Hotel was so bad, we ended up not staying
The room smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. The bathroom light was flickering. The tv did not work and when we called down to the front desk the employees were not helpful. I was told there was no maintenance available and there was no way to switch rooms. I asked for a refund and had to get another hotel room for a lot more because it was a last minute change on a Saturday night.

Good hotel with a few issues.
I like this hotel. There's stuff nearby and it's close to my car's auto shop. I've stayed there 3 or 4 times. My only complaint is ants. My first stay I had a ground floor room and they came in through the wall for some food trash from dinner the night before. My last trip I had to switch rooms cause they were coming out of the sink drain. Also for some reason none of my key cards would let me in the side door by the elevator. Everyone else's key worked but not mine. Not any of the 4 I had for the 2 rooms. I feel like their card readers are old. And the elevator is the slowest ever made. Also the WiFi is slow as hell. Less than 3Mb/s. You can barely watch anything streaming on your laptop or youtube or Netflix. But everyone is nice, there's coffee until noon, and the front desk girl who checked me in around 2pm January 2 was very nice and very very cute.

It was nice. The only complaint I have was the bathtub there was hair in the tub and it was plugged up. The water took forever to go down after 1 shower.

Mixed feelings
Room was perfect, Olivia in your housekeeping staff was fabulous helping me by loaning me a laundry cart for my luggage because I waited for an hour looking for a luggage cart… Elevator wasn’t working at one end of the building, ice making had no ice.

Very nice hotel and i loved the customer service the ladies was very nice and helpful since i was coming from aniyher hotel with very rude customer service. The only complain i have is that the staff for maintenance don't clean the rooms good. I found items that might of belonged to thr previous people and there was dust and urine stains in yhr bathroom.

Could of been better
Check in was ok, and the front looked ok, but as you get to the elevator, the place is really beat up and ran down. Trash everywhere, dented doors and broke handles, elevator is scary, it works, but it doesn't like to. The peep holes in the door are even scratched. Got told the pool and hot tub were not working. This was one of the reasons we picked this place, the pics were amazing if the pool.... other is it is cat friendly, so that was awesome! There was some trash left in the room, such as candy wrappers, and the temperature control buttons were dirty. The tub, when you stand in it, the floor feels bubbled underneath the floor. You can hear everybody in their rooms from the hall. But the room itself was quiet. The worst was our room 704 had a ringing like alarm sound. The front desk said they didn't hear anything when i called and complained, but didn't come in the room to hear it. He did offer a different room on the 5th floor, but i didn't want to deal with any other issues that a new room might have, And after a 12 hour drive, on too tired to even try and move rooms.
Staff was friendly and nice, area is clean and quiet, so, it was ok, but i would not stay there again. I'm trying to add pictures. But it is not letting me

Excellent Value!
My husband & I stayed for 2 nights with our 2 Dachshunds in a nice, clean, spacious room with a king size bed, and s small refrigerator & microwave oven. The room also had a larger desk/table with a desk chair & side chair, as well as a large club chair. It was nicely decorated, and the bed linens & towels were very nice fore a moderately priced hotel. Our room overlooked the pool, which looked very clean & inviting, & the property also featured a nice fitness room with a variety of equipment. The ‘free’ breakfast featured a buffet comprising hot pre-made eggs & sausages (which were ok), make-your-own waffles, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, a variety of cold cereal & juices, tea, & very good coffee. The property’s common areas were very clean & comfortable inside & out, & the facility provided doggie poo bags & special receptacles near areas suitable for walking our pups. The hotel is located near a major freeway, but was very quiet, & in an area with other nicer hotels & apartments, which made it feel safe to us. In all, we think this property is an excellent value & definitely plan to stay there again!

The hand towel had dried old blood, the bed as soon as I uncovered it. There was still hair. Ladies hair and maybe pubic hair. The hallways carpet looks like had some stains or spot snd you can really smell the animals eg. cats pee or litter. The receptionist gave us sheets. We had to change the linen our own. They were short staff.

It’s alright
Good price, good service, and excellent breakfast. Only thing is the kind of folks that hang around the place. It’s across from the Mesa PD so that’s a plus but had to call the police cause there was a couple next door fighting each other really bad. Other than that, everything else if one. Close to restaurants and the freeway.

First we checked in the bathroom was full of paint dust and dry wall. Then we got moved rooms and the keys didn’t work. Then we moved rooms again and the elevator broke. Luckily my 6 year old daughter and pregnant wife had just got out before it got stuck. Needless to say we canceled our reservation and left.

Room covers had hairs and stains. Front desk allowed guests or possibly non guests to hang out in the parking lot drinking yelling and playing music full volume past midnight hours and did absolutely nothing about it when contacted. I left immediately the next day, I am there to rest not to have people partying right outside the parking lot and my window. That is unacceptable and unprofessional! Do not stay here if you want a relaxing and restful night.

Horrible place!! The bed was full of hair, beer tops and garbage on floor, and dust everywhere like it's never been cleaned. We couldn't even stay there. Still waiting to be refunded but have yet to see it. A Big thumbs down on this place. We should have turned around right when we seen graffiti in the elevator.

The air conditioner controls did not work, it was on full blast or unplug it to turn it off. First time I unplugged it, box and all came out of the wall. It was obvious this problem had been going on a while. The second problem was that after a long day of walking we wanted to relax in the hot tub, NOPE, it was cold and barely bubbled, and was occupied by 10 boys about 10 years old. Last we were there when a track meet was happening and all those teens seemed to be on our floor, the noise was a bit much, but I turned on white noise every night so we could get to sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would give a much higher rating, but the facility was full of middle and high school athletes. These guests were loud, running up and down the hallway and knocked on our door as late as 11pm. No coach or adult chaperone on the floor. I was offered a room change but declined as we were leaving in the AM and unfortunately that is when it got worse than the first night. Need some strict rules for these young guest groups to include an adult on the floor and a curfew as well as letting other guests on that floor know about this.
It is located to many eateries.

Room for improvement
Arrived around 12:30am and the young man that was at front desk was very quiet and lacked experience with customer care. After driving 6 hrs a nice greeting upon arrival or how are you would have been helpful. Instead got a cold quiet shoulder it felts like.
The bed was comfortable however could hear loud kids two nights in a row in hallways talking with loud voices and running around with doors slamming. Think it was a large group of kids. Thankfully that wasn't an all night thing but when it's 10pm it was frustrating.
They have Dove products for body and hair care which was helpful.
Their breakfast was alright but not much of a selection compared to other hotels. Waffles and sausage along with toast and yogurt.
Would we stay there again, likely not.

This hotel is in major disrepair
This hotel is falling apart, the elevator broke down frequently and we were on the 7th floor so taking the stairs was a lot with my baby. The hot tub was ice cold, and the staff would randomly lock the pool gate so you couldn’t get in. The front desk was in manned often, and when someone was there they were not helpful. Breakfast was bad, no fruit selection and what was there was just not good. Wallpaper peeling throughout and holes in the wall it just was not what we were expecting….

Frankly, I didn’t like anything about this property until I left and it was in my rearview mirror. The continental breakfast was garbage. I have very limited options and dried up, shriveled sausage. The eggs were fake, and the waffles were trash. Customer service was nowhere to be found. They didn’t seem to really care that we needed help. The hotel is old and rundown and filthy. There were rust stains in my tub. The window track was nasty and the carpet – you didn’t wanna walk out it with your bare feet. To be honest, this is one of the worst days I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another La Quinta.

The facility was okay. My room was ready on time and in good order. I am not a messy person. Arrived last Wednesday and left Saturday. Not once did anyone attempt to take the trash or bring fresh towels. As far as the breakfast went there was no coffee at 7:30. Very poor service. Family came in on Thursday late afternoon and stood for close to 40 minutes and still couldn't get checked in. We were told they were full and busy. Not great customer service. If they really looked at how many arrivals were due they should have had another person to help. I will never stay there again. I felt bad for the poor lady behind the ocunter.

Just an okay stay,
Room was clean and comfortable, however both my lady and myself will have both worked in hotels for years took note that not a single employee speaks to you if you say good morning or anything else they do not reply front desk no please or thank you just give me your card and your ID, does not make or break a trip however it is nice to have someone speak to you and have a smile instead of feeling like you're cattle especially when prices are what they are nowadays for a room,

This was located about 20 minutes from Mesa where the tournament we were attending was located, so it turned out to be a great option as far as location for the price paid. We have stayed at La Quinta locations before and we have been satisfied with the accommodations. Price and location. Thank you.

Very disappointing
What a huge disappointment. I am reliving how uncomfortable I was as I type. Even before I got to the hotel the service was lacking. I called to ask about their early check-in policy since I was in town earlier than expected. The person was rude, confused and unhelpful. When we checked in, it just got worse. The elevator was dirty and extremely slow.
The room was not clean. There was actual chips on the floor of the room (visible) from entry. On our way out for lunch with my family I tried to speak to someone at the desk. No one came, just the phone continously ringing. When we got back l, again, no one there.
The next morning my mother and I went down to get coffee at 630am. There was a family checking out from the day before. Their reason "we can't stay here. It's disgusting. We want a refund so we can stay at a more appropriate establishment"
We also stopped by to let them know our room was not cleaned when we checked in. The woman behind the counter said "so they need to vacuum?" I responded the room needs to be cleaned. So we gathered our things and left for the day. When we got back. Nothing was done. I went back down to the front desk and ANOTHER woman's response was "weird". This was after waiting 15 minutes to talk to her due to the fact a couple was being moved to their THIRD room in two days. Reasons were broken tub, broken chairs, one room smelled terribly.
I will never stay there again. The room was never cleaned and the food was there until we checked out

Sheets had dirt and hair on them, had to request a change when we got there. Not very clean overall in the room. Bathroom door missing knob, no hair dryer. Had to call twice to get one, and waited over 30 minutes. Stayed here again on the same trip, second room not very clean and had no refridgerator. Common areas not clean, like elevator and hallways. Very run down hotel, and still not cheap! Staff at desk were ok, one was more friendly than others. Same breakfast choices all 5 mornings.

I enjoyed my stay. Some of the building was outdated, but not a big deal. The biggest issue was the elevator which was terribly slow. Besides that great stay. There's a gal who works at the front desk (Lauren I think?) who has amazing customer service and people skills! I would do whatever you can to keep her.

I was never able to check in with the Expedia reservation. Had to cancel and rebook on the property. Upon entering the room it smelled like sewer, the bathroom had an unbearable smell. The trash was not taken out. The air conditioner was noisy. The door didn’t seal properly all around so the light would shine through. Would not stay here again.

La Quinta was a nice play to stay 10 years ago, which appears to be the era they're stuck in. The rooms smelled like smoke. The hallways smelled like marijuana. It just overall felt dirty. I was so uncomfortable, I booked another room someplace else, and just left. The television was small, the ironing board opened easy enough, but would not close. There were people hanging out in the parking lot near the rear entrance, that was propped open with a large rock. The lady at the front desk failed to tell me the door was exit only, after telling me I could park around back, because that door was closest to the elevator. Luckily the rock was there. Horrible experience.

The carpets in the hallway are so stained and dirty. The elevator has graffiti on it and not working correctly. Desk clerk had to reset it. Only 1 elevator working. Had to ask housekeeper to go clean the bed skirt because there was food on it. If the town wasn’t sold out I would have not stayed.

The staff at this location are very friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately, only one elevator was in service and it was incredibly slow. Anytime I needed to use it (I couldn’t use the stairs because I have a baby and she was in a stroller often) it would take so long to reach whatever floor I was waiting on. There doesn’t seem to be any air conditioning in the hallways which made waiting for the elevator worse. Additionally, some issue must have occurred in room 313 because the door seemed to have been ripped from the door frame and it was covered with a black plastic trash bag and a curtain. Not really a good look.

We enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was nice, except for the bathroom door knob was broken. The doors are shutter type doors-no lock. We advised that one of the knobs was broken and told someone would be up to fix it. As of the time we left and we were there 7 days, it had not been fixed. One of the days we left our room and came back we found our room had not had room service. Everything was exactly as we left it. Checked with the desk and someone had marked on their list the room had been cleaned even though it had not. It was reported to the housekeeping manager and the next morning she promptly came up to exchange the iron board that wouldn't stay open and up with another one and to take a look at the room. After that we had no complaints about the room service. Other than those few things, our stay was very nice and we would stay there again.

Young lady at check in was wonderful. Hotel very run down. One elevator out one needing to be reset there are 7 floors think this is a fire safety issue. People smoking so much pot that you couldn’t enjoy the pool. The inside by the elevator smells like pot. Another guest jumped in the pool fully clothed and clapped his hands together for 45 minutes not sure what he was smoking. Outer doors no longer lock so anyone can get in to hotel. Used to be a great place scary now.

The location of the La Quinta Mesa was great, close to everything. The hotel was definitley older and in need of some updates. Breakfast was minimal but satisfying. Staying at the La Quinta I felt safe. Lauren made checking in super easy after a long day of traveling.

Horrible sewage smell!!
Upon arrival the receptionist was assisting another guest that we overhead has had to change rooms multiple times due to cleanliness and functional issues ie sewage backup/shower dripping and Rusty/ AC didn’t work. Our hotel room and hall reeked of sewage and urine. The hotel as a whole was dirty with peeling wall paper and obvious damage throughout. The receptionist’s solution was to off us the room next door. Supposedly there were no rooms available in our “booking type”. We requested a refund and left.

Terrible Stay Equals Unhappy Customer
Arrived and got checked into a diety room. Had to wait until they found a clean one. None of the outlets wirked in the bathroom. Tried to make coffee and of course that was broken too. For the price I paid for the room did not match the service or the condition of the room/amenities. Very dissatisfied. When reported all this to front desk agent, her response was "Well I didnt check you on." THE WORST!!!

Really bad the bed sheets where dirty with stains. There was mold in the bath tub, behind the toilet was discussing not clean, there was no door handle, under the mattress there was food even the blanket on the bed was dirty and smelled like urine. I was really disappointed with the conditions of this room I will not be staying there ever again

Will not stay here again
I had made a reservation and when I got there, I had to wait two hours because they were short staffed. They gave me keys to one room and we couldn’t even open it. The lady at the front desk knew they had issues with that room because she told me herself so I told her why would you give me this room? So she switched me to another room. It didn’t have all the towels I needed but a few the people at the pool we’re making noise and it was 10 PM and the pool closes at 9:30 PM so I called the front desk to let them know and they stated people had already complained and that she was going to go tell them something. The breakfast in the morning was cold. The ice machine in the second floor was broken and I told the front desk and was supposed to fix it but never did. My dad and I had gone for the weekend to go watch the Dallas cowboys play against the Cardinals. At no point did anyone offer to give us a discount for waiting for a rooms or because of all the other issues, or even a complementary gift card for dinner somewhere around there.

We always stay here and we like this property, the only problem we had is that we paid extra to reserve a suite for two nights and the first night they put us in a regular room with two beds instead of a king bed. But the next day they moved us to the suite, the front desk staff was real helpful.

The stay was quiet. The breakfast was not enjoyable. The eggs were apparently heated in the microwave in the form of ommlets and were awful. The sausage was awful also. I’m diabetic and couldn,t enjoy the pancakes . The only thing I enjoyed was the apple juice. No orange juice. The room/bed was comfortable. I’m EMR and drove in after a full day of work. The recliner was nice. I was exhausted after a 13 hour day of high speed driving leaving the house 15 minutes for a 300 mile drive after work.

It could have been better the guy at the front desk was rude and our neighbors were noisy I called the front desk to say something about it and they didn't do anything about it. My husband and I we're woken up by our neighbors so I went downstairs to say something about it again and the lady apologized for it and said if I hear them again to call the front desk and she'll call them to ask them to keep it quiet. And today was bull I delt with a actual Karen who did like how I was handling my dog and decided to video me and then called the cops on me city people I swear we're from a small town and that never happens. I don't think I'll stay here ever again

The overall stay was nice. The rooms were great and the staff was friendly. The elevator system does need quite a bit of work as They were in rough shape and very slow. The stairs at times were quicker. The pool area was nice,but needs better maintained in the gazebo area. Only 1 light bulb worked on the strand of lights and the ceiling fan didnt work at all.

Got put in the wrong room that wasn't what I booked. The night clerk was horrible and rude. The room was broken and missing things. Last night of our stay we got a new room which was what we originally should have and was much better but even then the door handle was broken. The ONLY good thing about the property was the manager. She is TOP NOTCH and deserves a reward for having to deal with such a dump. Whole place reeks of weed. Pool was disgusting and WAY over chlorinated. DO NOT go outside alone at night. You WILL be accosted in one way or another. Will NEVER stay here again. Not even if it was free.

The elevator to the south of the building got us stuck. we where in the elavator and told the employee and did notheing
