The customer service definitely could have been better. Was told because I booked by third party and not through the actual site that my reservation for a king bed could not be honored.
I requested a pack n play for the room for my baby. The pack n play was in the room but did not have did not have the mattress, leaving it useless to us. When I asked the front desk staff, she called the manager who told us this is the way they come. I can assure you they do not come this way. You can’t put the baby in a pack n play without the mattress. See attached pictures. You can see the bottom of it, which has a hard metal piece you can lift to store it. This was a very simple accommodation I requested and they were not able to help. Probably won’t return.

Toilet didn't work properly. Bathroom is poorly constructed. Door right on top of the toilet. Can't see a fat person fitting in there. For the money they charge there is no microwave. Even Super 8 has a microwave at half the price of Hyatt.

This property was exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly, courteous and made you feel welcome. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Definitely will stay there again and recommend to others.

Was not aware that the hotel was under construction. It was not loud, it was just visibly under construction. Our room was outdated. Also, parking is free, but Expedia asks if you want to pay and I did. Now I can’t prove that I did because the rate is not broken out in my receipt.

There’s Better
I understand the hotel is being renovated, that’s fine but it looked like they just messed things up and walked away from the job. We were there for 5 days and I never saw anyone doing any work.
Never once did anyone come clean our room. We had to ask for towels a few times and take the trash out ourselves. When we pulled out the sofa bed, the old dirty sheets were still on the bed. Upon arrival to our room, there were still dirty towels in the room as well.
The breakfast wasn’t the best either. If you are looking to stay here and relying on having breakfast, don’t. They have a hard time keeping up with what people use and they have a very poor selection.
Lastly, when we checked in the customer service was lacking. Nothing was explained to us as far as breakfast times. They gave me a bag with a water bottle and two red tickets, I still have the tickets but have no clue what they are for!

Everything smells really nicely upon walking in. It was nice to feel the warmth after being in the cold. I was impressed how the attendant called us in the room to see if everything worked okay. The staff’s friendliness is what adds to the overall experience. The room is very nice and clean.

Everything was clean, staff was super helpful and friendly. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was breakfast. We got breakfast around 8 am and they were out of orange juice and also ran out of hard boiled eggs and scrambled as well.

My experience at this hotel was decent at first. They are doing renovations so of course the lobby wasn’t great. However, the morning we left I had to call the police because my license plate was stolen from my car. I called the front desk and they said there were no cameras facing the parking lot only the entrance. Please beware!!

Property is undergoing extensive renovations. Reception was moved into the same area as morning breakfast buffet, but there were no tables or chairs. We had to take food back to our room and hope that buttons in the elevator worked. Stuff tried their best to accommodate the guests, which was difficult under the circumstances.

The beds were absolutely uncomfortable. A few of us stayed there for our friends, daughters wedding. The one room the bed had stains on it that you could see right through the sheets. They had a mattress cover on it that was too small to even cover it. The couch was stained as well. The floors were not vacuumed and they were stained. They moved me to another room and that was just as bad, I went to use one of the wash cloths and it had somebody’s facial hair or another type of hair in it. To think I almost used it on my face. I did not enjoy my stay there, nor did I sleep well at all. The breakfast was cold every morning and there were no microwaves to heat anything up in. You had to have the staff heated up in the one behind the bar. I tried to speak with the manager several times, and the front desk person gave me the runaround and kept telling me they weren’t in. I have attached photos. You will need to zoom in on some of them to see what I mean. They say they are under renovations, and kept apologizing. However, for what I was saw, there was no excuse. Our friends who also stayed ended up sick and believed it was due to mold in their room. As soon as they were moved, they started feeling much better.

WORST HOTEL STAY EVER
The stay was a mess. First our room temperature was set at 60 and the room would not cool down. A housekeeper came in the room without knocking while one of us were without clothes she said she's sorry she thought it was on her checkout list. We woke up several times throughout the night to change the temperature. Now this is the worst of the hotel stay.. we're leaving from the 6th floor, get on the elevator ,as soon as the doors closed the elevator dropped really fast to to the first floor. Then the elevator was bouncing up and down when we stopped and the doors would not open. We hit the open door button still wouldn't open. We were terrified and panicked. Then finally the doors opened after that terrifying ride, warned a gentleman to not get on the elevator. Upon checking out we told the clerk Tony what had just happened in the elevator and the room not cooling off , he really disregarded our comments And was like "ok I'll let them know". We just left and will never EVER EVER stay there again. Not to mention the room ceiling was a mess peeling and the carpet was filthy we were too tired to find another hotel. When we left it was a relief but now I'm can never look at elevators the same it was a feeling I have never felt in my life in the elevator. Shane on this establishment.

The room smelled really bad, musty and very moldy smell and bad odors. The bar tender was very rude. Breakfast was horrible. Our room was not cleaned and the dirty towels were in the room all day. Overall it was a terrible experience. Will never stay there again, and would not recommend. Not worth $298/night, total ripoff. I'm very disappointed 😞

The room felt a little musty. The beds were pretty comfortable. The sink was located outside the restroom which was very convenient for my family when getting ready. There was a small fridge which was great for leftovers, would’ve been better if there was also a microwave. Overall our stay was pretty good and affordable. I would recommend.

Stay was for one night. All good except breakfast. Nice spread but would have preferred waffle maker. Waffles were cooked in advance & were hard. Eggs were pancakes stye no taste would have preferred scrambled. Husband enjoyed hash browns. Fruit mix very good. Coffee very good.

I would never recommend the South Carolina location.
That property was dirty, starting with the elevator, the carpet, the sofa bed, the bed frame, and the bathroom. Everything looked run down. I booked this place because of the ratings, but I made a huge mistake. FYI make sure you eat all your food because the room does not have a microwave, not even in the lobby, and they have roaches. The staff was friendly, but overall I had a terrible experience with my stay and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sérieusement je ne sais pas comment cet hotel peut avoir une cote au dessus de 7 . Il yavais de grosses insectes genre coquerelles dans le corridor et de plus petits dans la salle de bain et sur l’air climatisée de la chambre. Il y avais de la moisissure dans la salle de bain sur le mur.
Le dejeuner etait bon sans plus.
On y retournera pas.

Staff was awesome. Pool was green, black mold on bathroom ceiling, cars were vandalized in parking lot. Breakfast was good, room was clean. One elevator was broken and there was a large roach in the other. Housekeeping staff was awesome!! Good place but needs some TLC. They did get new pool furniture while we were there and it was very nice.

In desperate need of an upgrade. Carpet in room was disgusting. Toilet didn’t flush properly, stains all over the couch in the room. Only 1 working elevator for the whole hotel and they double charged me for a one night stay.

A little short
Our AC unit would not turn on. My wife who was in in a wheel chair could see a cord under the unit. So I laid on the floor to get a look and it was unplugged. When I plugged it in it smelled like old socks coming from the unit. We stayed in the room bc it was rated as impaired friendly which I thought was the woke way of saying handicap accesible. It was not. The shower was just a tub with grab bars. No shower chair was available. The bathroom was large enough to maneuver a wheel chaair around.

We stayed in one of the double-bed rooms. One of the beds was right up against the air conditioning unit, so the bed felt damp... The whole room smelled musty upon arrival, and after realizing the bed arrangements it made sense. Also worth noting that the bathroom is very small and the sink is not in the bathroom. Breakfast was small but suitable. Staff were friendly and the location was convenient for us otherwise. Get what you pay for.

This place is under construction. I would have never booked a room with a hotel under construction. The ceiling in my room is peeling. The whole hotel just look dark; the hallway, the room, the lobby. I will note be booking any more hotel without having a chance to know were I'm going before l pay or research the hotel in more detail.

We were unaware it was under renovations which we wouldn’t have minded but it would have been nice to know before booking bc I wouldn’t have paid the full price knowing the condition of the lobby there were buckets catching water all over the place and when we got to our room half the carpet was soaking wet so we had to wear our shoes to bed, it was disgusting. When I mentioned it to the cleaning lady as we were leaving she cut me off saying she knew it was wet there. So they knowingly were giving rooms to people they knew weren’t up to par but just didn’t care or offer a discounted rate thats just disappointing customer service in my opinion and because of that I’ll make sure to avoid.

I have difficulty walking and first we were greeted with a torn up entrance that had flooded and there were driers on the floor to prevent slipping. Second, we were given a room with a plumbing project in process. We had to be moved to another room and so had to carry our luggage a second time. Third, we woke in the morning to find that the elevators were not working. I had to walk down 5 floors to breakfast, back to my room to pack and down the 5 floors again. We had been told at 7:30 am that the elevators would be repaired in an hour. We waited till 9:00 to go to breakfast and were told again that the elevators would be repaired in an hour. The staff seemed very nonchalant about the inconvenience to their guests. I have stayed at this hotel for years when visiting my son and I guess I should have realized that it was getting OLD. I'll be changing to one of the newer hotels in the Columbiana area on my next visit.

I will admit that I didn't read the reviews before I booked my stay here, relying only on the star rating and overall rating number. I believe this place was an eight. I wasn't until I walked down the dank hallway leading to my room then I realized I had made a terrible mistake. The property is under renovation, but it's nowhere near completion. I would avoid for at least the next year or two until they get things together, if they get things together.
The front desk staff was very nice though.

The hotel is under construction, which is fine, however, should have been disclosed when going to book. That being said, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming upon arrival. The room was just ehh. Felt like a very used hotel with a lot if damages which looked nothing like the photos online. I hope the bed sheets were clean because the shower sure wasn’t. Hair all over the shower and a pony tail holder left in the shower. The shower was clogged and wouldn’t go down and so was the sink. Really not worth the money. I wish I had gone to the Home2 not far from there, same price & looked brand new. Plus it’s closer to the better restaurants.

Didn’t meet my expectations.
The hotel was not what I expected. It was going through renovations and it looked a little run down. Furthermore, the pool was out of service, which was not displayed in the hotels.com website. When I asked if there was a scanner at the business center I was told they only had a printer at the manager’s office. They also charged me a $50 deposit for which I have not been reimbursed yet.

Lost its luster
There was construction. That should be on your site. Also, my first room smelled of smoke. I switched rooms and staff walked into the room. There were large and prominent food stains on the carpet and mildew on my sheer curtain. The elevator was very slow and, at times, not functional which left me with no way to get from the sixth floor to the first. I used to stay at this hotel often because it was great. Somehow, it has become a rundown low budget hotel and a premium price. Sad to say I will never stay there again.

In all fairness, this property is undergoing a major exterior renovation which produced noise. All windows were covered with plastic sheeting. I’m assuming an inside renovation/sprucing up will follow. The checkin staff was great despite having to inform all checking in that water was off and expected to be off from 3-7 pm. It came back on by 5pm. Felt badly for them. My room was cleaner than not but could have used a little extra attention. Not my usual Hyatt Place experience.
