We stayed here over the holidays. The main reason we chose Kimpton is that they allowed all pets (not just dogs) and we traveled with our cat and dogs. The space was clean and adequate and surprisingly quiet for a downtown location. Parking is valet only but I felt very confident that our vehicle was safe. If you are driving your own vehicle I recommend spending extra on the parking.
The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. I don’t remember the last time we’ve stayed somewhere where they were so hospitable.
The adjoining restaurant Tulio was amazing! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the week days but just dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
One thing to be aware of is they process your card for potential damages of about $100/day so be prepared for that.
Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Pros: great location, safe, clean, quiet
Cons: bedroom outdated, extremely uncomfortable mattress, rough bedding, not great in-room toiletry products that you see offered at other 4.5 star hotels, room service limited and choppy hours, no in-room mini bar, TV our dated and did not connect to any streaming apps, and remote didn’t work.

This hotel is disappointing compared to others in this chain. Restaurants caters to upscale dinners and no place nearby to secure breakfast. They don’t clean the room or provide clean towels unless you go to the desk to ask. Since there is only one clerk at the desk, making that request is a 20 minute wait. Pricey hotel with a minimum of service.

Birthday gift
We booked at the Kimpton for our grandsons who were turning 23 on Sept 15th and had tickets for the Beyonce concert. The boys said the hotel was easy to find, had great parking and everyone who worked there from the parking person to the Front desk staff to the maid service were friendly and very helpful. The boys were able to walk down to and back from Lumen Field where the concert was held. A big Shout Out to the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle for making our grandsons 23rd birthdays a huge success!!!

We weren't told ahead of time that the property was under construction. When we arrived we weren't offered a choice of floor , put on the eleventh, and the elevators were down. They were operating at a reduced capacity. The eleventh floor was under construction and our room wasn't as nice as our friend's room on the third floor.

Inoperable elevator.
Pretty expensive hotel to stay at for the elevators to be 90% inoperable. Floor 11 flooded, and we were put on 10 with the back door unsecured and super loud fans and dehumidifiers running. The flooding messed up the elevators. You would have to call down and have someone use the out of order elevator to get to your floor. Nothing like a 10 minute was in 90 degree heat for an elevator. Being told in advance so we could cancel and find another hotel would have been nice. Or a discount for the massive inconvenience. The staff were doing their best and the elevator guy was running everywhere. They are the only reason my score isn’t terrible.

Remodeling - don’t pay full price
Elevators broken, water damage on the floor we were placed on. Ripped up wallpaper, carpet ripped up, wiring exposed, elevator not working properly. Door would not shut so we stood there for 10-15 minutes every time waiting for someone to come fix it. They said it was due to damage but why have people pay full price still? I won’t stay here again.

From the minute we walked in, the staff at the front desk was on it. They truly made you feel welcomed. Such an incredible and efficient team. Edna, the manager is too fabulous for words. Morning Coffee and 5 O'clock wine. SO AWESOME! Thank you ladies.

We went to Seattle for the for the first weekend in July and it Was honestly a really enjoyable stay for the 4 days we were there. They were so accommodating and the restaurant in the hotel may have been some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Was super close and within walking distance of a lot of places and amenities. They were incredibly welcoming to our 2 dogs Loki and Thor and made them both feel very welcome. Will definitely be staying here anytime we’re in the city from now on

Vintage Hotel Has Nostalgia Built-In to Its Name
This vintage hotel lived up to its name. Warm and nostalgic. The 5pm daily hospitality hour was amazing. Location was terrific not far from Monorail and Pike’s Marketplace by foot. Only setback for a perfect rating was the coffee in the lobby was watery and delivered late every time it needed changing, and the quality of the toilet paper was razor thin for a 4 star resort rating. Also, the bathroom was tiny for such an enormous king sized room but offered a generous countertop and lower shelving space. Other than those points, you can’t go wrong staying at this centrally located hotel.

We were here for a short stay. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms were clean. Front desk was helpful and polite. Nice furnishings. Appropriate for its price class and star rating. They provided us with a microwave and a hot water kettle on request. It wasn't already in the room. Just something other guests might want to know. Parking attendant/valet was also very polite and helpful. Overall a pleasing experience. Place doesn't offer breakfast. They should consider some grab n go style things at least. Like oatmeal/cereal/bagels etc. That frees guests from searching for breakfast options when on a tight schedule.

Was expecting way more from a kimpton. I jave stayed at other kimtons in seattle, this was probably the lowest quality. Room was ok but not kimpton level. Came back early due to not feeling safe on the streets. Asked for a bottle of tequila no price available. Bought soda as a mixer, which was room temp. Asked for something to put ice in on our way up, was handed a stack of plastic cups. Why not. Now that i jave seen the price paid for the bottle, a bucket at reception and a chilled mixer? Major let down and would not stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vintage Seattle. It was walkable to Pike’s Market and Pioneer Square. We loved the coffee in the lobby every morning. Bell Staff were so friendly and helpful to store our luggage for our early arrival and late flight out. Would stay there again!

Having Morning coffee in lobby. Staff let homeless woman in to have coffee and use bathroom. She was very vulgar using swear words and sat beside me. I got up and moved due to the words she was saying. Very inappropriate. Bothered other guests too.
Once ahe left, i asked the front desk if she was a guest. She said no. That she felt bad and let her in. I paid just over $400/night to stay in thos hotel for less than 12 hours and they let a homeless person in. I was appalled.
I will never stay there again due to that. If i could, i would take cancelled and went somewhere else. She could have given her a coffee outside. But instead, allowed her to touch everything at the coffee bar too.

The property did an excellent job accommodating our stay. This review says terrible because somehow our reservation got cancelled two weeks before we were supposed to check in. Fortunately the hotel had a room and honored our previous reservation despite the mysterious cancellation.

Valet parking staff fantastic. Desk staff pretty good at check in, morning staff fantastic. For price of the room ($$$) would hope to have access to room service, or at minimum, self serve coffee service in our room. Unfortunately hotel's restaurant closed Monday & Tuesday, during our stay. Changed the vibe of hanging out at the hotel - late in the restaurant and bar, and early for breakfast.

The property looks nice with the imaginary they trying to create thru cosmetic touch up they attempted to pull off. The make over should be a total floor by floor gut. The bathrooms are a 1/3 complete. Putting a gorgeous lavatory next to an existing old bathtub with mildew and some residential toilet is half baked idea. The Hvac system does not work properly the dead band on the stat varies some 4 or 5 degrees and does not hold set temperature. It was quiet and comfortable but I would not stay there again

This is an older property that could have been cleaner. We did think the staff was helpful, but we had a difficult time figuring out what our charges were. I asked for a receipt multiple times that they did end up eventually emailing to me. To be fair, I did book with Expedia which made it more complicated. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant attached to the hotel. The Valet was also very helpful in holding our luggage for us on the last day so we could still explore Seattle and calling a cab for us.

I am a solo traveler, 75 y/o, and at the end of a day in need of some assistance. Reception desk staff gave no attention to me unless I was paying. I realize it is a younger clientele, but...

The hotel was conveniently located to many different areas of seattle and you could walk most places from here which was great! There was always someone at the desk which was nice. Unfortunately, our bathroom smelled intensely of mildew and we found the precious persons toothbrush in the shower. We let them know and asked for it be cleaned again and no one came. The room itself was fine other than the bathroom and mildew smell that filled the room.

Disappointed but grateful.
Overall okay rating, not enough towels for a family of 4 and the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable, no blankets, we slept with sheets. I wish it would have stated somewhere on the site about bringing your own comforters. At least we had a place to lay our heads is how I see it, won’t be back though.

The bed was very comfy. The room was nice. We wished there would have been a bar in the hotel. The surrounding area of the hotel was sketchy! Lots of homeless and people high on lots of drugs! Would not probably stay there again.

Pictured does not match the quality of the furnitures. We had to ask and not provided towels, services as listed. I was made to pay for any services asked. Some staff friendly but some limited information, unless you ask you wont know what services are available which for all you have to pay and not provided. No accommodations. Lemon water and coffee and tea were provided but even the restaurant was closed during our stay… never heard of a restaurant in hotel to be closed two consecutive days… the area already have limited dining. We had to gather our towels and were interrupted for our towels instead of having our room cleaned. Fridge was lukewarm and the AC as well. For the expensive price I pid my refreshments were also 100$…

Desk staff were just going through the motions. Resort fee includes things that should be free like wifi access. Gym is small. No weight bench, towels, or water there. No breakfast option, not even a granola bar. Overpriced and has lost the old Kimpton vibe. Very helpful parking valet.

Don't come to Seattle!
We have stayed at other Kimptons. We LOVE Kimpton for it's value, extras like complimentary happy hour and overall comfort and design of rooms. This location blew us away with it's condition - the rooms were disgusting. Dust everywhere. Moldy/Smelly carpets. While they refused to clean the room during our stay (really - facemasks aren't req'd anymore but you won't clean our room?) they forgot to even come each night to take our dirty towels, etc. JUST PLAIN GROSS and the service was terrible. UGH

The property was okay. I had to wait for someone to come to the front desk and a couple who came in after I had already checked in and was back to ask some questions had to wait much longer, and there was no bell or buzzer to let staff know you were there. This happened only in the late afternoon. The refrigerator in my room did not work. They brought another fridge that he had tested and was functioning. In the morning it was not cold. I figured out it was the socket and reported this to the front desk.

Very Low on staff. There was only one front desk staff on duty and she was always on the phone so I had to go down to the lobby every time I needed make a request or ask for something. No house cleaning service including bringing new towels. I asked for new towels at the desk but it was never brought during my entire three-night stay.

Lost our Reservation
Checked in and they gave us the wrong room. Went back to front desk and they tried to tell us they couldn’t do anything about it. After hours delay, they finally got us correct room. Never brought us pull out bedding/pillows in 3 days there, multiple times asking. Service overall was extremely poor.

I would like to see an in room coffee maker rather than having to wait on line in the lobby. If they are going to have a wine reception they need to offer drinkable wine.

This hotel was fantastic. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, well-kept, and well-appointed. The whole of downtown Seattle, though, felt a bit dodgy. Lots people doing drugs on the sidewalk as we walked by at all times of day, as well as feeling and smelling dirty. I'm hopeful it, like all other cities post-COVID, find a solution for this.

When I was checking out, they added some cost to my stay and charged my card without my consent. When I asked, they said it is a common practice. I have been to probably more than hundred hotels in US and around the world and this was the first time I encountered this!! I will follow this further with Expedia and request them to investigate. The lady who I interacted with was extremely rude.

The Kimpton Vintage Hotel was a lot like the other Kimpton properties in which I have stayed (e.g., the cocktail reception each evening, the older , yet upscale feel and the small rooms (there was literally no room to close the bathroom door when seated on the toilet!), all for $194 plus taxes per night. That was ok since our stay was for 1 night, but it would have been tedious for a week's stay.
The service was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The staff had a true desire to help you.
The primary negative was no open restaurant. We expected to have a restaurant available for our 1-night stay, but were informed that the closest place they recommended for breakfast was their sister Kimpton about 2 blocks away. Not what I want to do when I first wake up and looking for a quick breakfast to help me be off on my day. They had a restaurant, but it was only open certain days toward mid to late week.
The accommodations were quite nice and comfortable if you like tiny houses.
I will probably look for other arrangements when I am next in town.

Little getaway to Seattle.
Nice 3 day, 2 night trip to Seattle. First real getaway since COVID. Enjoyed 5-6 pm happy hour in lobby. Enjoyed seeing people out and about! Walking distance to restaurants, used a tour service to visit wineries.

Edna at the front desk was AMAZING!!! She provided excellent service.
Prior to checking in, a family member called to let the hotel know there was a surprise delivery coming for me. Edna answered the phone and was a delight. She promised to take the items directly to my room so they'd be there when I checked in. When she found out I was starting a new job the next day (told by my relative), she left a split of champagne as a congratulations gift!
When I checked in, Edna mentioned that she heard I was starting a new job. Super friendly, upbeat and she seemed genuinely pleased for me. I knew my relative must have called, but didn't really know why. When I got to my room, I found the delivery from my family as well as the champagne from the hotel. Totally unexpected! WOW service!
Valet parking (you have to pay) was prompt and helped me save time coming and going (when not walking).
I had a great corner room. Impeccable. Everything was convenient to downtown Seattle and my (new) office.

The rooms are not completely soundproof. We experienced one noisy night when neighbors were carousing in the hall between 3 and 4 AM. But the room was comfortable, the lobby too, good coffee in the AM, lovely staff, reasonable price.

Nice hotel, good location, expensive parking
I had a lot of luggage and unfortunately the hotel's cart was broken. The staff responded by getting a laundry cart to get my boxes to my room.
Great refurbished hotel. Good location as close to restaurants and shopping. Happy hour for guests every night. Dog friendly and great staff. Too bad the parking and amenities fee is expensive ($50 + $25 so an extra $75 charge per night).

We were very impressed with Vintage Kimpton. Our room was larger than expected, being downtown, the bath was large, bed very comfortable. We had a nice desk, Internet service. Also, they had a free wine tasting every evening.
The hotel is in easy walking distance to the market, the Seattle Art Museum, and the aquarium.
We had two requests: a minor plumbing problem, an extra bag rack. They were handled immediately.
We would definitely stay there again.

The Kimpton Vintage was as beautiful as the photos indicated. I wondered if we’d hear road noise because it was so close to I-5, but we heard nothing! Very well insulated. Staff was wonderful, starting with the experienced helpful parking valet to the desk people who upgraded us to a larger room when they heard we had a bday in our party. Love this pretty place, and will use it again!

Great valet service. Did not like how they mentioned that food and drink amenities were “15 dollars” without explaining it. Made it seem cheap. Also there was no view. The room was clean but not overly stocked with amenities. Overall the room was ok but much smaller in appearance than the photos.

I love this hotel. It's modern, clean, cute, and cozy. The staff is professional and very friendly. My husband and I were visiting Seattle for the first and each employee we encountered asked if there was anything they could do to enhance our lodging experience. They offered numerous suggestions for dining and entertainment. The hotel is located downtown and is walking distance to great restaurants and attractions. They have wine and an Italian restaurant on the property. Great hotel and staff.

Great Staff! Beautiful decor. Soaps and lotions are fantastic. No coffee in room, and coffee downstairs was empty when tried to fill. Parking is $50 a night plus tax and a $15 amenity fee. Seems like they are nickle and diming you here and there. But would absolutely stay there again because of the staff, decor and quiet rooms 😊

The property is great. It's a boutique hotel with nice finishes. The staff are super nice and accommodating. We checked into our room, and the shower only sprayed hot water. We informed the front desk, and they sent the engineer immediately. When we got back from lunch, the repairs weren't complete, so the staff put us in another room, upgraded at no cost. The wine happy hour is cute, but space and seating is limited.
What Expedia doesn't share with you are the amenity fees that add up really quickly. These fees are part of your bill whether you use the amenity or not. Call the hotel to get a list of the fees ahead of time. Our fees were approximately $200 over 3 nights.

The front desk clerk that checked us in was EXCEPTIONAL, as was the manager! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed this property very much! It is conveniently located and not too far from Pike Place market. Would definitely book this property again!
