They allow pets for an additional fee, but both nights I could hear a dog barking in an adjacent room every time somebody walked down the hallway, including after 10 pm, and I had to be at work early. Commented to the desk clerks twice, one was dismissive, the other said she would call up to the room. The first night the noise was supplemented by a family with rowdy, noisy kids in the next room yelling at each other and whining. The "Free" breakfast was cheap and unremarkable, including tasteless bacon and those nasty powdered eggs made from who knows what. The older rickety elevators were making weird scary noises, glad I did not get trapped in one for the weekend. Other than that, the room itself was nice and the location was good, but it was not cheap either.

Dirty bathroom!
Bathroom a disgrace. Shower tile had mold and pretty wide spread. Tile in the entire bathroom was dirty and overhead light was burnt out.
They had given us a handicapped room which was not requested.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The property was dirty. There were stains on the couch and carpet. Everything was sticky and rusted, not at all up to date. There was a mildew smell in the rooms. They refused us check out when we had to find another hotel because of the conditions and continued to run our reservation even though we asked 3 times to check out and have refused our refund even when we left within 2 hours of checking in. 0/10 would NOT recommend to anyone.

Great stay
My stay was great. Customer service, cleanliness, amenities were all great. The only issue I had was the buzzing of the alarm clock. There was something wrong with it.

The bed in my room was hard, I was having an issue with my card key every time when I tried to enter the room. The clerk said something was wrong with the door handle that I would need to lift the handle while I was putting the card key in.

What we didn’t know was that the hotel was locked closed from 11pm to 6am. My husband had a long surgery and he was discharged from the hospital at 12:30am. We arrived back at the hotel to find the doors locked. Unfortunately the two exterior doors we found did not accept our room key. Here we are, two old people, one who could not walk and was in post surgery pain. It was too cold to stay in the car and too late to find another hotel. We drove around the parking lot looking for someone to help us. We then saw a third door that was propped open with a rock. Finally we were in bed at 1:30am. This could have ended badly. I contacted the chain head office who offered nothing, not even an apology.

It's getting shabby and the rooms are dark & dingy, but fairly clean. It was pretty noisy, and someone had a large dog that had a very large bark, which he/she used a lot.

For starters, orbitz claimed on the website that there was no pet fee. Upon checking in the hotel charged us a $75 pet fee. This was not expected. The rooms are in need of a complete remodel. Everything is outdated. I would expect a little more from a La Quinta hotel. I’ve stayed at really nice La Quintas before. Our particular room was not the cleanest. The bathroom cleanliness was questionable. The bathtub had a clogged drain so when we took a shower we were standing in 3 inches of water. The room had a musty odor and the air conditioner unit sounded like a jet engine. I will not be staying at this particular hotel again.

Dirty and run down. 2 outlets and the bathroom fan did not work. The queen beds sure felt more like full beds. Ran out of coffee both days we were there. Acoustic ceilings and stained carpet. Would not recommend

This place is in need a remodel. It’s decent but a remodel is much needed. The shower head was rusty. Around the toilet was rusty as well. The shower wouldn’t drain the water right away, by the time I got Out of the shower the water in the tub was above my ankles. The floor has red stains all over. Honestly such a nice location for the hotel to look like that. What a shame.

Disappointing stay
Not a great stay. Some of the room outlets did not work. Bathroom floor showed evidence of sink leak. Breakfast was below the La Quinta standard. Biscuits & Gravy was the hot selection, not the usual Hot egg dish and meat side. Overall a disappointment. Even the Hotels.com dates on the review are incorrect.

What I DIDNT like was I was blind sided with a 150.00 dollar deposit and 25 additional as well for pet 25.oo charge.i was never told this or seen this on your web site or Expedia which I booked it through..I have to go deposit money into my account to cover the deposit cause you don't take cash,then after all that I finally get up to my room tv don't work.. so instead of a different room giving me,they decided to get insttein and repair mine .unreal waste of time.

I’ve never had to pay fee for Incidentals up front 150. Dollars charged to my card and 5 days to get it back this is Highway robbery. If I would have known this up front before I booked the room I would have went somewhere else. La Quinta is making a lot of interest money . Never stay again

Has potential
The hotel is older and needs “a fresh coat of paint”. Had to request the shower drain be fixed and old food was left on the carpets. When talking with the front desk staff I was met with attitude.

I had some very noisy guests in the suite next door to me on my last night. I told the front desk and they briefly toned it down…but not for long. Had an early morning that next day so it was not fun to find little sleep.
Loved the breakfasts and the staff were all helpful…apart from that one incident.

Overall the hotel was fine.
The breakfast was enough.
The room we were initially given smelled terrible of smoke and/or stale cigarette butts. This is a fully non-smoking hotel. The gal at the desk offered spray or she could give us another room. I asked her to first come and check the room herself which she did, then got us a different room, and immediately made the 1st room unavailable.
The king bed was comfortable. The bathtub/shower was a bit slippery.
The location was easy to find, and convenient to stores, restaurants and main highways.

Hotel Needs Maintenance!

Hot tub was not hot- lukewarm. We stayed here before and liked it. But now it seems it has not been kept updated and done things are run down. Faucet was dripping in shower.

Decent Hotel with lots of local food choices
The property was clean and situated near lots of restaurants and shops. The cable TV was intermittent which was a little frustrating to watch and unwind after a long day.
The staff was super nice and friendly. Overall nice location and while it's a bit dated, my stay was good.

Overall the hotel was very clean.
The lobby area/breakfast area was very warm making it uncomfortable to eat at the lobby tables.

The desk clerk was great! For some reason my room card had issues, she recoded my room card like 3 times. I was very satisfied with her attentiveness to correct the issue. Although i did have to check out earky for work related issues, I will definitely be baxk again in the future.

Cheap owners who put your life at risk
Do not stay here if you value health and safety. It was 120 when we checked in (see picture). They had no water available except an old waterfountain and vending machine. They didn't even have water at breakfast and it was already 97 at 7am (see picture). The juice dispensor was also broken so coffe was the only beverage choice, bith days. No gym wipes in the gym. Worst of all...They padlocked the emergency exit doors. See the picture. If you are local and know how to report this, please do for the safety of all unknowing guests. Pool opens at 9am then the close it from 930-1030 for cleaning. Room said it slept 4 with a pull out sofa. It was a twin. What a joke.

Disappointed with LaQuinta
We had a flood in our house and couldn't stay due to the loud fans so I booked a King Suite that allowed our dog. The hotel in general is shabby. Our room was dirty and smelled. Under the bathroom sink the baseboards were caked in dirt and dust. The carpet desperately needs to be cleaned. The shower had no hotwater. The black out curtains had holes in them. The doors did not work, breakfast had no juice, only 12 sausage patties were brought out at a time, milk was not cold.

Very nice place to stay!
Our a/c went out at home and needed respite from the heat. Nice lady upon checkin. Room clean and fairly comfortable. Need to give us bottles of water upon checkin. Tap water tasted terrible. Still need to go have breakfast.

Excellent property! The only improvement would be breakfast seems as if items run out quickly, on my 1st day they ran out of coffee, 2nd day cream cheese and 3rd day waffle mix.

The hotel was not good and the lady was not helpful at all. I explained that was wife could not walk so well and if it was possible to have our rooms on the first floor. All she said was no and put us on the 3rd floor in the middle of the floor.We were getting connecting rooms and we had to wait until 4:30 pm to get our 2nd room. The shower was rusted and had no fan for exhaust, so we had to keep cleaning the mirror to use it. Also our room key would a couple of times and stop, so I had to walk around the hotel to get in and ask for them to fix the room key. this happened at least 3 times. So we were very disappointed with this visit.

Great service at front desk.
Pull out bed was a mess and broken- has to take the mattress out and sleep on the floor.
A clearly repaired drywall job in the shower had me laugh because they fixed the drywall but not the leak that caused the drywall.
All day and next morning a pile of towels left out in the hallway - gross

We were staying here just for one night. Pretty non eventful. Bed was very comfortable but bathroom felt very outdated, especially the floor. The carpet in the room was a bit disgusting but I'm sure it is a "pet" room since we had our cat as we were moving. Not sure how often they shampoo the carpets but i think it was due! Other than that, check in was easy.

Nice hotel. Check in was quick and easy. Room was located away from streets and noise. Room was comfortable and clean.
Location was good with shopping and restaurants within a short distance.

Decided on a mini staycation with the kiddos to celebrate the end of the school year. I’ll start with the room door. It doesn’t fully shut every time so before you walk away make sure you make sure it’s actually locked. The locks on the inside were shaky, if someone wanted to get in I think 1 firm push would do the job. Not safe, the lock on the bathroom door was a latch but the piece was broken off so you couldn’t lock it. The sink and tub held water and didn’t drain properly. Everything was outdated, for the area a person would think it would be updated but it isn’t. Breakfast was supposed to be from 7-9 but the breakfast person didn’t show up so there was no hot food, juice or coffee. Super disappointed with this whole experience. We left a night early. I was expecting better given the area but it was a dump.

Dirty and outdated
The hotel was disgusting and extremely outdated. I will never stay there again. The double doors in the bathroom looks as if they have not been cleaned in a long time. The carpet, baseboards and overall room was gross. The swimming pool was not clean as well as the lounge chairs. They just throw chemicals in the pool and leave all the debris on the bottom. It just felt dirty.

Great Hotel with a clean 90's vibe.
I've stayed at this location since 2014 and probably have well over 100 room nights here. The property is always clean,safe,halls vacuumed, and quiet. The property could use a facelift as it is dated however the maintenance team stays on top of paint, repairs, and any customer needs. The pool and hot tub are always spotless and in a very private gated Courtyard. I highly suggest this property for it's easy access, walkable location, and surrounding shopping and nightlife. We come to Phoenix frequently and this is one of our solid go-to properties.

The room was not ready in time so we had to sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes. We booked for our anniversary and put that in booking notes and got a room that faced the pool full of noise people most of the day and into the evening. The room was disgusting, hdmi cord for the tv was plugged into the wrong port, carpets filthy, our socks were black and the shower was nasty we didn’t even use it. Breakfast was terrible, we had to keep telling staff that they were out of things. The hotel is in desperate need of a manager on staff full time. The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I will be giving a bad review on yelp with the pictures that we took while in the room.

If it wasn't for the prime location next to the Mariners spring training facility, this place would rate close to a zero. Missing lightbulbs, half the outlets didn't work, the microwave, carpet, bathroom and most of the furnishings are probably original from the 80s. Very few updates anywhere, crappy 'breakfast,' but pool was decent and location great with plenty of options for eating, drinking and shopping. Fairly clean and nice staff!

Spring trip…
I’d you are going to spring training at Padres/Mariners complex it is a great location. Close to eateries, Costco, and bars. Morning bfast is made delightful a nice server helping out. Be sure to tip her. However, after staying at a few places I see a pattern of not servicing rooms. They request 24 hour notice to clean. And therefore, rates are higher with less overall service. I attribute that to hiring issues, but that should not cause increases in pricing.

The location for Padres or Mariners spring training baseball was terrific. There are many choices of restaurants nearby.
The property is in dire need of a refresh. The bathroom grout was badly stained and the baseboards and window frames were grimy. Maid service is on request which they didn’t mention at check in.

Sam working the front desk was Amazing! he was swamped with lots of guests coming after the ballgame to check in, on top of handling the phone ringing off the hook with service needs of Guests in rooms. He was absolutely the most calm and courteous to all the guests. I made a point of telling the desk the next AM and they said he was new! One of the best service providers i have ever had! You have a great employee!
