Luxor cleaning Staff not prioritizing customers to enter the elevator. My daughter and I were in the lobby elevator first waiting for the elevator then group of cleaning crew (8-15) came and immediately entered the elevator ending us to wait for the elevator.

Checked in 02/03/2024, tv wasn’t working kept losing signal went to check the box found cockroaches and eggs behind the tv. Then later saw some crawling up the walls and in the bathroom. Had to throw away my son’s candy due to them crawling inside. Absolutely DISGUSTING!

There are better options out there, I promise.
If you’re someone who can rationalize saving money on a Vegas hotel room because you won’t really be spending much time in it anyway, then the Luxor is fine. On the surface it looks nice, but if you look a little closer, you start to notice the dust on the lamps, the paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling, the popcorn ceilings, and the outdated decor. Also, if you get a room in the “Purple” tower, beware the first elevator on the left: it is so rickety and temperamental that on more than one occasion I thought I was going to get stuck.
The restaurants are basic and a rip off, but I guess at least they have *THREE* Starbucks restaurants, so there’s that.
I came for a wedding and was happy to be in proximity to others in attendance, but I will avoid this place in the future.

One evening the WHOLE luxor tv and internet out
Pool closed....need to walk 30 min. to Mandalay HOTEL to share a pool 6 elevators 4 stopped to save money
CHECK out at 9 am..(give yourself 30 min.) CHECK in continous the WHOLE DAY...and had 6 people in front of me checking in and only 3 people working

The directions provided to locate the tower were unclear, causing confusion for me in finding it. An elderly gentleman, dressed in the hotel uniform, attempted to assist, but his presence made me and my family somewhat uncomfortable. Despite informing him that I could navigate to my desired floor using the elevator, he continued to follow me, leaving me uncertain about his actual affiliation with the hotel staff. Upon realizing that he had seen my room number, I approached the front desk for assistance in changing to a different room. Initially reluctant, the staff member at the front desk finally accommodated my request after hearing the full story. However, the new room I was given was extremely noisy and lacked proper maintenance in the hallway. Overall, the entire experience of staying at that hotel was highly unpleasant.

Only 2 out of 4 elevators worked. Had to wait 15 -20 minutes because of this and elevators were always packed. Public bathrooms dirty and had graffiti written on or etched into doors

We had a very nice room and bathroom, apparently recently renovated. The ability to walk indoors to Mandalay Bay for our show made our evening, SO nice to leave the car parked until we left the next day. We would definitely stay again!

Overall the hotel was as clean as you could expect for any budget resort in Vegas. There were a few hidden fees at check in and parking was expensive. Elevators were finicky and sketchy. Won’t stay there again.

We stayed at the Luxor about 7 years ago. Experience was nothing like it was before. Hotel looked a run down and cheap. No hand soap (used body gel from shower). No room refrigerator. Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling off. Carpet was old looking and deteriorated. I was also charged some facility fee at time of check in I wasn’t told about after all the fees I was charged when the reservation was made. Probably won’t stay here again. Most likely won’t use Hotels.com anymore.

Nice clean room but I missed my flight and was still charged for a whole day and night that I didn’t stay. A nice hotel but my room didn’t have a refrigerator no microwave and I couldn’t watch nothing on TV do to the signal kept failing

We had an excellent experience at the Luxor. We were on the tenth floor behind one of the pillars. Room was quiet, clean, and no pests. We enjoyed eating our breakfast at the Pyramid Cafe and visiting the various exhibits within the hotel itself.
The only thing that we were annoyed with had nothing to do with the Luxor, its facilities, or staff at all. On the casino floor, there is a timeshare sales stand. The employees of this business were a constant bother whenever we walked by and aggressive in their marketing tactics. Again, this is not the Luxor's business, but having these salespeople in their casino does detract from the experience.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!

I love the theme of the hotel but dislike the cable on tv, some of the employees having a bad attitude, the over price cost of everything for everything and the $50 deposit a day they charge and it does not go immediately back on your credit card after you checkout

Staff were extremely rude and dismissive. When i checked in i tried to ask how to get to my elevator and the girl at the counter waved off. The next two people i tried to talk to also wanted nothing to do with me. Once i did find where i was going about 20 minutes later, i find some of the most run down and unsafe elevators i have ever seen

Pool closed even though it was 71F. 15 minute walk from parking to the silver elevator. Long check in lines so used the digital .app. Only worked in1 elevator that we tried but got us to our room. Second try we could not get it to work anywhere so had to go to the desk and line up for a key card. Upgraded our suite in the tower only to find that we were on the 3rd floor of a 20 story tower with the casino roof at our window and the pyramid side for a view. Will look anywhere else next time.

I would like to say our stay was good and I would come back. However, I few things need to be addressed. The Gold Tower 4th elevators were not working properly. We told 3 people and they acted like they did not care. We tried the stairs and got trapped in a stairwell. Nightmare!
Kitty at the front desk was the BEST customer service so I have hope in the Luxor. She listened. She cared. She apologized. She immediately changed our room to the other tower. Because of her excellent customer service I would come back. Now we get to the other room and the bath drain does not close and the shower is leaking. The Bell desk did not answer the phone in the morning for at least 15 min. I ended up carry all my luggage myself. I am not one to complain but maybe make them more aware when we are catching flights we have to get going..Anyway, thank you Rita Price Julie Morrow

Memorable for all the wrong reasons
My friend and I stayed two nights in a pyramid room with two queen beds. We chose the pyramid due to the novelty of it. The Luxor is such a quintessential Vegas hotel, and since this was our first time in the city, we figured it would be memorable — and it was, but not for the right reasons. Our room was filthy, the furniture was dated, and the carpet and curtains reeked of cigarettes. There was also no mini fridge, several of the dresser drawers were broken, and the contact points in the many of the electrical outlets' receptacles were loose, which meant it was difficult to find places to charge our phones. The bathroom was okay and the bedding was comfortable, but the AC made the room too cold or too hot. There was truly no in-between. Outside of the room, we found the elevators too shaky and the layout of the structure confusing to navigate. Overall, my friend and I had a poor stay. If I ever rebook in the future, I will plan to get a room in one of the suites higher up in the pyramid or perhaps try the tower instead.

The property itself is great, sadly we had a problem with our aircon unit and at 3:15am it started to rattle. I called the front desk and they were going to send someone. The unit then stopped making a noise so I called an l to say not to worry. 4am it started again so I called back and they said they would send maintenance straight away, no one ever came. The following night at 3am it started again even thought I’d turned the unit off.

The Luxor itself is an amazing Las Vegas experience. The staff and Pit Bosses are some of the nicest and friendliest I've encountered. The exhibits (Titanic, King Tuts Tomb) were more than I expected. With that said....The rooms are very very outdated. The nightstand lamps didn't work, The shower pressure was disappointing to say the least. The shower bottom was as slick as the iceburg in the Titanic exhibit. Wall paper peeling all over the guest room floors and elevator landings, broken elevator buttons... Very disappointing for a Las Vegas resort... Take my advice and stay at another resort and just visit the Luxor casino and exhibits.

Worn Down Hotel and Mgt. seems content with this
Worn out hotel, clean but run down.
Cons:
Dirty common area like finger prints all over elevator doors, windows, chipped paint, stains. Just looks like management has given up.
Warning your window may be covered by advertising on the outside obscuring your view - that you’re paying for.
Hotel also has a high resort fee ($42) that provides you next to nothing.
If your looking for Egyptian theming management seems to have given up on that as well with random attractions and bars that have nothing to do one another.
Seems like management has all but given up on the hotel and just waiting for it to crumble.
Pros:
The rooms are quiet, the hotel is quiet.
Well themed buffet in the basement that’s worth going to.

Very nice but too big for senior citizens.
Stayed in the Luxor Tower. Very nice room with a king sized bed. Room service cleaned and replaced or bath towels everyday. Hotel was a little big for us because of our age. Food prices were a little high. Suggest walking over to the Mandalay Bay. They have better prices. The downside to us was being confronted by the staff offering free gifts or discount prices for shows only to find out them trying to sell you timeshare packages.

After 3 days with no service and not even a knock to see if we wanted service. I had to call on the third day 3 times. Our garbage was full, we needed towels, toilet paper and bedding changed. I thought this was odd especially since the housekeeper was 2 doors down from our room but didn’t bother to check on us.

We have been to Vegas 10 times, but never spent much time at the Luxor. Our room in the Pyramid was standard, maybe a little outdated, but clean, quiet and convenient. The view from the 27th floor was beautiful.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was nice but for an accessible room to be in the east tower on the 19th floor was a bit odd. The casino was a 15 minute walk for me. also, on the atrium level, there is no exit for someone with a disability except for one small elevator. It just so happens. The elevator wasn't working when I was on the atrium level so I had to use the escalator with my partner holding my walker.

Hidden fees!!! Also though we asked for non smoking we were given a ground level that led out to the casino where smoke came into our room every time you open the door! Then pay extra for a king suite that plumbing didn’t work, they did construction outside our room with no warning or apologies. Just over all lousy stay for the money paid!

Checked in and i got a different room from what I pay and upgraded to when booking. The room smelled like cigarettes and ac was broken and blowing out hot air. I was told they were all booked and could not be given another room. Next day “still all booked” so yeah I had to stay in that room for 3 days.

i will stay again in luxor, not only hotel registration folks were so attentive, and so can work very fast, before I knew we were already in. our room relaxing , NOT LIKE CEAZAR’s Palace , OMG i don’t know what’s that dept was doing ,so many guests and line was so crazy and each Registration clerk was taking hella long for one customer or party , and most of the time everyone goes at the back to take a break or whatever they were doing , come on busy days like that New Year’s Eve weekend , ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE WAS REGISTERING GUESTS AND WORST , they don’t give a freaking $..hit , we were late but we called in to be, we arrived 12/29/2023 @11:30 PM and we got done registering and crash in our room like almost 2AM , we were so tired standing in the line , i hope many put they’re comments because many were pissed

I like the ability to check in on a mobile app. There was a cockroach in my hotel room that my husband didn’t tell me about until after we checked out because he knew that I would freak out about it.

I wouldnt recommend to stay here, its an outdated property, even though they said they did renovations, its still very outdated. I have never been to a hotel where your keycard only allows you to go to your floor and no other floor. We were a party of 13, and we had 5 rooms across different floors, so if you had to go to another persons room that was above your floor, the only option was to take the stairs...how bizzare!!! The TV in my room worked, kind of, some channels had volume while others didnt, that was pretty frustrating. The only positive was the shower water pressure, it was nice. But I will never stay here again.

The Luxor is n average hotel for nowadays standards..a little outdated and needs to be maintained better. Dripping toilet and rattling furnace door were disturbing. Dirty patio near outdoor pool/smoking area and broken elevator buttons are a few examples. Good selection of restaurants and entertainment though.

Too outdated '"time to remodel" Elevators were not working,
15 floors and one working elevator. lines were too long to go up, and it took forever for the elevator to come to go down.
