How bad can it get.
Toilet was ready to fall over from floor, didn't have a tank cover, Walls had stains on them, wall paper falling off, and temperature by windows was at least 15 degrees colder then the room so it kept the heater going and the room to warm, AND the breakfast is a joke, no coffee cups and old stale bread - don't advertise a breakfast and you won't get a bad review for it. I won't touch what they had out there, hell I won't let me dog eat it.

We had a 5am flight so just needed a place to sleep and shower the night before. This hotel was a cheap price for what we needed. It did the job.

Hotel was dirty. Need to clean rooms, common areas, and elevator. Bathroom was disgusting. Not enough outlets. Clock radio busted. Some lights out. Smoke detector wires coming out of a hole in the ceiling. Overall, disappointed with Wyndham...expected better

Not a great experience. Check in attendant was kind if rude. For jet didn’t work twice. Pool was out of order, has been for some time, and there do not appear to be plans to fix it. Room was mediocre, old, and in disrepair. Light fixture didn’t work, light fixtures that did work were filthy. No tenor for the tv, and the ones they brought up after we called to complain didn’t work either. Voice service was incomplete, and there’s just a big hole in the cabinet were the fridge is supposed to be. With so many choices in the area, go somewhere else.

hasn't been updated since it was built. the room was visibly dirty, toilet seat wasn't attached, broken tiles and dirty tiles in the washroom. turned down the sheets to go to bed - original mattresses, bedskirt, sheets and comforters were all stained

Filthy. Halls had stains all over. Looks like a dead body had been drug out of the way. Pool wasn’t open, had tables, hairs and other “crap” stored in there. Room 227 lights didn’t work. Wall plug was loose. Mold in the window sill. Tv was small and the remote didn’t work. Definitely would not recommend

Check-in required 3 tries for functioning keys, including getting a place that was already occupied.
The security card scanner at the north entrance was hanging off the wall.
The sheets of the room on the 3rd try were old and pilled.
What a dive.

I reached at 11pm and my card wasnt working to enter te house.
There was no one at the concierge for almost an hour and no one responded to the calls.
They were sleeping in their rooms(owned by the people who live in the same hotel)
Terrible service by them! Please book here only if you do not have an option elsewhere

No TV, so-so room, rude staff
I was very unhappy with the hotel. The room was so-so. There was no TV service. When I checked with the front desk, they said that they were switching to a different TV provider and some rooms were not completed. When asked if we could move to a different room, she said rudely "I'm done with rooms tonight. You cannot move."

The room was fine. The desk was propped up. Hallway carpet needs cleaning/replacement. My room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean.

Disappointed stay
The front desk was not manned in the morning. I put out a note to have more towels and toilet paper put in my room. Room number and name was on the note. Nothing was done. There was no refrigerator in the room. I needed one for the 3 days I was staying there. I will be staying in another hotel the next time I have to use a hotel in Fargo.

Upon arrival we were given a room with one full bed, we booked a room with 2 Queen beds. Toilet was running, we tried to fix it but the seal was completely deteriorated, with the countertop attached over the toilet top I am not sure the seal has ever been maintained or replaced. One bed and no toilet and tickets to a concert that is starting in 30 minutes. The front desk staff said there were no more rooms available due to water issues, they then tried to give us a room using a master key because the card access did not work. That room was filthy, bed unmade and garbage all over - my guess is someone was staying there from the staff or a friend of a staff member. I would not recommend staying here and was extremely disappointed in the entire process.

Hotel is really run down. Upon arrival we were given a room that someone else already had. The door lock did not work. We closed the door and left for our event and checked it and it just opened right up. We kept our stuff in the vehicle. No TV in the room. We were not given any bedding for the pull out couch. The sink leaked on the floor every time you used it. The room was adjoining with another and the doors between the two rooms did not have locks. You could not deadbolt for safety. We had to stay because all the other hotels had sold out. Do not stay here. Staff and management were rude and did not care about anything.

Do NOT book this hotel. It is awful! The room was dirty, food crumbs all over the room. Hair from previous guests in the bed, bathroom and on the new package of soap. Felt so dirty and disgusting staying here. We left in under an hour after checking in.

This hotel is the worst I’ve stayed at in the past 45 years!
Sloppy and lazy desk attendants.
Rough on the outside. Really rough in the room.
If their maintenance is so poor, they hey probably let everything slide.
Pool was closed
2nd day received no fresh towels or room tidy.
I learned my lesson. These folks won’t see my money ever again.
Super 8 should take note: this facility downgrades their brand reputation.

The only good things were 1. Sheets and towels were clean and soft. 2. We were easily accommodated with another room, when the first room was unacceptable. 3.No bad smells except occasional weed smoke. 4. Looked presentable from the outside, except for the broken key card box dangling by it's wires near side door.
Pool is closed. Remodeling?? Maybe. But that should be updated on the description, as this is always something we look for when searching for a place to stay. "Breakfast" was very very sad, especially for families. Rooms were far from clean, remote didn't work. no bulbs in some of the light fixtures. First room was full of fruit flies, band-aid (?) stuck to the bathroom door with a gob of hair, hair in bathtub... and just generally unsettling. Second room was a little better. Matchsticks lying around the room, tobacco on the floor even though non-smoking, dirt in all crevices & drawers. Would not book this one again. Ever. We visit Fargo often, and this is the worst we've seen so far.

There was no one at the desk when we checked out. I couldn't use the microwave because it was new and needed the plastic safety thing removed from the plug. The phone in my room was broken, so there was no one around for service. Very poor!

Only stay there if you can't smell
As soon as you walked in the lobby it smelled. Our room smelled like dirty rotten socks. And there was hair in the bathtub and the bathroom floor looked like someone had a haircut in there. There was hair all over the place.

Nothing was good. Everything was run down. Pool closed. Breakfast was coffee and bread and fruit loops. Beds seemed new and sheets were clean. No towels. No staff. Furniture was broken. Hopefully the entire thing is being gutted and renovated.

We walked into the lobby to check in. Andy there was a dirty bath towel on the floor in front of the inside door. Ladys came out the their room saying there is razor blades behind the bed and blood splattered on bathroom door. Our room had cut lamp cords, see through blackout curtains, long strand ofhair on the sink, broken coffee pot and no mini fridge. Which to be fair i dont know if i remember seeing fridge in the room As an available item. I guess i assumed that was in all super 8s.
A positive is the bed linen appeared clean.

Condition of hotel is very run down. Room smelled of smoke even tho it is a non smoking hotel. Pool was closed. Room had hair on the bathroom floor and in the toliet when we arrived. There was a white substance smeared on the bed covering when we arrived. The shower curtain had so much pink mould on the bottom it was disgusting. Would never stay here again but had no option as all hotels were full due to the Pink concert.

The floors were gross. Stains on the carpet and it was sticky like they tried to shampoo the carpet but didn’t run clean water back over it. There were stains on the window nook mattress pad. There was a ring around the rim of the toilet that I don’t know if was poop or rust but it was gross. The vent in the bathroom was so full of dust I don’t know how it would work. The ice bucket looked like it had not been wiped out in years. No microwave or fridge in the room. The room just felt patched together. The floors in the hallway were disgusting and the elevator looks like it had not been vacuumed or wiped down in who knows how long. I would never stay here again. I’ve stayed at dive hotels before and they were honestly better than this place.

Looks beautiful from the outside, inside is a completely different story. We walked in our room and it was cold from the ac which we thought was great. When we took off our shoes we noticed the carpet was wet, we turned the ac off and the room became extremely smelly. Clever move to hide the smell. There was some garbage and paint splatters on the carpet along the walls. Everything is very worn and dirty. The windows on the main floor dont lock. Our room had no smoke detector, just wires hanging.
I asked for a different room, she gave me a room key and told me to check it out. It had a smoke detector but the room was musty like thw last one and the window didnt lock either.
We were in town for a function and everything was booked ao qe qere stuck. I asked for a room upstairs so we didnt have to worry about thw window as much. She gave me another key for upstairs, checked it out and the room was in the same condition but not on ground floor. Hallway had garbage, an old flattened beer case, worn and smelled like grease. Used dirty rooms with the door wide opened the whole time we were there. The bed was comfortable and clean, I checked. I suspect it was a new bed as there were about a dozen old maytresses stacked up outside at thw back of the building.
Staff were nice but no explanation for the issues, no apology, nothing. They clearly didnt care.
Never ever again.

When I arrived, there was one customer ahead of me. The service counter person was on the phonefor about 5 minutes. From the conversation it did not seem to do with the service to the person ahead. I asked if he was being served, he said no. I then requested that customers who were there needed to be served to which the desk clerk put the phone down and served the customer ahead of me.
Once I got my room, the tv remote did not initiate the tv. The desk clerk did come to the room and corrected the problem by fixing the remote problem

The person at the front desk didn’t even look up when I walked in. After a few minutes I said hi and she looked up, asked if had s reservation checked us in. We had two rooms they one smelled like someone smoked in it. Both rooms had paint on bedspread, chairs, and floor. The television didn’t work along with a light. The bath toilet seat had hair all over it like a guy had shaved. One we checked in and every time walking past front desk no one was around as I wanted to see about getting a different room since the smelled so bad. The first floor was being remodeled as they had the doors opened on the rooms and the furniture in hallway. The mattress’s that were on the hallway they should have thrown out a they looked disgusting.
I normally don’t write a bad review but this was not acceptable. Hopefully after they get the remodeling done it wil be better and have someone at the front desk.

Freinds don't let Friends stay at the S-8, Fargo
I would not stay in this hotel again. The room was hideous; filthy, with duct tape over the smoke alarm, quarters to lock the window, nasty fingerprints on the tv and bathroom fixtures, no tissue, floor not vacuumed. The room clearly hadn't been opened in some time. The lobby was unlocked, despite the app telling me it would be locked, the Desk man was in the rear room, did not speak English well, and kept asking if I had a reservation. I finally just had to show him my phone. I requested a late checkout (check out was 11am, and business associates coming to pick me up would not arrive until 12:30) Was told, Yes however if I was still there at Noon, I would be charged an additional $110.00 for the day/night. I paid 78.55 through Hotels.com....the room was maybe worth 25 and a fresh can of Lysol.

I think the Staff were trying hard but obviously they were understaffed and the owner must but be running out of capital resulting in run down conditions and a terrible breakfast as far as options or selections. The bathroom fan was squealing loudly and the cover was hanging half off.
Had to ask for a TV remote. Bed was comfortable.

We were there 10 minutes and left. Our room smelled like a ash tray. Pool didn't work. So they changed our room and it had no microwave or fridge(the room we reserved did) We left and they still charged me for the night.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room maintenance needs to be improved. Bathroom had mildew issues, broken/loose floor tiles and toilet fill tank wouldn't stop running. Also noted some cleaning issues in room. Pool was closed and did not look to have been open for a while. Hotel condition appears to be going downhill - I hope not, as have stayed there before and it has always been a good reliable hotel to stay at.

Overpriced for dissatisfaction
The tub had water in it. The ceiling had a water stain on it & it leaked water in the toilet bowl probably from the toilet above the bowl it was located under. There was no microwave oven where the microwave oven shelf was located.

No HD on the TV’s plus my tv had paint all over the screen. My hotel key didn’t work to get in the room. They sent an employee that couldn’t speak English with me to figure it out so when he figured it out I couldn’t understand what he did. Bed also smelt like the sheets hadn’t been washed they smelt like perfume.

The hotel was very un-clean. The person checking me in was much more interesting in the phone call he was on on his cellphone! The second time I’ve been there and no improvement from the first time but it is only a couple miles from the airport and a gas station to fill up the rental car.

The only thing good here was when we left. I called 11 am to inform them of a late arrival and again at 4 to confirm a 230 am arrival. When we arrived there was nobody working. Called the front desk number several times and sat there for 30 minutes before turning around and going elsewhere. While on the phone, they were rude, incompetent and reluctant to help. Not worth a 5 dollar gamble night.

We arrived after a very long day of driving. From outward appearances, the hotel looks fine. It’s right off the freeway but the only restaurant nearby is Arby’s. That’s fine. We ordered pizza and had it delivered. But when I went in to check in there was nobody at the desk. There was no bell to ring for service. I waited a few minutes and finally said hello to see if somebody was in the back office but nobody came. I waited a few more minutes and said hello again and still no one came. I heard a lot of noise and laughter coming from down the hall so I walked down the hall and saw a family sitting around, laughing and giggling and having a great time. The door to the room was open and a girl saw me and immediately thought of off the bed where she had been laying and walked down to the hall, followed me back down to the desk. She did not welcome me. She did not apologize for not being at the desk she said really nothing , she checked me in gave me the code for the Internet, but did not tell me that the Internet was not working. We found that out when my husband went down a short while later to ask about it. He also had to go to the room to find her and she told him that the Internet was not working. I don’t know why she did not tell me when I checked in. It was a strange situation, having to go hunt down the people who work in the hotel who were hanging out in one of the rooms watching TV with family members. It’s ok if they’re living there, but someone needs to be at the desk.

Horrible customer service, rooms were absolutely filthy. Be sure to lift up bedding to see the giant brown stains in mattress. Was in the building for less than an hour before deciding just to leave. Was not refunded.

Solid Budget Friendly Option
Stayed for two nights on somewhat of a budget. Honestly, it’s about what’d you’d expect given what you pay. Not spotless, but pretty clean. Not luxurious by any stretch but comfortable enough. Location is great for being able to quickly get to the Interstate to head into Fargo or up towards Grand Forks

It was awful the website stated there was a pool it was empty and being used for storage i have a picture the breakfast was horrible there was only a half of bowl of cereal amd a few pieces of bread i had a family of 8 there wasn't enuf for us all to eat it was dirty and stank lights in the rooms didnt work things were dirty and broke absolutely disgusting NO ONE SHOULD EVER STAY THERE the place shpuld be shut down it gives all super 8 a bad name

Worse Super 8 EVER
DO NOT STAY HERE! The hotel staff were rude and surly to talk with. Check-in was a trial at best. The "included" breakfast was a joke. The room was tiny and dirty. There was dirt that was swept up but hidden under the garbage can. The night table was broken and collapsed when a small bag (2lbs) was put on it. The faucets leaked when used. Yet the worst of all the Smoke detector was tampered with and inoperable. Worst stay in any hotel. See the pictures, terrible terrible stay. This stay was the last in a three week trip spanning 7 hotels plus.

No shampoo. Only one bar of soap to share between shower and sink. When AC didn't work, front desk was like, "Well, it's just one night" despite it being 80 degrees that night. I finally got them to look at it, but that's a horrid response.

Very very poorly managed
There was no locks on the windows, anyone could just get in from outside.
The lamp had a cut cord and management just stuffed wires into outlet, which created a electrocution and fire hazard.
There was no food left at breakfast and no one around to tend to it.
Ouside door didnt work, only main door.
People were trying to check out but no one was around.

We were checking in and as we were at the counter a guest and her partner came off the elevator threw their key cards on the desk and said their room was filthy and absolutely disgusting. They left. We got checked in, front desk was friendly, and went to our room.
The good:
There was hot water, that’s rare in hotels now days.
They had good tv programming.
Had good parking.
The bad:
Bathroom had pubic hair on the toilet and on the tile floor.
Shower curtain which was once white had all kinds of stains on it.
Walls in bathroom have wall paper peeling.
Between the 6 pillows on the two beds, 3 of them had stains on the pillow cases.
The sheets on one bed were stained.
On both beds they had a cotton blanket which was covered in human hair.
The corner wall between the bed and window a previous guest had wiped their boogers on the wall. Obviously not cleaned.
Carpets had stains all over in the room.
Carpets were not vacuumed.
The drawers in the dresser had hair in them.
Website says free breakfast. There’s literally a loaf of bread next to a toaster and a coffee pot. That’s not breakfast.
Website says there’s a pool and hot tub.
Both look to have been out of commission for a long time.
The bed was so terrible. If you can sleep by laying on your back the entire time then you’ll be fine. But if you need to lay on your side you are screwed. Feels like sleeping on a box spring. Noises neighbors. Got 4 hours of sleep.

Terrible visit. Pool was not and. has not been for quite some time, in operation. Hole in wall behind door. Outlets nonfunctional. Breakfast was almost nonexistent, cereal and bread. Keys needed to be reset several times. Floors looked like the carpet had not been cleaned in decades.

I called ahead to ask about whether our room didn't have a fridge/microwave and the woman didn't know, and couldn't check as it was "very busy." It's a small hotel, and upon arrival, there receptionist was just sitting there looking bored.
They are not always at the desk, so if you need a receptionist (they might be the owners/family operated?), you'll need to call if you need assistance (checking in/out) and they are very short when attending you.
The room was clean, but the shower wall was peeling and the decor is outdated.
The pool is out of service indefinitely. The business room advertised was not made available.
The outside area was okay. Not very walkable.
The breakfast available is one counter with coffee, two juices, 2 cereal options, English muffins and white bread, and one container of milk.
Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

Hotel and room was dirty with stains and dirty walls. The shower curtain has mold on it. The toilet wouldn’t fill up with water so would not flush unless we manually messed with the tank. I didn’t expect too much from the cheap price but literally the windows weren’t even shut all the way, there were crumbs left on the desk it was just really gross honestly we didn’t even want to use the shower.

Staff spoke very few words, pool/hot tub closed, Continental breakfast poor, noise from drive thru was extremely loud.

The pool didn't have water in it and the staff was unsympathetic and unapologetic. The pool was the only reason we booked a room at this location. Family owned isn't always best. The place smelled like an indian restaurant and so did we for the next 2 days. Absolutley terrible experience

I didn’t like the fact that the property was not as comfortable as I was made to believe, looking at the pictures. Sleeping on their bed was like sleeping on a pile of bricks. It was hard and painful. Their breakfast was piss poor! It was just bread and coffee; nothing more! I don’t recommend!

My room was small but so was the price I paid! The continental breakfast was decent. The staff was courteous. The only problem wasn't the motels fault, the city of Fargo needs a better snow removal system!

Cleanliness could be improved, had stained and hairy pillow cases, one of the bed blankets was awful, felt rough and sticky all at the same time. Terrible breakfast: Orange juice tasted rancid and the hot water for tea tasted of plastic. Friendly people.
