Photos of shows in lobby. Quiet hotel. Clean. Front desk staff very nice and professional. Walkable to the redline. 3 Restaurants within a block. Purchase broadway show tickets next door. Breakfast was self-serve: egg, potatoes, sausage, bread/pastries, yogart, cereal, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, tea.

The staff were so accommodating! Valet took extra good care of us. Hotel rooms had tall ceilings & were so beautiful and clean. Complimentary breakfast was good. Location was great! Within walking distance of everything - restaurants, theatre, shopping, millennium center. We will choose this hotel over and over again for our future visits!

Breakfast Area needs to be much Clean at 06:30am
Rooms were very clean & comfortable, pretty good in condition. location too was very good, only issue was Cleanliness at their Dinning area.
One family was enjoying their dinner by about 9:00pm and no one took care to clean the entire dinning area, almost all tables were I cleaned in the morning at 06:20 I went to get a cup of Hot Chocolate; they do have 3 Trash Cans right near to the front desk & dinning area, all 3 were full, tables & under the tables you can see food all over, you can clearly spot the stains of dried coffee which no one mopped. Their Person who was handling the breakfast came at 06:30am and started to clean the Trash and refill the breakfast quickly and by the time he can clean Tables, people had no choice rather than taking tables for themselves.
I’ve worked as a Front Desk Manager at the Best Western & at Country Inn & Suites doing all Night Shifts and I know that breakfasts time is something that the guest wants to have it in clean area where being a Hilton as a brand failed at this property.

Such a cool historical building. Lots of great restaurants and shopping close by. The Bean is just down the street. It’s not a luxury hotel, but certainly has a great staff and clean rooms.

Beautiful Historic comfortable
Beautiful historic building in walking distance to the Christkindle market. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect size for our family of three (two queen room). We would love to stay again.

Weekend stay, prime location
We stayed the weekend to attend a wedding and our stay was fantastic. You can't beat the location downtown chicago! Close to everything. All employees were very friendly and our room had plenty of space.

Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel. The location is excellent for the theater district.
While it is an old historic building, the room we were in was modern and updated. The bathroom was spacious with multiple towel hooks and bars. The water pressure wasn't as strong as we'd like, but at least it was hot. One minor gripe about the sink was that the faucet didn't extend far enough over the basin, so the water splashed all over the back of the vanity.
The room was fairly quiet, although we could hear doors banging and some voices when people talked loudly. The pillows were too cushy and feathery for our tastes. The number of USB ports and outlets for charging devices was great! One suggestion is to have nightstands that have drawers for storage. The "nightstands" next to the bed were merely shelves with limited space.
Be aware that rooms have small refrigerators but no microwaves. I read that you can get a microwave delivered to your room if you ask. Free breakfast is served in the lobby from 6:30-9:30 am. Selection was decent, however flavor-wise it was just meh. We've had much better breakfast at other hotels.
We would stay there again for the convenience and location. There are plenty of parking structures 2-4 blocks away.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was walkable to so many stores and transit lines. Hotel was clean and I did not have any issues. It was my first time in Chicago and I love everything about the city including this hotel.

Sofia was rude at check-in. Parking was a nightmare. Lobby was on 4th floor. We may have to change rooms tomorrow. Staff unable/unwilling to accommodate simple request. Coffee maker was broken.

Great place to stay! Theater district, clean, comfortable rooms and a great staff from the check-in desk to housekeeping. Room rate's were reasonable, too. Considered the historic Palmer House but reviews made me rethink my choice. Glad I picked the Hampton Inn Majestic! Will certainly returning the future.

Very small lobby on the 4th floor. Loved the location of the hotel, walked everywhere morning, noon and after dark with our two kids and felt very comfortable. Loved access to public transportation as well, trains, busses nearby which were great to use, kids enjoyed that a lot. Breakfast was often running out of things, almost no healthy choices, limited vegetarian offerings for warm food. Beds were comfortable. Room was dark but spacious enough. Clean bathroom. Good room darkening curtains. Needed noise machine on for street noise at times (parade one night). They have valet but you can use parking apps to find MUCH cheaper local parking for your stay if you are comfortable walking a few blocks. Overall great stay.

Vacation in Chicago
Very quiet for being downtown. Extremely convenient to theaters, the art museum, public transportation and resteraunts. Clean and felt safe. The breakfast was great. Our only criticism is there is no place to sit outside; no patio, balcony or even bench outside.

Unacceptable stay
We did not have a working toilet for the entirety of our stay and I don’t think we were the only ones on our floor. We called the front desk, we stopped down and talked to them repeatedly because we had to use the public bathroom in the lobby for 3 days, 2 nights. Ridiculous. No offer to switch our room - they gave us a plunger to try to fix it ourselves. We kept being told there was no engineer on staff so they couldn’t help. How can you book rooms when the bathroom is unusable?

We had a 2-night stay at Hampton Inn and we were very pleased overall. Clean, well-appointed rooms with very high ceilings. Breakfast was great with a hot food buffet and other choices. We were very impressed by the staff who were all very attentive and super cordial. The only thing that bothered us a bit was hearing people from the next room, but they were talking very loudly. In general, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for convenience and quality.

Was not so happy abput being woke up at 6:30 am by the hotels own staff on megaphones and drums picketing the building after paying 189 dollars for the night.

The sticker shocker was the exorbitant fees on parking. When I booked it was mentioned Parking available and at the time of booking there was no mention of additional parking charges for Valet. When I ask if there is any option to self park I was not guided well enough. So that did leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Average hotel. When checking in was not offered water or told about breakfast availability. Wonder if front desk didn't like I went through Expedia. My friend booked direct and was treated better, water, breakfast times, explained sign out time. Morning desk was was much better, wanting to help in getting my car. An ok hotel.

For the price, the room was small and without a view. The staff was friendly and helpful so that is a plus. However, the breakfast was a mess: paper plates, extremely crowded and no fresh cut fruits. The gym was outdated and some machines did not work. Again, for the price, it's just not high quality overall.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay here- we used the valet parking because it was convenient, and it was. The two ladies at the front desk were outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful as well, and the woman in charge of it was amazing!

Rude concierge
Initially everything was great. They allowed us to drop our bags at the desk early (we had an early event) and it wasn’t time to check in yet. Unfortunately the concierge was very rude- glaring, threatening that the cops would give us a ticket for the parking, and instead of giving any instructions- he kept sighing, rolling his eyes, shaking his head, and repeating that it was wrong- however we were in the concierge drop off zone and lined up with the other cars. It truly felt targeted as we were a car full of women. He went as far as to walk away, went and got the front desk gal and they both stood there watching us- still in our car with no instructions- simply mad and judging.
That gal was great before that interaction but afterwards was equally as short and rude.
When we returned from our event- a different front desk gal was very sweet (thick glasses), and the gal after that- Clarissa I believe, was delightful. The late night front door staff were kind as well.
The morning had the original gal and she was nice again, but we were all uncomfortable about the concierge again. This time he talked about how this was interrupting his bathroom break and he needed to pee. Rude and aggressively.
It is hard for me to see why they’d hire such an awful example of hospitality for the day shift. Next time- if we return to that hotel- we’ll pay the $50 to park our car in the lot next door and save the extra $15 he charged, as well as our sense of safety.

When traveling, we love staying at Hampton Inns. We were in Chicago to see a concert this weekend. This is an awesome hotel in a beautiful building. The front desk staff are AMAZING and deserve high praise. The location is great, too. Breakfast was nice and delicious, too. My only complaint is that we didn’t have hand soap for our sink in the bathroom.
Will stay here in the future without a doubt.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Majestic Theatre! The staff were very friendly & helpful. The property was well-maintained. The location was very handy for our downtown Chicago getaway. The afternoon cookies were a nice touch--a big hit with our middle schooler!

Close to downtown shopping and parks, we parked and walked everywhere. Very friendly staff. We arrived early and they held our luggage. The lady running the breakfast area was fantastic! She was super friendly and upbeat while keeping up with the busy morning crowd. No parking BUT the valet staff was super helpful.

Perfect family stay
