Everyone eas friendly and cheerful despite the renovation going on. The lobby is bright and much improved. Friday night at the pool was fun but it was closed on Saturday.
I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was average. The service was bad. I had to check out a night early. I checked out at 6:30am and they refused to refund me for a night I did not stay. I have checked out of hotels early prior to that without issues. This courtyard is the first to deny me a refund.

Overall, the stay was good and the bed was really comfortable. The downside from the stay is the toilet did not flush well and the shower head was old and would not move to get a good shower. The hotel was a bit expensive to have these issues with the bathroom. I also had an expensive coffee from the Starbucks in the lobby that was lukewarm and definitely disappointing. The hotel was close to my family so I would stay there again if needed.

Stayed here overnight for my husband’s surgery early the next AM. Very close to the hospital & exactly what we had hoped for ! Very nice facility ! Front desk staff very nice & polite but not very informative regarding their facility. Fortunately I have stayed in hotels many times & able to figure out basics 😊

All around poor experience.
One of the reasons we stay at this Hotel us because of the Bistro. The night we checked in they were out of wings. The next morning they were out of breakfast items by 915.
The air conditioner was leaking. The carpet was wet and soaked into my travel bag.
Very disappointed. We’ve been staying there for years but will not be returning.

Winchester courtyard experience
We have stayed here multiple times traveling from Maine to Florida and vice versa. Always a sure thing and you get a good rest, nearby restaurants and if you have time, downtown Winchester is worth the trip.

Great Staff, Beds, Rooms, and QUIET!!!
The beds in this hotel are the best I’ve ever slept in, and I have very good mattresses at home. These are better. I understand they have their own unique mattresses made for them. Just WOW!
It is also a very QUIET hotel, far away from thruways and traffic.
The parking lot makes sense. A lot of hotels have very strange and confusing lots. Not this one.
My only gripe about this hotel is that the food there is very inconsistent. The food is controlled by corporate and they get a lot of things wrong. There is not a REAL restaurant in the building. Their breakfast sandwich is very good, but a simple BLT at dinner was a corporate disaster. Microwaved bacon, tasteless tomatoes, and the worst decision of all—- no mayonnaise on the sandwich— instead they use garlic butter. I love garlic butter but on a BLT it is disaster!
I would recommend not eating dinner here. The General Manager Jose is a wonderful man and very responsive to complaints.
BUT. I WILL BE BACK!! The staff, rooms, and beds are wonderful!!

I specifically booked this hotel for pool and hottub that was listed online. The heater on pool was broken and apparently they do not have a hottub anymore. Very disappointed.

Very friendly staff and check in went very smoothly. Beautiful rooms that are clean and modern. Great food and beverages at the Bistro too. Very convenient when you’re not familiar with the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will plan to stop again when in the area.

Was told when first arriving that since we booked through Expedia, we cannot have breakfast there. Toilet was running constantly had to jiggle the hand to stop it, toilet overflowed. I was asked when we first arrived if we wanted housekeeping and I replied yes and no one came so I had to go to the desk again and request housekeeping. Took pillowcases to front desk and said it looks like mold or mildew to me on the pillowcases. We’re returning that evening From the funeral, I was stopped by the front desk and they went and got their manager and he informed me that it was hair dye. And my comment to him was my husband does not use hair dye! Will not stay there again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent Hotel
I have trouble finding hotels that are animal free. I have a bad allergy. Most hotels do not track their rooms to offer for people even it is pet free because of service animals and the requirement o admit them. I have nothing against service animals but I have to be in an animal-free room. The hotel also had its own restaurant and lounge So everything is available on my stay for me.

Refreshingly Comfortable
The Courtyard by Marriott in Winchester, VA was a truly pleasant experience. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We did experience an issue with the toilet on the third day and the staff went out of their way to not only make it right (in a very timely manner); they also cleaned the room and put everything in its place.

There were a few things that disappointed us.
1.) You have to pay for everything. Coffee, breakfast, snacks, etc.
2.) The indoor pool was disgusting. There was clumps of hair floating around in the pool, and the floors were so dirty.
3.) The toilet in the room would clog no matter what. This was the same with other guests as well.
Otherwise, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The room was clean and the lobby had tv’s and a bar.

Fraud and bad service
Hotel was not what it was advertised many things did not work. There were many amenities which they listed as having which they do not. Customer service lacking and no manager there to handle any issues. Was told they would get back to me at a later date which they have not I would not recommend this hotel unless absolutely pressed for accommodations

It is very conveniently located to the medical center, however it also appears to be popular with wedding parties which makes the bar and lounge very boisterous. As with everywhere, staffing is an issue so responses are slow.

1. Check-in: Had pre-checked in. Desk clerk wanted me to reregister on computer at front desk.
2. Hallways: The 3rd floor was very cold throughout our stay. Felt uncomfortable to be without a coat.
3. Bathroom: Toilet would not flush properly. Sometimes took 3-4x flushes. Very unpleasant. Had to call front desk to ask for plunger as safeguard to avoid run-over. Very poor water pressure in shower, tub flooring quite slippery, toilet paper very thin (False economy? Poor quality means guests use more to make up the difference.)
4. Breakfast: Two of us having breakfast. One order brought out and that diner had FINISHED before the order arrived for the second person.
5. Dining area: My wife and I had to stop our conversation several times. We couldn’t hear ourselves for staff rolling loud wheeled bins down the walkway separating dining area from lounge area. THEN, staff started vacuuming the dining room while we’re still there.
We were in a Courtyard Marriott in S.D. for 10 wonderful days last October.
To say we were disappointed in our stay in this Winchester VA facility is the understatement of the year. We will likely stay at another motel/hotel on our return trip.

Needs better blinds
Nice room. Modern. Clean. Quiet. Had trouble getting the heating and air conditioning unit to work at first. Finally figured it out. One strange thing...the large window only had sheer blinds. No privacy. Nothing to block outside lights.

If you are a light sleeper, request a room away from the road - it was much louder than expected. Thankfully, the staff were graciously and quickly able to relocate me to another room. There are some photos of a jacuzzi at the pool - one of the main reasons I booked, but I was disappointed to find that it had been bricked over. A/C unit was a bit broken - but otherwise, hotel was quiet with ample parking and quick access to town. Bed was comfortable.

I spent days looking through the reviews of hotels for a place to stay 1 night on a road trip. I finally picked Courtyard and am so glad that I did. I found it to be impressively clean compared to other hotels I have stayed in. I didn't worry at all about things being dirty no matter what part of the hotel I was in. If I ever need to stay in Winchester again, we will go here again.

Our toilet did not flush well/if at all sometimes and the staff checked on it for us while we went to dinner and said it was fine and did nothing to fix it. Other than that, the rooms were clean and pleasant
