Hotel is used for the military. There are 4 washers and driers for free. Soap is sold. Small store with drinks/snacks. Customer service is great. Our room smells funky. Not sure if it's just from all the humidity here. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Close to the Post Office.

Short Weekend with Family
I was extremely excited when I saw that the room was truly ADA. The room has everything you need for any length of stay and it was clean. Our issue is that the shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall on both sides which allowed water from the shower to get all over the floor. We had to use all of our towels to keep the water cleaned up for our safety. I reported it to the front. Lets hope it gets repaired.

The refrigerator had an icemaker that did not have the water line connected, so it made loud noises every hour on the hour. Kind of our own big ben.

Arrived, check in was great! Checked in room 201 stay away from this floor!! German Brown roaches infestation! These bugs are not scared of the light! Crawled on my arm! Asked the front desk to move me rooms at 10pm. Moved me to the 4th floor. Room was ok no bugs but smelled like smoke. I was ok with smell due to no bugs in this room.

The separate bedroom.concept.is nice but there was no ac in that room. A floor fan was pointed at the vent in the wall to push air through from where the ac unit was. Something was splattered all over the walls and floor of the bathroom. Glad it was only one night.

I live in Melbourne and booked and paid for 2 rooms on Sunday, Jan. 1 and two rooms on Friday, Jan. 6th as we were all going on a cruise together.
I thought there was a breakfast of some sort in the mornings??? There was nothing.
When we got off the cruise ship on Friday I called to see if they could check in early since they had all their luggage and no place to go and had stayed there the Sunday night before. The girl that answered said they "did not offer early check in" I said "is 4:00 the best you can do?" she said "yup and I don't make the rules I just enforce them" those were her exact words.
I would not have any friends or relatives visiting here in the Melbourne Area stay there again.
Also on Sunday night the police were called for some sort of domestic disturbence in the parking area so it was very noisy.

The hotel is newly renovated. The coffee in the lobby was excellent! The room was clean. Chantel, the receptionist, was friendly and helpful, as was all the staff.

First time at a Candlewood. Very clean. Smelled good. Night staff was very pleasant. Surrounding grounds were less than inviting. No pool. No breakfast which was disappointing for the price paid ($200 ). Room was pretty cool. Small studio w/ kitchen, double beds, nice bathroom. Overall we were quite pleased.

I realize staff shortages are an issue, however no cleaning services available, and the elevator was the slowest ever experienced. It would be held on floors by staff making it even slower. Not pleased at all with the facility.

The staff was amazing, Ana at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Great persona. Camille in housekeeping. Wonderful, pleasant, helpful and always smiling. Not fake smile, genuine. These two made it so we will be back for our 3rd stay there. Its our go to place. Could use even a small breakfast, maybe a pool, pool not essential since short pop to the beach but would be convenient. Everyone was so nice. Loved our stay.

Great, no frills place
Great staff and room. No housekeeping, but everything was clean when i got there so not an issue. Stayed for a week, and they have garbage cans at the end of each floor, so you just walk down and dump it. The staff at the front desk gave me everything i asked for(towels, garbage bags, coffee cups). Great backyard area with grills and covered common area. Met some cool folks there, but usually vacant. If you are working on Patrick, you cant beat it. Trust me, I tried a few other places in the area before I settled here. Will definitely stay here again, if I need to

Overall this should have been a great hotel. The room layout was very nice with a kitchenette. Great bathroom. Wonderful shower. Pretty minimal on the little extras they give you but the was shampoo, conditioner and body awash bottles mounted in the shower. The problem was that the a/c unit apparently was leaking so the room smelled like mildew mold and the carpet between the a/c and the bed was soaking wet. I stayed for two nights. The morning after my first night I reported the leak, I had to work a 12 hour shift so I gave them permission to go in to work on it. The checked on it, ordered a repair which could not be done immediately due to the weekend. And turned the a/c temp down. When I got in after my shift the room was so humid, carpet worse than that a/m. I called the desk and asked why they didn’t do anything and was told that it was a Saturday so they couldn’t get it repaired. The biggest disappointment here was no offer to swap rooms, no discount. Nothing that really showed that they cared.

Horrible experience
There were roaches crawling on the bed and all over the room. At first it was one small one and then we went out and came back late at night complained but was too late to move to another room. The manager was very rude and accused us of lying about the roaches although we saved one as Perot. Her words were” do you know how many people have said that” which means it’s an ongoing problem.
Although house keeping told us they were coming to clean our room. They did not, when we asked the manager her excuse was they don’t speak English which I found in poor taste. Also the room did not have the proper towels

My dad stayed who was handicapped and he stayed in an amazing handicapped access room that was extremely well equipped for his needs. In addition it was spotless and the staff was "over the top" and went above and beyond.

I was pretty disappointed.
We found several pieces of breakfast cereal on the floor in the living room area, indicating that the floor had not been vacuumed very well or not at all.
Housekeepers had their phones on speaker while working. One call I heard mentioned a correctional facility. Not the best thing for a guest to hear.
We could smell marijuana in the hallway multiple nights.
We were there during the "Grand Reopening." A bunch of people were blocking the parking lot and wouldn't move. Several looked at us multiple times and still didn't move. They made us wait until they were done taking their pictures. I even waved at one lady who kept looking back at us and she immediately turned away.

There were bbq grills on the property...never seen that before. And there was a picnic area on the property in the back. The only thing I didn't like was the door to the room. It was sticking badly. Hard to open and close. Had to kick the bottom of the door to get it to open. Other then that, I would stay here again. It was a very nice hotel with very nice rooms.

Staff was amazing, very friendly. Place was very clean. Very comfortable. Only issue was that a pool would be nice, had a toilet issue, staff took care of it pronto. My bad issue is its a smoke free facility, yet idiots feel entitled to smoke skunk but and stink an entire floor. Staff can only do so much. All n all, i will stay again, one of the much better places to stay at a great price, location, access.

I did not specify a non-smoking room and the room I was given was apparently a non-smoking room on a smoking FLOOR! When I got off the elevator I gagged. The room smelled worse!!!!!!! I went to the agent on duty and he was VERY apologetic. I was given another room on another floor and there was only a pleasant smell on the floor and in the room. Just make sure you let them know if you want non-smoking room or floor. They will accommadate.

The hotel is under renovation. Which is fine, but staying so close to the military base and all we could smell was marijuana in the halls and even in the room. It was a non smoking room. The smell was horrible. I was very disappointed. That should not be allowed.

Very comfortable room
The staff here is very friendly and attentive. Darrin deserves special recognition. He told us about all the amenities available for us to use like free laundry facilities, noon check out and a nice work out facility. The rooms are spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room, lobby and grounds were clean and inviting. We will stay here the next time we are in the area.

Apparently from talking with other guests every room is in some state of renovation. Half of the floor we were on is blocked off with plastic (well, it’s supposed to be but the plastic is blowing) and most of the rooms surrounding ours are being painted. Our sink water was only coming out hot but this morning it was cool for a while. Sprinklers are wrapped in painters tape. Hallway floors are filthy and nails/screws are laying everywhere. We’re tracking that filth into our room. Not good conditions for allergy sufferers. Definitely wouldn’t have picked this hotel if I had realized it’s still so early in the remodeling stage.
They meed to remodel one floor at a time, them put guests in the remodeled areas, not in the construction zone.

We picked this because of location of what we needed, that was about all that was good. The counter top had a huge crack (like broken in half), there was a cigarette burn in the drapes even though it states no smoking and last but not least the chemical smells from the cleaning products were so strong My mom could not sleep. Thank goodness we were only there a night.

Good Location for what I needed
The room was set up nicely with a kitchen, queen bed and decent sized bathroom. The refrigerator was full sized which was nice, but also noisy like a vacuum cleaner which was disorienting at first but you get used to it. The hotel is pet friendly so if you don’t like barking dogs, you will have to move rooms. Pet rooms are identified by a magnetic sign on the door. My room must have had a pet recently because it smelled like a dog and there was frayed carpet in the middle of the room. The rooms were expensive but I needed to stay in the area and I heard beachside hotels are much worse. Wi-Fi was just average but good enough to do some remote working. Front desk staff are nice. On my 2nd night someone had keys to my room and was trying to get in. Apparently they thought my room was empty. That is the first time that happened to me.

candlewood suites is a great place to stay. period. everything good you want you got and the price is just right.and the location for us was perfect. they dont have a restaurant but thats no problem there are plenty of places nearby or if you want to do your cooking just do it in the room.everything is there for you and very clean.

We will stay there again but since we drive we will be sure to take our own pillows. The ones provided were lumpy. Also there was absolutely no counter space in the bathroom which can be inconvenient.
