Unfortunately we didn’t get the room I had booked, king size room with complimentary breakfast, not offered at the Courtyard.
The clerk was very helpful and moved us over to the adjacent building under same management, Residence Inn.
The suite we got had a king size bed and a complimentary breakfast.
We were very happy with Marriott Residence Inn. The pool and hot tub was nice and shared with the Courtyard. Would definitely stay here again.
Expedia should be aware that what is offered on the app, has the wrong information about Mariott Courtyard.

There was 2 ladies in the Bistro one super nice and the other was not so nice. The first encounter I thought maybe she is having a bad day but three different occasions was 2 too many for me. I am pretty sure they will know which one I am talking about. I did not complain at the hotel. The rest of the staff was fantastic.

Not a well-maintained property and still very old fashioned. No gold elite benefits, digital key and they ran out of bottled water almost every evening. Poor experience overall.

They don’t offer the advertised room on hotels.com
The Hotel was great but they don’t even offer the room I reserved on Hotels.com. I reserved a king bed with a sofa bed. They don’t have that combination of room and I needed 2 separate beds. They were able to scramble and bring in a roll away bed but I did end up getting charged $10 for it that the Hotels.com representative I spoke said I wouldn’t be charged for. But overall the hotel was really nice and they staff were all very friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again!!!

Very secluded location. Quiet. Very clean rooms with the amenities they supply are convenient for use. Did not get chance to check out the bistro bar or swimming pool. Overall very enjoyable stay.

Front desk checkin was GREAT! Vaughn made us feel actually welcome after a tough day getting here.
The room was a little small (walk carefully in the dark to preserve your toes!) and the bed was just ok--not uncomfortable but not wonderful. Staff has all been great.

This hotel is in a very quiet location not far from the I 17 freeway. The hotel is located a short distance from Enterprise car rental. The hotel is also on the edge of Phoenix's public transit services. This makes it convenient to drive or to catch a bus and travel to most areas of the city.
The rooms are clean and modern without being overly fancy for casual travelling.
Clean, quiet, secure rooms are the most important aspects of getting a hotel room in my opinion.
One item that was unique is the the large screen tv was not facing the bed, but rather a couch. This allows for viewing without having to sit or lie on the bed.
I didn't stay long enough to have time use the pool, so I cannot comment on the pool area.

Not My Kind of Place
After checking in at the front desk I entered the elevator and accessed the second floor and immediately noticed the smell of marijuana in the air, when I entered the room, I called the front desk and asked if smoking is allowed in the rooms and the lady said no so, I mentioned the strong smell and her reply was it is legal in Phoenix for recreational use, I then reminded her smoking is not allowed in the rooms according to what you stated, her reply was "Well I will get someone to look into it". every time I left my room to go it the smell was stronger and stronger than before. Elevator flooring was peeling up and needed repairs, inside the stairs trash had been left behind, construction craftmanship was poor within the stairs. I expected more from Marriott.

The only critique I have is that the bistro closes at 9am and doesnt open til 5. I had morning calls that ended at 9 and wasnt able to get anything but grabn go for the rest of the day. Maybe 10am would be a little more guest friendly?

The room has a pullout couch with no back pillows. It was very uncomfortable to sit on. The couch looked like it was just thrown in the room. I’d didn’t fit at all. The tv was beside the bed which would have made it very awkward to watch. The curtain had multiple tears. The bathroom was nice but I didn’t feel like the room lived up to Marriott’s reputation.

Really liked the convenient location to so much shopping and also restaurants. Some areas of the rooms are looking warn, i.e. wall paper in bathrooms, carpet.

This is a nice place with good value. Good and beverage attached if you don’t want to go anywhere with a nice lobby/lounge. Close to the freeway but not right on it, so it’s quiet.

Had a night out as a couple. The hotel was perfect for our comfort. We were able to focus on us without worrying about issues with the hotel. The front desk clerk was inviting and polite. They informed us of the amenities the hotel provided.
The room was comfortable. We could tell that the room was a little dated and a little worn. But it offered all we needed. Nice bathroom with shower. Again a little worn. Every part of the room was clean and we had no worries about cleanliness. We would happily stay here again for couple night or any other reason.

nice room arrangement except the a/c
The room was comfortable; we liked the arrangements with a couch for us both to sit (as opposed to the usual single chair) and a table on wheels tucked under the desk. However, the a/c blew right on the bed and there is no way to adjust the angle of the fins - we set up the table next to the unit and hung clothes over the edge to redirect the air flow.

Great place, clean, staff amazing, nice pool and awesome location. Only minor dislike was the pool hours being 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. would be awesome. Had a great time, definitely going to stay there more for a weekend getaway.

Everything was great except for the kids running around and playing basketball outside until around 3 a.m. The basketball court and pool are supposed to be open from 9-9 but it was very loud listening to basketballs all night and into the morning. My kids asked for a basketball the next morning at 8:45 and were told they had to wait until 9 to get one so it seems to only be a rule for some and not others.

Prepaid $280 for ONE night at this place through Expedia. I didn’t even end up staying overnight. The next day I had THREE ADDITIONAL $250 charges by Marriott on top of the $280. This was the first & last time I will ever use this app or mariott. When will businesses be held accountable for blatant theft like this? And don’t think this is anything other than blatant theft.

Enjoyed our stay in Phoenix. The hotel location was perfect for all our activities, spring training, museums, and day trips.
