Nice location and very safe and close to everything and buses are very accessible anywhere you want to go. Close to Waikiki Beach and International Market Place and close to restaurants and shopping.

The 2 rooms that were suites were on top of the tour bus stop running 24 hours a day . They should disclose that .. never would stay there again.

I really liked the staff workers. They were really nice and when we needed anything, they came right away.
My mom is handicap. There were no bars in the bathroom like the ad said there would be. There was only a wood bar on the shower with no gaps to hold. The sofa bed was hard and you could feel the springs. We had to put extra blankets so we could sleep.
Everything else was good.

We chose the hotel because of the proximity to the beach, restaurants, etc, and we weren't disappointed in that regard. It's very centrally located and within easy walking distance of many things in Waikiki. The drawback with that is the rooms were very loud at night, especially rooms facing the street. You could hear every muscle car, loud conversation, drunken celebration, outside. The location and ambient noise isn't the hotel's fault, but if you're looking for a good night's rest, this probably isn't the hotel for you.
The reason we would never come back here was the cleanliness/smell/overall condition. We booked two hotel rooms on the same floor. The kids room had a pretty funky smell, but was passable. Our room was so foul smelling, I literally gagged. I'm talking cesspool/rotten garbage disposal bad. They were able to move us to a room on a different floor (not convenient having family on a different floor, but o well)... it also smelled funky, but at least I could bear being in there. The rooms were pretty dilapidated too... you expect a minimum standard of cleanliness and upkeep in a Marriott, and this was pretty beat up. Overall, pretty disappointing... even with the good location we will definitely stay elsewhere on our next trip to Oahu.

Ok property
When we arrived we were given a room directly in front of the elevators so we asked for a different room. The different room bolt lock was not working and the safe was almost completely ripped out of the wall. So we get to a 3rd room and the refrigerator wasn’t working! We settled with this room and an engineer swapped a working fridge. Room was ok could be cleaner. Rooms definitely need upgrade and cleaning could be better. I noticed that the bathrooms in the premises in lobby and swimming pool hasnt been clean all day. Saw my Coffe cup I threw in the garbage in the morning still in the same garbage in the evening. That goes to tell me they don’t clean or wipe down common areas. Every night was a band playing next to property until 1-2 am. Plus side great property. Easy access to in and out of Waikiki. Close to everything. Location great. Will I come back to this hotel? Maybe.

Mediocre stay
This hotel was very ordinary. Normally Courtyard by Marriott is a great choice but this one not so good. We had 3 rooms and all three had bad smells that were off-putting. The hot water was iffy at best. The beds were comfortable which helps with rating in my book. There was an outside gate below us that was extremely noisy all day and often at night which was irritating. Conveniently located in Waikiki as things were within walking distance. We would probably not stay there again as there are many other choices of places to stay.

Very nice hotel, close to everything
We ran out of facial tissues and eventually found housekeeping who had a box. We did have to request housekeeping stop in to clean as we were told every other day. It was the Honolulu Marathon weekend so we did understand an exceptional flow of tourists/customrs.

Clean, staff helpful. Valet service was exceptional. Great location. Only disappointment was the room is listed by Expedia as deluxe with 290 sq ft and a king size bed. Room was maybe half that size with queen bed. All in all I was happy with experience.

We liked that the hotel was in a centralized location. The staff was nice. We stayed in the other building(not the main one). Our room smelled moldy, and looked nothing like photos online.We kept the balcony open throughout our stay, and this helped a little. The microwave and everything in the room was dated. We had a great stay. Everyone was really nice and I received good customer service. Our sink was clogged but the hotel fixed the problem within the hour. The area was very close to everything. Will stay here again.

Rough stay
This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at this hotel this year and it was not the greatest experience. We were off to a bad start from check-in. If you get room 1450-1453 be prepared to haul your suit cases up a flight of stairs. The elevator for that room stops at floor 12. The bed in 1452 is terrible. Sleep on the couch.

The property was relatively convenient to walk to shops, food, beach, etc.
the staff were kind and very helpful.
Was not happy that our room was in a second tower we needed to walk across the parking lot to get to.
When we arrived, no shower curtain in bathroom. Tub was peeling, and couch was covered with stains. The main tower was clean, however swim area seating and cushions were also stained and appeared icky.
The floors in tower 2 lobby were rarely mopped. Old food and dirt layed on common walkways 5 days of our visit.

They added a large extra fee that was totally unsupported and I had to call and talk to a front office staff person who debated with me. Finally after insisting the fee be waived, she did.

It was only ok
There was an issue with my card and instead of sending an email or a call or text, they locked my friend out of the room. I had just talked to someone at the desk the day before and nothing was said. All they needed was for me to ok for them to charge more to my card. And instead of telling me that on the phone, I had to come all the way back to the hotel to just tell them it was ok.

My wife and I have enjoyed this property as a staycation destination for a decade now. This time, they put us in the rear tower and told us it was an upgrade. It was actually noisy with loud neighbors until midnight and the room was cramped and not conveniently located by the hotel lobby.
The next day it was hard to get assistance with anything we needed in a timely fashion. We will check out other hotels in Waikiki the next time we staycation.

The hotel was exactly what you would expect it to be. It was clean, the staff was friendly, it was your typical "business trip vibe" hotel. It is definitely designed for short stays. The sliding glass doors for the balcony are not soundproof so you hear everything going on outside. Kuhio is a pretty busy street so you can't help it. You hear the crazies yelling til 4am, cop sirens, loud music, etc. our room was very clean however, the second we stepped inside, we instantly smelled mildew. Walking on the carpet barefoot, it felt like the carpet was wet or had been shampoo'd but not been completely dried. Which told us that that's where the smell was coming from. We only stayed 2 nights so it was bearable. There is barely any street parking in the area so we did valet which is $55/day. A little expensive but it was convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our mini staycation and will definitely be back soon.

I am writing this letter to express my deep disappointment with the quality of service we received during our stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the experience we had was far from what we expected and left us with a sour taste in our mouths.
Firstly, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of proper communication between the reservations and valet teams. Upon our arrival, we had entrusted our bags to the valet team to take care of them until our room was ready. However, we were shocked to find our bags left out in the sun, unprotected and exposed to the elements. This was a highly discouraging experience as we trusted that our belongings would be taken care of in a safe and secure manner.
Secondly, we were appalled to find out that we were charged extra for a minivan that was the same size as other vehicles in the same structure. This seemed like a clear case of unfair pricing, and it is unacceptable that the hotel would engage in such practices.
Overall, we are extremely disappointed with the level of service we received at this hotel. We sincerely hope that you can address these issues promptly and ensure that your guests have a more positive experience in the future.

I didn't know what to expect from this property. I didn't see a parking lot online. So, I was unsure if we were able to park our car there. I wasn't aware about a different tower. It would have been helpful to have us in the same tower as the front desk and main pool considering we had little ones. Which by the way who were kicked out by one of the spa staff with no signage. Apparently they were being rude to my other half who was told "they are not allowed to use this pool."

I like this hotel it has a nice location and seems well maintained. The even seemed to be working on new possible renovations. I know because the crew was in the hall very early in the morning with a cart laughing and making noise. The staff seemed shocked that this would be a bad thing and tried to make excuses for them being from the east coast. I am not sure what that even means I am from the east coast but don’t like to be woken up at 6 am. Not cool but otherwise I had a great stay at this location and I would not hesitate to return here.

some things could probably get an upgrade. Like the beds the comforters , they felt like plastic on the skin. And the mattress was very hard on the back not comfortable at all.. the extra charging of the amenities should be included with the booking payment before arrival.

We were told that the rooms had been renovated. The photos of the rooms on line are nothing like what we stayed in. The bathtub was filthy, had stains where something was once glued to the bottom of the tub. The bathroom also needed a vent. The window was cracked open for ventilation but it was basically useless. It needed to be opened more. The HVAC unit on the balcony blew heat and made sitting outside uncomfortable. There were only 3 lights in the room. The coffee pot was too small, there was not enough sweetener or creamer for a decent cup of coffee without opening multiple bags since there was only one pack of sugar or sweetener in each one. The walls in the room had water stains, most likely from the poor ventilation causing condensation on the them. The cable line up sux, only about 12 channels. The 1st 2 days calling the front desk was not possible as they never picked up either when we dialed 0 or called from our cell phones. When I went down and asked them about it, miraculously they started answering when we called. Not what I expected from a Marriott at all. Only good thing was the staff being very nice and the location and walkability to the main strip, and the beach.

The property itself is beautiful, the amenities are great. The only part of my stay that was terrible was the staff. These staff need proper training, even the manager was questionable. We stayed for 5 nights and everytime I approached the front desk they made me feel like a burden. They displayed favoritism towards their white customers. And also displayed favoritism towards their older customers. I am in early 30’s and noticed a difference in tone when it came to all the staff especially the front desk between me and customers in their late 40’s and over. I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed especially because these staff members are not old at all so they should now how to carry themselves accordingly!

This Marriott Courtyard was below standard, comparable to a motel 6. The space was extremely small, the shower was in need of calking. The drapes and sliding glass door were difficult to open. The air conditioning unit was old. Did not meet my expectations of a Marriot.

We were given a room in the older tower. And it is definitely old, our room looked nothing like the pictures of our one bedroom suite and no king bed. They did move us right away but still no king bed, still old. This hotel is really in need of a complete overhaul. The windows are soo thin I can hear complete conversations on the ground below. The salt water pool has no stairs to get in. The couch in our room was filthy with stains all over. I was really surprised this was a courtyard. The staff is extremely friendly, that was a plus. Oh and the elevator broke down one day and we had to climb the stairs. And to top it off, when I booked this hotel did not charge any resort fees. Well guess what, they do now, and it was snuck into my bill.

A wonderful getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel staff/valet and stay. The open air concept was very nice. The only set back was the small shower, but we made it work. I would visit again for sure.

Upon checking in i was told my 4:00 check in was going to be late due to the fact they honor late check outs and that put a delay on my room. This is not acceptable to me, if I’m paying for and have reserved my room i expect it to be ready for me at the time it’s promised, it’s not my fault they honor late check outs and fell behind. Then they tried to give me a double bed when i reserved a queen/king?? Really??? Order then that, i love the place and will return for me stay-cation again

Not the same Courtyard Waikiki Beach
Service was pleasant, front desk staff were very accommodating. The hotel itself is very dated; air conditioning in room, tv in living room and shower/bath was not working. Had our room changed twice and encountered the same issues. Pool was extremely warm and it never cooled you off in the hot weather. Courtyard is in a dire need of deep and thorough renovation. We’ve stayed here numerous of times throughout a span of a decade and this last stay was indeed the most disappointing. Great location in the Waikiki core area but unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros.

Pool and bar awesome. The bathroom needed remodeling. First room had a generator for AC not good! Room did not get cleaned until after 3rd day but after I told the front desk ! The toilet paper did not get replaced.

We had a room on the 12th floor and could see the mountains peaking out behind the downtown area. It was cool to sit out on the balcony and watch the sunrise. The bedding was comfy. There is not daily housekeeping so we could’ve used more clean towels. The pool and hot tub were nice. The breakfast place is overpriced.
