There is A LOT of construction going on around this property in addition to the back facing Rainey Street, which has live bands and music playing throughout the day/night. While they can't control the bars, nothing is mentioned on the website about construction noise. They do provide ear plugs in the room.
They serve a decent continental breakfast in the morning that is included in the price.
Front desk staff were absent, hiding mostly behind a screen, and the one lady we did interact with wasn't very friendly. Hilton encourages you to use digital key, but this doesn't work in the elevators. So either way you still need a key card, which defeats the purpose of self check in.
Rooms are large with a kitchen and I would stay again because it's walking distance to Rainey Street and my brother's condo

Thought when we arrived, there was no sign saying that check in was around the corner or that I could pull into that garage. So much construction out front and we arrived in the pouring rain not knowing where to go.

The staff is rude I'm a Hilton owners remember I have been for a few years now I've never had a problem like this before all over $100 incidental charge that's going to be refunded when I check out and I was not offered to cash option and now I have support chat from Expedia that has now been disconnected and I don't know how to get back to it

Completely Dissatisfied!
$45 parking per day and $100 deposit was not told about it. They refused to refund or cancel my reservation. The pool is a small trashy spot with yellow pool towels, gave a urine vibe. Flies in the breakfast muffin case!! Absolutely the nastiest place. This was an anniversary trip. Worst map directions ever. People parked in the construction zones to avoid TRAPPED fee for parking. Would never return to stay in Austin. Completely overrated! God do not bring your kids.

Location good for bars etc on Rainey Street. We went to use the pool , outside area was not cleaned , tables not washed in the 2 days we used it , no towels and the pool was dirty , lots of dirt lying at the bottom of it , hair wrapped around the steps. We complained , some one came and skimmed the surface of the water and put some towels out but the water was still to dirty to use.

Great breakfast, staff was very nice and attentive. Rooms were very clean, very comfortable beds! Rooms were spacious. Some construction in the area, but it was not noisy and everything was still very walkable. We walked to and from the convention center for conference. Breakfast was always full and hot. Will stay again next year when we attend the same conference! Thank you!

Modern, clean and right next to Rainey St.
Oved tbis hotel. Clean, modern, gfeat amenities. Pool was nice, gym was well-equipt, rooms are very big and nicely appointed with perfect kitchenettes. Literally on the backside of Rainey Street. Definitely a great placs to stay.

In general very good for family trips. although AC at the rooms was very noisy. One downside is that the property faces the freeway on one side and a back alley on the other, once passed that the neighborhood is nice but a lot of construction going on

Floor in our suite was dirty.
The only issue I have with the hotel is that the floor of the suite was dirty. Our feet were black on the bottoms when we walked on it. Everything else was fine.

Was a very nice hotel and had everything ready for us when arrived. Check in was super easy and parking was right there onsite. Little construction going on around the property but didn't really matter. Construction didn't take away from the charm this place had. Tony the front desk person was exceptionally helpful. Looked kind of like a musican but dude was super professional and made us feel well and taken care of.

Awesome stay
Room was clean, and the breakfast downstairs was delicious! Front desk always has a line/wait but nothing over 10 mins. I took a trip with kids and was looking forward to going to pool but it was more of an adult pool starting at 3 1/2 ft. So not very toddler friendly. I do want to return without kids because the location has a lot of walking distance bars to explore!

By no fault of its own, this hotel is located in the booming area of downtown Austin surrounded by construction. Hotel staff was super nice, and inside clean. Room was nice with mini kitchen.
Austin has exploded and the downtown is peppered with cranes by the dozen. So much construction going on by this hotel that sits right by 35 (which is congested 24/7.)and what used to be known as Rainey District.

We were able to pick our room online and check in via the app. Keyless entry was pointless bc we still needed a card key for elevator and garage access. Parking in the hotel garage was excessive at $45/night. The construction around the hotel was a little difficult to navigate. Trying to figure out entry to the hotel and parking garage took some time since we were not familiar with the area. The homeless population is a bit unsettling but I never felt uncomfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We only stayed one night so did not have a chance to check out all the amenities. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs cooked just right, coffee was hot, and lots of items to choose from. Walking distance to all the fun on Rainey street.

Nice hotel for business travel! Thanks to Tony for accommodating an early check-in for me.
Room was large and the bed was comfortable. Great to have a fridge. Enjoyed the lobby breakfast every day, along with some of the takeaway food options, and there was to-go coffee available at your disposal in the lobby. Nice to have the gym to myself anytime I went. Pool was nice but small. Noisy at night in the room but I just used earplugs a sound machine on my phone. Shower was average. Location is good for Ubers but right on the highway near some tent camps, with awkward walkability. All said, would stay again!

I would rate this 3/5 stars, but as they say you get what you pay for.
The great thing is it’s location, and the size of the room and having a full kitchen and of course it’s low rates.
However when we arrived, our bed was halfway stripped. We had to get ready and run to a wedding party, but unfortunately they said there was no cleaning crew to change our bed that night so we would have to move rooms. Lesson learned that we should have called them before unpacking all of our things.
We we got home late that evening at around 1am it was not fun to gather our things and move to another room. Luckily it was only next door.
Then in our new room the AC was making a horrible loud noise that woke us up in the middle of the night. We turned it down and the sound subsided but was still louder than I would like even with my earplugs.
Then my final complaint is that I tried to use the microwave, but each time it instantly tripped the breaker. After resetting the breaker 3 times I just gave up.
I do like that they always have coffee downstairs. I didn’t get to make it to the brunch provided, but free breakfast is always a perk.
Also the parking is expensive-$45 a night. Due to the location, you can’t find street parking or anything nearby.
Overall with all the hotels in Austin, we do not plan to return.

This hotel was great! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was perfect for our family, everything was clean and very nice. The pool area is beautiful and my kids loved it. This may be one of my favorites! The nightlight in the bathroom...genius!

The bed and pillows were great! The a/c was quiet. Enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast. I wish you had buffet for dinner.
I didn't like the load traffic noise - made it hard to sleep or stay asleep. Also the elevators didn't always take my room card but after 3 or 4 tries it would finally work. One morning the elevator never came to our floor so me and another gentleman walked down 10 flights.

Girls Weekend Get-a-way
The location was perfect, it's a great hotel if plan to enjoy Rainey St. Everyone working there was delightful and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. There is a bit of construction in the surrounding are but did not affect our stay at all. Only negative comment is the pool seems dirty...maybe some mold, looks like it need a little renovating.

Rainey Street Dream Hotel!
The staff at the hotel was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I went for my sister's bachelorette party so being close to the bars was an added plus! Literally a 30 second walk from the front door. My only complaint if any was around the hotel was quite a bit of construction. So it was harder to get in as far as driving in goes. Also, you have to oay to park your car. Not a negative or a positive, just somethimg to note.

So you’re basically staying in a workspace. The finished and touches are much more reminiscent of a low paying workplace than a hotel. Cheap is the theme.
While the property is not impressive, the price doesn’t reflect that. You’re on the side of the freeway and even on the 8th floor, it’s noisy. They also have the brightest alarm clock on the planet and a nightlight in the bathroom. The problem is that this part of the bathroom does not have a door that can be closed. It’s difficult to get a good nights sleep.
On the morning of check out, check out is at noon. Three different employees knocked on my door. Don’t they check to see if a guest has left yet before stopping by to evaluate a room?
For the good parts, there is a grocery store within walking distance and a full kitchen. You can also cut through the alley to Rainey street if you’re there to party or walking to the convention center. Next time I’m in Austin though, I’ll choose a different property.

Pool was not clean and looked like it had not been cleaned for quite some time, brown slime on the sides and along the bottom in all corners and sides. Found a half eaten stinky plate of food that was left in our microwave by previous occupants. Found someone's entire fake eyelash under the vanity in the bathroom. Even more disturbing than that was the NARCAN prescription nasal spray that was old and gross and double stick taped into the lampshade next to our beds.
The cleanliness was extremely disappointing. Would have like to swim in the pool, but it was too gross.
Would have switched Hotels if that was a possibility.

There's construction on either side of the front/garage of the hotel right now, so if you miss it DON'T TURN LEFT! You think that you'll go around, and you will but not without half of Austin partying on the next street. Taking forever to get back and then we got to our room and could hear the partying from a street over and it was hard to put to bed our child (and us to go to sleep) without hearing and feeling the bass on all 3 nights of being there. The rest of the time and place it was nice, clean, kind people.

Carpet was wet, but room was clean. Issues were with parking. The hotel is attached to a parking garage not owned by the hotel. Parking is $45 for 24 hours. However, if you leave at all they charge you. I ended up parking again after being gone for 2 hours and paid another $35. I left after 24 hours and paid $80 for parking. Manager said it wasn't his problem, customer service said it wasn't their problem. Construction is very active in the buildings next to the hotel so if you stay here you'll have to drive. Or walk in the street next to an interstate. Worst experience in a usually reliable hotel brand I've ever had.

I felt unsafe and underserved at this hotel. I had to request a room change 3 times to get a barely decent room.
For the first room I was assigned, I unlocked the door and found a male staff member in there. I received no explanation or apology for this baffling encounter. For the second room I was assigned, the room door could not shut properly or lock from the inside. I also didn’t find any black-out blinds for the windows. For the third room, I didn’t face issues similar to the previous ones, but the bed was hardly made.
After flying for 14 hours with heavy bags and putting up with long flight delays, I really wanted a relaxing check-in experience and hotel stay, but I sadly had neither.
This is the kind of hotel you only recommend to people you deeply dislike.

I loved the room and the convenience of the location. The staff at Homewood suites were very friendly and helpful. The only things I didn’t like was that the front desk and breakfast sitting area was very hot even In the morning. The other inconvenience was that the matress was very uncomfortable other than that I liked the location, the cleanliness and the staff

If I am ever back in Austin, I would stay at this hotel and would recommend it. Great location walkable to almost anything in the city. Clean comfortable rooms with full kitchen. Washer and dryer machines available. On site convenience store. Good free breakfast. Mostly friendly staff. Dog friendly with a convenient grass area right out front and free doggie waste bags.
The dishwasher in my room did not work during my six day stay, but the manager compensated by refunding me for one of the nights, which I thought was adequate and fair.
The pool water did not look very clean (was slightly cloudy) and the pool is on the small side. The pool is on a roof top in which the sun was blocked from reaching the pool area until late afternoon. Fortunately I was not in Austin to spend time at the pool. If swimming and sunbathing is high on your list, this is not the hotel for you.
The breakfast staff were mostly unfriendly. One of the staff acted irritated that I asked for some milk for my cereal. They seemed to run out of milk on the stand very frequently. They also ran out of juice that they set out often. The juice was supplied warm/not chilled in individual bottles. I suggest the hotel invest in a juice dispenser machine. At least the coffee bar was nicely/adequately stocked, and there was a nice selection of tasty breakfast foods including hot items such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, meats.. No smiles. No "good morning". They would start clearing before the breakfast time ends.

Not pleased with this location at all
I ended up asking for a full refund as well as only staying for one night only because I had to, checked out the next morning. Customer service was sub par, didn't get the room that was booked, the room smelled like wet dog, pool was dirty slimy and had stuff floating in it. Beds and sofa sleeper was uncomfortable and the phone didn't work in the room so I had to go downstairs for every issue. Unfortunately, the stay here was forced for one night and not pleased at all. Super disappointed as I have stayed at different Homewood Suites in other locations and this one was the only one that was horrible. Pets are fine, but clean your rooms enough so that people without pets don't have to smell it.

I loved the location and the rooms. However, be aware that you are currently between two construction zones, but it stayed fairly quiet. Employees were nice but barely there, when I tried to check out it took a ton of time to find a worker and was almost late to the airport.

Only option for parking is paid garage at the hotel and the self parking option was more expensive overall than the valet parking. The Valets were quick to get our car and the breakfast was very nice each day. Housekeeping is only offered after staying for 4 days.

The hotel is stylish but at the time of our stay, there was a lot of construction. Also, I was disappointed to see how the hotel is greenwashing. While they had recycling bins, when you looked closer, the trash and recyclables all went into one bag.
