Stay anywhere but here
Big fat roach greeted us when we opened our room door. Chased it around and found piles of old food and dirt under all furniture and behind the fridge in addition to and old towel full of old roaches. Plenty of white powder maybe roach poison. Bar next door is insanely loud until 2 am. No cleaning crew or custodian on the premises at night,

Hotel had tons of trash in the parking lots. The room was "visibly" clean but the room was disgusting. There were a lot of random people hanging out in the parking lots. Overall the beach access was the nicest accommodation. The room felt dirty and there were stains on the sheets. Nothing appeared to be cleaned in the room. Located right next to a bar in which we saw people using the bathroom next to the building. Very loud and felt unsafe. Would not recommend this place.

Total craphole. Apparently rent rooms by the week and the usuals hang outside in the parking lot like it's their lawn. Do not recommend at all.

We were there for a wedding and they accommodated an early (2 hr) check-in. Great location especially considering the price of other hotels nearby.
The shower could have been scrubbed cleaner.
The coffee shop across the street, "Lynnhaven Coffee" , had wonderful coffees, teas and breakfast sandwiches.

Terrible dirty disappointing
The experience was very bad first starting with how dirty the room still was when we got there at first the both room smelled like mold it had big cockroaches greeting us when weâre in the front of the door a used condom and trash were under the bed the tv did not work when we stayed the whole stay I just wish I had gotten another room

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the toilet seat was loose, water pressure was very low, when we first walked in the room it had a mildew smell and the swimming pool was unusable. Glad we spent most of our time at my brother in laws. Not worth the money they charge

Overall feel of the property was "rundown". Location is great, rooms are the standard motel/hotel vibe with the huge AC units sticking out under each poorly closed window. Room looked more modern than i was expecting, killed a wolf spider half the size of my fist in the first 30 seconds in the room. Beds were comfy and neat looking, one comforter had a cigarette burn and the other had a fingernail UNDER the sheets... trash under and behind both beds. Updated shower was a nice touch, wont be going back.

The hotel was filthy. The bathroom door had a large whole in it and a handprint of dirt. The shower head was broken and the floor was sandy. The location was great, close to several nice restaurants. The add was definitely misleading.

I spent some time here while transitioning with my family. The staff is amazing and considerate. There have been upgrades to the rooms and showers and you get a good deal for your money. The cleaning could be a bit better, mainly the floors (no carpet praise God) and the AC units need to be upgraded next but other than that itâs okay. As a bit of a germaphobe I treat it like any other hotel in a post Covid world and spray and wipe everything down. Just recommend you make sure you bring a pair or slippers/slides/flip flops/crocs.

Our first room we stayed in the breaker tripped from the bathroom and we had to move rooms. The second room we were in there was an outlet that had no cover, and there was live wires exposed. They moved us again. The third room was fine, a little dirty, but it was good The next morning we had a maid come to the door at 8 AM banging on the door. When I answered the door, she started demanding that I give back the towel and the pillow that I took from the room prior. I gave her the pillow, but I told her I was going to keep the towel because we only had two towels in the room. She said I couldnât do that because the room needed the towels when I told her I wasnât going to give them back to her. She proceeded to bang on the door again and demanded that I give her the towels. When I told her no again, she banged on the door one more time so I told her I was going to call the front desk, She said she did not care. I ignored her in about two minutes later she started yelling. Why are you people so ignorant. I went to the front desk to complain about her, and she said she was going to talk to the main name Becca, this was the most rude staff I had ever talk to in any hotel I have ever say at.

IT WAS INFESTED WITH ROACHES! I saw 14 in a couple hours of being there. They were crawling on my feet. The manager would not refund me or give me another room and there were many rooms available. I had to leave and pay for another place. Travelocity would not refund me or find another place for me. Such a bad experience.

I booked a room for one night when my Air B&B rental had frozen water pipes. I was very pleased with the easy booking process, cleanliness, convenience of location/parking and the hotel front desk service. They allowed an early check in and were very courteous. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the bathroom appeared to be recently updated. The nightly rate is very reasonable and I recommend this hotel highly.

Dirty room, comfy beds.
This was by far the worst hotel stay Iâve stayed in. Iâm usually not the one to complain but this stay was the exception. Once we checked in and walked into our room there were two HUGE dead cockroaches just laying in plain sight on the floor and there were also crushed leaves in the entry area as well. I immediately called the front desk (using my cell because there wasnât even a phone in that room for whatever reason) and asked if they could send someone to clean the room again. The front desk said there wasnât anyone there anymore as they already did their rounds in the morning and left. There was NO WAY this room was cleaned since all this mess was right when you walk in. We then went into another room and as soon as I walked in there was empty chocolate candy wrappers on the floor by the bed. Other than that I thought this was the better choice so we agreed to stay in the new room. When I went to take a shower I could tell that this room wasnât clean at all. There were all types of hair left on the walls as well as dried up soap stains. The shower floor was clogged and was flooding during the entire shower and took forever to drain.
The only good thing about this hotel was the bed and pillows were very comfortable (Iâm not sure if the sheets were clean since everything else wasnât but it was comfy). I forgot to take photos of the first room because I was so disgusted and wanted to get out asap.

Go elsewhere! The building is old and poorly built. Couldn't sleep from all the road noise. I noticed windows are only single pane glass, so very noisy. Could also hear all noises from adjoining rooms. Especially the loud TV left on in a completely vacant room. I had to call the desk at 1:00 to get it turned off. Mattress was awful. Several cockroaches and other bugs. No toilet paper in the room. We only slept a total of a couple hours due to the road noise, loud TV playing and horrible mattress. A/C seemed very loud as well. Ăheckin woman was nice. Checkout man didn't say a word to me. Never asked how was our stay. And it was a handicap accessible room, but there was no way a wheelchair could fit between the bed and the desk. Door wouldn't open enough to get through. I would have been furious if I were handicapped.

Good low-cost option right by the quiet bay beach
Just a block from the bay beach down a nice path, and there's a great coffee shop and some restaurants across the street. Definitely not fancy but my room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was strong. A couple of others in my group got rooms where the floor was a little grubby/sandy (occupational hazard for a beach hotel!), but the floors are laminate and the manager took care of it immediately.

This motel was the dirtiest motel Iâve ever stayed in. THANK GOD it was only used for a quick sleep. So much dirt on floors you can tell it hasnât been swept, condom wrapper behind bed, sheets INSIDE OUT, blood stains in bathroom and bugs. DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL A DIME OF YOUR MONEY

When you are offered amenities and they are not there for your stay especially with the high rates it is disheartening. The pool looked like it had been closed for years. The bathroom was upgraded but not taken care of, brown grunge on the tiles and shower trim could have been easily removed but is left there for some reason. The sealant around the soap dish had black mold growing around it but could have been easily taken care of with a squirt of bleach. I am not a clean freak but if you have obvious signs of filth what else is lurking that you cannot see?

The facility was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower excellent. There was no closet and no room to maneuver in the room. It was totally acceptable for us since all we did there was sleep and bathe. We spent the rest of our time with our family in another location. I can't imagine staying there more than overnight in any other situation.

Please do not waste your money with this disgustin
First off, I didnât end up staying in this abysmal motel. When I drove up and saw no cars in the parking lot I had a bad feeling. Checked in and went to my room. When I went to open the door it was already open. Lights were on and it was absolutely disgusting. It was dirty, the smell was of old dirty feet and the bed was crunchy. Called the front desk and the receptionist offered me another room. Walked in and was a bit better. Once I started to unpack I noticed filthy spots around the toilet and the shower had soap scum all over the shower door. Dirt and debris in every corner. I had to leave and find another hotel that ended up costing me double the amount. I did not feel safe at all at the motel as a single traveler. Tried to call the rest of the night to tell the receptionist I left and no one answered the phone nor ability to leave a message. Complete and udder dissatisfaction.

OK place for a short stay, but the room lacks basic things such as a mirror where one could use to shave, brush teeth or do other bathroom related activities. The wifi was very slow or not functional at times, I had to resort to hot spotting from my cellphone to my iPad to get somewhat working internet. I mean we live in the 21st century is it too much to ask to get a proper working internet at a 3 star hotel? Finally the tv in the room was cable only, didnât have smartTv like features where one could watch Netflix, Prime or YouTube, I mean who watches cable TV these days? Thatâs my fair assessment for this place, itâs nothing too fancy but you do pay a bit of a price for it.

Bathroom was a nightmare! Mold along all the seams of the shower insert, shower didn't work and the face of the shower head was rusty. 2 foot long part of the wall and ceiling above shower head was falling down

I arrived at 7:10pm after driving over 9 hours and there was a note on the door âOffice will re-open at 7:45pm. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank youâ. I decided to go eat somewhere so I returned to the lobby around 9:15. No one was there with no sign of returning. I sat and waited for about 5 minutes and someone finally came through the front door. Very disappointed. And the room was not clean.

Nice weekend stay
My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding and stayed for two nights. We had kind of low expectations after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was (except for some sandy floors, but it is a beach town!) The front desk staff was also super friendly and welcoming, so we were happy overall.

The property is extremely poorly staffed so they cannot possibly keep up on cleanliness. Although the staff were nice, they need to contact their upper management and demand more employees before continuing to rent rooms. They were very dirty. We had to switch rooms twice, one due to cleanliness and one due to the electronic lock breaking and not being able to get into the room. The beach within walking distance is nice and quiet though.

Mold in shower, room smelled funnyâŚlike it used to be a smoking roomâŚ. The bed frame doesnât fit the bed and was sticking out and hit my knee which is how I discovered it. Roaches outside (none in room), ants in room though. Wouldnât have stayed here if I had seen it first and wasnât sure about getting a refund since I had booked through hotels.com

Nice motel located on the Bay about 10 minute drive to the boardwalk area. 1 block walk to the beach. The bay beach was shallow and calm for swimming and relating. The rooms were recently renovated so they are in excellent condition. No pool but the beach is a short walk. There a few food options nearby and 7 11 is across the street. Would definitely recommend and would go back in the future
