This is a pretty new location and it is all very clean . Breakfast was nice with a lady making sure it was all clean. The coffee is great- Lavazza so good flavor. The amenities were also good.. will return on our visit south again. Always looking for something like this.

Clean, new hotel with modern decor. Breakfast was ok, but disappointing for this class of hotel, and noise level from the nearby highway and thin walls was surprisingly high. Staff was not especially helpful. Won't be staying here again-- will choose the adjacent Marriott instead.

This hotel is close to restaurants and downtown Staunton and is clean. The mattresses on both Queen beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. There are no closets and two lights had burned out bulbs. A lot of noise from the floor above our room. A decent place but we found it too uncomfortable and a bit noisy. There were several good locations in the room to charge iPhone and laptops.

I really like this new brand!
I really love these new "Tru by Hilton" hotels - the brand is new, and the decor/room configuration is distinctive, so they're all recently renovated, with all-new fixtures. Very comfortable. They don't have a lot of extra frills, but they have everything you need for an overnight stay on a road trip. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Creepy night
Had trouble with my confirmation number took me a 1/2 to get checked in. The room was nice and clean but I was given an adjoining room couldn’t sleep was scary little creepy. I should have complained but I just left at the break of dawn.

Great hotel, super clean, fantastic staff, comfortable and new. Even the breakfast was good. The only negative was the lack of water pressure in the shower. And the fact that I booked on Expedia for $99 with the ‘pay at the property’ option and was billed $170 at the property.

I can't say enough about the property. From the staff to the property, my family couldn't have asked for anything more. I've already told about 10 families that frequent the Staunton area that they must make this property their only destination. Leah at the front desk provided the best service, and I hope Hilton is paying her well. I don't give kudos lightly, as I have worked in the quality customer experience industry for over 16 years. Again, great service and experience, I'd give this property 10 stars, if it was an option.

Exceeded expectations
Exceeded our expectations. Just needed a place to sleep half way to Pigeon Forge and got a good rate here. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The main lobby was bright, had lots of seating, the rooms were very clean and extremely spacious. My family enjoyed the breakfast and the lobby games. We would stay again if we head down this way again!

Mixed level of service from front desk staff
The rooms were clean and modern. However, the service by staff was mixed.
There was a discrepancy between my booked rate vs amount I was getting charged when we checked in. Megan, the front desk lady who checked us in was rude, unfriendly and overall lacked customer service skills. She was unapologetic about the issue and had an outright 'no' as response instead of trying to resolve the issue. She was so annoyed to help that she was even throwing our card keys to me after checking each room.
The gentleman who was on graveyard shift (11pm - 7am) after her shift was a complete opposite. He had excellent customer service skills, explained what he will do and when, and was able to resolve my issue quickly. They should hire more of this gentleman and not the other lady.

Great short getaway. Clean and quiet.
Amazing stay. Very quiet. Darlene at check-in made us feel very welcome. Later she was able to quickly resolve a minor issue. My son and I loved the exercise room and the perfect video set-up to explain how to use the equipment safely. The hygiene measures were also very good.

Great night stay!
Although the bed was a littlw hard for me and my family, the rooms and hotel were spotless and clean, and the check in was fast! The hotel worker at check in was so friendly and nice. Awesome selection of snacks along with a good little variety of a continental breakfast!

Fantastic Weekend
We had an amazing stay there over the weekend and everything was great! All of the staff was very friendly especially the girl at the desk in the evening. The whole place was very clean and well taken care of. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area again!

A clean, bare bones room. No closets, chairs, dresser; This is fine. However, there is no coffee maker or microwave. Rooms facing the hwy and main road are very noisy as are the doors as they close. Pet fee is on the high end. Location as far as access to hwy, fuel, and food is great. Staff was very friendly.

We previously stayed at Tru, the staff went above and beyond. We had reqistered for a night, but due to our car having issued we had to turn around, and get a rental. I called to see if we could change our reservation to the next day, and with out even a second thought the staff got us set up for a room.. This trip we had no problems getting to our destination, and as like the first visit, we had a very nice stay at Tru...

Come on by to a home away from home.
We came to Virginia to visit our daughter for Thanksgiving and needed a place to stay. We chose to stay at the Tru hotel because we stayed there previously and will stay there again real fancy, but it gets the job done -- it is comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly and nice. Even though covid is still lingering, we felt safe staying at the hotel. We got checked in and out without a wait.

A good stay
The hotel is only three years old and very refreshing. It has a perky little vibe to it with foos ball in the lobby. An ice machine was there too with plastic buckets.
The room was compact for two people, but very efficient. The soap dispensers, shampoo etc. in the bathroom, were attached to the walls and this is a much better idea than those tiny little bottles. They work by squeezing them. The shower was spotless and someone had taken care with cleaning it. The bedroom had a little table with rolling wheels that fitted under the table attached to the wall, and this was good for eating etc. My only complaint was that there was only one chair. A second person had to sit on the bed to watch tv, and in the corner by the window there would have been room for a second small chair. I noticed that bigger rooms only had one chair too.
There is some noise from the interstate below, but not detrimental to sleep. The breakfast was really nice with little omelettes and salsa you could take, along with items that were not all calorie laden.

The hotel is perfectly adequate. Rooms are scaled down furnishing wise due to Covid. Cozy they are not. Could hear room doors opening and closing throughout the night and traffic from a nearby interstate. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly. Cost was a bit steep.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were delighted that the manager had even gone so far as to provide plastic gloves (the food service kind) for people to use in the breakfast area while serving themselves. Everything was very clean and it was clear the management was committed to service and guest safety.
The property is brand new and the style is very modern/european - loved it! The rooms were stylish with a big window, a huge TV, and comfy bed. It was just right for an overnight stay on our road trip to take our daughter to her dorm move-in.

Enjoy friendly service and clean hotel
This was my first experience staying at a Tru hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, the staff was so nice and professional. During my trip I stayed in 3 different hotels. This one was by far the best. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay at a Tru hotel again.

Property was nice and the staff was great. Everything was clean. The free coffee in the morning was great considering the 4:30 am wake up call in the form of the dumpster being emptied right outside the room. It might be a good idea to have the waste management company come when it’s outside of quiet time, so the guests can actually sleep.

Upon arrival I discovered a cheaper price (Expedia did refund the difference after hours of phone calls). On top of my frustration in over paying upon arrival I had to wait in line for 30 minutes to check in when I had already pre paid. The young girl at the counter was nice, but she had a line out the door and no one else to help. Everyone in front of me had no reservations. It was only 7pm. I expected more customer service.
Once in the room it was clean, but the walls are thin. Until 10:30pm the people below were super loud! Once we finally all fell asleep we were woken up at 11:30pm to people getting into their room across the hall. I understand getting in late, but there was no end to the noise. Kids crying all night and a German shepherd “support” dog barking all night!
I complained to the front desk and she told me sometimes people sneak dogs in or they may be a support dog.
After a restless night I go down to breakfast. I appreciated the cleanliness, but there was almost no food out at 9am. I asked if there were more eggs and was told breakfast was almost over (at 10am).
Overall it was a clean hotel, but I expected more customer service for the price!
Bottom line, I wouldn’t stay here if you’re hoping to get any rest or expecting any kind of real customer service or service recovery.

The hotel was great and we enjoyed staying there up until we found two fraudulent transactions on our credit card from the hotel. Our card company found irregular activity and locked the card before we knew anything about it. Upon investigation, there were three charges on our card, and inly one was ours.

We loved the modern and simplistic look to the property. Heather was extremely helpful and polite when we arrived. Colee was also polite when I asked for some extra toilet paper and laundry bag. Breakfast was available and it while we didn't use the games/gym, they were a very nice addition.

Too modern. TV initially did not work. Hard to change channels, Room small. Had to request to have room freshened up 2nd day. No coffee maker in room. Had to go to lobby to obtain coffee. Very inconvenient. Phone did not work in one room. Only 1 ice machine in lobby. Tv controller difficult to use.

This was one of the best trip ever. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was plesant. Room was small but VERY CLEAN. Decor was modern and very cheerful. Nice outdoor sittinv area. Lots of parking and good restaurants near by. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
