I was in town running the Half marathon. And they let us check in 4 hours early and 1 hour late on check out. The office staff was very nice and accomodating. Irish bar aroud the corner is great atmosphere for football games and good food!! Nice, enjoyable weekend.

I will stay there every time I visit Clearwater. Sam is so nice and service oriented, she made us feel great. The bedroom was clean, it had toiletries and sufficient towels. The view is beyond beautiful, I could live there. In one word excellent!

Had a great stay
My family and i had a wonderful stay. The staff was really friendly the room was nice and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Even with it being 100 degrees outside the pool was a great and a good temperature.

Renovation needed
The hotel is definitely in need of renovation, the beds are hard and not comfortable. We found a roach in our room. The pool is clean, but in need of some repair. All the tile was cracked at the bottom of the pool all needed to be redone. The grout on the tile in the pool is falling off, looking around the facility. It looks like there are some cracks in the balconies from the underside. The picture on their website does not deflect the actual quality of the room on a scale of 1 to 5 I’ll give this a 1.5.

Room smelled musty. Slider doors were old and very noisy, popcorn bag found in microwave, and coffee pot didn’t function correctly. Staff were very nice when there. Nobody after 4 or before 9’ish. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Good point was located out of the built up Clearwater beach craziness.

Property is old, so evrything was according to the building age. However, we love the room view, and it was clean, and they have tours availability right there without getting our of the facility, without lines, it was very convenient. WET jet sky have a location just there in the Marine behind the building.

We love absolutely EVERYTHING about this place! First, Sam and Maria are amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy and comfortable during your stay. The overall property is very well maintained, the rooms are the type of clean you can see and smell, and the views of the bay are breathtaking! We ended up extending our stay for 2 more nights, we didn’t want to leave! We even made sure we booked our rooms to come back in August. Beach, food, and nightlife is all within walking distance. Chart House is definitely our home away from home!

Fairly small and slightly dated hotel but I have to say the rooms were clean and well equiped and the location is nice on the waterfront. Reception staff really pleasant and friendly. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

This is a great location when visiting the Clearwater area. We were able to drive quickly over the causeway bridge (no traffic) and went to Sand Key park beach. The area around the hotel was not crowded, but just a half mile further would have been. We had a great view overlooking the water of the bay and yacht club. The front desk staff was very helpful during check-in and check out. My only suggestion would be to update the mattresses on the beds. Overall, this was a much better option than the crowded hotels.

Staff very friendly and helpful. the room is spacious but needs updating. Cracked tiles in bathroom…worn carpets. The bed didn’t have a full corner hugging mattress cover- just a cover that got bunched up while you slept.
We only stayed 2 nights.

The hotel is somewhat dated. It is nicely located in a quiet area with good access to beaches and restaurants. It has a nice. quiet small pool.

Very friendly. 5 star customer service.
The customer service was 5 star. I received a phone call day off to make sure I was aware of check in times and procedures. I was a late arrival so they had all of my information waiting for me in an envelope right outside the office. They provided a code for a lock box to get my room key and parking passes. It took about (no joke) 7 times before I could get the lock box open to get my key. The room was in good condition. The location was very quiet. There were a lot of police cars and community courtesy officers that drove by which made it feel super safe. It’s right next to a yacht club, so in a very good area. Right on the water with a marina. They do jet ski rentals, which if it wasn’t 30 degrees out we would have totally done. Check out was super easy and friendly. They have an elevator for ADA accessibility. A laundry facility if you’re staying for a little bit or just need it. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it.

No staff on site. When I called to complain about out issues no one available. Room smelled absolutely disgusting! Old ruined carpet in hallway. Rollaway beds randomly sitting in hallway. Rusted old and dirty appliances

The view is prety outside but dirty inside, gross
The view off the balcony is pretty but the inside is not clean. Tiles were busted in the bathroom. Problems with hotwater. The issues is no one is there after 430 pm. We were thankful that we were checking out the next day.

Great stay at Chart House Suites
I wish I could give an extra rating star for the great service of the hotel staff during our stay. They were both great. The room itself was large, clean, comfortable, with a nice balcony, and at a better price than nearby alternatives. Traffic near the pier/marina and parking there was not great. But that was only a 15 minute walk from the hotel so that is how we got there. Easy for us since we like walking. We would certainly stay here again when in the area.

It was advertised daily cleaning. We booked for 7 days and was not cleaned. We could request a cleaning but we were gone in the morning before they opened. Anything we requested was bought to our room promptly, (towels, toilet paper etc.) I think it would have solved the problem if a cleaning would have been scheduled at check in due to our length of stay.

When I booked this place it stated free breakfast. It was listed in the amenities. When we arrived we asked about breakfast and were told they did not serve it. We showed them a picture stating free breakfast and we were told they were trying to get that off of their site and then was told it was not them when we had proof clearly showing it said free breakfast. When I booked this room it was for a king bed and when we walked into the room it was two double beds. When I mentioned that to the desk she changed the subject and did not address that with me. The room was dirty, and the coffee pot still had used coffee in the maker. The pool was fiifty. It had all kinds of stuff floating in the pool. We couldn’t even use it. Actually the manager doesn’t even use her pool we saw her at the pools hotel next to us. We were given pool towels that had huge brown stains on it. Our room was next to a couple who fought and was loud and noisy through our stay. We tried talking to the staff about our issue but neither one tried to make it right. We even asked for the owner name but they told us they didn’t know the name. Highly disappointed and very terrible service.

Very nice spot to stay in Clearwater. Not on the main strip so it was quiet but close enough to walk to food and shopping. It is an older property so it doesn’t have the look and feel as the new hotel chains that have been built around there but was very nice and would stay there again. Staff was very friendly and helped with any request we had. The view of the bay from the balcony is beautiful.

Not a bad hotel for location and price
It was OK. We didn't stay in the room except to sleep. The toilet didn't flush well. The handle was cracked. The faucet for the shower was hard to turn on and felt like it was going to break. Other then that, it was pretty clean and the AC worked perfectly! The light on the shower didn't work. We never used the fridge, microwave, coffee pot or TV. You could see some places where the ceiling had water leaks but all this would not prevent us from staying again. We definitely would!

Very nice place. Very clean!!! Comfortable bed! Nice deck overlooking marina. Friendly staff! Some have been there for 17 yrs. But need up grades. The chairs on deck are cheap and very uncomfortable. The chairs inside room are great for sitting at table to eat. But trying to relax and watch TV is impossible. The price is right. You get what you pay for.

Everything about this property is excellent! Do NOT let the looks of the outside of the building fool you! This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The views were spectacular. The room was very clean and the best part is the balcony overlooking the bay! Staff treated us like family and check in was a breeze! I can go on and on about this place but please visit for yourself you will not be disappointed! I plan on returning very soon!! Thank you Chart House Suites for an amazing experience!

Clean, Convenient and Quiet but a little Old
We were so pleasantly surprised with this resort. I called ahead to let them know I would be bringing my Service Animal and they were quick to accommodate us with an ADA friendly room on the 1st floor. It was an upgrade but they honored our rate and didn't charge extra. The suite had a full kitchen and the room was extremely spacious for a family of 4. The resort was super clean and the location is gorgeous and convenient for the price paid. They gave us an extra hour to check out the day of departure because one of my children didn't feel well and asked us multiple times if we needed anything.
The only complaint we had was that the room was outdated. There was rust on the outside of the fridge but it worked perfectly fine. Some of the kitchen accessories were missing or overused. The shower had cracks in the floor pan and it leaked out into the bedroom under the wall through the grout a little bit. The checkout desk closes at 6pm so you can't get towels or ask questions after that time.
If they did a little updating on the property it would be just phenomenal.

Staff was professional, nice and eager to answer any questions that we may have had. Our bay view was identical to the picture on the site. Beach and restaurants were 25 minute walk, 10-12 minute Uber ride.
Wifi connection on TV didn’t work so Netflix and other apps on TV didn’t work. Luckily, there was basic cable.
***Biggest Cons***
There was a old smelly odor in our room; we bought an air freshener and it was fine.
The room was very outdated! Carpet, tables, chairs, nightstands, curtains and even the balcony door was very old and on its last leg. They definitely camouflaged those flaws in the pictures online.
Fridge was very cold, microwave and toaster worked properly.
Bathroom: We were only able to use one shower head setting (the full force) because all of the other options caused water leakage. Shower wall had a few cracks in it and you can tell someone made an attempt to piece it back together, it just wasn’t a professional.
There was definitely a few issues with the room but we made it work since we booked the room last minute and our options were limited. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

Everything about Chart House Inn &Suites was outstanding! The property manager Sam was personable, friendly and helpful, we had never met such a great hotel manager before. The entire property was very clean and well kept and our suite was great, roomy, well furnished and had the most amazing balcony overlooking the marina! The facility is a little off the beaten path so is peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk to restaurants, the beach and attractions. All in all one of the best places we've ever stayed at...we will be back!!

Older hotel but has charm and is wonderfully located.. stayed a couple days with kids and we had a great time. Check out Sand key beach, 5 buck all day parking and it’s about 5 min drive from the hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Clearwater Beach! Everything was perfect! Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. We even walked to the beach and Pier 60. But far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Right on the bay. We even rented jet skies on the property. The room was spectacular as was the staff (Sam)! We are already planning our return.

The room was nice and the bed was comfy. I had a beautiful view of the Marina. I walked to the beach which was about a 30 minute walk- it was a perfect distance because it’s tucked away and nice and quiet. The service was friendly and welcoming! I would recommend for sure!

This is an amazing little piece of heaven! Cute, comfortable hotel right on Clearwater Bay. In walking distance to food and some shops. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a bay view. Staff is very pleasant, leaves at 5; but called us before leaving to ensure we had instructions on accessing our room and if anything else was needed for our stay. This was a quick one night, much needed get away and was well worth it. I would definitely return.

Relaxing Oasis
We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. From the location to the view. This is a cute smaller hotel with motel vibes. The room was very clean and quiet. The location is in a very quiet area so relaxing was a breeze. We loved waking up in the morning and walking right out of our sliding door to a beautiful view of the bay. The owner Sam was such a delight and you can tell she takes pride in her beautiful hotel. This is walking distance to a few restaurants and bars, but If you want to make your way down the island we found that the AVA stop was only a few steps away and would take us down further for free! We are definitely coming back and staying here for our next trip to Clearwater.

Chart House is like one of those original one of a kind motels. Nice sized rooms, balconies, very comfortable. Down a road connected to the hot spots but off the beaten path. You can watch pelicans fly over all day long. Our room was on the end, facing the street, but we could look around the corner at the marina.

Quiet location near active beach.
Located at the quiet end of Clearwater Beach, walkable to restaurants and beach, easy parking, amazing view, huge sliding glass doors out to balcony with table and chairs, we were pleased overall. The queen bed was adequately comfortable but nothing to rave about. Poor bathroom lighting and tired bathroom condition, but clean.

Sam was a great host with the best recommendations for places to eat/visit. Hospitality is off the charts which makes up for the facility being a bit outdated. The location is perfect. Walk to dozens of restaurants, beach, etc... It is quiet, peaceful location on the water. Hope to be back again soon.

Perfect location for exploring Clearwater Beach and surrounding area. Very quite area, no noise or traffic. Older hotel is not perfect, but it’s location on the bay can’t be beat.

My friend and I stayed at Chart House Suites and were happy with our stay. The staff members at the front desk were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit dated and you can see signs of wear, however, it was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. It also had a mini fridge and microwave. We heard our neighbors a couple of times in the early evening but it wasn't bad at all. Small pool, but we were able to grab chairs with no problem. It's on the far end of the main strip, but we were able to walk within a mile to the shopping and restaurants we wanted to check out. It was very easy to grab an Uber for anything that was further away. There are two cool little bars within a 3ish minute walk - Gerstle's and The Brown Boxer. If you're looking for a clean and quiet place to stay that won't break the bank, I'd recommend it here.

Great location, right on the water and away from the crowd, however, the walls are paper thin and you can literally hear everything in the next room - people talking, snoring and watching TV was the same experience as if they were in our room. Sound insulation is definitely desired, but being an older building, it is what it is. Overall a nice place and great staff.

Sam at the front desk was truly amazing and one of the nicest people you'll meet in Clearwater. With that being said, that was the only good thing about my stay, unfortunately. The room was clean, however, not at all what I expected per pictures/description. My "bay view" consist of boats docked right at my sliding door and not upper level as shown, noise of folks talking as they walked the deck to their boats along with dogs, sounded like they were coming to my room for a visit (thank goodness I was there off peak during a weekday; bed was very low with a hard mattress and the toilet was also very low. I'm not tall (5ft 4in) and the level of this toilet reminded me of my elementary school teaching days. Perfect height for kindergarteners. I feel sorry for an average size man or an elderly person to use it. Definitely needs to be replaced/updated. Hotel is in a very congested areas which takes away from relaxation feeling. I regret leaving Maderia Beach to come to Clearwater.

In Town for a Concert
I was in the Clearwater area for a concert at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Clearwater and wanted a relaxing place to stay that was within easy driving distance of the venue. Chart House Suites was a very good choice, as it was only about a 5-minute drive to the theatre. Sam (the owner?) was exceptionally helpful during my two-night stay and gave wonderful recommendations for local eateries within walking distance. The room itself was fine, with a balcony overlooking the street; I'll assume there were rooms on the other side of the building that had prettier balcony views of the water. The room was clean and comfortable, although to call it a "suite" is a bit of a stretch; it was a hotel room. While I was overall very pleased with my room, I will say that the shower was dated and had the smallest "bath" towels I have ever encountered. The area around the hotel seemed safe and was very quiet; I had no fears about walking around, even at night. Thanks, Sam, for a very comfortable experience.

The property is located on the bay and has a nice view. The front desk while she was there was friendly and informative, however we needed clean sheets and she had signed off for the day. There wasn't anyone on property to give us new sheets as our sheets were not so clean (hairs from previous guests :( Touch ups and basic upkeep would help this property.
