Staff could be more organized. Update the bathroom, shower curtain old and the curtain holders. Also no heat. I had the thing set to 82 but still got cool to cold air blowing. đ

Parking lot was horrid, cramped, low ceiling and the gates never worked I had to always call for help rich was ridiculous clue 4 star hotel, front reception didnât even know what he was doing or saying, very unhelpful, very inconvenient, I wouldnât come back again. Please think carefully before visiting

Happy at The Westin
The Westin is a great place, strategically positioned for enjoying Arlington. The area around the hotel offers rest, shops, and entertainment. Destinations beyond the hotel are easily accessible. The staff is friendly and very efficient. Parking garage is easy to access.

I was there for work trip, on Friday night There were a lot of drunk people in the hotel, not sure if there were an event going on, we were not able to sleep well, and everywhere smelled like puke, even someone throw up in the elevator, they didnât even cleaned till next day. But we have requested to clean it, staff was friendly and toke an action right away. Location was good cause of a lot restaurants.

The front desk failed to inform me that I needed my key card to get out of the garage. This caused a huge back up and upset me quite a bit. Otherwise, the hotel was OK, carpets were in need of a deep clean. The bedding was comfortable.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE
I got a room that had some type of BUG in it. I checked in around 5pm, had dinner, went to bed, and woke up with about 5 to 6 bites all over my body. I immediately requested another room. The next room had a terrible bed - it squeaked and was not comfortable at all. In addition, the sink in the bathroom made loud gurgling noises several times. We first thought the toilet was overflowing. I did not want to go through the hassle of requesting yet another room.

Nice common areas and nicely appointed room. Weird was the parking - we parked in the garage, then took an elevator that deposited us in the building next door. Staff were friendly, but we made a dinner reservation in the hotel only to find that the venue was closed off for a private party.
The surrounding area is full of restaurants, so we had no trouble finding something suitable.

Great location. Poor upkeep.
This Westin has lost a lot of its freshness. The carpets in the hallways have big dirty looking spill spots. Same thing inside the rooms. The beds are comfortable but the bathrooms show plenty of wear and tear with spit patching and caulking. If particular issue is that the bathrooms do not have exhaust fan. The staff is lovely and attentive. The location is great. Iâd give it a 3 star.

Week of being a tourist
We stayed for a week to do some sightseeing at the major tourist attractions, of course our plane was delayed from 5:35p and we didnt arrive until late in the evening 11p local time. When everything was situated we arrived to the hotel close to midnight, we get to the room and it had an odd unsettling odor. Dresser drawers wouldnt stay closed, closet doors fell off their tracks, bathroom toilet kept clogging up, and not sure why the shower water temp only had two water settings hot and hotter...after long days of walking around town we had no option to endure hot showers on the hottest humid days during our stay, which included a heat advisory. The A/C was of no help during the week, it felt humid in the room. Virginia and DC hospitality was on point its just for the price of the stay, it is an overreach for an older (almost historic) Westin establishment. The price could've included a continental breakfast or offered a restaurant voucher. Every meal (once a day) we paid for out on the town was anywhere from sixty to almost a hundred a day for two people.
This review has NO reflection on the staff as they were welcoming and friendly and as helpful as they could be! Definitely enjoyed their hospitality and the hotel was close to nearby restaurants, laundromat, and other stores. Loved the security that you'd have to use your hotel card to go up in the elevator. The rooms themselves could use an upgrade, ie, remove the carpet

Service was excellent for 6 day stay. Quickly resolved an issue that was no direct fault of their own. Buffet had a wide variety of options and was a good value. Good location, many great options to eat nearby, and just a short walk to the metro.

Not a good check in experience
Checked in online the night before. Told them I would be there around 2pm. Waited until 2:45 to show up and even let them know I was on my way. Despite updating me that they didnât have a room ready for me yet, at 3:40pm I finally got fed up and tried to check in in person where I was told, âoh, we donât have your credit card on file so we couldnât check you in, thatâs why you donât have a room number or digital key.â When I asked when they were planning on telling me this fact do I could have tried to check in an hour earlier, the front desk attendant became aggressive. Not a good experience at all. The hotel is dated and caters to large groups of children. But the food and bar were both nice and the room was comfortable.

We stayed with our 2 children at the Westin Arlington and can't say enough positive things. We used to live in Ballston 7 years ago and were excited to come back and visit DC with our kids and friends. We booked this property because it had a pool and was a short walk from the Ballston Metro (Orange Line). There were a number of restaurants within steps of the hotel. The pool was a good size although popular given the limited hours (3-10 pm on Weekends; 6-10 pm on weekdays). But we spent most of our time seeing the sights so it was okay. We stayed on the 12th floor in a double-double. The room was average size but the beds were comfortable and everything felt clean and updated. Our friends and I both traveled with kids and I noticed that we didn't hear a PEEP from either of the rooms next to us. You can hear people in their rooms through the doors, but not through the walls, which is not usually the case. The hotel seemed popular for school groups as we saw several arrive and taking up the elevators, but that's to be expected as we traveled during spring break. Other than that, our visit was not impacted by other guests at the hotel. We would definitely stay here for future visits.

Our sink faucet made a god awful noise whenever I ran the water or someone else within the building ran it. It sounded like Jumanji when they rolled the dice! I literally thought something was going to come alive. It kept me up all night.

TÄ„e area is pleasant with alot of little outdoor green spaces. We brought our dog and there were no problems or hassles. This is always a great relief.
The parking garage is huge and confusing. It needs much more and better signage. It is so poorly marked that we ended up in the lobby of the wrong hotel and the concierge had to walk us outside and point to our hotel.

I have stayed here a few times and love the location and this Westin, however this time I was a little disappointed that despite having parking as part of my package via hotel.com booking that the hotel also tacked on the $38/night standard rate for parking so instead of paying $476.43 for my stay I ended up being charged $590.43. Otherwise despite this disappointment I would consider staying here again.

Room was outdated and not clean. Way too expensive for actual quality of amenities and the room. The pool is only open from 6-10 at night. If you arrive later with kids you cannot use the pool in the morning before check out the next day. Very disappointed overall.

Starting with a good note. Appy the young lady at the front desk was very helpful at my arrival, efficient and friendly. A rare gem.
But the next days ( we stayed 3 nights) things went south đ€.
The room was not serviced. I had expressly asked to have service and clean towels.
Nothing!
The safe didnât work.
The phone didnât work.
So I call the front desk and BRIAN, very rude person said he would put me on hold. I was tired and asked him donât put me on hold, since I am using my personal phone to call the front desk, but I am IN THE ROOM.
He said I have several customers in front of me and I donât want the phone here ringing all the time.
I told him it was not nice for me, I was tired, reporting a bunch of broken a hotel guest to be put on hold for HIS CONVENIENCE that doesnât like the phone ringing.
He just hang up on me.
Itâs not that I was asking for something, I was doing THEIR JOB, reporting things that werenât working in the room.
Nasty young men that treats an older lady in an abusive attitude.
Should be fires IMO.
I am a member of the Marriot BONVOY and I was very agravated.
I will post this review everywhere I can.

The room was not ready on time, and after checking in (having waited an extra hour), I was locked out of the room (the data base showing it rented to someone else). The front desk trainee suggested I wait in the bar, which was 100 feet away and obviously closed for the night. The âcomplimentaryâ breakfast was $20 per person, parking $32 (or $38?) a night. The room was marginally acceptable, but for a total of $350 for one night it way over priced. There are lots of hotels in this area; I wonât stay in this one again.

Great relaxing stay! Quiet and I loved the late check out. Room was very nice! Only thing is that housekeeping came super early (9:50am) and they interrupted my rest. Other than that, my stay was wonderful and would rebook!
