The bathroom light didn't work. The coffee was cold, there was a roach crawling in the table next to the bed. The breakfast was bad. There was no syrup for the waffles, no butter, the milk was cool not cold, no cream cheese for the bagels.

This place was absolutely NASTY!. UPON ENTERING THE ROOM THE VERY FRIST. THING YOU SEE IS CARPET STAINED WITH EJACUATION STAINS. I ASKED THE ATTEDANT FOR TOWELS TO COVER THE STAINS. She did provide the TOWELS, however did not offer to move us to a more accommodateable room. . I addition the room had ROACHES!

There is a lot around this hotel but this is THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. There were roaches in the room. Went to the staff and let them know and he told me they were all booked and didn’t have any other rooms.
I felt gross. The bathroom had roaches and the beds and the AC unit.

Disappointing
I was trying to have a little get away for myself to relax. As soon as I walked in my room the smell of the cleaner was so strong that it triggered a headache. I was on the 2nd floor and I went to open the window to air out the room some and there wasn’t a screen. Good thing I didn’t have any kids with me! I went to lay on the bed and it was a very stiff, you could tell it was old! I didn’t really feel comfortable enough to walk bare footed through the room. I took a long hot shower. The shower floor where it met the walls had some black spots that needed cleaned, I assume it was mold. I thought to myself, it’s just one night and this was what I got for not spending a few extra dollars and getting a better hotel. I was just wanting to lay down and watch tv and sleep. I went to brush my teeth.. when I turned the water on a ROACH crawled in the sink. I jumped back and screamed like a little girl. I said “that’s it! I’m going home!” I called the service desk and told them what I saw and I told them I was leaving and I wanted my money back. He apologized and asked me if he could change my room, I said “I’ll pass, thanks!” He didn’t argue with me or ask any questions and refunded my money and I left.

The rooms were not well taken care of or that clean. The breakfast room did not have a working juice dispenser and the waffle and syrup dispensers were not working properly either. We chose the hotel based on its location, but next time we may decide to drive a little further to find a place that has some of the basic amenities in order.

Stay somewhere else
I do not recommend the Baymont in O’Fallon. The staff was friendly, however, our room was cleanish. There were stains all over the couch and comforter. There was also a burn hole in the comforter. The king bed sloped to the middle. I barely slept as it was very uncomfortable. I found hair on the bathroom floor and the hotel has cockroaches. I killed one in the bathroom, and saw one on the middle of the lobby floor. I can not speak about the breakfast as I wouldn’t not eat it after finding cockroaches. When I showered, I noticed chunks of mold or a buildup of some kind coming out of the “sealed” area between the floor of the shower and the wall. The metal ring around the water line running from the toilet to the wall was detached from the wall so you could see into the wall. The towels were also stained. Please save yourself some grief and stay somewhere else.

Not worth it
The room had no soap or tissues. The tv remote was missing, went to the desk twice to get a working remote. Breakfast did not have juice, milk or water.

This hotel needs help.
We arrived at 1am, tired. We are in our 70s. And we were asked for a $100 deposit for possible damages. They experienced a lot of partiers who damaged their rooms. We told the clerk we couldn’t tie up my card because I needed what was left on it for gas for the trip home. He assured us he was only holding it on file. We found out AmExpress couldn’t release the hold for 72 hours and we had to call our son for money to be transferred, so we could buy gas to get home. We were at an event in Utah, traveling to our home in Virginia.
1. We are 70yrs old, tired and arriving at 1am, not ready to party.
2. Then desk said our remaining credit would be accessible after the hold.
Then we noticed the filth. The elevator floor covered in spillage that seems like it had been there for a while.
Our room was not vacuumed, mirrors had lint dust that had been there for a while, toilet had fecal matter, shower had footprints and mold, windows and bath glass door had dirt and grease smudge marks, comforter was torn and there were blood stains, bedspread had large soil stains that seeped to the comforter.
We were offered another room… but we expected to see the same, based on what we saw in the elevator.
We asked for a receipt to expense it. He responded “you booked it through a booking agency?” And indicated we get our receipt from there.

The staff was unorganized the hotel was dirty. The furniture in my room was broken.
Nobody cleaned our room all weekend.
We had to go get our own towels and toiletries from the desk.
I would not suggest this place to my worst enemy.

I would never stay at this hotel and would never suggest it to anyone. Like they say, you can't judge a book by it's cover. To look at it from outside, you would think it was going to be nice. The elevator was nasty, and when we got to our room, it was infested with ants. We let the front desk clerk know, and they moved us to another room, to only find out it was infested with ants and cockroaches. I don't think I need to say anymore. Disgusting and gross is how I'll put it!! The only good thing about it, is I got my money back!!

Not a good experience
There was hair (not mine) in the sink. The lamp shades were cracked and broken. The bathroom door could not open completely because the toilet was in the way. The plastic ice bucket lid was cracked and broken. At breakfast there was no juice.
I will not be returning here.

This place is dirty, and ran down. I wish i would had read the reviews. The rooms had a horrible stink smell. Covers looked stained. Didn't look or smell clean at all. Old, and raggedy. I don't understand how this place is open for business. The power went out. Switched rooms that wasn't better so had to check out and find somewhere elsewhere. The photo is from the lobby restroom.

I cannot think about anything to like about this hotel. The rooms smell like a smoker live full time in them for years, there are no hairdryers, irons, or ironing boards. The Freezer space is clogged by ice, the walls have holes in them, sinks are cracker, bathroom doors almost hits the toilet, tiles are broken and coming off, flushing doesn't work well, and you get pets (ant and flies) for free. The staff will not help you and are usually nowhere to be found. Breakfast is substandard; watery coffee and stale bread.

The rooms were decently clean but the rest of the hotel is disgusting. Didn’t want to eat breakfast because the area was so nasty. The coffee dispensers, refrigerator, everything had old food and finger prints like they had never been wiped clean. The walls and floors throughout the hotel were so filthy.

I am waiting on a refund. We checked in and went to bed and woke up an hour and a half because we were itching turned on the lights and we had bites all over our bodies and were swollen up all over wd had to cut our vacation short because of the itching and swelling from the bug bites. We have pictures and video of the bugs.

This property does not advertise that breakfast is unavailable, and there is a $100 deposit (refundable). They don’t have clean towels, the WiFi does not work and they double charged us.

We won't be staying here again.
I would not recommend staying here. It worked in the end but beds were terrible, you almost had to fight them to even get towels for all the people in your room. Our hand towels were just wash clothes, the rooms smelled and I'm pretty sure the renovations are always happening but not actually happening. I could go on about what wasn't right about our stay, but I guess you could say we got what we paid for, I just expected more from the booking. We had a group with us and they all had the same experience. Hotels like this live off of the sports events close by, it would be nice if they could make the improvements so the stays could be comfortable for the guests.

Your site booked the wrong hotel in a State that I wasn’t even in. After 5-6 puzzles that popped up, for whatever reason you do that, my phone was going dead and then I lost contact. When my phone came back on it said I had reservations in St Louis/ Falon when I was in the middle of Nebraska. Not happy at all. I requested a refund.

Do not stay here…
Do not stay here. My wife and sister-in-law begged us to go to another hotel, the only reason we stayed is because we got distracted laughing so hard at the online comments from customers that had the same experience as us.
- I should have been paid to stay here, because I had to fix our toilet.
- we were sold a two queen room online and got here and there was only one bed rooms available.
- a police officer was chasing someone in the parking lot when we arrived.
- according to comments from the last six years online, this place is in a continual renovation.
- breakfast is advertised online, but it’s not actually available and it doesn’t matter because this place is so gross there is no way my wife would let us eat here.
- there was food and all sorts of nasty junk in the pullout bed we had to use, bc there wasn’t a second queen sized bed.
- there were no sheets for the pullout bed, so w asked for sheets and got one sheet.
- the building smelled like weed as we entered, but that was strangely better than the smell of the room.
- we used free hotels.com points to stay here, but even that was too much.
- Surprised they are allowed to use the Baymont and Wyndham name. This place is gross. Not sure how the score is as high as is.
- My brother was planning on sleeping in the car as a better option, but we never received confirmation that the guy being chased by the police was ever caught.
-My wife suggested showering at a truck stop down the road instead of here.

We checked in went to our room. I always pull back the blankets before I do anything and there was a blood stain on the comforter before I even pulled it back and a piss stain on the sheet when I dos pull it back. They showed me 5 more rooms before we decided enough was enough. Receptionist was nice and tried to accommodate but Every one of them had either stains on the sheets and pillow cases. One had hair still on the uncleaned sheets just the bed was made. I would not even rent a room here for my dogs. I better get my money back!!!

Wow! This hotel needs to be sterilized and exterminated! You have bed bugs. My kids didn’t know they could ask for another room. I feel I should get some of my money back!! This is not the first time your hotel has been told you have bed bugs. You still have done nothing to improve the dirtiest of your hotel! I will be reporting you to the health department! I will expecting a call from your manager! When I paid $226 plus $150 deposit we shouldn’t have to worry bed bugs!!

This place was an absolute joke! I tried to look past the “renovations” and even was dealing with the “our internet is having issues “ which meant we had no tv service either, but when I saw a bedbug, I was DONE. Literally left at 10pm and demanded a refund.

Not what I expected.
Not withstanding the fact that they are doing construction and renovating the inn, our room's window would not shut and our door would not stay closed unless you gave it a whack to release the mechanism. The breakfast we ok at best. The variety was lacking and it was not replenished. The room appeared clean and did not hae any issues in this area.

I ended up leaving. There was a large party of 40 to 50 people who arrived from Chicago. Two of the people started fighting. I did not feel safe. The check in person did NOTHING about the situation. Earlier I arrived before check in time and was treated rudely and was told to return. Then when I returned it was AWFUL. The guests were drinking and smelled of Pot. JUST AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

Not Pleased ... at all!!!
I have stayed at this location in the past. I was disappointed with this stay. The first room they assigned me had a funny odor. And the floor of the second room they assigned me smelled like cigaweed. Also, they charged a $100 refundable deposit. However, it has been four days and the deposit has not been refunded. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge.
The last thing is the complimentary breakfast. It was pitiful. They actually had a gallon of milk for the guests to use. This is so unsanitary.
You have been warned...

Once we checked in and received our room, it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. We couldn't stay here. Luckily we were able to receive a refund, but it was an inconvenience to have to search for another hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever!
This hotel stay was our worst yet. We didn’t intend to stop overnight heading to IA from GA but we did. My husband worked for the railroad and often stayed at Baymont locations. Our original room initially looked and smelled clean, beds made, scent of Fabuloso, etc. however the comforter had recent stains and did not appear to have been washed. The shower was filthy and the drain was covered in hair. Around the toilet had hair and urine. We asked to change rooms which they did accommodate but the second room wasn’t much better. Shower was dirty and again had hair covering the drain. This hotel was under construction and was not busy, there is zero excuse for this. We booked the room for a total of $53. I guess you get what you pay for but this was a very uncomfortable stay. We slept with our clothes on uncovered even after getting a clean comforter from the front desk. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else.

Worst baymont i ever been too.
They charge a deposit upon room rate. Was never awar of. Also a early check in fee. . Even tho room was ours tll 11. A.m. and we left at 8 a.m. no juice just coffee for morning. And sausage gravy and biscuit. Was freezing cold. Room not real clean. Garbage cans filthy.

The room itself was surprisingly clean. The bathroom was not equipped well for even 1 person, 1 towel and 1 washcloth, the smell of "smoke" was VERY noticable. We had to go to target to get multiple airfreshners The smell was also very strong in the halls and lobby. Breakfast was probably what was left from the previous week. Luckily there are restaurants not far.

Hate leaving a poor review because staff was nice
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was dirty. Our first room smelled like an ash tray, our second room had stains on the sheets. The lounge chair was broken. The floor was dirty. The elevator and hallways smelled like pot. We didn’t eat breakfast there due to the other experiences listed above. As mentioned, staff was kind and helpful but didn’t appreciate the uncleanliness.

my mom and I checked in, went to our room. on the way to our room noticed the tile floor was dirty. when we got our assigned room the tv was on, beds a mess and suitcases in the room. we did not see anyone, but in this world we could have been hurt. we immediately backed out of the room and went to front desk. the clerk was unaffected, never said she was sorry for the mistake. only oh the room says it is empty. we decided to take another chance on a room even though we really did not feel safe because it was late and most other hotels were full.(cardinal ballgame night). the second room had trash all over the floor. we backed out and drove another hour down the road to find a hotel. to address the unsafe feeling, people were walking around w/o shoes on smoking in the lobby, a man and his dog followed us in the initial time we entered with our suitcases. when we left there was a new red very expensive car next to ours with the door open just sitting there "waiting for someone" sometimes your instincts tell you to leave a situation and we did.

Seat on stool was broke. Shower was filthy. Sheetrock on walls in several places had gouges and scratches. Free breakfast had no coffee. Only had apple juice. Nothing to eat with gravy. Virtually nothing to eat. We had to leave to go buy breakfast elsewhere. Lobby was clean. Outside was well maintained. That is the only 2 positives. Very disappointed. Will not stay here ever again.

Room was at the ftont of hotel,218...avoid it the bright lights from the hotel shined at perfect side of the darkened shade so it was shining on the bed allnight,stayed here 2days ago as well, that room had roaches,haf to change rooms im highly allergic..yhe room last night had ants..and mold in the shower didn't bothet with picks but i can show you a pic of the room the othet night whete i killed a roach on the carpet the othet on got away..just zoom in

Hotel needs updating. Elevator smelled atrocious. Hair in bathroom sink. Room smelled bad. Stained and ripped towels. Shower was good and bed comfort ok. Breakfast not good. No syrup for waffle. No cream cheese for bagel.

They were ants crawling on my nightstand. There was no secondary lock on the door it look like it had been broken off. There is no hand towels, washcloths and bath towels. Breakfast a disappointment. No lids for cups for hot coffee.

Horrible! Hotel was dirty. Kleenexes on floor in room, floor in bathroom dirty, my bath towel had two large holes in it and when my husband went to turn on the water for his shower, the handle came off in his hand. The breakfast was almost non existent. no choices or much on hand. Just not a good stay at all. Will not be back there.

1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth in room. Did not clean room 2nd day. Had to get towels from front desk. TV remote broken. 1 out 4 lights over vanity inop. Shower door missing roller fell off track, dangerous. On a positive note they did fix all. Would never stay there again. Place is extremely worn. In serious need of serious refresh!!!!!

The blanket on the bed had huge fresh stains. I took it to front desk. She didn’t care. We only had 2 towels for 4 of us in the room. We ask in the evening and the next morning. They said they didn’t have anymore towels. The breakfast was terrible. I have eaten many good waffles at hotels. These were terrible. Poor selection of choices. This was inexpensive hotel so didn’t have big expectations but for a clean place to sleep ability to take shower and grab quick breakfast. They failed completely!

Cheap, don't expect a spotless room.
Booked at the last minute at the end of a 900 mile day. Didn't expect much for the price and wasn't disappointed. Hair on the shower floor, bathroom floor sticky, blood stains on mattress cover clearly visible through thin white sheets.

The hotel was very dirty and unkept. The checkin was not ver friendly and there was an awful smell throughout the lobby and halls. Upon entering the room the bed linen was dirty/stained. The headboard was pulling away from the wall and the faucet in the bathroom was also broken.

Hotel with five Star employees.
I checked in at Baymont By Wyndham on June 24 at 10:30 PM. Every hotel in O’Fallon, Illinois was full. I didn’t get names but, the desk clerk and his assistant was so nice. They had one room left. One king size bed and a pull out couch. The desk clerk wouldn’t let me book the room until I saw it. I said I would take it. My daughter and granddaughter slept in the bed. I slept in the pull out couch bed. It was very comfortable.
The two employees were professional and kind. It isn’t a 4 star hotel but, it is clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Coffee was very good. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel as an excellent hotel.

Would not stay again
Sheets had stains, blinds didn't completely cover window so sunlight comes in, crumbs on the floor from previous occupants between the bed and night stand, molding/carpet peeling away from wall, sink cracked and water smelled awful, lobby had no ac, appeared very minimally staffed, dirty elevator, bathroom only stocked with 1 towel, juice for breakfast was very watered down (trying to save money??) and the biscuits were stale-perhaps becuase it was so warm in the lobby from no ac it sped of the expiration process, "fresh fruit" also looked old. Would not stay again.
