Zero for helpfulness.
Ended up traveling with my adult son instead of my husband, who was sick. Really didn’t want to sleep with my son. Hotel had plenty of availability. Neither the reservation attendant nor Hotels.com would change the room type for me. VERY disappointing!

The mgmt went above and beyond with kindness after Expedia messed up my reservation! They eventually found a room for me even though they were sold out!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful they were to me !

The property looks okay but the rooms are smelly and beat up. The pullout bed was broken. The room had a stench that wouldnt dissipate even after leaving the windows open. It needs real updating.

We loved our spacious, 2 bedroom suite. The pull-out sofa was uncomfortable and could use updating, but both beds were very soft and relaxing. We were sad to see that the netting around the basketball area was torn up, but very much enjoyed using a grill for dinner one night. Parking was convenient with many exterior (but safely locked) doors to enter. We were excited about the indoor pool, but couldn't stay in long because it was just too cold - maybe the heater was broken or not in use for the summer? Front desk, housekeeping and the people who kept the breakfast area stocked were all kind and helpful. But the highlight for my daughter was making her own waffles each morning!

The property was located perfectly for me because of its proximity to a family member I was visiting. It’s directly across from a hockey arena so it would be perfect for anyone attending something there. Other than that there isn’t anything else close to it. The breakfast was decent, service was kept clean and that was nice. The staff put me on the bottom floor which I didn’t like and asked to be moved but she said she couldn’t accommodate me, I was there 9 days. All in all a decent place to stay.

Overall a decent experience but I think like a lot of places are understaffed so you don’t get your room made up every day and may have had a mouse in my room as well as 650 Monday morning the road crew was jackhammering on the highway next to the parking lot not the hotels. Fault though.

Residence inn - Marlborough - Fantastic
We had a suite in the hotel and had 7 nights there and it was fantastic. It had everything we needed.
My only criticism would be the limited choice of breakfast and TV channels. None of the favourite channels were available, just mainly sports channels.

We stay here 2 years ago and were very happy with the accommodations, however the conditions of the rooms have deteriorated drastically. The front of the vanity drawer fell off in my hands and the carpet was such that i was afraid my husband who walks with a cane would trip and fall. I asked to change rooms and they accommodated me. In the second room, the toilet seat was extremely loose and the tub was very slow draining. The 2 burner stove top was chipped and cracked so i didn't dare use it. I will say the breakfast was good and most importantly when we had to cut our vacation short due to an emergency at hope, the hotel was great about issueing a refund for the prepaid second week.

The Residence Inn was very clean and comfortable. Just what we needed while in the area. There was coffee available early along with breakfast. My only complaint was with the pillows. Not so comfortable.

Bad attitude, training opportunity at least
Hello,
I was thrilled to get such a nice room at a convenient location and with so many amenities. However things went south every time I went to the front desk, from check in, on.
In short, the front desk person “Virginia” was rude every visit I made to the lobby. She spoke over me repeatedly when I asked questions at check in. She berated me for asking a question about an “incident charge” after being told I wasn’t being charged today for anything - then was charged. She Made disparaging remarks about me in front of other guests about how “maybe I don’t or shouldn’t stay at hotels”. When I asked for the manager on duty, he wasn’t on premise and a call went direct to voicemail.
Everyone has bad days but you don’t take it out on customers. The part about the “incident fee” not being a charge, but was a charge, is a training opportunity at least.
I’ve had nothing but great experiences at the Marriott, Albany & otherwise but this is the worst I’ve been treated at any hotel/chain, anywhere, ever.

We stayed here because our son was in a tournament across the street. This location was so handy. Breakfast was typical, but had quite a few options. The best part was the bed. So comfortable!! Having a kitchenette is really good. Room cleaning was every other day-which was ok. They have done some Reno’s, so overall found it clean, up to date with lots of plug ins. Having small shelves by the sink with drawers for all your stuff was fabulous. Only thing lacking was a rack/holder for the hand towel. Would recommend, and would definy stay again.

Messy operations and a questionable charge.
We checked in after 5pm, swiping $20 incidental deposit with my credit card. Our room had been paid before arrival.
*The room did not have any open view but faces the clapboard wall several feet away.
* The room temperature didn't remain stable. So we opened the window but the exhaust vent outlet made lots of noise and no fresh air came in. This is mid Feb 2023, with 50+F.
The room temperature kept going up to 73F at the thermostat but it felt like 80-82F with excessive fan blowing. We switched to AC at 70F but it became lower at 68F. And the air blew too cold to the bed overnight. That woke me up several times. And I couldn't fall back to sleep.
* We found out the TV had a very poor muffled BASS sound to wake up the other spouse at vol 5.
* The building staircase next to our room was unlocked and left unsupervised. The area had lots of plastering stains and debris on carpeted steps mixed with excessive de-ice salt with an obvious pipe damage from the ceiling. This was a big mess.
The breakfast room next morning at 8 am was poorly monitored and the melon was gone sour, the scrambled eggs were all gone. A single white toast bread and 2 boiled eggs were left and just several hams floating in the greasy oil. No restocking.
Breakfast area was tight with guests crowding with loud young children in and out without their parents or staff clearing their tables.
*During check out, I was told $20 was used in snacks at 10:46pm, misdirecting our deposit. Not us. Out for dinner.

Noisy AC units
Enjoyed our stay other than the sleep. AC makes a loud vibrating noise that kept us up all night. Either that or a neighboring unit was playing music loudly all night.

love the 2-bed suites - keep on top of maintenance
we had the 2 bedroom suite, it was great in all ways except it appears that some prior tenants had roughed it up, damaged doors and the living room couch. that type of maintenance should take place to keep things looking classy and functional.

Blizzard 2022 - One Night Stay
Only staying the night as I work down the street and we were in the middle of a blizzard. Parking lot was plowed where allowable (other travelers/residents were snowed in). Walk wasn't shoveled (at all). Check in wsa fast and got to miy room in a pretty quick manner. Cable was out because of the storm (snow covered satellite dish), they did have streaming options, none of which I habe for personal use, but there was an opportunity to watch some form of entertainment. I'd stay again if the need were to arise.

The noise from the highway is Horrible... could not sleep I even downloaded an app to mesure the decibel level in the room just past midnight as I could not sleep and recorded an average of 72Db with the windows closed obviously... Absolutely terrible.

I liked everything about the property. I have stayed at many hotels in the past two years for businesses reasons but only on my (miniscule) dime. And this one had been the best. I would like to set up a contract in which I could stay at this location a minimum of 6 nights a month going forward. I'd love to hear back from your representative to discuss same. Thank you.

The room was clean and comfortable. If I had to say anything negative it would be regarding the noise coming from the outside air/heating units? Our room was located on the first floor and the units were right outside our window so when they were running it was noisy. Other than that, it was a very nice stay.

I have never come across friendlier more helpful staff than here. The hot breakfast was great in variety and great in quality. the entire facility was clean and the location was right next to a very nice shopping mall! What more can we ask for? This place is truly excellent!!

Very clean hotel, staff is very good and friendly, breakfast is very good, hot food, good quality, fresh food, good and generous variety and options. Has a laundry toom. Is in a great location, walking distance to shopping mall, Target etc. Nice pool but Gym is very small, wish it could be better. Overall, hotel is excellent.

An expensive disappointment
Our room was clean. Sevice at front desk was okay but not overly welcoming
The garbage can in the kitchen was small. The area below the sink was covered by a dirty curtain which was hung on a broken rod fell down everytime you touched it. The dw was not secured, every time you opened the door the whole dw tipped forward. Morning breakfast was terrible. The sausage was dry. The oatmeal was floating in water. Fruit was nonexistant. People in the room above had children who ran around until after midnight. The room next door bevan playing rap at 5 am. Will not be staying at s Residence Inn again

Thus place was great! I loved that it was like a small apartment and was very comfortable! I slept like a baby and that’s not even true for me at home. Will stay there again for sure! Travel back and forth from Maine to PA often and this hotel is right in the middle. So glad we stayed!

I was denied water lady tried to charge my wife and I for water.asked for coffee maker denied. But what really did it,the lady had us walk back and forth 3 times after shopping all day kept giving us wrong keys.we were in room 114. She kept giving us room 104 keys.3rd time I had. To wait 5mins. For her. To. Take care of some one. Else while my wife was in the hallway and I had to waiit. While she took take of some one in a suit and of a different race.not fair.i was already a guest.funny thing is I probably have more money then the other gentleman.lol.never again.i didn't pay to be treat it like that.i rather spend my 30days vacation else were in marborough,mass. Mr.ali is awesome.he is great.so is the lady who works 3rd shift..they are great. The lady who works second shift at. Front desk. She is a lousy racist host.i am sorry I am extremely respectful but she shouldn't b doing this Job.
