It was nice it was all centrally located. It is close to other cities and the resort is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, beach. It was simple but convenient and relaxing.

The view is amazing from the room and balcony. Perfect for a couple. If you were expecting a living room, there is none. Master bed is in open with kitchen. It was perfect for us, but something to be aware of.

A beach gem
Absolutely amazing. We stayed on beachside. Just an elevator ride dlwnto beach. All the fees are a little high and chair rentals are very high so bri g your own chair and umbrella.thestudio was very nice beds were very comfy

Smelled like mold and not a ocean view. The doors to get in and out of the building were broken and not accessible for anyone with a disability so very unsafe and had signs up that said excuse our mess and under construction. We also were not able to access our room until almost 6pm

The property is beautiful and landscapes and gardening staff was working really hard. The only issue was with parking. The staff gave different responses to my husband. Plus the people waiting at the gate was inpatient when we were asking for help. One lady was helpful, but another guy was rushing us why we talking to customer service. She told us to come in and request the QR code be resent to his phone. Then another visitor reffed his engine at us. We had to pull over in the parking garage and go to the front desk. After someone also told us we would be towed. Then my husband went in and told us we don’t get a QR code and to park in the lot farther away. We had a Handicap tag on my car. I am also a disabled vet with my service dog. I went back in with my service dog and then the lady accommodated us. The manager called and told my husband that we can’t park underground. I don’t understand disabled parking is normally close to the entrance. I wasn’t asking for much to be accommodated, but seemed like it was a hassle at check in. Then I was also told I couldn’t have my service animal on the pool deck. She did help us with gate entry because we forgot our envelope that held the key card. The next day, we also was rushed interrupted in the morning for maintenance on the fire alarm, I had to hurry up and change and take my medication. We returned back several times and they were still by our room . We left the resort a day early, I didn’t feel comfortable anymore.

In my search option, I selected Beach and we got a golf course view, so we were not happy, my opinion was the property we stayed in was far off the beaten path, would have liked to been close to the beach. The airline gave up our seats they said we were late but we were checked in. The resort was too far spaced out for what we wanted.

We started out at the Bayside hotel. It is very inconvenient as far as beach access. This resort is huge with five or six different buildings. Not their fault that I didn’t realize that in the beginning. They do have a trim service that takes you around but sometimes you have to wait a little while. They only have one place that serves breakfast. It was very good but lots of people. We asked to change buildings and were upgraded to the luau tower which was walking distance to the beach. Highly recommend that building for beachgoers. Quality of the rooms in both hotels was good and the beds were very comfortable. Hardly any restaurants on the property, which was very disappointing. We did eat lunch at the Beachside club, which was probably the worst seafood I’ve ever had in my life.

The room was very clean. But it isn’t a studio. It’s basically a hotel room. I would have liked a table or a chair, but it only had 2 beds. No sink in the kitchenette either, so I had to was my coffee cup in the bathroom sink.

The furniture was both sparce and *very* out of date to be honest. The outdoor patio chair as a desk chair was highly unimpressive. The end tables had stains and swollen sections of the wood, scratches and the lamps are straight out of 1995. BUT!!! Patio was gorgeous. Best sunsets. Tram drivers were fanatic. Lots of options for things to do and easy access to get there. Best quick escape for us!

I loved the area the resort was in the fact that everything was convenient, and the view from our 11th story room was amazing. The downside is the room we stayed in really needed improvements like the ice maker in the fridge was not working, the handle on the patio sliding door broke, and the cabinets were separating from the wall/ceiling in the kitchen. There was also hidden fees that we were unaware of when booking but overall we enjoyed the things we did there and will return in and get a newer room no doubt.

Clean and Comfortable
My husband and I came to stay the night for his surgery at Sacred Heart hospital. We didn’t expect to have enjoyed the room as much as we did. It was absolutely gorgeous!! The views were amazing! It was clean and neat. Bed was really comfortable. We will be back

Overpriced, poorly maintained condo
Condo was in poor condition and smelled of mold. For the price per night, I would a clean, maintained room. No communication from resort. No information provided. Don't waste your time booking, they charge up to $50 in resort fees and maintenance fees yet never once delivered towels, toilet paper or offered any amenities of any kind.

Nice property. Small things though that would have been good to know going was that they do not provide pool/beach towels. Small but not something you think wouldn't be provided. Communication was quick and prompt via text message whenever something was needed. Large beautiful property.

Room was clean but a bit dated and small. It had a view of the parking lot with no balcony to hang suits and towels. It is a short hike to the beach. They have shuttles. The wharf was lively and fun to walk around. Would spend my money somewhere else next time.

Our unit was very bare bones. We had five mini pillows no bigger than a couch throw pillow. There wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed but rather another top sheet. There also seemed to be a pretty bad roach problem that was noticed on the first day and only got worse. The shower backed up quite a bit. We were disappointed in our stay as this was our honeymoon. We could have stayed at the Hilton next door for cheaper and had a cleaner room still beach front. Lots of room for improvement here

The room we were first assigned was filthy upon check in. The bathroom had not been cleaned, visible pubic hairs of whom we assumed stayed before us. We complained and we we given a new room. Nicer but the floor was so completely filthy that it made our feet dark brown as we walked on it. Also, our toilet had to be plunged 2 times in a three day stay. Finally, maintenance called in a professional to snake the toilet and he found a bar of soap lodged deep in the pipe. We did not do that and he said it was a problem with housekeeping doing it. Also, our second night i asked the front desk for an extra blanket and they said they could not get me one due to housekeeping being gone. It was 5pm on Sunday afternoon. So i had to wait to be warm until the next night. I had to call back during the day Monday to get the blanket. My stay I saved for sucked. I will not recommend Sandestin property.

2nd year at Sandestin. Enjoyed the trip except for the daily beach rental chairs taking up the entire beach, even if not rented. It would be great if the chairs could be set up only if they’re rented, so the rest of the guests can also have a space at the beach. For this reason alone, I will likely find another hotel next time.

Will be back! This place ended up being the perfect place to stay with our teenagers. They could safely venture around the village and enjoy time by themselves. Safe, clean and has everything you need in one area. Beach is beautiful. Only complaint is the chair rentals and allowing to bring your own. Pick one and open more beach area.

Initially, the ac didn't work in our first room. The manager got on it quickly and we were immediately moved to a new room. The view from our room was priceless. The shuttle to the beach was convenient. You can literally go to the property and not have to drive to enjoy your time there. Definitely will stay longer next time.

The Bayside Condos were just okay. Definitely dated. You can expect to wait a while for the trams if you don’t have a golf cart. We’ll go back to Destin for sure, but will stay oceanfront somewhere and rent a car next time. It’s a massive resort for sure with beautiful golf courses and amenities. The Village is very family friendly with lots of stuff to do for kids, but the food there was very mediocre. The Beach House pool and restaurant were excellent options, right on the beach. Go to McGuires or Boshamps for the best food in Destin.

I had requested a room with Double Beds and when I checked in and walked into my room, it had a king size bed. I reported the error to the front desk multiple times, and nothing was done about it.

Shower issue
Only thing I can say is to check the master shower in 2467. It doesn’t drain well and constantly overflowed and spilled out into bathroom floor.
Not enough towels so we had to do laundry as well.

First of all, I booked this property and believe the booking was deceptive through Expedia. Secondly, the property had ants. Third, they did not provide beach towels. Fourth, there was limited parking at the beach parking lot. Fifth, the people I spoke with were not helpful. Sixth, I was over a mile from the beach on the bottom floor of a building. Seventh, I could go on and on, but at this time, I won't.

Great place for the family. The beach is wonderful. The staff was nice. Close to a lot of shops and dining. The next time, I am getting a golf cart to rent as that is the way to go as 70% of the time, you can find anything you need within a mile of the room.

Our room was no better than a Motel 6, with a bed that had a huge dip in the middle of it. The place was unbelievably crowded, parking in the parking garage was a nightmare, overall it was a very poor experience. WAY overpriced for what you get.

The communication wss not good. Check in is at 4 we didnt get until 5. The air conditioning didnt work in the orher half of the suite. My husband was hassled anout his truck being too big for the parking spaces, but it wasnt conveyed to us upon check in. The pool was beautiful and the grounds near our room. We were near shopping and restraunts on the property and that was really great.

Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at this resort. Our condo was in Beachside one tower. The condo itself was clean and spacious. I love having a separate bedroom for my children with two twin beds. The view of the ocean was incredible. It was easy to get to both the pool and the ocean, in a very short walk. Destin beaches are absolutely impeccable with regards to water clarity. It’s just stunning! If ocean water is your goal, Destin beaches are definitely the way to go.
The condo was equipped with a full kitchen, stackable washer and dryer, and two bathrooms. (No tub.) The pool was 5 feet deep at its deepest with a nice hot tub, too. There is a cool beach restaurant, right next-door called Beach house. They have amazing fish tacos and other really good food. They also have an outdoor pool and the deepest part is 6 feet deep. You can go to that pool instead if you want to change things up. Completely included. Not an extra fee. Overall the quality of the amenities at the resort could be higher. I wish they had an ice machine, I wish they had vending machines for soda or other snacks. I didn’t see a vending machine anywhere. So, be prepared to bring all of your stuff, including groceries, extra paper towel, salt and pepper, all of your beverages and more. Toilet paper and tissue and very small amounts of shampoo and conditioner are provided. Bring beach towels! Also, renting to Chairs on the beach is going to run you about $60 a day.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the property. It has a lot to offer in terms of activities and restaurants. You really don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. The only issue I had was with housekeeping and receiving things we needed. However, I will say that management was quick to reach out to me to rectify my issues and it was greatly appreciated.

The area it self was nice. But the fact is the price was not worth what the room had. It had a leaky faucet, we asked for 1 king bed and got 2 full size instead. The coffee tasted like literal dirt and chemicals. And there were only two outlets in the whole room. I’m sure other places around the San Destin property are nice but Bayside is not it. We will not being staying there again. The employees were very nice, and out lying property was well maintained.

We stayed at the bayside “condos” which is a basic low-end hotel room. The bads- the shower and sink drains drained slowly which is gross. We were only allied access to certain pools, the communication between the guest and the property management is through text, which is very frustrating. There’s no phone connecting you to the front desk. You pay all this money in resort fees but you have to pay for stuff like chairs and umbrellas and beach towels, etc. you do get parking in the areas, bike rentals and boogie board rentals on the beach but that’s really it. I fail to see a return of the resort fee. Maybe golf is included? But I highly doubt it. I’d rather stay at the Hilton than this place, just easier and way nicer for the same money more or less. I won’t be staying here again unless we had a group where we needed and 4bd room place or something.
The good- the grounds are nice. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy the view. Isiah the front desk guy is very helpful and accommodating. Props to him.

The property and room is fine. I just don't like the bait and switch. They offer you a reasonable price (thru Expedia) to stay there than the jack you an extra $353 maintenance fee (for 1 week stay) when you get there. If you say your not going to pay it you loose your other rental fees (thru Expedia) to stay and you have to find another place after you just travelled for 8 hours. How many people pay a $1412 monthly HMO fee. They know they got you and is not right. This is legalize theft. I'm going to contact BBB because that is too much for taxes and HMO. Why don't they share this up front when your booking room?

Maybe I misunderstood something when I booked this property, but this was a vacation rental and not a hotel. As such, there was no full service housekeeping, unless you paid extra. Other than that, the resort was great and I wished I could have stayed longer. There is a lot to see and do on the resort and in the surrounding area and a weekend is not enough time. I would recommend the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort and look forward to returning in the future.
