The temperature in the room was great and Staff where very professional and inviting. Made me feel very welcome to stay here. Great selection of food for breakfast and Hot too. Only bad thing was Doo Doo stain on toilet seat like someone cleaned so they can poop on it. Because we were in a terrible hotel before this one so ....I did not give score the worst. But will visit again. Thank for being so kind and will check up again.

I was extremely tired, so I did not really check then I unpacked everything and went to take a shower. Otherwise, I must ask for exchange another room. When I got into the bathroom, I found that hair in the broken sink, hair in the shower tub, it was just the beginning, then finished, I went back to the bed, also found dirty bed sheet and hairs again. And you could hear outside clearly, it is very noise.
This is very bad experience. Never again for this hotel.

Great stay
Great customer service. Close to mall, restaurants, and gas stations. Cannot comment on breakfast as I didn’t eat breakfast. Clean, nice suite rooms. I travel for work and this hotel is normally my first choice in that area.

Birthday trip for family member
I was a disappointed when i checked in. They did not have a handicap room with souble beds as requested. Therefore it put the handicap person struggling to use the reatroom because the toilet was too low to the floor. We had to keep taking them to the reatroom in the lobby which was an inconvenience due to their slow mobility issues. Nevwr on the hotwl.com or the hotel themselves website inform me that the handicap rooms only come with one bed in them. Just crazy. The bathroom furniture was dusty and had hair in the tub and on the shower walls. Other than that great service and hotel. Ive stayed here before and thats why i chose to go back.

Hampton Inn has always been my go to place when we’re away from home. So there was no second thoughts when I decided to book here. My room was FILTHY. Dusty. Nasty pubic hair was on the toilet. Candy paper behind the bathroom door. So it’s evident that the floor wasn’t swept and definitely not mopped. Also, the ceiling above the tub/shower was moldy. This room had hotel pricing and a motel look. I expect a nice place to sleep when you’re paying close to $150 a night. Maybe management need to check behind housekeeping. Hampton Inn was very disappointing to us during this stay.

GREAT STAY
Everyone I came into contact with was so polite and healthful. I believe the man’s name was Brian at the front desk…..he was fantastic!! Karen had a wonderful breakfast for everyone and kept everything clean.
There was something for everyone.

Enjoyable stay in Greenbrier.
It's a great location. Very central to the Tidewater area. Never mind the road construction. There's plenty of it! Try to get a room away from traffic noise. The rooms only filter out so much. Ours was small, but we had twin queens so..,
Plenty of cable channels on the telly. The towels and bathroom supplies were a plenty and clean! You'll like that. The lobby has the best coffee choices and plenty of it. The complimentary breakfast was average for most hotels. Good, that's all I can say.
Easy check in and out. You can use the app, or choose to talk to humans like we do. It was reasonable and we enjoyed our stay except one Sat morning at 6:30 am the dumpster truck came along and lasted 5 minutes of incredible noise outside our room. That was out only negative.

Convenient, breakfast is fine. We often stay here. The AC in this room must have been older, it kicked in every so often and was loud. Next time I’ll inquire about this.Beds are comfy. Week day prices are fair.

Had an issue with noise. The walls were paper thin and we could hear talking and doors opening and closing all hours of the night. The room had a door which jammed after exiting. The front desk clerk had to force it open when we retuned from dinner. He knew exactly wat was wrong. The issue was reported by a prior guest but was NOT fixed prior to our stay. I find this unacceptable. That is no way to operate a business.

Nicest staff ever
We only stayed one night, Christmas Eve, and you might expect employees to be a little grumpy having to work the holiday. Not the case! Every single person we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and very clean.

Mikel was fantastic! He called around for us to find Thanksgiving dinner and gave us the number for a Chinese restaurant that he recommend. He always had a smile when he was at the desk. Breakfast was great each morning and staff always said hello and asked if we needed anything.

Check in was terrible. I had booked a room with two queen beds and they gave me a room with one queen bed. My reservation showed 3 adults were checking into hotel. Initially they said I had to take this room but later said I could have a king with a pullout. After waiting in lobby over a half hour I was finally given a key to a room with 2 queen beds. The room was so small there was no room on one side of one of the beds to even get out of bed. It was smallest space I have stayed at ever in a hotel. Two other people checking in were also having issues.One couple stood waiting almost as long as us to be given a room key. Even though it was already after 3 PM many rooms hadn't been cleaned and guests eere forced to wait in lobby.

" No Frills" Hotel with Lots of Frills!
This is advertised as a "no frills" hotel but it was actually a very, very nice hotel! The furniture, carpets, etc. are up to date and handsome. The room was awfully nice and the furniture comfortable. The person at the front desk was extremely helpful, recommending a restaurant with delivery (food was so good!) and even locating a small complimentary sewing kit for us. Breakfast was fresh and there was a tasty, wide variety. High marks all around!

Just ok. Needs updates throughout
Like the sign at the hotel says, it's clean and the staff are friendly. The air in our room was stale upon entry and remained that way through our 2 day stay. Poorly done maintenance work in the ceiling in the fouer and bathroom. Furniture showed obvious signs of wear and tear. Bed was ok, no complaints. Our room overlooked a busy roadway so it was noisy. The hotel carpet is a weird dark brown and orange which gave the whole place a very outdated 70s vibe even through the carpet didn't show signs of wear. Overall the place passes for what it promised, clean and friendly despite the poor patchwork, outdated furnishings and stale air.

Would consider again. Only for 3 days
Upon arrival a couple requested to change their room b/c of the smell, which was a turn off from the beginning. Then when I got to my room it wasn't the cleanest and smelled a little musty. After my 9 hour drive I was so tired I rested and decided to request another room in the am. However, most rooms are musty due to the carpet, AC, locked windows and possibly being pet friendly. While the staff we very pleasant, they told me that my pet (cat) was not allowed. They stated that the pet policy is ONLY for dogs. However, after explaining my situation they did accommodate. Due to the uncleanliness of my room they were kind enough to wave the pet fee. The breakfast are very pleasant and Karen's hospitality alone is priceless. Actually all of the staff were very nice! Thank you.

Not pet friendly
If you have a dog you get a filthy room upper level. No vacuum, no dusting, no cleaning, food leftovers in the fridge, a/c noise louder than a tractor and no button to change settings.
On the top of this they overcharge for the dog. With that money you can go anywhere else.
Extremely disappointed.
To the manager: I don't want apologies, I just want a decent clean room. Pets need to be lower floor and their owners deserve to be treated with more courtesy.

It made us feel, that because we didn't book through the hotel we got the worse of rooms until I demanded a better room. The toilet was better fit a small child, than adult.

Our trip was a great. Beds were comfortable. Room included a good size refrigerator that worked better than any hotel I have stayed in previously. Bathroom was small however. I would definitely stay there again.

No restaurant on property and limited restaurants close by. There was some construction trash but can't do much about that. Staff was very friendly.
