Room was clean and beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Water in shower was nice. Shower curtain kept falling away from wall on curved rod so a little challenging to keep water from running out - design flaw. Property is older but in good order. Our room had a desk and a table with 2 chairs and that was nice. Dresser had large surface area for "stuff". Only had 1 pot of coffee on at a time and they were out when we went to front office to get some. Coffee machine had two other warmer areas so it was possible to have 3 hot pots at any given time but other 2 pots were clean and empty. Should have at least had one more pot on warmer for back-up. Owners were nice enough but didn't smile too much and never replied to "Thank you" with a "you're welcome" or any other reply for that matter. Maybe it was a cultural thing but a reply would have been nice. All in all, I would def stay there again. Very affordable.

We were only in town for a couple days and decided since we were only sleeping at this motel it would be fine but it just wasn't in very good condition for the price we paid. There were holes in the walls that were freshly patched, paint was chipped, cracked, and dingy. Outlet was hanging out of the wall which felt pretty unsafe. Staff was nice enough but I dont think we would stay here again.

The rooms are small and simple but updated, new, clean and fresh. Good room for a traveling thru stay. Only concern was when I asked for an extra blanket i got a strange look from the desk and it smelled bad, like intense incense. Never ended up using it

Very comfortable. Well appointed room; mini fridge,microwave comfortable easy chair, individual lights above the bed to allow reading without disturbing your sleeping partner. A bathroom mirror that lights up for easy viewing for shaving and grooming.

Remodeled Comfort at Berkshire Inn
We had a spacious room (225) with two queen beds, a desk & chair, table & two chairs, in addition to the tv unit with fridge & microwave. It was quiet, clean, & comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and brand new. It became obvious that the unit had recently been remodeled. We would definitely stay here again.

Check in was a little hard. They a plexiglass up around the counter with a tiny window to slid your credit card threw. I could not hear a word the gentleman was saying. I had to have my 8 year old tell me what he said. They did not great us when we walked in. He actually sat there on his phone until i said hello afyer about a minute of standing there. The hotel itself was clean and up to date. There was nothing in the room telling you how to access the wifi or a listing of the tv channels. Trying to turn the tv on was a struggle because the cable box is mounted behind the tv. For you coffee drinkers, there is no coffee pot in the room.

Dependable comfort
This was our second stay this year and as always like our stays in year’s past, the room was clean and comfortable. The room and property, inside and out, are kept well maintained and updated so it looks very nice. I love the in-town location and how the property sits on top of a little hill away from street traffic and in a bright, sunny spot. It is a Mom & Pop era motel that offers the basics of an overnight motel stay with a lot of dependable comfort. It’s all that we need and enjoy.

One of the worst places I've ever stayed at. The room, apparently recently "renovated," reeked of an ashtray, as if it were home to a nightly smoke-filled game of poker. Spiders; exposed drywall and spackle; holes in the walls; useless television (slow and pixilated signal, minimal channels, confusing remote), and, apparently, no wifi! Most egregiously -- the bedsheets were for a smaller sized bed, and did not cover the mattress!!! No continental breakfast, but I wouldn't have wanted to eat anything prepared here anyways -- I couldn't leave soon enough. You get what you pay for? Or do you even get that?

This motel is well maintained. My room looked like it had been recently renovated with newer beds and bathroom fittings. I had a hair dryer, microwave, tv and fridge. The free Wi-Fi worked. Would definitely stay there again.

Best family run high-quality Inn in the Berkshires
It was a great no-frills Inn, but was very pleasantly surprised how update & modern the room was. Very new bedding, modern sink & fixtures, great fluffy towels & very nice string shower!

Let’s leave aside the fights in the parking lot, that this is really a MOTEL and not an “inn” – but that nonetheless, we sure weren’t charged “motel” prices – the surly clerk who claimed falsely that there wasn’t a WiFi password, that the room didn’t merely have horrible decor but smelled like it hadn’t been aired out in a month, and that housekeeping was indifferent about requests to spruce up. We were booked for three nights, and on the day before checkout, while I was napping, my wife was sitting in front in one of the plastic chairs provided. And a fellow ambles right up to her, and without so much as a hello or an introduction starts chattering at her ... punctuated by asking her when she was checking out.
Being no fool, she declined the bait, and replied that she would check out when she was ready to check out. And he answered “You leave today!” And she then notices his walkie-talkie and keys, and squints some, and recognizes the surly clerk ... and answers that she’s due to check out the next day. And he repeats that she was leaving that day, and she repeats that she’s due to check out the next day, and furthermore that we prepaid for three nights. And he answers “We’ll see!” and stalks off.
I have booked a number of trips over Expedia the last couple of years, but this is the only place I’d never touch again with a ten-foot pole.

the motel is well located, and the room was fine. However, it was advertised as offering continental breakfast, which did not exist. The manager indicated only coffee is offered in the office. That should be known to travelers in the event they need food immediately, as with medication.

Great stay
We would stay here again. Room was clean and comfortable and up to date. Property is well maintained. We did not use the pool but others were. Walk to hot dog ranch for dinner.

The motel room had some nice modern touches but they couldn't completely cover up the fact this this was apparently an older, crappy motel. The smell of must and stale cigarettes lingered in the room. On the bright side, the room had nice beds, an lots of conveniences: a fridge, a microwave, wifi, and a nicely updated bathroom. The shower was tricky to turn on, but I eventually figured it out. Overall, it was a great find for the price. My main complaint was that the musty smell required me to keep the windows open, which meant that I was woken repeatedly by the arrival and departure of other guests (including trucks).

It is comfortable but the cleaner has an awful smell. Run out coffee at 8 am already. Front desk is not very friendly too. But other than that. The room is comfortable and everything work very well

We had a mostly pleasant stay. The location is very convenient for many Pittsfield attractions and is not far from Adams and Lee. Convenient location for hikers and outdoor activities. The outdoor pool was clean and not overly chlorinated. Clean towels were available pool side. Easy parking by your motel door. Interior seems recently renovated, so is mostly clean, but with everything on the first floor with doors exposed to outside, there is some dampness and some creepy crawlies that entered because the door isn't sealed well. Adding a door sweep at the bottom to keep bugs out and rotating a dehumidifier through the rooms would improve the experience a lot! We also ran out of toilet paper and tissue one night, so if the staff were to provide backup toilet paper, that would be helpful. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Berkshires for Geocaching.

Clean room. Deceptive booking
Simple motel. Indifferent greeting. Basic, clean room.
ROOM WAS TO INCLUDE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. Was told that simply was not true and only a cup of coffee in the morning. If I did not like it, despite my confirmation, he would cancel my reservation.
Very rare not to get what the confirmation says.

Fourth of July visit
This is an old motel but has been updated over the years. Current management has done an incredible job with the property. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are attentive to any needs you may have. The biggest plus is that you are within walking distance of downtown and Clapp Park.

I booked this because I needed a last-minute place to stay when going to Tanglewood; some places were way too expensive and some were super cheap, so I assumed they wouldn't be good. This one was reasonable. Initial reviews looked good, so I went with it. I should have looked further into the history. Upon arrival, I asked where breakfast was in the morning; I was told that there wasn't breakfast -even though it is advertised. The manager was not friendly. I checked in and went to the room. It was dungy, but I had no time to re-book anything, The nightstand was dirty and had dust on the lamp. The plug was hanging out the wall; the bathroom door was dirty, and there appeared to be mold on the caulk around the tub. The entry mirror was filthy. The outdoor door had broken drywall around it. The bed was not comfortable at all. In the morning, I showed the GM the pics of the room, and he was nonapologetic and again didn't care. I travel a lot; this property was poor for the cost. I would not recommend it. I do think that Expedia should force them to stop advertising that they provide breakfast. From the other posts, it is clear, the Berkshire Inn has been doing this since Covid.

Nice hotel.
The hotel was very good! It was clean and there was housekeeping everyday. The motel looked as though it has been remodeled recently and it was very nice.
The hotel is a 4 minute drive/20 minute walk to downtown - but there are a couple of restaurants and a grocery store very near by. It's the Berkshires - so you're likely going to be driving anyway. It's a nice quite neighborhood.
My only complaints with the hotel are that it could use a little sound proofing. Our neighbors on our last night there were super loud. But otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

Hotels.com never sent my reservation confirmation to the hotel. So it took a long time and 3 different people to figure it out and check me in. It was not the motels fault that Hotels.com didn’t send it, but it was stressful having a confirmation number and have already paid for the room and be told there was no reservations. Disappointed in Hotels.com this is the second time they have done this to me.
The motel is a sweet quiet spot. Clean and everyone is very nice. Close proximity to places to dine and shop.we have stayed here a few times.

This was clearly a surface remodel of a formerly beat-up building, but it is clean and the price was right. The desk staff was helpful. The bath tub didn't drain as quickly as it should, and someone should see about some of the tile caulking, but the bed was comfortable, sheets clean, and the fridge kept things cold. Perfectly fine for a 2 night stay. I liked that it was a walkable distance from the train station too.

This place looked very nice in the pictures but was disappointing in person. It seemed clean. The bed was moderately comfy. The cable TV seemed... messed up I guess. Some channels didn't have audio, some the audio wasnt synched to the picture and some had really bad picture. The toilet rocked. There was no power to the only outlet by the bed. It seemed a little better than some of the $70 a night places around but certainly did not seem worth the $95 we paid. Its the type of place you crash for a night but nothing more. Customer service was good.

It is an older facility, but clean. You can see where they are trying to do updates. The staff was very nice. It is not a fancy place, but it is a clean place to rest your head. I had read the comment about the raised lip walking into the bathroom and I still hit it. So I just took a hand towel and put it on the floor to cover it. That reminded me to step over. Easy fix.

The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom, however, had a very nasty raised threshold that is a bit of a hazard. I tripped and fell, injuring my toe pretty badly. Please be careful with that. Otherwise some of the fixtures could use a bit of TLC but the room was clean and we were happy with our choice to stay here.

Comfortable & Convenient
Really loved our stay! The room was comfortable and large enough to move around in. The bathroom was nice and clean, and there were plenty of plugs for any charging and work needs. The kitchenette included a fridge with separate freezer that worked well. Ours was a short stay, but we felt like we could be comfortable for longer stays. All rooms are on ground level, so people who are handicapped have easier access with the convenience of having their car right outside.

The room was generally clean and mostly quiet. The beds were reasonably comfortable. But the heater was noisy and couldn’t get the heat up to a comfortable level. The floor lamp had no bulb in it. We won’t stay there again.

I've stayed here multiple times and have no reason to look for other lodging since it's such a great place to stay. Nothing to complain about but....I wish they had coffee makers in the rooms. I also wish hotels would start offering the free breakfasts they advertise.

We traveled to the Berkshires to attend a concert at Tanglewood. This motel was probably 20 minutes away, so fairly convenient. Sadly we were put in the end room on the road which was a little noisy but all in all we were quite satisfied with our accommodations.
