Getaway!
Get little get away. Can walk to just about everything you need. Got to watch the sunset from our window or up on roof deck. Not sure I would visit in summer only because it would be too crazy for me. Liked this place a lot!

Perfect place to stay in downtown Newport
Staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful. Having free parking on site in downtown Newport is a huge plus. The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the harbor. The location can’t be beat. You can walk to everything you want to do in downtown Newport.

Concierge and cleaning staff are professional and personable. I had an issue with the room and it was attended to immediately. Only problem is the beds are right next to the doors, so it can get noisy.

The hotel is right on the heart of the waterfront action. Not sure why I had to write my car make/model etc on a little sticky pad… don’t they have a form for that? It is as busy when we checked and and staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Overall the property is nice. Maybe a bathroom redo is in order..

The view from the property was excellent and the location to area was perfect. Parking was difficult to find a spot and the room had an odor. We also got a text message prior to arrival the pool was out of service but upon arrival was informed there is no pool and not sure why I got that message.

Not Newports Best
They pout is in a room right over the bar the first night and it was so loud until 2 am. Also, the air conditioning in the room really only cooled down the room it was in, so sleeping was not a good experience. We asked to be moved to another room, which they did accommodate, however it was still above the car and was still somewhat loud. The air conditioning in that room was the same as the other, really only cooled the room it was in. The staff was wonderful, but I will look for other accommodations the next time I go to Newport.

Very comfortable room with a great view of the harbor. Sunsets were spectacular! Loved the convenience of the well stocked kitchenette and full pot coffeemaker. While we only stayed 2 nights, this would be perfect for a longer stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely visit, again.

Love the accommodations, however, the shower was awful. Had some difficulty with the temperature and practically zero water pressure. Probably the worst I’ve experienced. The staff came and was very pleasant and tried his best to help. Temperature got warmer but the pressure remained awful. Otherwise, love this spot!

Great Location!
Great location, friendly and attentive staff, clean room and spacious. The walls are a little thin so if you are a light sleeper ear plugs would be smart to have.

This room was more of a mini apartment, full kitchen with a side living room. The room was clean and the place stocked with all the little soaps and powders that make a stay convenient. I liked that there was a free laundry service available. The parking situation was a little tough on the main level but there was additional parking below. Free coffee and tea and walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Location was great! View from suite was awesome. But . . . if you like to sleep go somewhere else. There is a club downstairs that blasts music and noise until 1 AM every night! Never going to do that again!

Great location
Nice hotel. Friendly staff at front desk - helpful. This hotel is in a great location for getting to know the Newport waterfront area. Walking distance to great shops, restaurants. Room needed a little fixing up.

Great location. Avoid any rooms on the first (200”s) floor!!! There is a bar downstairs and it is LOUD (wake you up in the middle of the night loud). That being said the manager found us a quiet room for our second night which was very nice.

Location is key when in Newport, and this place was within walking distance to so many great restaurants, the harbor, and shops.
Also basically it was like a furnished 1 bedroom apartment .
Refrigerator, toaster, blender, cutlery, plates, coffee pot.
Bring your own milk for coffee, some snacks and libations and you will be all set!

Amazing Hotel
Amazing hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, we could walk to pretty much anything we needed (activity, restaurants, shopping), and what we couldn’t walk to was only a short drive. Free parking was a huge plus at the hotel! We had a beautiful waterfront view, and so much space in the room- separate living room with floor to ceiling windows looking at the bay, fully stocked kitchen and two room bathroom, in addition to a king sized bed/bedroom.

It’s in a great location, right in the middle of everything. In terms of my room though, I don’t think the walls were thicker then a piece of paper. I could hear every conversation in the hallways and the rooms on either side, could even hear the people snoring and going to the bathroom. That being said the place was clean and the staff was nice too.

Great location on Thames St. Very walkable, which makes it super convenient. We were blessed with mild weather for Christmas/New Year week, so that made the location even better, as we could leave our car and walk practically everywhere.We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Just before we checked out, I discovered our car was blocked in by a work van. The front desk staff person went out of his way to help me figure out who the culprit was and get the van moved in just a few minutes. We will certainly go back again.

Location was great and staff at check in and check out were friendly.
There was hair in the bed and the room was a bit dingy.
We were placed right above a bar which was extremely loud and stayed open until 1am. I find this interesting since when I booked the hotel, I noted one of the guests is a 14 year old. After the bar let out other guests were very loud and I finally had to knock on their door at 2am and ask them to keep it down. It was such a miserable night, we left after just the one night (we paid for two nights).

What a great little hotel. Totally convenient, just park your car and go (parking is included with your stay which is hard to find). The room far exceeded our expectations, staff was friendly and there is a fun bar/restaurant on the ground level where we enjoyed a nightcap and a few games of pool before turning in for the night. We look forward to staying here gain.

The location is perfect, just steps away from the downtown harbor. The view is the best there is ..... The casement windows could open up more to air the room but otherwise, the living space, the kitchenette, and the bed area are very functional and right-sized. Good value for money, too .....

Wonderful location
Our stay at Club Wyndham Inn was wonderful. The suite provided plenty of room for 4 adults. The location was perfect for accessing restaurants and visiting the Newport Mansions. The only difficulty we had was controlling the heat in the unit.

Wonderful location in Newport!
Location was perfect! Within walking distance to the town, restaurants, shopping etc. Harbor view room was awesome and bed was very comfortable. Be careful not to get the room over the bar (2nd floor) unless you want to be up until 2:00. They moved us to the 3rd floor and that was MUCH better. People were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nice having a full kitchen.

This property has a great location which is convenient to everything in Newport. We could walk to restaurants and all shopping. It’s a short drive to the Cliff walk and the beach. The unit was super clean and had a kitchenette loaded with all the essentials: refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, iron and board, extra blankets and a lot of pillows. Our only disappointment was the picture on VRBO showed a full view of the water. Our unit was a side view of the water. We looked straight at a wall of a building when we opened the curtains. It has a great rooftop to hang out with a glass of wine. Other then the view, I would highly recommend this hotel and inquire about which room has a better view if that’s what’s you’re interested in. Parking was available too!

This property is not at the standards advertised . We paid $300 a night for an unit with no view and the unit was not clean ( towels dirty and pillow cases stained) . The staff ( the person that checked us in was very mean and impatient). Parking is limited . We parked at the hotel property for one night and the other two nights we needed to park away from the hotel at the Club Wyndham on the Shore, 2 blocks away ...

The property has a prime location, the rooms are very clean and in a great condition, all the sights are easily accessible from the hotel and there are many options for dinner/lunch/breakfast nearby, there is a great playground for children very close, and shopping right next to the hotel. Overall everyone enjoyed their stay, and we will definitely come back. Some amenities were not available due to COVID pandemic, but the staff was helpful to make sure our stay was nonetheless enjoyable and memorable. Thank you

Hotel was nearly impossible to find even using GPS. Location was nice, but the view of the bay was obscured by scaffolding. Not handicap friendly. Entry from parking lot requires climbing stairs after certain hours as elevator shut down. No breakfast due to COVID protocol. Staff very helpful. Friendly.

We had an excellent 2 night stay here! We loved how close we were to restaurants and shops. Very clean and had all the dish ware and supplies you could need! Initially could not find the fan for the bedroom, but used it for the second night! Parking was difficult to find-need better directions. Other than that, it was great! The bathroom heating lamp, makeup mirror, and toiletries were wonderful.

Didn't like at all :: the scaffolding outside the window. we were charged extra for the harbor view room, but it was not mentioned in the details that there was scaffolding crossing the view. The view was not at all pleasing. feeling cheated a little. ;(

Great location, clean and well-supplied suite, wonderful view!
It was a bit confusing driving to one property and then realizing we were at the wrong place, but once we worked that out and got to our room the place was excellent. We were surprised at how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, mixing bowls, even a toaster and a blender. The place was very clean, the water pressure was good, and the bed was comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Good location, free parking, and a kitchen in the room made for a very nice stay. I felt that the room setup was a little odd, I would have preferred the bed to be towards the windows. The hotel felt Covid-Clean, and there were plenty of sanitary measures in place. The wifi was free & strong enough for my needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Amazing personalized experience
We had such a great experience . We were there to elope and the front desk found out and sent us up a bottle of champagne and a gift card. All staff was constantly doting over our son and congratulating us, they went out of their way to make us feel like part of the family, especially Elisa at the front desk! Will definitely make this a yearly thing

Club Wyndham Inn on the harbor was good. Location was right in the middle of Thames street, walking distance to everything. Free parking was a plus. Only complaints are that the air conditioning was quite loud in the room, and the rooftop deck was not open, apparently due to covid. They could have spaced the rooftop chairs accordingly and left it open, this was a disappointment.

I rented a little suite for a week just as the property was opening after being shuttered for the CoVid 19 pandemic. The bed was super comfortable. The view of the marina and harbor was spectacular.
Kitchenette is Small but I made it work. Full size refrigerator helped I was very comfortable here.

Newport in winter was quiet and beautiful ... and this proved a great, central place to stay with stunning views of the harbour/waterfront. These are well-equipped timeshare units let out by the day in the off-season - so please note: no daily housekeeping or catering provided. Only a few of the mansions are open year-round but there was still plenty to do, and there is a supermarket where you can buy self-catering supplies about ten minutes' walk up the hill.
My only problem: really selfish, noisy neighbours, a group of girls who on two nights came "home" in the small hours and carried on loud, shouted, raucous conversations till after 2 a.m.. The facility manager kindly offered a partial refund but this didn't seem fair as the hotel was not at fault. But a kind and generous gesture which I appreciated.
Indeed, all the reception staff were charming, welcoming and chatty. I gather the room rates go up exponentially in the season ... but the winter rates were very affordable. I loved it and hope to return - during the winter!

We spent a very nice weekend here in the off season. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at check-in and suggested a great place for dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the harbor. We had a small kitchenette which was nice to have in case we didn't want to eat out, or just have drinks in our room. Wifi was a little wonky, but there was plenty of other things to do and see. Just wish our stay was a little bit longer.

The view of the water was great, however, the building was under a great deal of construction and we were not informed until after I booked the room. Also, the room was right by an exit door which led to the outside, and from a security standpoint did not feel safe on the property. Also, the bed was right by the door and mini living room by the view, it was a weird configuration of the room.
