Location was the only reason we chose to stay. Otherwise, the rooms were deplorable! Looked nothing like the pictures. No curtains on windows, flood lights directly into room from building next door. Just a bed and desk. No lamps, end tables, or curtains. Dirty. Falling apart. Only thing clean were the towels and bedding. Doors deadbolt did not lock. Smelled moldy.

Disgusting…
The only 2 things keeping this hotel going are the staff and location. The staff were very nice and the location was located right by the beach and all the popular bars and club….. the room on the other hand was absolutely disgusting. I even read the reviews before booking and saw that they were not good at all, but I thought, how bad could it really be. The room looked like a dungeon, had a weird smell, there was a huge wad of hair left in the tub’s drain and there was a long black hair in our bed. I guess you really do get what you pay for.

There was no housekeeping during the visit. We had the same dirty towels and sheets during our three night stay. The room had no mirrors, or refrigerator like advertised. We had to ask for toilet paper rolls in which we received a brand new one that was infected with bugs. The bugs had burrowed into the roll. They offered us breakfast each morning that was great however they could not give us any water, not even tap. The staff suggested we purchased water at the CVS next door. We ended up leaving a day early because we were not satisfied.

Nice overnight stay close to the action
We enjoyed our quick stay at the South Beach Plaza Villas. It was a lovely, charming hotel reminiscent of the heyday of Miami Beach. The Ocean Boulevard action was conveniently right around the corner, too!

Keep in mind this place is both a restaurant & a stay - so rating may deceive you.
This is a very basic hotel/motel nothing more than that. If you could opt out of "free selected breakfast" is also recommended. The location and cleanness is the main advantage otherwise nothing unique.

The hotel said that include breakfast! But it’s the last first hotel in the world that served the breakfast when the chef arrived!! They said maybe 10am or 11am served the breakfast, for me it’s crazy and bad service because if you need to leave the hotel at 9 am you cannot take the breakfast!
And other thing it’s the service for the receptionist! It was a bad experience!

Everyone knows South Beach is expensive. This is by no means a luxury hotel (hence the 2.5 star rating) but an affordable place to stay at an excellent location. The hotel is stinky, old, and dirty BUT the location is unbeatable. Staff was nice, beds were comfortable, and it was safe. It’s the south beach experience at a decent price. If you want a nice place to stay, expect to pay $600 and up. I brought my own sheets and pillows and wore sandals and nose plugs the little time I was here LOL. Besides that, just enjoy the beach and party!
(For the owners though: a GOOD cleaning and fresh paint would make a world of a difference)

I booked this property based on location. I knew it didn't have fantastic reviews so my expectations were pretty low going in. We arrived pretty early in the morning and asked if they could hold our bags at the front desk since it was too early to check in. After going back and forth a bit, I think the desk attendant finally understood what we were asking. He sat our bags in the office space by the front desk and mentioned we can check in early around 9 or 10am. We walked around and grabbed some breakfast then headed back to the hotel. A different person was working the front desk. He said we could check in early for a $30 fee. I was okay with that since we really needed to take a nap after flying a red eye. The elevator is super tiny and the door is very slow opening for half of it and then aggressively closes. We got to our room to find it was the tiniest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Our 'partial ocean view' was looking straight in to a window of a hotel room next door. We were getting ready to head out the next morning when someone just comes in to our locked room. It was a lady that works the front desk. She apologized and closed the door. We noticed that we didn't have a remote control for the TV so we stopped by the desk and spoke to the same lady. She apologized again and said she didn't show we were on the reservation. Dealt with that. When we returned, our key didn't work.

The room was really small and honestly had a very bad smell. There was no storage stayed 5 days and it was rough. Towels and toilet paper were difficult to get. There is no mini fridge which is crazy. The staff is very nice and it’s not there fault. The hotel was in a great area

I didn’t get the room I paid for which was a queen bed, we got two full beds hard for a couple to sleep in together. The hotel smelt of mildew and mold and there was mold on bathroom ceiling when we left (no bathroom fan to vent moisture from shower I assume is making that happen) staff was very friendly and the area was on point.

We was traveling with our 1 year old baby. I called the hotel to see if there was anyway to accommodate us to checking in earlier the front desk immediately says If you come now you’ll have to pay $30. That’s so upsetting and what makes it worse is he doesn’t even say “i can only imagine how it is traveling with a baby let me see what i can do to accommodate you”. It was all about the money. The smell of the building is like insects spray products. I’m carrying my baby and have my huge suitcase and stroller etc and nobody offers to help me with it. Arrive to the room and the ceiling looks moldy looks like there was a water leak that wasn’t fixed.

So far this hotel has been the worst hotel my family and I stayed. The bedrooms were extremely dirty (Bedsheets full of sand and stains, bathroom not maintained, stains in the mirror/floor/shower) The room overall looked like it has never been cleaned.

simple rooms- we booked a queen, which came with a mini fridge, had to ask for extra towels as no daily room clean... one free breakfast which is nice.. across the street from beautiful beach... weird smell in lobby/restaurant area and elevator slow as can be.. staff is nice...quick and easy check in and check out... $342 for 4 nights- cannot complain about price ... location is amazing...

Love south beach
Close to everything but hallways stunk so bad you had close your nose to walk through. Staff was always nice and smiling. Beds not very comfortable but doable. No cable t.v it's free antenna t.v and wifi isn't all that great. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not

I only stayed for a night. Did a mini get away. Literally a quick turn. Small- not like pictures but conveniently on ocean dr and was able to walk and Uber/Lyft from/to certain places. Wasn’t perfect but wasn’t too bad. Staff nice.

We were in Miami for an overnight stay before we set sail on a cruise. We wanted to experience South Beach, its restaurants and vibrant streets. This hotel was affordable and convenient for the time we were there. The bathrooms seem to be remodeled. The staff was pleasant. It's an older hotel as most are in this location- but it was clean and affordable for the night we stayed there.

Rooms were dirty. No refrigerator. We had no ice bucket and when we went to ask for one, the lady gave us a plastic cup. There was no roof top access. False advertisements. We asked for a room with a refrigerator to store medication and there was nothing she could do. She said there is no one there to speak with from management. There were webs on the chandelier of my family members room and also hand prints on the back board.

Best Birthday Weekend Ever.
The staff were absolutely amazing! Very simple stay and very clean. I went for my birthday and the staff truly made me feel extra special. Thank you so much to Gilbert who went the extra mile for my special day. The food there is also very delicious! Everything we wanted to do was just walking distance.

The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The area is not too shabby.
What I didn't like is the setup of the bathroom, it's too close to the sink and the door. The TV remote didn't work on the last day of our stay which is no big deal.

As a person who travels with moderate frequency (4-5 times a year), I am able to stay at many hotels and airbnb residences. As such, I’m able to say that this was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything going on in other rooms and outside, there is no room service unless you pay $50 a day for it, the wifi doesn’t work (luckily I was able to connect to the hotel wifi next to us). The staff doesn’t knock when trying to enter rooms, and the rooms snell like mold. The only good thing is the location, but other than that, this hotel is 0 stars.

Don’t like it…everything wasn’t right. Very dirty, old bed, no light from the widow, air conditioner works but was very dirty and the air smells bad. Walls cracked and dirty. Bathroom old, everything broken and a lot of dust everywhere. Don’t recommend. They “help” as with parking for the car, but after 40min waiting we decided to find something by ourselves.

Spent too much money on this room for the terrible conditions inside. Walked in and it smelled like old feet, the carpets and walls looked so outdated, the tub was old and looked rusty and dirty. They couldn’t even get the TV to work after 3 different attempts. No one tried to compensate for the inconvenience. They didn’t even have a single trash can in the whole room. Was expecting way better for the outrageous price. Location was only good thing about it and they gave us free drink vouchers for one drink each.

It is a 2 stars hotel.
I booked this hotel because it was kind of last minute trip and the better options were gone. Only the very expensive hotel were available and this 2 stars hotel. So I chose this hotel. Still not cheap but just not very expensive. When I got to the hotel, around 12pm I was told that I can’t check in until 3pm unless I pay extra $30, so I waited until 3pm. When I checked in the hotel, the room smell weird. I had to buy an air freshener otherwise I don’t think I can stand the smell. It wasn’t a dirty room. The shower space is small and you really hv to be careful so you don’t hit your elbow on the glass and I feel like this shower/bathroom is designed only for skinny people. Lol. The AC worked well. The wifi worked well only if because my room is close to the elevator. But if my friend’s room is deep inside, salute, 1 bar wifi with door open. TV in my room worked well but not my friend’s room. My friend’s room TV doesn’t work because the outlet. They hv the ice bucket in the room, we got the free ice from their restaurant. Just bring your bucket downstairs and ask for ice. We stayed for 4 days, they will give you extra towel and toilet paper if you asked for it - with no cost. But if you asked them to clean your room they might charge you $50 (according to the note posted on the check-in window). The people who worked for the hotel were friendly. The good new is the CVS is right next to it. Very convenient. Also a big parking lot about 2 blocks away max $20 per day.

Good location, but needs work
You’re paying for location, everything else about this place felt off. The doors didn’t close right, could hear people arguing in the room next to me all night, first floor smelled of cigarettes, moisture and mildew, the dumpster outside my window got emptied at 6am on a Sunday so that woke me up, no black out curtains, no working tv, TV was hanging out of the wall, no wifi info provided, floor felt squishy. Friendly enough staff and you’re in the heart of south beach, but yeah, this is basically a bare bones hostel type place for young party dwellers who don’t care about spending time in the room. Sheets were clean, bed was comfy, staff was friendly, and location was good. I think the place needs a cash injection for a building rehab though, focusing on new windows, floors/carpets that aren’t water damaged, TVs, soundproofing, and newly framed doors

To be in a very touristy place, the hotel is in very poor condition, bad smell, bad attention, the photos we saw on the Website had nothing to do with the place, the truth is I would never return to that same place Even if it cost $10 Horrible!

Great location but..

Paid for a partial view. Had a view of the wall of the building next door. No amenities in the room other than soap. Seriously. Hotel had a weird smell. Very unpleasant in the hallways. The room smelled musty and moldy. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Floors were dirty. Only slept a few hours before we couldn’t stand it any longer. Drove home in the middle of the night. Will never return. Just gross all around.

Horrible place.
I was super excited to stay at the The boulevard because of the location right off Ocean Drive . I caught an early flight so I could have the whole day there in South Beach did not realize once I reached the destination that the hotel did not offer a bad check in but they did offer me a $50 early check in so I can put my bags in my room I thought it was a complete rip off. I asked the lady what I was supposed to do with my bags if I didn’t wanna pay the $50 to get into my room early she said that I can walk around with my bags go have lunch and then come back at 3 o’clock and check into my room!! Wow The next day I asked where I could go get ice they told me that I had to come down to the front restaurant to get ice anytime I needed it little bit inconvenience. Asked if I could have a ironing board sent up to the room they told me I had to come down and get it myself and I also asked if I could have some fresh towels brought to my room they told me I needed to bring my old house down and they would bring me some new ones not quite the customer service that I was expecting! Every time I exited the hotel you had to go through a group of servers to get down the stairs they never apologize for being in the way. I definitely would not be staying at that hotel ever again rude and no customer service.

We love staying right on Ocean Drive when we come to South Beach, and that's exactly what the Boulevard Hotel helps provide. Effort has been put into repainting the rooms, but the decor is very sparse. Also the long-term tenants leave a less desirable vibe. Also you can hear a lot of outside noise. Maybe better window coverings??? The outside of the hotel looks great, the food at the cafe was good and you can't get any closer to the beach!!!

Horrible Disgusting Hotel
Horrible, disgusting hotel. Hallway smells like a thousand years of smoke and debauchedy, mixed with chemical warfare. Uncomfortable rooms, bad water pressure, and unfriendly hotel staff. Just a horrible stay. And at $300 a night.

When we arrived, nobody was on reception. It seems that they leave for the night. Nobody answered my calls, so we had to look another hotel in the night. One of the hotel's gests tried to help us to find someone, without success. The next morning, a lady on the reception refused to reimburse what was paid for hotel, and told that there was staff in the hotel yesterday, implying that I was lying. To avoid that hotel

This hotel is the worst i have ever stayed at in Miami. As soon as you enter the hotel the smell is Horrible. We then went to our room that consisted of grey walls, nothing on these walls except for a TV that did not work. Grey walls, two beds…a night stand, a lamp and a table…. That was it! We thought we were in an upgraded jail cell… lol. Everything looked like it came from the thrift store. Then we found a bug crawling on our bed. When we went and told the front desk… he wasn’t surprised at all… he just asked if we wanted a refund or a room change. It was to late to find another hotel so we did a room change. He upgraded us to a suite which was a little bit better but you could tell everything was makeshift. We only had two towels and one washcloth in the room… Terrible HOTEL which cost close to $200 a night….. only good thing is it’s located across the street from the beach…. And in the heart of the south beach action area….

This may be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. There was no real shower door so water was everywhere. No soap dish, hair dryer & the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom. No dresser or anywhere to store clothes. You may request to have your room cleaned for $30. No view. The best part was the location but there was always a stench in the lobby. Staff was friendly too but that’s about it

First room I got was small and the toilet didn’t flush, next room was even smaller. Windows only led to close buildings and alleys, so no ocean views at all. I think hotel should put the actual room pictures because I was pretty disappointed, but still unwilling to take my chances on a different place. Bathroom amenities were man shampoo and conditioner, after my daughter washed her hair I had to go to CVS to get a different shampoo and conditioner because the smell was gross and manly.

Moldy and disappointing
Parking was not onsite it was 2 blocks away. Was asked to stay in a 1 bed room when I booked a 2 bed room. Horrible mold smell and hotel run down. Was like checking into a completely different hotel than what was advertised. Room was not available for early check in although they say rooms are vacant for 24 hrs due to Covid. Was not happy with my stay.

The unique thing about this property manager a that people outside the hotel are smoking weed, the odor reaches the rooms. Every time you leave the parking lot you have to pay $20 to renter! I rented a room for my son and his family and they were scared for their safety. The following day they left ( had to cancel the second night) there were police all over the place since there had been a fatal stabbing right outside the hotel. It seems Miami Beach has become dangerous now. So stay away from this hotel and the area!
