Only employee i saw was the one who checked me in and that was the only time i saw him. Tv seemed to not have good service, as it going in and out. Remote for tv qas broken and missing battrey cover. Shower faucet was not properly working.

Very nice hotel, the room was clean but the curtains needed to be replaced. They were torn and soiled from the heating vents. The bottom of the curtains hung just above the heating vents and collected dirt from the vents. Maybe the vents needed cleaning as well. Overall it was a nice stay. The breakfast was delicious!

Decent for a night
Our stay was decent, the front desk was helpful and room service was respectful and they got me extra towels when I ask for some pretty quickly. The bed was comfy. However, the hotel is old and needs a lot of maintenance and updates the pool was extremely dirty and it smelled bad so sadly we didn’t even bother to go in. And the carpet is old and smells like cigarette smoke. The walls, curtains, and doors were stained. And the towels and bed sheets look pretty old. But overall for the price I payed it was decent for one night.

Didn't get to enjoy the pool. It didn't look very clean inside the area around the pool, the color of the water wasn't as clean either. The housekeeping services continuously knocked on our door, even after we renewed our stay for a second night, asking what time we were leaving as we were overstaying. That was annoying.

Not so good, a little unsafe
The biggest problems I had was there was no bottled water. I don't mind paying for the water but we had to walk over to a 7-eleven in an area that didn't look safe in the middle of the night.
Also, another is there was no plug to take bathes.

One night stay
Lots of little things amiss. No toilet paper holder, ice machine broken, keys didn’t work the first time, etc. The floors were always wet - with puddles from people leaving the pool - puddles in front of and on the elevator - not safe. Noise level was loud, and we were not near the elevator. Front desk was helpful, easy location on and off 95, lots of choices to eat (although most fast food) and gas available close by. Only stayed one night, so it was fine.

Room's heat/air didn’t work at all. No mugs to make coffee/tea were provided. Curtains were torn/ripped like wolverine had gotten to them. Walls paper thin, heard coughing from next room and every footfall from above. Hairs on sheets when covers pulled back. TP and tissues were rough. Bed was very comfortable.

Refrigerator didn’t work, food spoiled, women’s bathroom in the lobby must have been used by a homeless person overnight, disgusting filthy food and clothes on the floor.

Lots of broken things in the room. Hole in the wall. Burning smell. Pull out sofa is very uncomfortable. Had no linens for it on arrival.

The property was fine our room was double booked the first night of our stay and we had to stay in a different room than we reserved which is a big deal when you have a wheel chair bound person
I booked in October early to make sure we could have a roll in shower but somehow it was occupied and then we had to change rooms the next day not happy about this at all

The first room we were given was dirty with something unidentifiable on the walls, tub was dirty, the smoke alarm was missing from the wall. We were moved to a second room which was not much better. Above us there was there was loud music and stomping going all night. I complained and it was quieted for a brief time, then continued. We got no sleep. Would never stay there again, others too.

With so much travel, many hotels are showing wear and tear that in the past would be quickly touched up or renovated. This hotel is cared for and good for spending the night. I found my room to be good. Clean, basic, updated, comfortably cool. Efficient and polite front desk. Clean lobby. Energy efficient light bulbs give off a cold light in the lobby and room, but I appreciate the effort to be green.

when I showed up I was told the elevator didn't work and I had to use the stairs . the hot tub also didn't work . when I got up to my room there was no soap or shampoo and conditioner. I kept trying to call the front desk but they weren't answering so I had to go back downstairs. . The room smelled musty. I actually had to change rooms. the room I got the 2nd time was much better but I am disappointed being that I don't stay in hotels much I was excited only to be let down. was definitely not worth what I had paid .

Booked this for 2 nights for a softball tournament this past weekend and the whole team booked as well. Most families left after night 1 and didn’t care they were going to forfeit $150 for night 2, and the ones that stayed got up and left as early as possible to get out of this place. The Elevator broke and the doors to the stairs were slamming all night, when it was working it was extremely slow. The rooms were outdated and smelled like smoke even though it’s a non-smoking hotel, the shower was dirty, beds were uncomfortable, TVs were outdated and small, our room was missing smoke detector (many others had no phone), the towels were tiny, the hvac unit was very loud and had no “auto” option so it never turned off and the smell of marajuana was everywhere. Our room wasn’t exceptionally dirty but other families were grossed out by their rooms, so much so everyone nicknamed this place “the murder inn”. When we left after night two we found someone had pooped on the ground in the parking space next to one of our cars, yes you read that right. It was way overpriced for what it was, probably should have been $79/night and if it was we would have stayed away. Not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at but in the top 3 for sure. The only good things about this place was it was convenient to food and the places we needed to go to. The breakfast was actually pretty good.

Worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The online pictures are deceiving. The hotel was filthy! Stains on furniture and carpet and dirty bathrooms. A very creepy guy just hung out at the hotel and even followed us to our floor! He went to a room and jiggled the door handle (had no key) like he was going in. I pretended to call my husband and when he heard me talking, turned around and went back down the elevator. Never went into a room because he had no key… because he wasn’t a guest! The next day the elevator was out of order so we all had to use the stairs. The entire place smelled like pot and there were lots of people coming in and out of certain rooms. We felt totally unsafe and only stayed because it was too late to make the drive home. To top it all off, there was HUMAN FECES in the parking lot when we left! So it is quite literally a $hitty hotel. Do NOT stay here. We will never stay at a Country Inn & Suites for our travels again.

The Service was impeccable!!! We were there for my Son's Wedding. As a Gold Member I had the option to stay at the Fairfield or any Hilton honors. I stayed because it was where most of the family and wedding guest stayed. I will return again.

Great if u like being kept up all night by loud argument in next room. Desk clerk claimed he could do nothing other than call cops which we told him to do, but he didn’t. Then we woke the next morning to find the elevator out of service, capping off a wonderful stay.

Customer service was great. Hotel was dirty carpet, microwave, hallways. Cleaning service was available for towels and bed changing but no one vacuumed the floors. Also the mattress had the bed bug protectors but I beg to differ. They need a deep cleaning.

They had a recent remodel but left some items not done. The tub needed to be replaced or you slid or fell. Rod was barely hanging on. Fridge was on a box that was uneven.
Kids running up and down hall.
The sheers were shredded. Unbelievable. Won't stay there again

Bathroom had hair from previous person on shower walls, shower pressure was weak, air had been turned off completely on 90 degree day before entering and room was musty and hot. Eventually cooled down. If you just need a place to stay overnight it is sufficient, anything longer I would look elsewhere

Will be great when renovation completed
bed was super comfortable and shower was new...those were the most important things to me. they are renovating this site so that explains some things. Has some diddiculty understanding check in gentleman due to his ace t and my poor hearing. Only real complaint was there was no information in room regarding nearby restaurants, etc, and no TV channel guide.

Good hotel stay
We stay at this hotel everytime we come to visit family in Richmond. We booked a suite as we have small children. The suite appeared clean. It needed a deep clean as the vents in the bathroom was caked with dust. The beds were soft. The pillows left a lot to be desired. I loved the red accent chair in the bedroom. The shower was not adjustable. The lights in the bathroom was dim. Overall we would stay her again.

I stayed here about 5 yrs. ago when it was almost new. So naturally, things are not as nice now as they were then. Also, I lived in Chester 25 yrs. ago and realize how much it has grown and changed since then. There seems to be more contractors staying at this site than there used to be, and sometimes they are too noisy. That was the case during my visit. I was awakened before 7 AM one morning by the contractor guys next door. They were playing their boom box and the bass part of the music came right thru the wall as if it wasn't there. The gal at the front desk said she would talk to the guys' boss about it, and found another room for me. That room was much more quiet and cleaner. As far as my "inconvenient" rating, that is based on the fact that the entrance layout is very confusing. If coming from the west direction, to enter one has to make a U-turn, which is always fun during high traffic periods. Then you have to make a hair pin turn after you are on the property (if you can figure out where to enter). I was shocked that the TV's apparently don't have an HD feed. At least the one in my first room didn't, and there was no rhyme or reason to the way the channels operated. I will say the beds and pillows are great and if it's not noisy, it's a good place to sleep. Finally, like many hotels these days they purchase the cheapest toilet paper known to man. It almost crumbles in your hand before you get to use it.

the description on line vs what we got was totally different. They were renovating and the pool and spa were not in good shape ,we had ants in our room, carpets were filthy The staff were friendly and breakfast was good but the building needs serious up grading.

This hotel is under renovations. This should be noted on the website. That being said there is material EVERYWHERE. Employees are not approachable. Our room was an adjoining room that we would never reserve. Our neighbors weren’t disrespectful, but we could hear every word they were saying. Needless to say we weren’t able to sleep. Rooms have mixed match curtains, missing smoke detectors, and pillows are child sized. Won’t stay here again.

There were small bugs with wings all around the window. There was no one on staff to help us. I was able to kill most of them with my hairspray but some were on the bedroom lamps. My sister ran out of hot water while showering. The carpets were all stained.
The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was ok

In some areas the carpet needs either a thorough cleaning or a replacement. Otherwise, staff service was excellent, the bed was comfortable enough and the breakfast was decent. Quiet place to spend a night away from home.

Horrible condition would never stay there again.
The hotel was in terrible condition and filthy! It smelled of smoke even though we were on a non-smoking floor. The bathroom floor tiles moved in the floor, the carpet was beyond filthy the tub was stained and looked dirty. We didn’t use it. And the continental breakfast the yogurt was sitting on a counter warm, the things that were supposed to be warm were cold and stale. The fruit was a bowl of oranges the cold cereal had no milk available. It was not a good stay at all and I was embarrassingly to have not only booked one room for my husband and I but I booked a second room for family which I was treating them too… and it was mortifying.

Room was dirty, pool water looked gross, hot tub was broken, sofa bed was full of chips and crumbs, missing bedding for it and I had to bring it up myself. My son has special needs and was looking forward to the pool and a good night’s sleep. Unfortunately we had a very cranky kid when we couldn’t swim 😞

Good, clean but not spectacular.
Pretty decent hotel, fairly clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
Room was in good shape and clean, beds were fine. Water pressure not too good in shower and you can tell the hotel is older but it appears they are in the process of updating.
Indoor pool was nice; hot tub was not very hot and the jets were a bit weak.
Overall a decent stay, especially for the price.
