First time in Bristol
I loved my brief stay here. It was MLK weekend and the hotel was still decorated for the holidays and quite lovely. Very conveniently situated. Easy parking. Walkable to coffee, restaurants, shopping and the best record store, Cheap Thrills. Great rooftop bar. Lovely area in general. I look forward to my next trip.

Of the like 50 hotels I’ve stayed at in the past year, I’d say it was the most completely pleasant. From Amanda greeting me by my first name at the front desk, to the room being lit when I walked in, to the onsite restaurant where the offerings were excellent for both dinner and breakfast, like I said, it was simply plesant. It is also a place I would not hesitate to recommend to friends if they are traveling to Bristol.

Was very clean and rooms are comfortable. Loved the Roof Top wish we had time to go to the Lumac restaurant. Staff is so very friendly and helpful. Will be back.

The Bristol Hotel is a must experience!
The Bristol Hotel was one of the finest experiences we have had in many, many years. This was a time when the hotel was completely booked. From the moment we checked in with very knowledgeable and kind staff, we were treated as if we were the most important guest registered. The room was exemplary, from the impecable cleanliness to the visual aesthetics. It was a pleasure having such fresh towels and individual toiletries. our room was very quiet, even though the hotel was filled with guests. The restaurant also was of some of the highest quality. The menu was well designed and varied. The chef was very talented creating flavors that were unique and done to perfection. We had the trout and short ribs which were surprising as they did not have the usual flavors, but flavors that raised the experience to the nest level. We pass through Bristol often and we will plan to make The Bristol Hotel a special stop each and every time.

Fantastic roof top bar. Be sure to visit at sunset. Country music museum next door and our room key was our ticket, All the restaurants of State Street, not to mention the entire state of Tennessee a block away

"Grand Hotel," for the area, very nice but somewhat dark and dated. Did not see any casual / less expensive dining options when we arrived about 7 PM and did not feel safe walking through dimly lit and empty alley ways and streets according to the very general directions given to find alternative dining venues.

Wish the rooftop bar wasn't closed for a wedding on our anniversary, I should have checked. Pretty pricey for a hotel without a microwave and only (1) TV in a suite that is truly not divided by any means, all for $300 a night.

The Bristol Hotel was very close to State St. where most activities took place that we were interested in. The room was very clean and we had a nice view. The rooftop bar had even better views for a great sunset. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful room
Beautiful room. Excellent food for breakfast! Walking distance to state street. Museum entrance included. The only issue was our tv had no reception but it was late anyways. Overall a lovely stay!

So close to perfect. The onsite restaurant, Vivian's Table, was very good with excellent service. One of the elevators was out of service, there're only 2, for 24 hours. The housekeeping missed the mark. One day, they took the soaps even one we brought from home. Didn't replace the glasses one day. Ugh.

We loved our stay at The Bristol. It was beautiful. We had dinner on the roof top over looking the quaint city. The next morning, we had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The food and atmosphere were awesome in both.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was ready when we arrived and was spacious. The rooftop bar was a bonus and the view of the city was wonderful. it is close to all the neat things to do in the city.
We will stay there again when in the area.

Our overnight anniversary stay was awesome. Dinner at Vivian's was also excellent. The front desk sent us a bottle of wine and cookies to our room which was a great touch. Shannon, our server, in the restaurant was top notch.

Had a very nice relaxing time. Saturday night on rooftop, live band. They were an awesome band. Skyline was nice to view. Ate two nights in the restaurant, excellent both nights. Sunday night on rooftop was karaoke and dj. Also another nice night. Would and will definitely come back!!

Southern charm

We were so lucky to have found this beautiful place! Comfy beds, great pillows, room darkening shades, wonderful bathroom, great restaurant on the 1st floor, very cool roof top bar and also had a small gym on the 2nd floor. We had a problem with our van window and were able to find a nice local mechanic to fix it. Spent 2 nights !

The rooms are nicely appointed and definitely a great value for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the private guest party on the rooftop to watch Independence Day fireworks.
However, since our first stay 2 years ago, the area immediately surrounding the hotel seems to have become a homeless hangout; I would not feel safe going out alone after dark. Also, the rooms are getting dusty in the higher spots. My family is unusually tall so we can see the build up on light fixtures and trim.
Even with all that said, we will gladly stay there again and recommend the property to any who ask.

The Bristol Hotel was fantastic. Its always nice to stay in an older hotel you get some of the charms of yester year without sacrificing comfort. The lobby was magnificent. The staff were really helpful with the questions I had. There is no parking, only street parking, which there was plenty of but on a busier weekend or during the week I cant say.

The hotel is very nice. It’s impeccably clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable.
The only complaint is that I found staff to be unhelpful. I asked to use a cart to carry suitcases and such to the 5th floor. I was directed to an area and located the cart. This area was next to the desk where staff was sitting. My expectation was that he would get up and pull the cart out and then hold the door so I could maneuver through. I was disappointed that none of that happened even though I was the only one there. I didn’t have any other encounters so perhaps this was just one person who didn’t think to act.

Top notch, don't miss it
Excellent hotel. Furnishings, fixtures, bedding, mattress, shower were all high quality. Very clean. I liked the firm mattress and the fluffy pillows. I enjoyed watching dozens of geese and goslings parade down the street from my window. I stayed on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet. I had breakfast which was pricey but the food was top notch. The only drawback is the parking. It's curbside or in a lot across the street only (plenty of spots available). That would have been a deal breaker for me had I known. Still, I am glad that I stayed here and I will probably return. I also highly recommend the hotel to my coworkers in spite of the parking. Very modern feel.

Very nice hotel and room was very comfortable with good beddings, etc . Plenty of shops and resturants in the area. The parking was a little weird but it worked ok. We had are motorcycle and I am not fond of street parking or in the distances parking but the area turned out to be safe and we had no issue.

Great place but….
The say was great as the hotel is beautiful and very nice.
The restaurant has some great food but they’re very short handed on chef’s. I feel bad for them as they want to still cook the high end meals. I spoke to a few people there and they just can find help let alone GOOD help which is needed for a place like this.

The rooftop bar was fabulous. And the breakfast in the morning was also good. The hotel was extremely noisy due to a concert across the street. I had to change rooms because it was so loud and I could not sleep. All the guests on the street side of the hotel were complaining

Not only is the hotel itself beautiful & extremely clean but the staff is absolutely incredible! This was my very first time visiting but everything was perfect. As a solo world traveler, I must admit Bristol Hotel has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed and that means a lot after staying hundreds of nights in multiple countries. From the check in, staff, to the linen, view, amenities and everything until check out it was top notch. Thanks for having me! Dixie also loved her visit!!!

We stayed here for a half way stop and the staff was so friendly. They allowed us to come in at the late hour of 2am and even extended our checkout time from 11 to 12 to allow us to get an extra hour of sleep before our big drive!

Only stayed one night as we were passing through, but the room was very clean. The breakfast at hotel restaurant was great! Staff was very friendly.
