2 nights was enough
Front desk was friendly but not the rest of the staff. Hotel needs to be refreshed. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and broken drain. Not a homely feel.

Won’t be back to this Hilton!!
I’ve stayed in many Hilton hotels before for both business and personal travel, but this one I will never stay at again. The first room I was given upon check-in smelled moldy, like a sweaty locker room. The staff did change my room after request, but was pretty irritated in the request to do so. The next room still had an odor, although better than the first, but I still had to check the sheets and pillows before I laid down. The beds make so much noise with every little movement, the temperature couldn’t be regulated (at least in my room), and the noise was so loud until after 2am from the street and a nearby club that it made it impossible to go to sleep. My coworker also stayed her the same night and had the cleaning crew take her dirty towels but never provide new ones. Overall very smelly, old, and dirty with not so great staff.

Overall the hotel was nice, Latrysee was great. My only issue was the parking. The hotel only provide valet parking, the net option was to park at the meter parking(horrible).

Had a good stay, the staff made the difference. It's a hotel, nothing you havent seen before but also not missing anything as far as amenities go. But the staff was very friendly and prepared for any questions i could come up with

Don’t stay here
The power kept going out. Then right before we went to sleep it went out all night. Super hot all night. Woke up and still no power. Sweaty mess.

Staff , freeway entrance , and rooms where good . Around the back of hotel not so clean . 6th street with all the bars and food is very dirty and in. Safe at night , would not take kids . Homeless ness is not good , the amount puke and crazy people on the street during the day is sad that this is what the area has turned into just like Seattle and Portland and LA. The bar in the restaurant sucks , staff awesome … food sucks .

Downtown Austin!
I stayed at the Hilton downtown in Austin for a business trip. I received a warm welcome on arrival, a swift check in and a comfortable room.
The hotel is slightly dated however a great breakfast and wonderful staff make it very worthwhile to stay here.

we had a great time at this hotel. the pool was great. clean rooms and great staff. we really enjoyed the rooftop bar and grill. Anthony was the host and has been the best staff member there the whole week. we enjoyed our time texas but Anthony made it all happen. he gave us recommendations to other great spots, we joked, we laughed, and we didnt want to leave. we cant wait to go see Anthony again. GREATEST BARTENDER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent staff, very personable from valet parking, front desk and breakfast staff. Alexander, Kendall and Dickerson went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience during my stay, while attending a funeral. 5 star service!!!

The pool was unsafe and filthy. The restaurant and bar never opened. The mid day and morning staff was nice but evening not so friendly. The room AC was noisy and never cooled down enough. The toilet would not flush unless to stood there holding down the flusher.

A bar near the hotel played extremely loud music until 2 am. My room was on the 11th floor and it was way too loud to sleep. Hotel says they are aware of the problem but cannot get them to lower the music.

The staff was very friendly and provided good service. Check and and check out were as easy as they could be; they even checked us in early. The location is extremely convenient; about 1 block away from the event we were in town for. Completely walkable, with an endless number of restaurants, parks, and interesting sites to visit right outside the hotel. Right near the convention center, public transit, and easy to get an uber. While it is located in a noisy/busy area, the windows are pretty soundproof and we did not have any issues with outdoor noise even with outdoor clubs blasting music, and a street festival going on. We didn't end up having time to use the pool or restaurant, but if we had stayed longer we would have, and they looked great. Having the 24 hr store with all kinds of food was super convenient, and the fruit infused ice water in the lobby was a wonderful touch with how hot it was in Austin! When the people in the room next door were too loud and I called the front desk asking to move, they said they had a zero tolerance policy for partying or being loud during quiet hours, and would take care of it- and they did! I appreciated their swift handling of the situation.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a view of the Capitol. Location is great ( walkable, dining, etc) except for all of the homeless people walking around and the smell of urine outside the hotel. They need a security guard outside. Also we were on the 12th floor but could still hear very loud music from a nearby club until 2 AM.

Not the best experience
When checking in on a Tuesday in the 5 o'clock hour there were 6 people waiting to check in with only one person at the front desk for over 15 minutes.
When entering room cleaning supplies were left out on a desk along with dirty cleaning towel and the room's furniture wasn't reset into standard position (desk chair was across the room).
Very loud music prevented at least one in our party from sleeping way into the wee morning hours.
No Do Not Disturb sign left to the room service cleaning team to knock about every 30-40 minutes starting about 8:15.

Convenient location for Convention Center and short walk. The pool was really not a pool, very small. Hotel was clean, but surrounding grounds were dirty. Staff was very friendly and overall a decent value for the location to work conference location and downtown nightlife.

This is an average older property, the outside of the hotel it appears their were weather falls into a stream that has fallen into disrepair and now has trash and debris collecting there, clearly needs a remodel and upgrades.

The mattress was horrible. It was an old innerspring mattress that squeaked. Completely uncomfortable. The pillows were small and flat. Wouldn't stay here again due to the bed situation.

In disappointing condition, very old building, staff is not well trained and don't know how to manage. Booked 2 king rooms, one was facing a noisy street and the other was a double room and we were told that there are no other rooms available. Won't recommend.

The property did not have the heat available in common area though myself and multiple guest called for adjustments. The heat in my room was not fixed until nearly midnight. The hot water was not present. Barely warm enough to shower in. The food was horrible and overpriced and the staff was not accommodating towards anything. Just…we apologize for this. I will never stay there again

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was decent, a good size room, comfortable bed, but it seemed a bit dated. Also, it was close to the freeway and some bars with loud music, so it was noisy, especially Saturday night.

Parking and pet fees
Parking is $52 a night and Hotels.com said that there was free parking. Don’t bring your pet, you will pay more for your pet being there than the actual cost of the room.

Our toilet in the room didn’t work for the first day and a half we were there. We called about it the day we got there before we went to dinner and no one came and fixed it. it was finally fixed after housekeeping came the next day. We had to go down and use the bathroom on the 2nd floor and we were on the 11th floor. The hot water in the shower didn’t work as well. The water would get warm but never hot and it wouldn’t stay very warm for long.

Parking is limited and 52$ a day. The property is a bit run down and could use a good cleaning and updating. Staff was friendly enough and location is close to places for walking.

Room was nice, but it was a cold day and the heat didn't work. There was no engineer on duty, so they moved us to another room. Also, the valet parking system at check-in was confusing and frustrating, especially with short staff. No problem at all with any of the valet staff and nor problem at all with any of the check-in staff.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Prepaid 3 weeks in advance, called on the way to say when we would arrive and got there only to find they did not hold the room. Had to switch to another hotel then the following day switch to another hotel.

I would like to compliment Colin and Dj at the valet desk for looking out for me and being super friendly. They both made sure I was safe coming and going by myself. Also I would like to say how amazing Janelle is! She was so kind and friendly, definitely an asset to the customer service department of your hotel. I really enjoyed everyone but these 3 made my visit above and beyond! Thank you!

We had a disappointing stay at this property. 1. Unsafe- homeless were in the building, waited and accosted us as we left the restroom. 2. The noise from a night club was over whelming into all hours of the night. 3. We were evacuated in the middle of the night with absolutely no guidance or communication from the staff. 4. The pool area was unkept and not as described. 5. We were advised by many Uber/ Lift drivers to not walk to or from the hotel due to the unsafe conditions in and around the hotel. This was unnerving and frankly upsetting as the cost was not what I would call inexpensive. As I told the hotel, I would ask for a refund if it were an option. Very unhappy. Sincerely, Katharine

The check in was very pleasant. However we were unaware of the parking options with valet being the only on property parking available. Upon checking into our room we discovered that we had no cold or cool water in either the faucet or shower. The air duct vent was extremely loud and every five to ten minutes all night we could hear extremely loud clanking noises. The television in our room had no service for a few hours and we were told a maintenance tech would stop by and we would be compensated for the inconvenience however neither occurred. The pillows were extremely thin and our sheets were stained.

Very good option in Austin
We really liked our stay at this property. The building looks a bit worn/dated from the exterior, but is quite nice inside. Good service, room was very comfortable. Very good location in terms of access to Austin sights. Borders I-35, where there some homeless encampments on way walking to east Austin. Valet parking a bit steep at $50+, but not uncommon for area. Overall, a good location.

This property is so disappointing on so many levels. From the location to the cleanliness. The staff was not helpful with enforcing their no loud music after a certain time of night policy. I was up battling with them and our room neighbors until 6am. I’m so disgusted in this property. This property needs major work.
