Hotellet levede bestemt ikke op til de billeder jeg havde valgt ud fra + lån for langt ude til at det var hyggeligt.
Ud over dette var det koldt som bare h....
Havde det ikke været for Brian, der hurtigt gav os et bare lidt bedre værelse - læs hvor det ikke trak vild under vinduet og varmeblæseren larmede lidt mindre. Pga. kulden skulle varmeblæseren bruges konstant, som så gav os begge en skrækkelig forkølelse. Og jeg måtte blive inde hele den sidste dag og uden WIFI i 3 dage, er det bare et meget kedeligt sted at skulle være. Havde vi skiftet til et bedre hotel.

Good and quiet stay
The people were very nice, but I don’t feel like the hotel is in a very safe area. So on my walks back at night, I saw people shooting up (I cried) and just not feeling very safe as a solo woman in the city. The fact that they had to have a code on the door really bothered me because even when I got to the front door, I didn’t have my glasses on and couldn’t see and there was nobody at the desk. If someone were to bother me, I couldn’t even get into safety quick enough. The room was clean but small. The bathroom was not stellar. I do have to say that I got my best sleep there, in the city, no less! Very quiet and they had very personable staff.

It was in a great area to walk everywhere. New York City is very expensive so this was within our budget and it was very clean in the room.

Definitely, not a honeymoon hotel but is a small hotel in the commercial area to the West of Penn Station (about 10 minute's walk).
There are 5 or 6 rooms per floor and my room was pretty basic -- Good enough for sleeping in and was quiet. The room was clean and had no problems. I was there two nights but oddly my bed was made the first night but trash wasn't emptied or the towels changed. Not a big deal.
Best thing about hotel is price (was in NYC in December and most hotels anywhere near theatre district were a couple of hundred of dollars more a night). Staff was good and helpful. There was a small breakfast served in basement but I went out.
Although hotel is in an old neighborhood, it is right next to Hudson Yards, so lots of shops (including Starbucks) and also access to a subway.
One bonus of hotel is that you can onto the high-line park that lets you walk on an old railroad line about a mile or so south - was a nice surprise.
In short, a budget hotel that served the purpose.

When we stepped into the lobby, immediately smelled bed bug spread. The room is very cramped and old. The online picture doesn't present the reality truthfully. Then we saw the big stain on the bedding skirt and got scared, didn't bother to lift the blanket to check anything else. We booked three nights, but wound up checking in a different hotel as we didn't feel safe there. We don't believe that this place should be called a hotel, as a hotel should hold up to a standard in terms of the size and cleanness of the room. This place should be called boarding room so people don't get mislead, thinking they are actually booking a hotel. We asked if they could charge one night and refund the other two nights. They wouldn't agree, which is a lesson we learned. Don't trust place like this.

Friendly staff, but TV did not work initially and ice machine crashed. You can’t have stuff like that happen and expect satisfied customers. They need to have a mindset which says “we’ll work hard to have you return again” - and it’s not there. Can’t they realize that their success depends on people who “vote” for them?

This is a budget hotel in NYC. If you are expecting it to be the Ritz, stay somewhere else. I was pleased enough with my stay, and it fit my budget and location preferences. I've stayed at much better and at much worse for the same cost. The staff was very friendly. My biggest complaints were that the bathroom was a bit dingy, and the comforter on the bed a bit thin (I felt cold during the night). Otherwise, it was a relatively good stay. It's smack dab in Midtown, so while there isn't much nightlife right around the hotel, you can get to Hell's Kitchen within a 10 minute walk, and Chelsea/Greenwich Village in 20 - 30 minute walk, or a very quick train ride. There are ample quick dining options, and proximity to 7 and all the Times Square trains means you can get to Queens and Brooklyn quickly. I won't be going out of my way to stay here again, but if the rates here are substantially cheaper than one of my other NYC standbys, I would stay here again.

Terrible hotel, to avoid
The hotel is not clean, the staff is not cleaning the room or change the towels. I arrived and the bed cover was full a sugar.
Impossible to sleep the last two nights because of some noise coming from the electronic local.
Pillows are from another century probably.
Staff was not even present when I arrived.
Pictures on the website are probably fake. No light in the room, very old and depressing, broken AC, faucet not fixed in the bathroom, sit of the toilet broken.

The stay at the hotel was decent. The bed was comfortable and the room was well-kept and clean.
The hotel does not have strong WiFi. And if your room is at a lower level the cellphone connectivity is poor as well.

We got put in room 104 which is about 10 feet from the lobby and right next to a big steel door to the stairs. No sleep for us as it was people in the lobby and the stairway door slamming closed all night long. Hairs all over the bathtub and bathroom. Pillows were like a sac filled with a few cotton balls. The location is convenient for an event at Javits but if you need sleep make sure you don't get a room on the first floor here (there are only 2).

Great budget choice
Casamia exceeded our expectations. Vladimir was helpful & friendly. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and there were NO BUGS anywhere in the hotel that we could see. The continental breakfast they supplied was very good, the fruit was very fresh and the croissants were delicious. Coffee was available any time. We were very happy, even though it was not a brand name hotel and the room was small. But it was great for our purposes and we will return the next time we stay in NYC. Thank you Casamia!

A staff member at this place actually robbed me and then said "What are you going to do about it?" and then said they would "put me in the hospital."
This started when I informed them that my AC and tv were not working, and that my room was dirty, so every day he started accusing me of smoking in my room and insulting me when I would walk through the lobby. I do NOT smoke.
Then he decided to just run another $100 on my card without authorization. When I confronted him about it, he was incredibly immature and made lots of physical threats against me.
Breakfast is downstairs in a rat feces infested basement. Room was so small I could barely turn around.
Expedia has been informed, but they also do not seem to care about our safety.

The hosts were friendly at check-in. They offered a nice light breakfast bar each morning, perfect for the start of each day.
The unit lacked prep and we had to ask twice for more toilet paper and tissues within 24 hours of our arrival. Also we informed the front desk that the TV was not working and the AC was rattling. There was no follow up from hosts so my husband purchased a temporary cable for tv and repaired the AC himself.
This hotel has great potential. Just some detail to customer service and response would make a big difference!

Our stay in this conveniently-located hotel was quite pleasant. The front desk staff was helpful, everything worked, and the room was quiet and very clean. The continental breakfast in the little dining area also was excellent. I do not know if we were supposed to have housekeeping services included or not, but we did not. When I needed soap I called the desk and it was delivered within minutes.

The rooms are good, clean but a bit small
There was no cleaning service during the stay and the breakfast was miserable. Next to mops, brooms and stacks of towels, they had set up 3 small tables and will put coffee, juices, bread and jam, and some mandarines (if you got there early, you might find some bananas).
Other than that, the staff was extremely courteous.

Good for a one-night stay to attend a conference at Javits. Was only in the room long enough to shower and sleep. Everything worked, lil dated but room was clean. Linens (bedding and towels) had a few rogue hairs but I brought my own. Check in (via email and at desk) was easy. Front desk lady was nice. Housekeeping was still cleaning next door at 8:20pm and there was a smoke detector beeping every few minutes that never got addressed, but for 1 night I just dealt with it. Felt safe, clean enough, and great location for me.

We had food in the refrigerator and drinks everything froze. In the bathroom sink drain was very slow looks like it was kind of clogged the handle bar in the shower broken the Fossetts in the shower was also broken he worked But the handle On the Fossett was coming off.

I didn’t like that I had to wait over a hour to check in after getting a email stating check in was at 11
Didn’t like the ice maker n microwave in the basement
Didn’t like that there was no parking available
Didn’t like that after waiting so long for my room to be ready it had a view of the trash bins

Great spot to stay in the City! I'm former OG Brooklyn but needed a place to stay in Manhattan and this spot worked out great. Super convenient (just a few walking minutes from both Penn & Port Authority, major Manhattan touristy stops, and a brisk walk to the Park). The manager Vlad was also super helpful, very accommodating and all around excellent. I was looking for a clean, convenient, cozy and budget sustainable place to drop in to Manhattan on a monthly basis and I found it! "Casamia" is a perfectly suitable name.

A winner for sure
Loved the location - near the subway, dozens of great restaurants, and only a half block from the Lincoln Tunnet when it came time to leave town. Room was larger than most I've had in NYC, with a king bed and comfortable workspace. Excellent internet connection and a nice bathroom with hot water right away in the shower (not always true in NYC hotels). Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

A solid basic hotel. Exactly what I expected with a friendly staff. The only real negative was that check in was not as advertised on Expedia. Expedia said 11 am checkin and the front desk said that it had been changed to 3 pm so I had to sit and wait for my room to be ready.

The young lady that checked me in was super friendly and nice over the property was clean looked neat. The room itself was clean too. But the sink had a huge that was patched up with something yellow made the sink and over bathroom look old.the tub looked like it was painted and it was chiping the mini fridge wasn’t working it was plugged in the wasn’t cold.

Excellent service - front desk staff more than welcoming, willing to help and answer any question, and walk you through what you need to know for accessing the hotel after-hours and your room
Some wear, but clean and comfortable - there were some hints of wear-and-tear on the bathroom sink and tub, along with small patches of wallpaper peel at a few corners; that doesn’t take away from new and cozy beds, well-kept furniture, comfortable heating and cooling, and a great place to unwind and rest up
Great value - one of my new favorite bargains for a weekend trip into the city, close to Hudson Yards and the Javits and a short walk to Times Square and Midtown

No room cleaning during our stay and it was not informed while check-in, so not sure if it's a COVID thing. Anyway not happy about it, since there is no front desk staff after dinner time, can't contact any staff for this issue when we back hotel at night.

Our room was really clean and cute. The place felt very secure too: they give you a pin code for a front gate, a key for the front door, and of course your room key. We got a room with a view of the New Yorker building which was an unexpected and welcome treat! The guy at the front desk was also very nice and hospitable. We had two beds in our room and they were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Nobody answers phone at this hotel ever
Only complaint is no person ever answered phone at hotel when I called to ask some info. I made several attempts to no avail.
The gentleman who checked us in was nice courteous. I didn’t know the hotel was under remodel. However as a customer in the future I would advise to have someone answer the phone when potential customers call. Regards

There is a problem here. Makeshift entryway made of plywood and barbed wire locked me out. Someone smashed the shady door apart and I couldn’t get in at midnight. Phone on website and Expedia listing rings to nowhere and no one is on property at night. Room was white with nothing on walls. I would avoid. I would say call before trying it but you won’t get anyone. Dangerous.

Nice place to stay in Midtown NY (for what you are paying), close to Metro station. For being where it is the noise levels are good and you cant hear much from the street. The staff was helpful and cared about customers.
Rooms are small, but then again you just want a place to crash at night

I like the location. But the building being closed during construction in the removal of a portion of the front of the building requiring razor wire and boards to access the lobby. The fact that the space was unsafe and unattended I strongly recommend against it. Should not be open during the construction site.

Very disappointing
Did not find out until we arrived that check in is only from 10am to 6pm and the hotel does not hold luggage. This caused us to carry heavy backpacks all over the City after we checked out because we weren’t leaving until 6pm.

I was upset that the deposit on the room was $200 when i stayed here the previous night under my friend's name the deposit was only $50. The front desk attendant did not have an answer to why this was a discrepancy.

Would stay again
This Hotel has a great location for Javits center. It’s a short walk nice for a 3 day trip for conventions. I’d stay here again it’s great when you get a deal on hotels.com. I wouldn’t pay 200.00 a night but for $150 a night it’s a good stay. Rooms are small I was in room 104. It was clean drawer handles were broke but I didn’t use them. Room has a small desk for working. Shower and tub were clean as well as the rest of the room. Beds are older and pretty firm. No soft pillow top mattresses or deluxe items. water pressure was good had hot water everyday. If your not accustom to lower budget style hotels like Red roof inn motel 6.

Disappointing overall

Mad-Low Room Price Makes Issues Deal-able!
The staff we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The hallways and our room was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the room heater. When we arrived the heater was not on and the room was very cold. Leaky window seals. I fired up the heater which took several minutes for the air to turn hot. The room heated up quickly but the thermostat was finicky and we basically had to manually turn the heater on and off to suit our comfort levels. It wasn’t too bad, just a tad annoying a couple of times. Breakfast (incl.) was muffins, bagels, OJ and coffee. That’s it. No cereals, yogurt, fruit, etc. But all in all the room was only $47! Hotel rates citywide were very low due to it being mid-January.

No water in morning and "cheap" apology!
This is a modest, zero frills motel. That's ok - what is terrible is the way they deal with customers problems.
When I woke up in morning on 12/13, there was no functioning water to the shower or sink. ( It was because of a Fire Department issue in neighborhood overnight - apparently only effected my floor.)
They offered me a change of room, for a shower, but I did not have the time to deal with that.
Upon leaving , I asked for a credit for a "room night in the future..in 2020:.
The most they would give me was $50....I paid over $200 for the toom.
Given the terrible inconvenience of not having water, I thought there response was cheap, inconsiderate and very un-hospitable.
Based on that, I'd say....never stay in this hotel!!! Think how they might treat you????!!!!!

This hotel is a joke. Sheets are gross. Pillows are so small.
Rooms are freezing and heater is so loud.
Rooms are small with linoleum floor.
They make you pay a few of $15 just because. For every guest. No room service. No service. It’s so small.

I love the neighborhood dynamic in this part of NYC. This neighborhood is a great model of a well mixed city population. This is real New York. If you want upscale NYC this is not for you. If you want great food and real people stay here!!

The hotel was fine but very over priced for what was offered I would classify it more of a motel then a hotel. No fridge in the room. Very old. No amenities in the hotel. The staff was very nice but I would be satisfied if I paid 1/4 of the price.

This hotel was very poor in every aspect and extremely overpriced. They advertised free breakfast and all they had were bagels. They are cheap, inhospitable and rude. They wouldn’t let me go in the room one minute before check in when we grossly overpaid for seven days. At checkout, they literally started calling 5 minutes after the checkout time and didn’t stop harassing. The front desk guy even came up to my room. I literally checked out 40 minutes after checkout time. I wouldn’t stay here even if you gave me a free room. Horrible experience. It’s a $40/night kind of place in a bad area charging $350/night. Rather stay in the train station bench.

The entire staff was xtremely friendly and asked if we needed anything there was 24 service at front desk. Quiet, clean comfie beds and very nice breakfast. Overall a good experience and would return. Don’t pay attention to any of those bad reviews. They r daily upgrading snd doin a fabulous job. Good location close to Javits but bad service.
We stayed here for 5 nights. Microwave did not work. We asked to fix it on the very first day and we had to remind them 2 more times before it got fixed on the 4th day! No one ever refilled or replaced shampoo/ shower gels. The worst experience was talking with the main desk attendee. He told us that the price that we paid for the hotel room, we should not have much expectations (like working microwave). It was good to have the breakfast included in the price but it was average.

Relaxing stay.
The stay was comfortable nothing crazy. Nice room and clean bathroom enough space to move around and be comfortable. Near lots of bars and restaurants you can step out and find something to do or eat withing seconds. Employees at the front desk are very warm welcoming and have a very relax vibe about them.

Casamia 36 was a great place to stay that had good proximity to everything in the city. The rooms were clean and well kept. Conveniently located next to what seemed to be the only gas station in the city. So finding an Uber or a taxi was a simple as walking up to the gas station. Overall a great place to stay!!

Cute lobby , clean room and comfy bed. Room was way too small, bathroom needed fixing ,no toilet paper holder , shower water leaked all over floor and air conditioner unit was old and loud
