due to so many bookings. We were on a girl's trip so we had 2 rooms on either end of the hall. Both rooms were comfortable and clean but both STUNK like stale cigarette smoke. So much for a non-smoking hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at Candlewood Suites. Our room was very pleasant and the bed was the best we’ve had in a long time. Your staff was the best. Very friendly and very accommodating. The only thing that I didn’t like was after being there for a week, the rates went up considerably for the weekend. It just seems to me, if you have invested that much money, rates shouldn’t go up just because of a weekend.

Quick stay
This was a quick 9-10 hour stay. Front desk agent was excellent i even got an upgrade. However even with the upgrade wasn’t a great stay. Tv in bedroom had no cable signal and didn’t work. Took a Luke warm to cold ish shower upon arrival. Great room otherwise, especially if you want to cook food as the full kitchen is a super plus.

Satisfactory for a one night stay or more. Great beds, clean linens, quiet.Guests did not clean their dog mess around the property, there were no doggie bags available outside. PLEASE clean up after your dogs as a courtesy to othrrs.

I booked a studio room with a king size bed. when I arrived they started that they upgraded me to a suite for no extra charge. I didn’t think anything of it. when my husband and I got to the room we looked and the bed and questioned the bed size. they called us about an hour after checking in to see everything was okay. I asked about the bed being a king size, to which I was told they didn’t have the original room I booked that’s why they upgraded our room. my husband and I like our space when we are sleeping so we always get a king size bed and that’s what we have at home. so it definitely was hard to sleep.

This was our second stay at this Candlewood in Winchester. It is a great location and quite comfortable. However, having no smoking rooms, I was surprised at the frequent smell of smoke in the hall and in our room.

The front desk receptionist was very courteous and helpful. The room looked nice, but had a strong odor, like painted over smoke. Perhaps the room had been a prior smoking one? It was somewhat clean, but the dark floors in kitchen area were sticky and after wiping them, saw they hadn’t been cleaned properly. It would’ve been a much more pleasant stay had the room not been smelly. I tried diffusers and leaving

We picked this hotel because of the kitchen in the room. Covid 19 makes it a hard time to travel and wanted to have a space to be comfortable in and make our own food. The person that checked us in was wearing a mask, BUT no one else was!! When we entered the room I began to wipe it down with clorox (covid). That's when I noticed how dirty it was. Food on the desk, hair all over, razor blade on the window sill, mold in the coffee maker, a chunk of broken glass stuck in the wall, gum stuck on the floor and it goes on. Probably should have changed rooms, but I had already cleaned most of it and the thought of a new room and the unmasked people in the lobby was overwhelming. The plumbing in the bathroom was leaky and the kitchen was Not stocked with dish soap or a sponge. We spoke to the desk person when checking out, she asked for our number so the manager could call. She has not called. We will never stay here again.

Clean room. Loved having the kitchen to prepare breakfast and keep my ice packs frozen for use each day, and to keep drinks cold. Spacious room layout and very welcoming. Friendly, helpful people at the front desk. Location was easy to get to points of travel. Loved having free use of the laundry area. Plan to stay here again.

Room was dirty they didn’t change the sheets when told about it the front desk woman lied said she watched them change the sheets. An they took out almost $400.00 then they should have do not recommend them to anyone in fact if I don’t get my money back I will sue there ass.

The hotel was clean, obviously recently updated and the staff was very friendly. The hotel had a terrible odor to it. Our room smelled of burnt food, old smoke and potpourri. It was nauseating. Family members also stayed in the hotel and there room also smelled.

Hotel is in a great location. Near Mall, major highway and restaurants. Got to our room and you can tell they have made some recent updates. We found our sheets w/ a few stains and returned to front desk. We changed the sheets and assumed they would be replaced in the morning. WRONG! We returned to our room the following afternoon and found our room unserviced. Wasn’t informed at checkin that we weren’t going to get our rooms serviced because the hotel was like an “extended stay” hotel. That was told to me by the manager. Called hotels.com and got a refund. If I had known this wouldn’t have been a problem. This hotel also has a weird smell.

Parking was a challenge due to the service contractors doing work in the area and staying at the hotel. Several trucks had trailers which again limited parking. Room was fine and the beds are comfortable. The hallway smelled like someone’s pet and been heavy sprayed with air freshener. Service at check in and out was good. Very friendly... I love pets but not a fan of pet food and water at the front entrance door.
