We had pleasant experiences staying at the hotel. It was clean and staff were very friendly and the swimming pool and hot tub was very nice except the swimming pool was little cold for my kids to swim around but we stayed in hot tub.

Stay 5 night with my in laws (>80 old) and kids. Excellent choice! We loved that they have a big kitchen, dining area, 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms.
Feel safe because parking gate is closed at night. Staff was very nice. Definitely will stay again.

This property is amazing it is perfect for families. Has everything you need in a room all the amenities you need to cook. The plus side was there was a washer and dryer in the room. We have found our place to stay when we are in Las Vegas.

Avoid this for health reasons
Avoid this place, carpet was seriously worn out, room was smelly and stains all over the furniture and carpet was absolutely nasty.
Seriously got the itch being in the room and immediately checked out.

A pleasant vacation experience. Felt like an actual home in a gated community. spacious, warm and comfy. few minutes away from the strip is a plus, and very close to convenience stores, groceries and restaurants.
No complaints, except that we were talked into attending a presentation at another resort, Hilton Cancun. The front desk lady explained that the Hotel was recently taken over and so they’re trying to get long time guests, and get us recommend them/stay again in the future. We agreed to go, cause she was really nice.
It turned out to be a Hilton timeshare sales presentation to be a Hilton owner. We told them it was a great opportunity, but we weren’t interested. Told them over and over again, but they still insisted continuously to consider the opportunity as it was “only for today”. The sales people literally adjusted their offer 8 times with various payment plans. Despite the explanation over and over that we weren’t interested and it’s not in our budget, THEY PERSISTED! It was quite uncomfortable.
Other than that, Desert Retreat is definitely a very cool place to vacation when in Vegas.

I was concerned when booking this hotel, but it was very highly rated. It was all real. The rooms are very stylish and incredibly clean. The kitchen is very useful. There are washing machines and dryers that were shocking when we entered the room. The reception staff are very kind, for example Sabrina and Charles are completely focused on problem solving. I would like to thank all the hotel staff for the 5 days I spent there. I recommend the hotel to everyone.

Spacious apartment.
Good things: older apartments that have been renovated.
Spacious 1 bedroom, washer & dryer, new furniture, new kitchen & bath. For our December visit the pool & hot tub were heated, a big plus over some hotels.
Negative: We has a 2nd floor unit. New carpet but they did not replace the subfloor plywood, Every step squeaked and in sever places felt like a "hole" where you could fall into the unit below.

Excellent private grounds that are quiet. Beds are comfy and suites are roomy and clean. Unfortunately the on-site dining and shuttle service we once enjoyed has been discontinued... plan on renting a car or becoming very familiar with uber / lyft / taxi services since this location is not very walk- friendly.

Family Trip
Check in was easy. Was accommodated with a first floor upon request which was very beneficial. The staff was welcoming.
The grounds were well kept swimming pools were heated but not to a level that could be enjoyed with the climate in the upper 50s. The room was very spacious. We stayed in a two bedroom as our granddaughter had traveled with us. It had everything you could need during your stay. Two of the tv remotes did not work so we used the same remote for all three tvs. We kept finding random screws in the floor under the chairs in the eating area, only to find out they were falling out of the chair. They were left on the table upon checkout. Now the bad, the complex is on a busy street and we were in the very front room. Traffic noise is very bad all night long. By adding a block wall around the entire complex would help at leat for the ground floor. Also vehicles waiting for their Dutch Bros coffee played loud music throughout the day. The floors were dirty as we walked with no house shoes on was very apparent when showering as our foot prints were left in the tub. Had to resort to wearing flop flops or socks the entire stay. Knowing these shortcomings i would have brought a swiffer mop with me. Ensure you ask for an inner apartment to block the outside noisees. Overall great stay, will return as it is off the strip but close enough that it takes less than 10 minutes to fet to.

Amazing stay for family

We stayed in a two bedroom unit for five days and for length of our stay it was very comfortable and convenient that we had a full kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and three double beds!
The apartment is very spacious and clean. The drive to strip was only 7 to 8 minutes. I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

We have been coming to this place for around 10 years. The only issue in the one we stayed in is that the kitchen taps leaked need replacing. Our stay was excellent and staff very friendly.

This place is worth the price vs some expensive airbnbs. You have your own private apartment with washer and dryer. Comes with amenities and the place is gated so it’s more secure. The pools are amazing as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was fabulous. It's not far away from the strip by car or rideshare. It's quiet and the convenience of it being near to some restaurants/fast food chains is just perfect.
My only concern was the suite floor. When we got in to our suite and walked with our socks on, we noticed that our socks got dirty. Good thing we brought our indoor slippers for use. Or else you will be sleeping with a dirty feet all the time.
Othern than the concern, the place is nice and comfortable to stay. It's like staying at your own home.

it is a nice resort, where close to the strip though not on the strip, the WIFI was spotty and erratic , but I am told that the hotel is currently ugrading its IT infrastructure , very helpful and friendly staff, reasonable prices .

Nice property, clean gym, nice bedrooms with new appliances. Loved it was gated. Only thing is the harassment before check out. Called me then somebody came to our door all within 10 minutes but 20 minutes to check out. Other then okay it was great but the lady at the black lady at the desk apologized and said we were ok.

Fantastic.
Best place we’ve stayed in Vegas. We had a family (three teenagers) for a baseball tournament, and the extra room and spacious layout made the trip great. Would highly recommend. Pillows and beds were super comfortable, stocked kitchen made breakfast and late night snacks easy.

This was a 2 bedroom condo and was perfect for my family of 4. This was a home away from home and it was equipped with all the necessities. The welcome package included learming about how to score 4 tix to any show from a list..for $50. In teturn we had to attend a timeshare presentation at another Hilton property. The timeshare ownership was enticing and we got through 3 reps who shared their great deals. However we did not sign up to become owners. If i won the PowerBall or Mega millions, i would definitely become a member. The property was awesome and i would stay here again. I kearnt at the TS presentation that Hilton will no longer rent to non owners as of 2024.

Great location close to main roads but also walkable to restaurants/711/etc, lovely big suites, well designed and laid out with plenty of options for a longer term stay. Kitchen well supplied. Front desk staff lovely and super helpful on every question.

Nice clean property, friendly helpful staff except for the concierge. They try to get you to go to a sales pitch for the new Hilton property on the Las Vegas strip. That’s what your “welcome package “ is, a sales pitch from Jay. I didn’t mind getting the offer, I guess he has a job to do but he got pure snotty when he couldn’t convince me to do the 2 hour pitch at another location. Was pointing out a few things in the tourism booklet and then slid it across the counter mid sentence and said “here, you seem to have it all figured out “. This just lowered my opinion of an otherwise excellent place to stay.

Our stay was amazing. We come every year for the drag races, usually on the strip. We have kids with us. Loved how safe we felt, the pool open late. We always get sad when the strips on the pool close early. The fact that we could sit in the hot tub after the races was amazing. So quiet and safe. Billards room was a bonus and our room was accessible to the pool.

No smoking on balcony.
A little off the beaten track, probably would have been OK if it wasn't for all the roadworks going on due to the upcoming Grand Prix. I usually travel around using local buses, but it took at least twice as long to get anywhere. Felt like I was spending 25% of my holiday trying to get anywhere. Probably would have been the same if I was driving.
Desert Retreat is like a condo with kitchen, dining area, living room and a nice balcony. I was a bit disappointed that you couldn't smoke on balcony, although they did have three designated areas within the grounds. A few little things that I found needed to be addressed, no electric kettle (which seems to be the norm in US), no magnifying mirror to put make up on, no soap dish, no recycling bags (was told someone sorts through trash bags?), and lastly a couple of cushions on the settee would have made it a little comfier.
On the whole I would definitely recommend the Desert Retreat, just don't go in the lead up to the G.P.
I definitely couldn't praise the staff more, especially Front Desk. I lost/had my phone stolen the second day I was there while out and about, Front Desk staff went above and beyond with they're helpfulness and kindness.

There was a mix up the first night but the took care of us at their sister resort and we checked in the following day. Everything was great, loved that there was an adults only pool area. Will definitely be back again. Just wish they did airport shuttle it would have been perfect.

Fantastic stay
We loved this property, our stay was awesome! We loved the gated access, we loved the pools, the security guard Dean was awesome, He would always stop and say hello. Staff was super friendly. The mattress had no life left in the springs. And the bedding felt like 180 grit sandpaper. Everything else was perfect!

We Absolutely enjoyed our stay here and the shuttle to the strip was clutch! We didn't have to drive at all and could stay on the strip as long as we wanted to and had transportation back. We also loved our room, it was hard to not want to stay in there the entire day. When we return to Vegas, we will be staying here again!

Probably the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at and we’ve been to tons. Just amazingly spacious units with a great kitchen and amenities, awesome bed and bathroom. Our family has health related challenges that make travel difficult sometimes. This property works great for us. Kitchen has what we need to prepare food on our own. (The knives aren’t exactly sharp but usable, really the only complaint about the whole place). My son loved the pool and hot tub. The staff helped us select a quiet room perfect for resting after the medics appointment we traveled for. We were very happy here. Would recommend to anyone.

I would definitely recommend this property . If you’re looking for someplace other than the busy strip, this is the place for you. Excellent shuttle service to the grocery store or the strip. The pool areas are well kept and so much fun. We used the bbq daily and they were awesome. The rooms are very well equipped for all your needs. The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom rooms were perfect for all our needs. Full kitchen well equipped , living room and balcony

We had a comfortable stay overall. The grounds are well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. We've stayed here several times before. This year though the air conditioners are set at 70 & will not go any lower. I know that sounds cold, but I would've set it lower if I could have, it still felt warm inside at times. Also the carpets needed a deeper vacuuming. My feet would get dirty and then get the tub dirty with footprints. Other than that, the kitchen is very nice & well stocked. The bed is very comfortable, and all the rooms are spacious

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family of six, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Here's a breakdown of our stay:
Room Size: The room we stayed in was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our family of six. We appreciated having enough room to move around without feeling cramped.
Noise Level: The units were surprisingly quiet at night, which made for peaceful and restful sleep. This was a big plus, especially with kids.
Amenities: The hotel's amenities were quite impressive. We particularly enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which were clean and well-maintained. It was a great way to relax after a day of exploring.
Tourist Assistance: The tourist information lady was helpful and respectful. She provided us with valuable insights about the town and its attractions, even though we declined to participate in a share-time sit-down presentation.
BBQ Section: We appreciated the BBQ section, but there was a slight hiccup. When we tried to start the BBQ, we were initially told that maintenance staff wouldn't assist. We followed the instructions but had to go back inside twice for clarification. Eventually, the front desk lent us their personal lighter, which resolved the issue. It would have been more convenient if maintenance had been available to assist.
Taxi Service: We encountered some challenges with the hotel's taxi service. Despite clearly stating that we needed transportation for a party of six, we had difficulty getting enough seats in the taxis ordere

Great time! Service was amazing! They do ask you if you want to do a timeshare but they’re not pushy about it. If you just tell them no, you should be good.
Room was amazing! We had a whole kitchen, living room area, large room with walk-in closet, and a nice size bathroom with a larger bathtub as well as a patio area. Everything was very clean!
Felt very safe in this resort and it is gated so it’s even better
