Candlewood overnight stay
The room had a strange smell. There wasn’t enough cups for the two of us, there was urine stains on the front of the toilet, exposed wires under the heating & cooling system, and a LARGE amount of mold up and down the right window side.

I didn’t want to do this, but I haven’t heard back from the company about my issues yet. The first room I was placed in had bed bugs crawling from behind the headboard. Once I let the front desk know they did switch my room which I was thankful for. But in that second room, the sheets& comforter were dirty with reddish colored stains all over them, there was a couple holes in the comforter as well and I don’t believe that the linens I was given for the sofa bed were cleaned either (they also had stains). There was still food on the carpet from the previous people that stayed.

My fiance and I had an amazing stay. The Room was clean and a great size. The bathroom had perfect space to get glammed up for dinner. I just did not like there, were items from the previous guest in the kitchenette.

I would not stay here again.
Long wait to check-in and check-out—hardly anyone tending the front desk. Dirty dishes in cupboard. No forks available. Shortage on bath towels and toiletries. There was a dead bug under the bathroom sink. The beds were not comfortable. One keycard stop working after a day—didn’t bother to get another one since no one is ever at the front desk. Staff weren’t friendly except for maybe two.

We liked that it was convenient to all the dining areas with a great selection of restaurants. It was also a quick five-minute drive to the St. Clair Bowl where we bowling a tournament.
What we didn't like was that there was no lobby per se. Sometimes it's just nice to sit in a lobby area where there are sofas and tables and friends can gather and play cards or games.

While customer assistance was friendly, availability was limited with numerous occasions when front desk was unmanned requiring a phone call to hotel number to gain attention of personnel.

Our suite was very nice! Had everything we needed including ice machine in the room in freezer. The only thing is I did not see online where there was a $100 deposit hold. So I was a lil upset about it! Even though we get it back it was the point.

Stayed at this property for 2 weeks while in between homes. Clean room and friendly staff. The fee laundry was a definite plus!
Our keys had to be recharged several times - but the staff was always happy to help.

Just ok.
Shower runs water out into the complete bathroom floor unless you use towels to stop it. Shower floor busted. Shower head holder broken off the wall. Clocks do not work. Ac in main entrance been broken for years.

Property charged me an additional deposit. It’s been 3 months. 3 different receptionist has told me my deposit should have been returned to me. Receptionist today got upset and hung up on me. Don’t recommend.

I didn't get a king size bed, as booked. Smaller TV than booked, one TV didn't work, one phone didn't work. Dishes didn't match, was not worth the price paid. Will not stay there again

When we checked into our room there were pieces of what looked like broken plastic on the floor. After being in the room for a while I think it was pieces of a broken tray that fits in the microwave since there was none in the microwave when we went to use it. It was ok for one night… no restaurants or shops close by or in easy proximity.

Updated and Very clean. Only complaint was an intermittent noise (maybe 20 seconds long) throughout the evening/night. Not sure the source but I think it was the elevator which was adjacent to our room.

This is a clean, safe, quiet, but very basic hotel. Like all extended-stay hotels you get a full size fridge and a cooktop in exchange for fewer amenities. There's plenty within 1-2 miles of the hotel and the location is very convenient to I-64. Recommended if you need someplace to stay in the area for multiple nights and you don't care about swimming pools or breakfast.

I am an IHG Spire member. I usually book on my app but had some Expedia points to use so I booked here. There was a disclaimer indicating some renovation going on. However this property was extra! I booked this room for my father and his wife coming in for Father’s Day. If I had known the level of renovation here I would not have booked. My father sent me photos of exposed flooring, carpeting that had been laid down but not tacked (tripping hazard for seniors) and limited parking with conex containers everywhere. I was embarrassed that I booked this.

Nice rooms rude worker
The worker at the front desk was very rude so big lady she was white black hair any questions I had she act like she don’t know anything if I paid for a double beds why was I not put in a double bed room I ask for a disability room what I booked I didn’t get that I got put on 2nd floor I’m older and it’s her job to know what’s going on ....other then that it was clean and nice and very quiet I would go back just it’s a better worker!!

Property needs maintenance
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location great. The property is not in good condition, though. The suite had a couch, but with a huge gross stain. What's the point of a couch you can't (or wouldn't) sit on? The carpet was stained and dirty, the furniture beat up. Unfortunately this property has not been maintained. It badly needs updating and better cleaning. This hotel doesn't reflect well on what was once a great brand.

Better than expected.
Great budget hotel. Room was clean. Location was quiet and safe. Water pressure was good and towels were nice and thick. 24 hour coffee and the cups were the paper inside/ styrofoam outside so you don’t burn your hand getting back to the room. And the coffee was good too.

I received an alert from my credit card company, ten minutes after checking in. Someone charged $850 to a gambling site. Not saying it was the staff but seemed kind of peculiar. Mentioned it to the person that checked me in. They got sideways with me. Overall appearance, the lobby was dirty. Pantry was not stocked fully, many items missing. Deadbolt on room door did not work. Refrigerator was noisy. Will be working in the area for a while. Will not stay here again.

This was a bit lower rating than my stay in Candlewood in Hot Springs. One is the shower pressure was much better. Also, chair on the side of bed was not there. There could have been a night stand on both sides of the bed.

I previously booked a room at Candlewood Suites in Hot springs Arkansas. I booked this room based on my experience I had in Arkansas. This did not match the quality of my previous visit.
The room was missing a lounge chair and night stand on one side. I mentioned this to the staff and they said they were under renovation to replace those items.
Another thing was the quality of water pressure in the shower. The water drained very slow leaving your feet submerged in water.
The front desk asked for my credit card for any incidents. They failed to notify me there would be a $25 charge placed on my card. I called today and they said it should be refunded in 5-7 days. I do not think I should have been pre charged for services I did not request. I also think I should have been told.
Other than that I enjoyed my visit. I would still consider booking rooms from Candlewood Suits in the future.

The bed was comfortable, but the hotel lobby was distasteful. The Hotel staff didn't have any clean towels, the front desk was junky, they always had a sign on desk saying be right back and they were in the office sleeping or doing whatever. When I checked out there was and extra $204 charge on bill, when I had prepaid thru expedia. This is worst hotel that I have ever stayed in, and would not recommend to anyone.

I would not recommend this place. Like walking into the 60's ! It had clean rooms and staff was good. We booked on line one King room and 2nd room 2 queen beds. When we checked in they had no King beds and both rooms were 2 double beds. My key to the room did not work so had to go down to get activated. The hallway carpet was not clean. The refrigerator and heating unit made noise all night long. Complimentary coffee & tea ??? joke - not available but they did have decaff coffee in a thermos. There is not a ice machine except in the noisy refrigerator and that was extremely slow. I will never stay at a Candlewood Suites again, couldn't wait for morning so we could leave

We were at another hotel n needed to move bc it was unacceptable lodging. David was very accommodating n we were able to check in early. The lady at check out was pleasant as well. I like that the laundry was free and the room was very nice n roomy.

Won’t be back. Reserved 6 king suites for our group. When we arrived I was told they only had 4 king suites available. Said they would upgrade me to “business suite”. Sent to room 103. I guess their idea of an “upgrade” includes smelly room, holes in dirty carpet, HUGE disgusting stain on sofa, faux leather material pealing off chairs as well as a small queen? bed instead of the king I had reserved. I took pics and showed them to clerk at front desk and her only reply was “huh? I’ll have to tell someone about it”. Was also unaware when reservations were made that they DO NOT offer “maid service” or daily clean towels. If staying in this area, check out other hotels, don’t stay here!

Good hotel - great area
We often stay at Candlewood because they are consistently clean and have good service. Thanks local area has everything you might need including great restaurants. The only issues with this stay is that we did not get our preferred queen beds and the shower head needs to be replaced and updated.

Had members of family reunion stay here. We had a substantial number of rooms booked. Considering the number of individuals involved they handled our crowd very well
