The property is dated but it appears attempts to remodel have been made. The greatest negative was the strong marijuana odor as soon as we left our room. We did not feel comfortable staying there due to the obvious drug use on the property.

No jacuzzis anywhere.
I booked this hotel because they had an indoor pool and jacuzzi. I paid more for a room that had another jacuzzi in the bedroom. Two days before my stay I was contacted saying they were having plumbing problems and my room was no longer available. They “upgraded” me to a townhouse suite. I explained that I had booked the room based on the jacuzzi. They apologized and said if the repairs were made in time, I could have the original room. But when I arrived it was clear it wasn’t a plumbing problem, it was a major renovation. Every room that had a jacuzzi was completely gutted. And the jacuzzi in the pool area was empty and inoperable. I expressed my disappointment to the man at the front desk. He just shrugged and told me he there was nothing he could do because I had booked through Hotels.com. Instead of a refund I asked if there was anything like maybe a bottle of wine or something. He said no. I explained that had paid more for the jacuzzi room. He tried to say the room I was getting instead was an upgrade. But it wasn’t for me. It had a second bedroom up a scary spiral staircase that I didn’t need. And the staircase took up so much room that the usable space in the room I was using was limited. And “renovations” in my upgraded room must have been limited to carpet squares over uneven flooring and a new headboard. If you’re planning on staying here call first to see what is actually available because it’s still showing the jacuzzi rooms as bookable.

The room was clean and of adequate size. The staff was very nice.The water from the faucet was brown when you first turned it on. There were ants on vanity. The bed had a metal base that sounded as if someone kicked a metal barrel every time you moved.

Awful!!! Want a refund
I’ve asked for a refund. The first room we were put into did not look anything like the picture of shown so I requested to move. I was put into a room somewhere to the picture that was shown, however, it was filthy. They were fecal matter on the side of the tub, the bottom of the tub was dirty, there were marks on the sink counter spots of something red on the floor in the bathroom, poorly renovated and just uncomfortable in general. Not to mention the partying going on above and the man, puking outside of our room.

Non-functioning shower (yes, we tried everything; did not work!) Filthy, dirty, dried up washcloth found under sink in cabinet, how long it was there is anyone's guess. After 7 years of staying at this place for a single night each year, extremely disappointed in the condition of the property. Did not appreciate being doubted by the young woman at checkout when I told her of these concerns.

This hotel is very outdated. The bathroom faucet was falling apart, the tv worked when it wants too. The room smelled like smoke eventhough it's a non-smoking. There's only bagels, waffles, muffins and cereals for breakfast. I don't think I will stay there again

Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Had a small issue with the tub that they were unable to fix while we were there but otherwise excellent. Would stay here again.

Holiday getaway
We arrived to an empty white claws can with cigarette butts at our door. Needless to say I didn’t want to go in, but we did and it smelled disgusting. I went to the front desk. Due to a room having maintenance done, we were able to change rooms after a few hours. The staff is extremely nice, but the facility leaves a lot to be desired. Would NOT stay there again…even for free!!

Wish it could have been better
I really wanted to like this hotel. It has a lot going for it: a good location, a friendly staff, a nice looking pool. However, there were too many issues to ignore. The outdoor pool was cloudy and had an extension cord running alongside it. The indoor pool was okay, but the hot tub was empty. The room was partially in a state of disrepair with ceiling cracks, holes in the wall, and cheap looking construction. The hallway smelled like garbage for most of the day (no smell in the room though). The breakfast was just okay. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and clean and it was quiet. We slept well, but ultimately I wouldn't book here again unless they make some major renovations.

just an overnight trip
overall it was nice, but the faucet on the jetted tub was loose, I only got hot water and warm water, and the water in the indoor and outdoor pool seemed cloudy. The value was not worth the price that I paid for the room.
However, I did have a restful and quiet night. The bed was very comfortable.

My room door wasn’t secure, it locked but didn’t close all the way. Security issue!!!
Breakfast was poor. Food didn’t appear fresh. Dining area unappealing, plain, lacked fr sh decor. Not enough tables and seats for dining. Orange juice machine broken, had to get a staff person to address it. Coffee horrible! Only white sugar available.

Nice area. Wish the sink was inside the bathroom, no place to put toiletries while inside bathroom. Maybe a small table will do. No elevator so make sure you are capable to go up & down stairs or request lower level. Breakfast was good.

Dont wastw your money. My partner and I didn’t end up staying after being checked in for less than an hour. The room was dirty and smelt like cigarette smoke. Not a great experience and this hotel needs to be shut down due tonlack of cleaning.

Property was nice. Rooms were clean. Only (2) comments. We arrived late and card keys did not operate to open exterior doors. Found a door propped open that we were able to get in. Bathroom sink was not operating well and was leaking. Did not have time to tell front desk.

Girls night getaway
Although it is currently under renovation it didn't effect our stay, we where disappointed that the hot tub was not in use but the beds were extremely comfortable. I have stayed here many times and will be back again I'm sure.

Jacuzzi tub was small and old, room was comfortable, beds were great, had everything as requested. Stairs to upstairs a little rickety. Continental breakfast was just ok. Never used indoor pool but looked clean. I’d rent here again.

Great stay
We came to for a quick 1 night stay for the half marathon. We would have stayed for longer if we could! Customer service was great. The room was very clean and loved the town house suite with two floors. The beds were also very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back at some point soon!

I liked finding quiet places to read or watch tv outside of my room. The roses and flowers on the property were lovely and the parking was excellent. I liked having 2 floors and a huge tub on the second floor. The staff were kind and friendly too. I was dismayed by the water stained ceiling tiles in common areas and that the jacuzzi was empty by the indoor pool. I was surprised that there were no dressers or bureaus on either floor and there was no hand soap dispenser in the upstairs bathroom. I liked the soap dispenser and the shampoo/ conditioner dispensers in the downstairs bathroom, what a nice idea! The fan up stairs was really loud and it was hard to sleep with the noise so I just turned it off.

Disappointing
Front desk staff was lovely and very efficient at check in/check out. Property is cleary dated tho said to be renovating, although we did not see evidence if this. Cleanliness was excellent, but it was a premium price to pay for a dated space with one closet having no door, and the other with doors hanging off & inoperable.

This property was walking distance to the passenger ferry to Martha’s Vineyard (1 mile). The hotel was clean but needs to be updated. The breakfast consisted of processed foods and very little fresh items such as fruits. I only had the coffee. Staff was friendly and attentive.

My family has stayed at the Admiralty Inn for over 20 years, and this is the first stay that was not pleasant. The hotel is being renovated, so our first room was in the section that hasn’t been updated yet and it was incredibly uncomfortable. The lights all had very bright bulbs, the air conditioner was loud and the sheets on the bed felt like printer paper. When we requested a new room, the staff reluctantly let us transfer, and the new room was upgraded but lacked towel rods in the bathroom, the faucet for the sink was loose and spit out brown water when turned on, and the TV didn’t work properly. (This may seem petty, but it’s the small things that can make a difference when you are staying somewhere.) The upgrades to the rooms felt very cheap. Also, there were barely any chairs at the pool so guests were either bringing in their own chairs or taking them from the patios of other rooms near the pool area. I’m not sure I would stay here again, which is disappointing because our family has so many memories from this hotel, but overall it wasn’t a great experience for a long weekend.

The hotel is pretty outdated looking, the room looks like it's from the 70s. No central light so room was pretty dark even when the shades were open. Basic accomodations in the room - TV didn't have a very good picture but has basic cable. Plenty of towels. Coffee maker and fridge. Room was clean. Hotel has 2 pools which was nice and free breakfast is pretty good but breakfast room is very crowded. Staff is polite. The location was the best part, we were about 15 minutes to everything we wanted to see. Will probably book elsewhere next time we go back to the Cape but good place to stay if you're looking for a basic hotel at a reasonable price.

Good but bring extra fans!!
We rented one of the townhouse suites with spiral staircase for 5 guests, we all fit just fine but the A/C could have been a lot better. The A/C unit on the first level was not very strong, and the unit on the loft level was a floor unit tucked in the corner that you couldn't move or touch, and did not properly cool the whole room. We had to stand directly in front of it to feel the air. The bathroom upstairs was very hot as a result. Beds were comfortable though and the pool was nice, we'd go back and just make sure we bring extra fans and other cooling supplies.

Once glorious, now just ok’ish!
VERY poor internet. Stayed in a half completed refurbished room (it just needed to be completed). No mirror, etc. TV would just turn on by itself at any time of the day (no joke)! I stayed at this hotel in the 1990’s and it was “the place” to stay! Now, it has just being patched up by different owners! It need to be gutted and redone! They are sort of trying but it would take millions to bring back it’s former glory!

The lady we had to check in was next to horrible. I called 2 months in advanced to book and appt. And because I am only 19 I asked if I could be 18 to book which I was given the answer yes. Only to find out that when we arrive she would no longer let us check in and stay. So cold and rude.

The property is newly renovated, but they didn't clean up completely after the remodel, still drywall dirt in the corners of the bathroom, sticker still on the tub. Otherwise clean bed, clean towels, etc.

Love the suites, our daughter (11) particularly liked her own princess tower up the spiral staircase with the jacuzzi tub. Only complaint was that Wi-Fi was poor in the room. Excellent staff

Presently under renovation. Workers outside our room at 7:40am on a Sat. using a drill. They did stop when I opened the door and told them we were sleeping. Lots of construction material around inside hallway.

Recently renovated room
Our room was spacious and modern with all the amenities - fridge, microwave, large TV and separate sink outside the bathroom. Pre-season price was reasonable. Parking was somewhat limited as there was only one entrance on the opposite side of building so we had to walk around with our luggage. Since we only stayed one night, it wasn’t bad but would be less than ideal if you have a lot of bags to carry.

Great Hotel!
This was a really nice and surprising place to stay for the night. You have both an indoor exit and an outdoor exit to the room and your car is parked under an awning. They actually serve breakfast which is unusual now-a-days, so make sure you take advantage of this. Clean room and very good service!

Unfortunately, the word that comes to mind for this hotel is a 'dump'. Walking down the hallways, the floors are spongy and uneven. The ice maker was broken and we had to walk all around the hotel to find a working one. The rooms haven't been renovated in a very long time. The faucet on the tub was broken: it was no longer attached to the tub itself - it just sort of flopped lifelessly from the side. The door from the room to the courtyard didn't close all the way. I only saw one staff member the whole time. She was at the front desk when we checked in. We found no one at the desk when we tried to check out.

Quiet, comfortable beds, large room, very dated with rigged maintenance (ie: painted over wallpaper and it's now rippling on wall). No luggage stand/s, tv only showed a partial screen.
It's close to wood hole where ferry to Martha's vineyard is and close to restaurants, beach. Let us check in early so overall was a comfortable stay.

Nice comfy spacious room. Towel exchange went well. Grab and go breakfast. Easy to sores and activities. I would stay here again.
