The rooms was super awesome. We stayed in the suite it fit five people. The only thing was the pool was really dirty someone definitely needs to keep up with that pool. That’s why we got the hotel so the kids could go swimming so that was very inconvenient.

The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The common areas and room were clean. Hot water and shower pressure was fantastic. Well appointed with Dove products and complementary toothbrushes, tooth paste, make up remover and mouthwash in bathroom. Room was large. We did not visit pool, fitness room or complementary breakfast. Downsides: room location across from elevator where pop music played from a speaker 24/7 loud enough to hear in our room and the lobby markets entire stock consisted of laundry detergent, playing cards, poker chips and lollipops. (-; Overall would definitely stay again just request a room farther from the elevator and bring our snacks.

The young lady at the desk at check in was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but there was another guest who had their TV or some kind of audio equipment very loud until about 2am. Did not call the desk due to the volume was turned down.
If I stay at this hotel again will ask for 3rd floor not first floor room.

The staff was very helpful when we asked to switch rooms due to the fan unit being too loud and the cleanliness of the first room. I definitely think the cost is a bit expensive for what you get but that seems to be the case everywhere unless you settle for something on the very low end and then you don't know what you're in for. Over all not a terrible stay.

A very nice room, clean and comfortable, very pleasant after a day on the road. Also very pleasant staff. And love the tall toilet in the bathroom, a nice change from the low type in most hotels.

Hotel was noisy as they had a group of soccer kids . They completely took over the dining area leaving no space for other guests. Breakfast was lacking food as it was not replenished for a while once the soccer team was there . The waffle machine was broken the entire time I was there .one of the staff did not speak English at all .2am and people walking back and forth .Bed was super comfortable. Staff sprayed some sort of spray in my room which left a disgusting film on mirrors, dresser and tv . No clue what it was . Otherwise the hotel room was very clean .The tub did not drain therefore filling the bath while taking a shower . Hotel was close to everything. Staff always greeted the customers.

The over all hotel was pretty good. My only complaint was that it took at least 10-15 minutes before the shower would get hot. First day the hot water was room temperature at best. It wasn’t to the end of the shower that the water final got hot.

It's a fairly new building but they are doing a poor job with room maintenance. I didn't have hot water in my bathroom sink, my window was leaking due to rain and the pull chain for the privacy blinds was broken.

Good bargain
Clean. Can tell it has been refreshed. Breakfast had lots of options. Nothing within walking but plenty in a 10-15 minute drive. It was quiet even though a softball team was staying.

Checked in and Noticed no hot water in sink . Figured call in the morning had event to go to. Phone was broken. Has to use cell to call front desk. Said aware no hot water in some rooms but put us in that room anyway. Sink leaked all over counter so couldn’t put any toiletries on it. Had to go down hall to another bathroom for a shower after insisting I can’t take cold shower. They apologized but didn’t seem to care “oh you booked with a third party” so I don’t get hot water !

Checkin was cumbersome as there was only a single person at desk dealing with a flurry of incoming guests. Also, there were about 30 incoming guests clamoring around the front desk speaking at ridiculously high decibels. I couldn’t even hear your agent. And she had no help ushering theses folks to a less invasive area. Nonetheless, the room was tidy and comfortable. The big HOWEVER, though, is there was no hot water in the AM so showers before the event we were attending were a non-starter. THAT was really depressing. I feel we should be compensated for that.

Front desk personnel were unfriendly.
NO greeting when we first entered hotel….I had to interrupt front desk employee from
their long conversation with another employee to ask if we could check-in and if our room was ready. (early check-in, please and thank-you!)
They were going to check to see if they could get us into a different room and promised to call us with status. They never did. After an hour we had to call the front desk to check on the status of early check-in only to be told “we checked you in an hour ago”...but they didn't bother to contact us and let us know! One of the front desk employees got testy with me when I asked WHY she didn't call us back about changing rooms. She said she gave my husband the needed information but my husband said that never happened!
Upon entering the room we noticed it WAS NOT a suite! There was no separate bedroom with a door to close off the rest of the room. There was NO “kitchen area.” No sink….only a mini fridge and microwave like all the other NON-SUITE rooms!
The room was extremely dark. There was no way to turn on a light over the microwave or coffee maker to see what we were doing. I went down to the front desk to ask about lighting and if they could please give us a small lamp to put over the microwave and were told NO; this is what all the HIE rooms have and they could not add anything else to any rooms.

Two night stay
Location was convenient and clean. Our room temperature was set at 60 when we arrived and it took 24 hours to come up to 70. Tough being cold for the first day. It's summer so I didn't have a sweater. And the clock was not set to the correct time. If the staff can not set the time on the clock, what makes them think I can.

I went to check in and they told us the pool was not open.. since we had a child with us that was so looking forward to the pool… we were extremely disappointed ! They told us to go to the BW in Dartmouth.
We did and it was a terrible experience!!
They put us in rooms on different floors. I had a handicap room. Door wouldn’t close properly, had to get them to fix the TV and it smelled musty. Also was very loud. Breakfast was only until 9am.. very early!
Just a terrible experience! Not happy at all. This was supposed to be a last minute getaway for our Granddaughter.

Property needs to be updated and renovated. Breakfast was poor, several appliances were not working, and some days they shut down breakfast early! Room size was large which left lots of empty space in the room and walls needed decorations/mirrors/pictures. Breakfast staff was unfriendly.

No Hot Water, Don’t eat the Muffins, broken faucet
Upon my Check- In at the front desk, I was asked to wait for an experienced staffer to arrive to check me in because the clerk explained she was a “Trainee” and wasn’t able to check me in. She was unfriendly and just looked down and counted her change drawer for the 10 minutes that I was standing there. Once I did check in and was in the room, I noticed the Bathroom Sink faucet was extremely loose as if broken. No Hot Water for the Whole Duration of my stay!! Why didn’t I report this? I had walked by the front desk to report it, only to see the Trainee there and didn’t feel confident that she could help me, after my previous experience with her. I am extremely upset about the No Hot Water for the Duration of my stay, as I paid $238.00 for the One Night room and had no Hot Water the whole time!! For Breakfast the next morning, I took a pre packaged apple muffin and after having taken a bite, I realized it had gone Rotten in the package! I was not able to finish the muffin, let alone the Bite I had taken! I did let the staffer who was attending to the Breakfast know that I think the Muffins went bad! Don’t take room number 117 near the Ice machine, as we kept hearing weird noises through the walls and we would later figure out was the Ice dispensing! Extremely disappointing stay. Will be requesting a refund.

The shower was in poor condition. The diverter was stuck, the showerhead and the tub downspout were frighteningly loose, and the ceiling in the hotel room had been recently repaired, but not to a workmanlike standard. The HVAC was good, and the lighting was good. The bed was comfortable, and the furnishings were recent.

Our room keys were deactivated 3 times in 2 days, pool water was freezing. Ran out of breakfast food on our second day. Shower handle was loose and could not easily control temperature. Lastly, greeting at the front desk was less than friendly. I’ll leave it at that

I had a terrible experience with the room upstairs from me. All afternoon into night all I heard was stomping and jumping so bad it rattled the ceiling (so bad the water in my water bottle was shaking). From afternoon until last I looked at the clock was 1am. Then I woke up at 4am to more. I managed to get a couple hours of sleep if I was lucky because I was purely exhausted.
The staff was nice and so was the amenities. Just wish I was able to get more sleep than I did. I came home drained and more exhausted than when I left for the hotel.

We were about ten minutes from the hotel at about 3pm. I received a voice message from them saying they overbooked the hotel and had to cancel our reservation. Thankfully i didn’t pick up and when i got there ten minutes later they kept the reservation.
There was no hot water in the morning and there were multiple people that complained about this and nothing was done.
I asked to talk to the manager and she said he was on his way and he would call me when he arrived. Needless to say i never received the call.
Very disappointed with holiday inn. Avoid this specific holiday inn.

We were greeted by friendly staff, the room was a great size and very clean. Jay one of the hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was super convenient just wish it ran till 11am. It was hard making it by 9:30. But my overall stay was very pleasant and I would definitely stay there again. Great location as well.

We booked HIEHS Swansea to attend a nearby family event. It was just what we needed: nothing luxurious, just clean, basic accommodations at a good price point. Room decor was modern and in good condition; amenities provided were simple but sufficient. Staff was pleasant and friendly; front desk personnel were regular folks, not some of the smiling corporate robots you'd find at some hotel chains. The only area that could use a bit of improvement was the bed. Coupled with the round-trip drive from and back to Long Island, my poor, old, achin' back was a bit worse for the wear for a few days afterwards. But in the aggregate, a good stay.

Never, ever again. The hotel is generally dirty & run down - but our room was worse. We couldn't turn off the "accent lighting" above one of our beds and closet (none of the switches worked), the lamps in between the beds had no bulbs, the power panel with USB ports was non-functioning, pieces of the HVAC unit were broken off and laying on the floor and there were bugs on the beds and the bathroom (can't claim they were actual bed bugs - but bugs are bugs!). Disgusting property and the IHG group needs to intervene; ownership of this property clearly doesn't care about it.

The stay was all right. I happen to stay here on a Monday then again on a Thursday. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The tv is very small and i had to turn it on from the back. The remote was missing cover and tv didn't have much channels. Also, the tv was glitching in and out. The complimentary breakfast is nice to have however, it was horrible. The food was not hot, pancake maker wasn't working. The taste and quality of the eggs,sausage,etc. was very poor.

Staff was friendly and overnight was very quiet. The cleanliness of the room wasn't the best. Old spills left on walls. Stains on carpet and couch. No sheets for the pull out bed. Shower faucet was loose and shower needs to be cleaned!

The lock on the inside of our room's door was completely torn off, the tub was rusty and so old. The gap under the room door was huge, and I could hear every time someone walked by. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff being friendly.
