You get what you pay for, I had very low expectations coming in and it wasn't as bad as other reviews. If you expect 4 stars and up, get ready to pay 2 or 3 times as much. Not too noisy considering the area and that I got a room towards the rear of the building. Clean sheets, plenty of toiletries upon request, central a/c and hot water won me over. South Beach is very humid and wear and tear is within reasonable parameters.

Trash, location is the only thing going for this place, last minute for price but I’ll never do that again. A long list of things wrong with this place: the check is actually the building next door, it’s obviously just an old apartment building, shower barely worked, mildew smell, no housekeeping on weekend

I didn't like the fact I told the guy that I was bumped from my flight so I arrived at midnight. He charged me a $50 deposit after I told him why I wasn't there at 530p.
The guy did say he would refund the room at check out but his partner Selson who witnessed it claimed he didn't remember and only refunded the $50 deposit. Selson is Brazilian. They were chatting when I arrived. I'll never stay there again. I told the guy I could cancel because I purchased protection. Please refund me. Selson told me to contact you.

This Hotel is in a Perfect location. I stayed here because of a last minute issue. I think this hotel needs an update face lift. Elevator does not work. If they can do an update to this hotel they would easily make money back they are in a great location. They should consider it

That property is right at the heart of all festivities any has easy acces to the beach. That said the place itself looks like a repurposed shelter. The hallway fits one person at a time way to small for a guest.

Scary place.
Check in is at a different location.
First floor had no lights on.
No staff at all.
Front desk closed off.
Homeless sleeping in the dark halls.
Drug sales happening 10 feet from front door.
Not safe to stay.
We had to find another place. They would not return our full payment we made prior on line.
This place is scary.
I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
This hotel has about 8 parking spots. 30-50 per day cost.
Please stay somewhere else.

Clean! Lots of access to restaurants and the beach. Literally needed a place to stay for my 17hr layover in Miami. Not a 5 or even 3star hotel. Very basic but it was clean and comfortable for my short stay

What I didn’t like was the fact that the first night of arrival we had no electricity until about 2am, second is the staff that was at front desk said they gave me my deposit back but they didn’t, they showed me a receipt that was signed but it wasn’t my signature, I clearly showed them what my signature looked like on my drivers license and it sure didn’t match up even close…over all I’m not coming back

I get a free smoke room was stinking people is so noise put side is people selling drugs them never clean my room for 4 nights we see a big roach on the room bed mattress are older and very bad condition I will never stay again on this hotel very bad service I can belive they on south beach area on this condition I was travel before to Miami and never have this hotel problem I don't recommend this hotel also parking is $50 each night

Big cockroachs in room.Rooms look poor. Nice around hotel just 1 block to beach. No free parking hotel charge 40 $ if you park there 2h or 1 day.

1st it's cool for what it is before you check in... My was never cleaned... It's was black mode growing out the vent... Pressed body wash and shampoo... Floor were covered in dirt.... The house keeper saw me heading to complain at the front desk... she stopped me and assured me to give her 2 hours to clean it.. mind you it's already 5pm.. I noted the front desk and went out for 3 hours .. room still not cleaned...no wash rags ..hair still under the covers...Now it's almost 8:39 pm and u can't find any where else...So I had to request Pillow cases and cover so I coy sleep on top I've the Covers... Also the building controls the air .. so I Froze to death in a Black mold covered vent room and woke up feeling horrible as to I'm allergic to mold ... Stay safe y'all... Just don't stay here

Worst hotel ever
Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I payed a huge amount for a one-night stay due to spring break, wish I had slept in my car.
To name a few problems: The door lock was broken. Window had cracks. Shower floor had cracks and shower head broke. Towels had stains and hair.
The photos are misleading. Do not stay here.

Like convince of area. Beds very comfortable. Very nosy you can hear everyone walking down the hallway, slamming doors throughout the night. No coffee in the morning. It was ok for staying one night. If staying longer I don’t recommend.

This was the worst hotel ever the they lady Sandra was so slow and missed up my reservation people outside selling drugs and hanging out trash everywhere. The rooms are like a motel 6 no air windows don’t open there was a guy walking around in his towel it was crazy. Everything else was booked up due to rolling loud smh never again

This place was the worst I slept there 1 night with all my clothes on and I booked another place for the remainder of my vacation. No refund either. Waited in line for an hour to check in (only 3 ppl in front of me) noisy I could hear everyone talking through the vents. The walls had mold and the sink was filled with these insects. They should tear this place down because it cants be safe.

Perhaps it’s normally a bargain...
I know some of this was indicative of the spring break crowd, which I accepted more or less, but despite the slew of illegal activity and crowds of people not wearing masks in the lobby and stairwell, the management took issue with me trying to bring a bike in to my room over night. Otherwise the building was generally in very poor condition and A/C was not controllable, a steady flow of cool air slowly piped through a vent.

Honestly I complained to the front desk about my room and she didn’t say anything or wrote any comment to the management cause I try reaching them throw the app that I booked hotel and they said they didn’t get any complains. I’m so disappointed that I have spended money on something like this. The room was awfully dirty,the towels that they give us wasn’t even clean. The sheets that they have on the bed it’s disgusting,I got some rush all over my body. Same as my husband. We couldn’t even sleep cause of the noise. They also have so many people around that you don’t have idea what their deal is or what they’re dealing around and someone was keep knocking on my door at 3am in the morning

The staff were friendly, but the hotel hasn’t had an update in seemingly decades. The full set of towels on the first day of my stay, all had some long hair stuck to them. I had several long strands of hair stuck on me after a single wipe. Had to shower again and use a shirt to dry off. The walls were so thin that you could hear everything from the adjacent rooms. No beach towels were available. The hotel elevator was out of service. Though, there was no “resort fee” line item, but the “Taxes and fees” were much higher compared to anything on the mainland side. The only thing the hotel “has” was its location - nothing more. I would not stay there again.

Great location and price
A good location in Miami Beach. The water took awhile to get warm but besides that a good deal and great location. I did click for free parking. But when I arrived it was $30 per night. It in the small print I did not read, but hotels.com should only give me places with Free Parking if I asked for it.

I like that it was close to everything I wanted to do. I didn’t like that it was no wash rags in the room, it was extremely hot, the breakfast wasn’t covered so flies were landing on the food and the elevator was beyond small. It could only fit two people

This Hotel had an infestation of Roaches. I took pictures and presented it to the front desk. Notified Expedia and the establishment refused to acknowledge , refund or correct the issues I had with my stay. The plumbing does not work. The bedding I couldn't sleep on. I only stayed one night prior to my cruise and I checked out and waited to shower on the ship...ITS THAT NASTY THERE!!!. I do not recommend and advise you all to pay extra for something better. Ii would have rather slept on the beach in a lounger.

Checked in and left bags to leave to the beach. When we came back to change we noticed a bunch of bugs (termites) all over the restroom floor and bathtub. Then we noticed them on the floor in the bedroom. My wife couldn't stay there so we left. Only got a partial refund. Not recommended at all.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
we were spending a night in Miami and catching a concert nearby at the Fillmore. We should've booked earlier because we wound up with few viable options that were under 200 a night before fees.
The hotel seems to be more of a 'boarding house' than an actual hotel. Filthy, rude, drug-addled 'residents' came into / out of the building at all times of the night, seemingly making as much noise as they could along the way. At one point, they staged what sounded like a dog race in the hallway between about 4 and 5 AM.
The room itself was the most miserable hotel room I've ever been in. There were cigarette burns all over EVERY surface, all over the mattresses and the comforter. What's more, there was what appeared to be bleach stains all over the disgusting carpet.
In closing, I suppose it's our fault for winding up here because we hadn't planned ahead. That being said, AVOID HOTEL GENEVA AT ALL COSTS. This place is a filthy hellhole.

The hotel has an amazing location right in the thick of Miami South Beach which makes it super convenient.
Unfortunately that’s about the only positive side.
I found the rate extortionate for the value provided.
The customer facing staff was nice ... their manager however seemed less customer friendly. The housekeeping was a bit unpolished with direct and blunt communication (no greeting, no smile).
The free continental breakfast is very disappointing.
Rooms are in desperate need of investment and renovation. No effort seems to be made to improve the state of the rooms. For that prime location in the heart of South Beach, the hotel is not in keep with the area.

Just a little TLC in the room will help. Plus just a paint job in each room will make a big differen. The staff was great, helpful , and nice. The staff maria was helpful. Front desk workers was nice and quick with check.

The hotel is centrally located, so you can be anywhere. The problem we had was the excess people coming in all hours of the night. Then the fire alarm went off at 2am and rang for two hours. Sleep was not an option. Also the lobby was so hot that at check out, I passed out while I was checking out. I get it is not a 4 star hotel, but it didnt need to operate as a zoo!!! Staff was great though!!!
