First impressions are important. My room was in the fifth floor. The elevator was not working. An employee had to reset it so I could go up to my room. The rest of the time I used the stairs, not wanting to be stuck. The doors were very loud when guests on my floor went in or out of their room.
My room was nice, clean, fairly quiet because I was almost at the end of the hall. The bed was comfortable. I loved the eight of the blanket.
I could not figure out the TV so I ended up watching what I wanted to in my phone. Also, the plug by the bed didn’t work. Fortunately, I brought an extension cord for my phone & watch charger.
The shower worked perfectly.

Worst $225 spent on a hotel EVER (one night stay)
They allow pets, but there’s absolutely nowhere in the vicinity for a dog to potty in grass. They don’t even have a tiny patch of grass. No outdoor trash cans for disposing of dog poop either. The elevators didn’t work 80% of the time, forcing me to carry a 19 month old upstairs while pulling my luggage and dog up 4 flights of stairs. They don’t have vending machines, at all. The only place to get anything is on the Lobby floor.

We got here and they didn’t have our reservation that was booked through Expedia. They were very helpful in correcting this. They had a room available and corrected the billing. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and recommended places to eat within walking distance.

The number one important thing for me is the staff!! All the staff I interacted with were friendly and warm. Exactly what I needed after 14 hours of driving one Interstates that are all under construction.
I will be staying here again!

Wet carpet
The air conditioning dripped all night. The carpet/floor was wet made my socks wet. I didn’t see the wet carpet.
The attached room was noisy and I could here phone conversations. I was expecting better.

The two things that were not okay was the elevators even though they had a sigh that said watch your step the children that I was with kept stumbling on the lip. The next thing was the pool the water was salty and I mean SALTY!!! I will never stay there again but these are things that would help during other guest stays at this location

Cabinets in room were loose and falling off.
Breakfast was lacking toward 9:45am. No eggs, no orange juice, no yogurt.. had to ask for whatever food they had left.
Only one pack n play for the entire hotel..

It was nice but there was no hot water for 48 hours! During that 48 hrs the water was off for 11 hours without the ability to even flush the toilet. They later turned on the cold water to do so. I got a refund for 2 of the 3 nights. It was disgusting. Nobody could shower for 2 days. The elevators smelled like sweat. I called the city code enforcement/health inspector at the 48 hr mark. Absolutely rediculous though. The hotel kept allowing more/new people to check in. The staff kept saying for two days...oh the hot water will be back on today. All lies. But, imagine, we couldn't even flush feces and urine down the toilet for 11 hours almost!!! I had to use the ice bucket to drain the pipe to fill up, twice, to dump in the tank to help flush waste down! It was gross!! Worst experience ever in a hotel. Wish I'd had stayed at super 8 across town!! Also was woken up and kept awake by a yappy dog whos owner DID NOT take out as well as a small child screaming and barking. Up with kid til 12:38pm and awoken at 6:08 with the dog. It was a nightmare. Then i asked to be moved and specifically said NOT NEAR DOGS OR SMALL KIDS. I was moved to a room next to another woman with a dog. I know so bc we took the elevator up to the 8th floor together. I told her about what happened and she showed me her dog which didn't bark once, just like she said. But the point is...is I made a very clear request and mind you, during all this, is when we had no hot water. Just z horrible experience.

Wouldn’t stay again
No grass at a pet friendly hotel. Had to walk down and across the street to a small patch of grass. Should’ve looked closer at satellite view of hotel, disappointed nonetheless. Wouldn’t stay again with our dog. Elevator is really small and takes a long time. Had to park across the street.

Stayed new years. Bar across street but fd told me two blocks away. Hotel bar & restaurant closed. But room was nice comfortable clean.8th Floor! Very bright in all areas. Never dimmed at night for ambiance for christmas tree standout (pretty decorations tho). Crowded pool! Tripped a few times elevator step. Breakfast good. Nice big windows. Location

The thermostat in the room was not working. Registered 65 degrees and heat would not turn on. They quickly came up and replaced batteries. It was fine when the heat was on but then quickly cooled down even whey set at 74 degrees. Also soap in tub was empty. Lotion bottle was in the tub area and the wall unit by the sink was labeled “conditioner “. Breakfast was excellent.

Unfortunately, there were not many positives of staying at this property. I can say the continental breakfast and snack area were well stocked and fresh.
Regarding the negatives of the stay... Upon checking in, there was an issue with the room we received. We could not determine if this was the hotel's fault or Expedia's fault. Either way, the receptionist was prepared to charge us the incorrect amount for a downgraded room until I came back downstairs and pointed it out. I was reluctantly offered a very small amount of money off the room. She was generally quite unhelpful.
Once we settled into the room we noticed a host of issues. Cleaning was not up to par, fixtures were broken or worn, and the room temperature varied wildly.
Overall, this looks like it was once a nice hotel. It is now worn down and needs a deep clean. Their rates should be adjusted to fit more of the bracket of a very nice motel. I was surprised this was even a Hampton.

Staff is very nice. Breakfast is excellent. Pillows are horrible and a/c won’t keep fan on. Shuts off all the time. Very loud then very quiet. Hard to sleep

Everyone friendly.. visit every June for six years for our yearly Rt 75 sales.. always enjoy our stay.. never disappointed! Love the connected restaurant for dinner and a cocktail… rooms very comfortable and clean … we take a dip in swimming pool..enjoy a lovely breakfast in the morning…Thank you 😊

Room was unique, very spare, might even be called spartan. No decor, all white laminate, polished chrome and gray walls and carpet. Only color was blue upholstered chair and small red ottoman (?). Wall hangings, one small one very large, were uninterest gray scale, with slashes of red and blue running through. Large HVAC system had remote controls in wall but fan speed control on unit was busted so it was on high only. Bath was very large and very clean. Room was not very large especially with two queen beds but very clean and neat. Beds were extremely comfortable except for devuts. Come on people this is America not the EU. Problems with video trying to get the proper channels to play. Kept getting the WC on the PBS channel. Clock radio was a joke, front desk person didn't even know how it worked. Finally gave up on it. Breakfast was bad especially the powered eggs and greasy under cooked bacon. "A" for cleanliness, neatness, bathroom and beds. "B to C" for most else except "F" for the clock radio and the breakfast.

The room could have been cleaner. My comforter was ripped, the sheets were itchy, and there were stains on the wall. All I killed two small bugs in my room. Also the breakfast wasn't good. I get that it's free, but I feel it could have been a little better.

Historic Building with the comforts
Check in was amazing and efficient! Room was a large corner unit with great views. Bed was comfortable and we had 2 great nights of sleep. Hot food was varied each morning for variety and fruit was fresh. Building is historic and part of its appeal for us. We missed out on the Bourbons on Main experience, we will br back to try it out. Little Mexican grocery a block down was fabulous for dinner and any extras you need.
It was also dog friendly!!

I chose this one for the location. Several maintenance problems in room. Really appreciated the 24 hour coffee and staff friendliness. Overall I would not stay there again. Much nicer places to stay.

Pool was small but surprisingly wasn't hot like most hotel pools. We kept having to ask for towels though, which was inconvenient. Breakfast was good! The only other disappointment was we found a piece of hair (weave) at the end of the bed which makes me question if the entire room was sanitary or not.

Nice hotel! Friendly staff, clean rooms and a nice breakfast. Downtown Freeport is pretty empty though. The hotel parking lot doesn’t have security cameras or fencing. We felt safe, just not sure about leaving our bikes on the back of the car, even though they were locked.

This hotel fit our needs. We had breakfast both mornings. Staff struggled a little to keep up but overall did fine. We had a toilet overflow so had to grab a plunger and new towels from front desk. Had only one battery in our remote control— visited front desk for that. Signed up
For the pool useage. Pool was comfortable.

Nice stay in downtown Freeport
The outside of the hotel is not all that impressive but once you walk through the front door it was fantastic. Rey clean and well kept. Check in was quick and courteous. They allowed us to check in early which was nice. The room was very spacious, had a nice view out of the huge windows. The room was well cleaned. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The A/C was loud but not unbearable. The doors were extremely heavy and slammed shut so when the folks staying in the room next to us returned to their room very late at night, let’s just say it more than woke me up…LOL. Bathroom was nice and large, shower worked great and while there was not all that much counter space there were a few shelves that my wife could store all of her stuff on.
Parking was sufficient and seemed safe enough. The surrounding neighborhoods did not seem fantastic but I certainly did not see or hear of any issues during our stay.
The free breakfast was good, your normal hotel type breakfast foods (eggs, meat, waffles, oatmeal, etc.). All tasted good and was fresh. Plenty of employees constantly cleaning in the food and dining areas.
Overall, I was very happy with our stay

Very uniquely located hotel. 8 floors which provide an above average view. The problem you will run into is if you are traveling as a family or have a decent amount of luggage, the parking situation will be a downfall. They have 2 dedicated lots. One lot is located down the street about 200 ft and only has about 15 parking spaces. The 2nd lot is across the street. It has twice the amount of parking but as I stated before, if you are traveling as a family or with some luggage getting across the street can be a pain. When we were there the hotel only had 2 4-wheel carts. One was missing and the other one was in use. So it took about 3 trips to and from our vehicle to the 7th floor where our room was to get everything to our room. Not ideal. If you are staying for a single night, by yourself or a spouse it is okay. But anything more, look elsewhere to stay. Their free breakfast in the morning was actually very good. We did not get a chance to check out the pool but the fact they have one is a plus.

I was exhausted 😴
My stay here was great! The only issue i have is you have to request housekeeping for overnight stays! That was never communicated to us at check-in! So when i returned to my room after a long 12 hour day, my room was exactly as i left it! It was not until 730 pm when i called the front desk to find out why my room wasn't serviced is when i found out it has to be request! This was never my experience before Coronavirus. And if it is, going forward we should be notified as such at check-in nit when I am exhausted upon my return!

They over booked. Ended up at Comfort Inn beautiful place very friendly. I will give it to the Hampton though, they paid for the room at Comfort Inn. But it would have been nice to be notified of the change before arriving

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hampton Inn Freeport! Unfortunately, they had a slight issue that caused them to not have a two queen bedroom available. To make it up, they issued us TWO rooms that had king beds! They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our experience was a good one! It was much appreciated!

Newly remodeled but needs a few touch ups.
No water supply to tub/shower, so we had to move to another room, after we had unpacked. After moving to new room, found out that handle on toilet was malfunctioning. Newly remodeled rooms, so very nice, except for plumbing issues. A few spots in bathroom could use a more stringent cleaning, also. Very very nice staff!!!

The Hotel is good and clean the only unhappy face was because Sunday morning I went down to the breakfast area and only one breakfast bag a big group of people was there and obiusly they took alk the bags I needed two bags one for me and one for my husband when I ask the lady at the front desk she said I'am sorry I didn't see that the table was empty no more breakfast bags, but someone from the hig group left one bag in the lobby and then she said let me

i booked a king size SUITE thinking it had a kitchen with a stovetop only to get in a room with a kitchen sink and extra counter space! the room was clean. but out of my three night stay i never received room service. my bathroom had a drain in the floor which had the most awful smell coming out. i had to have the bathroom door closed the entire time. the second night into my stay i realized my room didn’t even have a microwave in it. i had to call and request one for a SUITE that i paid $374 for. you would think if i’m paying that amount i should have everything i need already!!!! staff was friendly but my overall experience was extremely poor.

Approaching the Hampton in downtown Freeport we passed a rundown section of town which made us a little uneasy. Pulled up curbside to the hotel at 4:15pm, once inside was greeted by a very nice management person who was vacuuming. We had ordered a King Suite. Their computer listed our suite on the 8th floor. We inquired about a lower floor, but no other rooms were available. They had a large wedding group the night before and no other room were ready. I inquired about the bar/restaurant, only to find out it was closed today (Sunday). I asked about the location of their health club and pool, was told in the basement. While looking over the lobby we saw no other employees or guests anywhere. The unsecured open parking lot was across the street, but no cars. I was concerned about equipment in my vehicle. We asked about other places to eat nearby and was told there was nothing close by. We didn't feel comfortable with a ghost town hotel with a closed bar/restaurant, or cars, or people, or security. We didn't check in; safety was our concern.
If this hotel was the only option within 25 miles we’d have stayed, even being uncomfortable. But doing a Google search we located another property a few miles away, closer to the highway. The drive produced a more active area, a parking lot brightly lit and occupied, a pool and fitness room on the main floor, even a ground floor room for us with parking right outside our window. We called direct line to the Hampton and asked for a refund.

Disappointing overall
Rooms are much smaller than typical Hampton. No dresser, smaller desk, small sink - overall tight. Room and hotel in general was clean. Breakfast was good. Workout area is good. A concern when the hotel gives my room to someone else when I am in it. A little disconcerting when someone else is able to just walk into my room. There are other options in town.

Fantastic Place To Stay
We stayed 3 nights and had no problems at all. The staff and everything were great. The place is clean and very nice. The pool area is nice as well. The breakfast was very good and the folks working it did a great job. We will be staying here again when in town.

Remarkable, historical hotel
Thermostat was strange and ac a bit loud. The woman that checked me in was wonderful and the hotel was great. Its always fun staying in a historic building. It was a perfect trip and awesome hotel.
