The Hotel has gone down hill, run down. Sofa had holes in itDirty walls and bathroom door doesn’t close. We had same room as last year and things weren’t fixed. Next year we will chose a better hotel

I visit the Tampa area often and this is one of my favorite places to stay. Clean, friendly staff, convenient to restaurants and close to the highway to get around easily.

Room was clean and comfortable but the AC had hard time keeping room cool. Toilet in room had hard time flushing, Bathroom sink in room hard time draining. I got weird bites on my stomach while sleeping but I couldn’t find bed bugs when I stripped the bed. Staff seemed like they’d rather be somewhere else but friendly when you spoke to them. The front desk bathroom was dirty. First morning I was there and used bathroom there was something black in the toilet. It was still there the next morning so I know it hadn’t been cleaned. And the floors around the stale doors that connected to the floor was very dirty. Breakfast eggs tasted like fake eggs and were not edible. Coffee was cold. The grounds and exterior were beautiful and nice with plenty of parking. Convenient location to everything.

In the room where I stayed, the tub had a ring/stain in the tub of the outline of a liner that probably used to be there. This was very unattractive. There was also black stains on the vent that appeared like mold. As for the bed, the mattress was a bit too firm for me.

Decent hotel, pleasant stay
Decent hotel. Located near a lot of restaurants. Close to Tampa airport and Florida State Fairgrounds. Room was neat and clean although carpets look like they could use a good shampoo or replacement. Bathroom had plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. Pretty quiet building but you could hear flushing of toilets from room above and below. Breakfast was typical hotel fare of eggs, cereal, sausage, toast, waffles, yogurt, and bananas. Scrambled eggs were ok. Small but nice fitness center. Plenty of sidewalks in area if you want to jog. Lots of free parking. Friendly staff. I would definitely book again.

Front desk was pleasant enough. Room was clean. Bed was reasonably comfortable -- could have been better. Breakfast was just okay. Ran out of coffee.
My only complaint is the TV stations selection. No MSNBC. Just Faux Noise. Must be Florida. Glad it was just a 24-hour business trip.

Rooms nicely appointed and overall property clean. Elevator not particularly well maintained and faucet in my room was noticeably loose and should have been reported by housekeeping staff prior to my check-in. Breakfast options minimal and the breakfast room could be made a little more inviting

Like previous reviews the room did smell, we bought a candle and it helped. We stayed for two nights and they never cleaned the room!

Ok, not great.
Overall, the stay was ok. The chair and carpet in the room were stained and the door to the bathroom looked like it had some dry blood on it...which made me wonder what else that isn't so obvious isn't cleaned well. Also, the lobby, hallway to the room and the room all smelled like stale smoke. I had to sign a form that the room was No Smoking, so disappointed that I could smell stale smoke everywhere. The room looked renovated recently, but the elevator was a mess. Will all the choices in the area, I won't stay here again.

It was my first time in Tampa and i was going to Busch Gardens for the weekend. The hotel was great outside (loved the veterans parking spots) and the lobby area was clean. Front desk staff was great! Now my problems started when i got in the elevator. It was spray painted to cover what i thought was rust stains (needs an upgrade) The bed room was great! Clean carpet, clean sheets, great A/C. The bathroom was the opposite, the shower was dirty, the curtain had mold, the drains kept getting clogged in both the sink and shower, the maid only replaced our towels and made the bed didnt clean the sink at all. Now let’s talk about the guests there were about 10 fifteen year olds wreaking havoc at all hours of the night (slamming doors, screaming running) i didnt get any sleep whatever. I don’t think I’ll be staying anytime soon at this hotel. Sorry it’s unfortunate.

Nice property in a safe area. It is close to the highway so did get some noise from that but nothing that kept me awake during the night. It is close to dining options, a mall, and movie theatre and very close to the highway making it convenient to get to.

I hope they can improve, because it is very sad to come from far away, pay and have this unpleasant experience.
I won't go back to that place.

Good place to stay with a pet
The hotel is nicely appointed. Its pet policy is to be especially noted. $25 pet fee can’t be beat. Very accommodating for our dog.

I really enjoy this location I just had a couple concerns, the nightstands were left unwired and there was sticky stuff on them, I was located on the 4th floor and I am NOT. A smoker but all 3 evenings when I walked through the hall I smelled marijuana being smoked. It’s very unattractive and I know that is something the guest is doing but I have to mention it. The staff is great and is a majority very nice.

The place was t as clean as I thought they don’t check thinks like they suppose too the equipment in the room was very dirty ..the remotes dirty my door battery died so I couldn’t get into my room we kept running up an down thinking it’s the key but it’s the door the whole time .. place is not sanitary please don’t book

Everything was great until we ran into a 2 raccoon at the door. He was getting food out of the garbage can by the door they need a sign by the entrance no food in trash they have been in that trash can before and they was not small but other than that I will stay there again

Our room was very clean and the housekeeper was wonderful!! BUT… The washer was broken down, our heater wouldn’t turn off and ran 24/7. The noise from the Freeway next to hotel was so loud!! Last, the internet was awful!! Kept getting kicked off from it in the middle of work! Stayed here before and I am not planning on returning because of how down hill this motel as gone!

I took my brand new adopted pup (weighing in at 55lbs and 5yrs old) and the staff was just so inviting and petted my gurrl! I was pretty exhausted when I got there, leaving my laptop in the lobby after checking in. When I called the front desk everyone was extremely professional and kind. My stay was quiet, restful, and I appreciated everyone being so professional.

Needs a complete makeover
The Motel itself is in really a run down shape. It needs a good pressure washing outside & the grounds are in need of up keep. The halls seem to have new carpet, the elevator is in need of a complete makeover, so are the rooms, the water pressure is weak the tubs are stained really bad, we had two rooms. Over all it is very rundown. All of the staff we seen was very friendly & accommodating.

1. No electric vehicle charging facilities on property.
2. Dust on the lampshades in the common areas and hallways
3. lobby area carpet where they serve the breakfast in the mornings needs shampooing very badly.
4. exterior of building needs power washing moss everywhere.
5. The reclining chair in our room was broken and could not be used.
6. only surface areas in the room are cleaned. This room needed a heavy deep cleaning.
overall, the room was just OK. The property was just OK if I had to recommend La Quinta I would not be recommending this property.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly. This is the second time we stayed here and no complaints. Wi-fi was strong. Breakfast was ok. They had a waffle maker, scrammbled eggs, sausage lonks, yogurt, sliced toast, oatmeal, ceral, milk? Oj and coffee. Would stay again if in that area. It's a no smoking hotel and no one was even smoking near the property. The pool and hot tub are clean. The exercise room could use some updating but there were two treadmill and two bikes.

Everyone we came across that worked there was so friendly. From the check in, the ladies cleaning the rooms, the maintenance guy, etc. It was also very clean! We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed my stay - the check-in and check-out was a breeze. The parking was rather easy - it's tucked away off on a side road and it was a pleasant experience- the hotel was clean no issues - the only issue I'd like to note is the remote control for the television gave a bit of trouble changing channels but nothing out of the ordinary and if we had the time we would of reached out to the front desk. Breakfast was delicious and quite filling as well. Definitely try the waffles.

Room was clean and nice there was a dead roach upon arrival and an odd odor the entire time. Complimentary hot breakfast was nice. Staff for the most part was also good. A little tlc to some of the outer area doors especially look like they could cave in at any moment

Everything was clean, breakfast was really good and all in a convenient location. However, the only downside we ran into with kids was that their pool closes at sunset due to pool lighting compliance. Outside of that staff was friendly and everything was okay for our weekend tournament stay.

Overpriced for what you get
Hotel needs major updates. There was mold in the bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was so bland. The muffins and waffles was about the only half way decent thing.

The lady at the front desk was amazing and fully accommodated my needs! The property is cleaned but you can see smear marks on everything. There was half a beer in our closet. There were dead bugs and dust in the window (which was very noisy, and did not lock) The doors opened automatically when we got there, day and night (no key required and no one in the lobby) the doors from the pool say they are locked and they were not. Aside from that I could smell weed and smoke almost constantly while at the hotel. (Maybe just through the unsealed window?)

My hotel stay at La Quinta was a pretty good stay. The room was nice and for the most part was quiet. The only issue I had was that walking in to the back entrance where our room was the hallway had a strong odor of marijuana and my room ended being right next to the highway which I know is out of my control, but it was very hard to sleep. Other then that my stay was pleasant.

The place had no working hot water, the bathroom faucet was broken, and the door lock would take forever to open. When I wne to check out and tell the people at the front desk there was no one there. I waited and no one came. They had a small cup for key returns and thats all we got for a check out.

It is obvious some recent updates had been made and I think some may still be coming. Our room was very pleasant, well e1uipped and up to date with electric and electronic elements. Carpet was clean and the bathroom had nice Dove body wash and shampoo. Even the coffee maker was super clean, updated and actually made a decent cup of java! Check--in was super fast and efficient and we felt welcomed. It is a nice location near mall, many restaurants and easy access off I-4 via I 75. We'll remember to use you again when we visit the Tampa Bay area!

It is crazy me and my husband was staying there and we are quite happy people that don’t mess with no one and they put us out for nothing how can you say suspicious activity if there is no camera and you are going by here say anything jealous, family members calling and they put us out
