Dawn at the front desk was awesome ! We arrived at the hotel to drop our bags off at 8 am, knowing that check in was not until 3 pm. We just wanted to leave our bags on property so we could start our day in the city . She actually allowed us to check in early at no additional cost , and even gave us a better room at no additional cost . She went above and beyond for us ! I will definitely stay here again !!

I have seen a lot of negative reviews - I don't know why. Clean, modern rooms. Friendly staff who greeted me every time I came and went. Close to everything I needed. They do only have one elevator working but they gave me the option of a 2nd floor room so I could take the stairs. They explained parking ($45) and the gentleman at the garage was very helpful. It's just around the block, a quick walk. Pro tip - if you get in during business hours you can cut through the Chase Bank to the hotel. I would totally stay here again

I just couldn’t be more pleased with my time here! The location is PRIME and walkable to enough things to occupy a stay of any length. A friendly and responsive staff got me everything I needed so fast it made my head spin. The last NYC hotel I stayed in was abysmal compared to this place and was more expensive. Only 1 working elevator meant there was sometimes a wait to get up or down but nothing crazy that impacted my stay in any meaningful way. Keep up the good work - your staff is an incredible asset - I hope management appreciates them as much as they deserve.

The location of the hotel is great. However, the service was horrible. Starting with the check in. Both employees were rude and not helpful at all. We arrived a little early and they made us wait in the cold until 3:00pm for check in, while they checked in other people who got a single room instead of a suite. One of the elevators wasnt working at the hotel, and the rooms were not very clean.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures you show on the website. Only one elector was working and I had to wait 20 minutes for it on Saturday evening. Not a good experience.

One of the two elevators were broken - very inconvenient on busy days, had to wait 15 minutes for it. Great location and amenities were decent. Room was a good size and shower products were nice. Would return.

Worth every penny!
Can’t fault anything, lovely rooms with a lot of space considering it’s so central in Manhattan. Check in & out was so easy, housekeeping freshened the room every day.
no doubt i’ll be staying here the next time im back in NYC!

This is a great hotel! There's only about six rooms per floor, which makes them pretty quiet. My room was bigger than I was expecting, including a little couch and table and a mini fridge. Nice bathroom, coffee maker in the room. Also love the fact they had blackout curtains! It's so close to everything and convenient for coming and going during the day.

Location, location, location!
I'm really glad I booked my stay here. We came to see the famous Rockefeller Christmas tree and the hotel was only a half block away. It was across the street from Radio City Music Hall. It was close to Fifth Ave, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Times Square as well. It was the perfect location.

I went there before and enjoyed my stay i decided to go back the young black man gave me and my husband an damage room i should of left wanted to go back for my anniversary i decide no to go i fell he was black what give you a right to give another black person a horrible room i beginning to hate paying for a room in advance and get there the worse of the worse because of my skin color from another black person i noticed everytime i go to a hotel wheb a black person in charge they always give us the worse going forward i will not take it no more thats abusive

Hotel Location perfect. Our room location was the worst. Right next to the restaurant doors. So loud until almost 1 am and started again at 6am. Don’t stay on the 7th floor!

We only stayed for one night, rooms were clean staff was friendly. My only complaint was even though check out is noon the cleaning staff were banging things on on walls (on accident I’m sure but cmon) and knocking things into walls, slamming doors not sure what was going on all around 7-9am couldn’t get much sleep

This was a great stay, good location in the heart of Radio City Music Hall, the Room was very clean and up to date, and Resturant on site had delicious meals for breakfast and dinner. The only but was the heater/ac had a small leak, but overall excellent!

The rooms are small. There is no lobby. Location is great. My only issue is when I leave the “do not disturb” tag on my door I do not want to be disturbed. On check out day (12pm checkout time) housekeeping knocked on my door at 10am but did not say anything apparently trying to rush you out. Also I paid for. King bed got a Queen. Walls are very thin. If you have a exterior room be prepared to hear sirens and honking throughout the night. It’s NY what did you expect !

Incompetent and rude staff
My biggest complaint is the parking situation, I was told three different times, upon booking, when I called the day before my stay, asking specifically about parking and upon arrival/check in the staff all three times told me that there is a discounted rate of $45 for parking overnight at their affiliated lot SP+ “ SP as in salt and pepper down the street “ were the exact words from the girl at the front desk. I was also told to show them the room key holder as proof. And upon checking out my vehicle, I was told that that was untrue and I had to pay the full $75.
When I called Doubletree and explained all of this to the lady that answered the phone, she was extremely rude, and just kept repeating the parking garage’s address. And kept saying not the one down the street but the one around the corner over two blocks and she would not listen to me when I told her the other staff gave me the incorrect information and directions to a different SP+ parking location. She did not attempt to make anything correct out of the situation and she found it quite amusing at my loss and just repetitively stated the parking name and address after I even told her I know you know the correct location and you don’t need to keep throwing it in my face! So your hotel staff is very rude and they were happy that I got “ screwed “ out of money for parking!

The location cannot be beat and even though it is a block from the Rockefeller center tree and area attractions the room was quiet and more spacious than expected. The restaurant accommodated us without reservations on a Saturday evening despite being busy and the room was ready when we checked in at exactly 3pm.

It was so centrally located fot holiday fun. Close to The tree , ice skating. Raidio city and Times square. A 15 min walk to Macys Santa land.

The elevators take forever. I was on the 22nd floor. The sink didnt drain properly. They said balcony but there was loose stone and a long screw laying out there. I was afraid togo out didnt want to fall from the 22nd floor. They want you to take the stairs but only want you to give you one bottle of water. The property was convenient to Times Square, subway, and Rockefella Center. The 2 ladies at the check-in counter were very friendly.

Great location to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree! Room was comfy, front desk people very nice. Restaurant staff...not so nice...go on Open Table to reserve spot as Maitre D told us absolutely no room, overbooked, etc. They were not.

Book a room with queen bed, balcony and city view. Finally we had twin bed, with no balcony and no view. Staff attitude was terrible and did nothing to help us. Only solution propose was to get refund and find another hotel

The gentleman upfron originally told me there was a view there was not a view at all. Floor 3 stunk like poo poo as well - Came down and he changed my room but had to have a queen bed instead of a King. There was hair left on the soap dish and shower. The location was nice. There is no parking close by and it cost 85 a night when you find the parking location. It was a crazy check in and they need more help and only 2 elevators so long wait.

Room was very clean, however, theydid not have my correct balcony room that I paid for. Staff was very friendly and accommodating but they seemed understaffed in check in area and only had 1 elevator working which was a huge inconvenience for such a busy hotel. There was no info in room for room service.

This is a central hotel with easy access to all major attractions. The bedrooms are clean but very very small. Nowhere to store your suitcases so they took up the limited floor space. Bed was comfortable. I was on 12th floor but could still hear the constant beeping of horns and sirens so some new windows are needed. I know Hilton have only recently taken on this hotel, so hopefully it will improve with time.

My only complaint was the shower. There was NO water pressure. Only a trickle enough to only soap your hands. Wasn’t able to wash my hair in fear that I wouldn’t be able to rinse out the shampoo.
