Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic! 30 seconds to the beach - several restaurants/bars within a few minutes walk - 2 miles from downtown which is also walkable with sidewalks the whole way. The beds are super comfy! To be picky, it could have been a bit cleaner but it was just fine for us. Breakfast was simple but very good - the coffee was excellent. All of the staff that we dealt with were extremely nice and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the Jacksonville area.

Stay was excellent. We’ve stayed here before and never been disappointed. The check in is always so easy and we had an oceanview from our room. The Inn is remodeling and it looks great. We will be back.

The hotel never said they were remodeling, otherwise I wouldn't have booked. The decaf coffee in the machine never worked, the pancake machine was not working for 2 days. I had to listen to pounding (construction) and workers all over. Hotel staff was nice

I was informed at check in that room service would only be provided after 3 days. If I needed any towels or other amenities it was up to me. Facility was being remodeled. Inconvenient parking and bad communication. Breakfast was marginal with few choices.

Beds were great. Facility was a little dated (carpet in elevator badly stained). Refrigerator was not cooling -warm. Door lock was problematic - rarely worked with less than 5 tries. Closet door came out of track first time opening it.
Breakfast was very good. It was quiet, located near beach, and state park. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Kayla at the desk is always so friendly and competent. Love working with her. Brenda that keeps the breakfast going is the best. Not only getting delicious food out , but also making sure the place is 100% clean. Brenda works hard with a smile. Needless to say we will return.

Great place to stay on Amelia Island
From the time we booked our stay we were welcomed with open arms!! My 2 sisters and I stayed two nights. We drove from Texas to attend our stepfather's funeral. We arrived late at night and were greeted as if we had been there many times before. The front desk staff was wonderful. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and plan to stay there again the next time we are on the island.

This property was right next to Fort Clinch , and that’s exactly what I wanted! All of the staff was super helpful, never had bad attitudes. The rooms were extremely clean, and overall would stay here again!

Staff is attentive and boy do they ever scrub those hallways! Rooms are very tired. Carpets stained although clean. Beds are comfy but pull out couch is only comfortable for a smal child. Couch stained. Bathrooms clean but old and leaky. TV was acting up. Breakfast is typical. One of the kitchen staff keeps an eye on you. A little weird. Only one pool towel in the bin for 5 days. Good location. A couple of good restaurants nearby. The main beach is across a small street and parking lot. Right next to Fort Clinch. Downtown is a 5 minute drive.

My husband and i especially enjoyed the luxurious, quality bedding and pillows. So comfy, we slept for hours and hours!
The staff were awesome! I have to give a special shout out to Mrs. Brenda, the kind lady who made the breakfast buffet! She really does an amazing job at cooking the different foods, and the presentation is wonderful. She keeps it fully stocked and clean. Best hotel breakfast we've ever had!
The front desk staff were also amazing and helpful!
My family visits Amelia Island several times a year. We will definitely be back to stay at this Comfort Inn!

The rooms were not very clean. The 1st room we were put in there was dead bugs on the floor and brown stains on the bed. The 2nd room the sheets were on backwards and dirty underwear and bras in the bathroom. The floors were full of sand and food cumbs.

We had human hairs on our bed , not ours, mold growing on the floor on one side of the bed, but worst of all was a toilet that would not flush! Not clogged, just drained water & nothing else! I told the front desk & the girl offered me a plunger! Not help, but a plunger to use! We basically had no toilet to use for our one day/night stay. My wife had to go to the lobby & use that toilet! I asked for another room , denied, I asked for some sort of rebate, denied.

The location of the property is great 5 min walk to the beach and a gas station right next door. As for the room the door was terrible to unlock my room key kept going blank so had to reset it over 5 times. Every time it took like 3-5 mins to get into our room. Then I booked the room for 5 people but was only allowed to have 4 towels so had to exchange my towels every time to be able to make sure we all got towels to shower with! Super annoying!

Overall our stay was great! My sons birthday was the 4th so the staff sang happy birthday to him as we had a little party in dining area. The staff was so friendly and nice!! Only problem was the sheets on the pullout bed were disgusting. I never complained or let the front desk know but I did get more sheets and blankets for this. Will definitely be back to stay!!

The location of the hotel was convenient to the beach and in a good spot to be close enough to some restaurants, but far enough to be quiet at night. The room was not the cleanest. Also, the room was very damp. The beds felt damp after a night’s sleep and there was even mild on the AC showing there was a lot of moisture in there. Our clothes never dried from the beach and towels didn’t dry from showers.

No directions how to use coffee pot. Not enough toilet paper. Had to ask for roll. Reading lights did not turn on. Safe was locked so could not use it. Have to ask for room service? No way!! Need light above sofa. Only one tiny piece of soap to wash hands. No shower caps. Frig worked well as did A/C. I had hard time squeezing body wash in shower. Need hand rail on long wall not just on shower wall for safety.

The room isn’t what I consider clean. I don’t mind the lack of housekeeping, but when I put my card out for clean towels, I got nothing. I only asked for two more towels, should have been an easy request. Breakfast was ok. The location, a block off the ocean was great, but when booking a “suite”, was thinking I’d get an ocean view, but no such luck.

So. Lots of choices in this area. This hotel is “safe”. But why stay here? The money buys you far better location at other places. And the only amenitiy is a pool that closes at 5pm?? You’re basically paying for a really below average upgrade to sleeping in your car and the host is unknowledgable, unwelcoming and bland. 0 personality. Complete waste. But grateful for clean sheets. I’m came to sing at a corporate event and not knowing much about the area, next time staying downtown.

The best part of the stay was Ivory who worked the front desk. She was simultaneously handling people checking in, phone calls, and fixing various issues customers were having.
The best part was when she was able to fix the charging stations in the parking lot as they weren’t working.
Without a doubt, she was the best part of my family’s stay.

The room is bigger but when we walked in the room the table and toilet are filthy. My husband had to clean the tables and bathroom. He left the cleaning supplies they provided for us outside our room and nobody had picked it up until we left the following day.

Not a good room for wheelchair/mobilty scooter use
Although the room was “wheelchair accessible” there were no other accommodations in that room or bathroom to make it user friendly other than a wide bathroom door. No safety rails and no place available to mount them (sample pictures showed rails). Also, who determined that the third floor was a good location? It is well known that in case of a fire or other emergency you are directed to use the stairs and not the elevator. The bed was so high your feet dangle about eight inches over the side sitting up. Not for short or disabled persons.

Room was outdated . I got a suite that was terrible. Bathroom sink drain was broke, room was not clean and many more things wrong. We left a 2 page list of problems with the desk clerk when we checked out. We will never stay there again.

There was a cigarette butt in the pool. We couldn’t get any extra towels even though we brought our used towels to them to switch. Beds were comfy. Convenient to the beach. Side and back door weren’t working for the key. Room smelt musky.

This is the 4th time I stayed at this property because of the location and was always satisfied before. However, this time (March 2023), housekeeping was pretty much non-existent. We stayed 6 nights and had to ask for room service. On the 3rd day we went to front desk for towels and we're told that there was no housekeeping person and they would see what they would do as they had 35 check outs. We never got them. On the 4th day - after asking they came in and made the bed - didn't change the sheets and also gave towels. They didn't dump they overflowing garbages. We specifically asked for more toilet paper, Kleenex and body wash and didn't get any after filling out the card and hanging it on our door. We had to go down when we got back at 11:00 at night and track someone down to get some. We had a late flight and asked for a late check out. Even though I'm a choice points member, since I booked through a third party vendor we were told no. I understand that they are short on help however they did not discount the room - we still had to pay so it is up to them to provide the service one way or the other! Very disappointed...

This place needs some TLC
Thank Goodness we were exhausted troopers that didn't want to cause a fuss, but we should have. We booked this trip for our 5 yr anniversary and were super excited to stay right next to the beach. The Staff was so friendly and Kind I feel bad writing this review. But my issue is with the condition of the hotel and what they charge for what you receive. They met our request to have a decent view, and we did; We could see the ocean from our room! Our room however was frankly gross. Gross in the sense of little things that got overlooked or just weren't fixed. We had dirty sheets (Someone elses blood??), questionable splatters all over the place, and obvious Wear N Tear on the walls that needed to be fixed. We didn't want to bother the staff because in 4 days we saw the same 2-3 faces and they looked exhausted. We managed to overlook the issues in hopes of just wanting to enjoy our weekend together. But for $150 a night, I shouldn't have to ask for a clean, maintained room. I had high hopes since everyone left such high reviews, but I absolutely did not see them. Also, don't get me started on the INSANELY POOR water pressure & gross breakfast.

We were fortunate to get a third floor room with a fine view of the sea. The room was spacious and comfortable.
For the breakfast, they need to get decent napkins and utensils! What they had was inferior.

Nice and neat, bed was comfortable, sheets were great.
However, the sink in the bathroom was not clean. (Hair from a man trimming his beard was all over the counter and sink) Mirror had film over the entire surface.

Although the rooms and beds are nice and well-appointed, and the location is prime, they are not worth the nearly 300 bucks per night that we paid. Showers had one setting, which is "firehose" (not at all "EcoFriendly). Breakfast not as good as it used to be.

Stayed 3 nights, never got my room cleaned, towels changed, bed made or trash emptied. No coffee replacement, 100% no service! I stayed years ago there and it was great, must have changed ownership and went to be a "dump" not worthy to be part of Choice Hotels.

Had paid for three nights and had an emergency so had to leave after two nights. We didnt ask for a refund on the third. Just went ahead and checked out and they are charging us an "early" departure fee! Really? Never asked for a refund on the third night, just wanted to check out and get on the road. And you are gona charge us an early departure fee? Never stay there again and never use Expedia again.

ANTS in our 3rd floor room, MOLD, Leaking Toilette and a front desk that will not give you any extra towels, blankets or pillows! Almost comical how reticent the front desk was at the very THOUGHT of me asking for anything extra - even though the pull out bed does not come with a sheet set in the room! (You are expected to share pillows from the 2 Queens for the pull out bed !!) IF YOU ASK FOR ANYTHIGN MORE YOU WILL BE TOLD YOUR ROOM HAS WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE AND YOU CANNOT HAVE ANYTHING MORE!!!!! There is plenty of parking for the beach so don't pay $180 for this horrible room just for the beach access - This is truly a Motel6/SUPER8 disguised as a Comfort Suite, but with extra bugs and mold! Manager Juan Robles could use some more training on how to run a hotel and treat guests that are paying $180 a night! FYI - Breakfast is over by 9:30 SHARP and the milk and cereal WILL be taken from your kids!! Unbelievable experience! NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!

Amazing staff. We had big NYE plans in Jacksonville, FL on the 31st but decided to go down a day early. Wrong. Every hotel is Jacksonville was completely booked due to the Gator Bowl. The closest hotel was Amelia Island so we left Jacksonville exhausted afyer the extended ride & booked tour hotel online. It was, BY FAR, the easiest. Smoothest check-in Ive ever experienced. We stayed for less than 10 hrs & still enjoyed the experience more than most.

This property was listed as 'pet friendly' on YOUR website. When I got there, late and tired, the clerk told me OH NO, we were NEVER pet friendly. I had to jump through hoops to get a friend to come and get my cat. AND, the room was rather seedy and not at all clean. The bathroom had hair in the tub. It was totally disgusting.

Property is in desperate need of remodel. Elevator makes a loud clanging noise, room was dirty, dusty, airconditioner smells like mildew and is very loud. front door veneer is peeling off, bathroom needs new fixtures and paint coming off tub. Will definitely not stay here again. Few staff so takes long to check in and couldn't find anyone on checkout. Coffee maker didn't work for breakfast
