We have been staying at Residence inn in Joplin Mo since 2012. We have always had a great stay. Workers are always helpful and joyful. Rooms are clean,beds comfortable. Breakfast is always good. We highly recommend Residence Inn Joplin Mo.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff
We've stayed in this hotel four times in the past year between our travels to Texas. We return for the comfy beds, clean hotel and great breakfast. But what puts it over the top is the friendly and warm staff. From check in, kitchen staff, housekeeping, maintenance to check out...wonderful, friendly service.
These days its hard-to-find quality people, I hope Marriott recognizes they have an entire team of quality staff in Joplin Mo. Kudos to each of them!

Nice hotel, lousy shower
Overall, the hotel was fine. However, the flow of water from the shower was pathetic. I’ve traveled all over the world, including many places with water restrictions, and this particular showerhead was the worst.

People next to me were a little loud, but calmed down later in the evening, a dog was barking across the hall pretty regularly, but I think he was left alone in the room for a while. Understandable as I had my dog with me, but overall the stay was great. Nothing bad to report, other than being very surprised there was a $80/night non-refundable pet fee. The front desk person was very prompt, professional and courteous. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel, petty parking charge.
We were charged a $2 incidental charge to park. This is Joplin Missouri. Parking isn’t at a premium. There is literally a giant Sams club parking lot next door. The charge is super petty and was not expected.

The pet fee was excessive. Maybe charge by pet size. I have a 16 lb schitzu and i doubt anyone could ever tell he was there. $80 dollars is way too much for a small dog who doesnt shed. For this reason i wont stay in a Residence Inn if i am traveling with mu dog which is usually.

I think the stay was good, I liked the room layout for a suite. I also really liked the breakfast, and the staff was very nice. I would have given this hotel a much higher rating but one thing I think is petty, was I was charged $2.00 to park. In Joplin MO, there is no pressure for parking areas. I think it is petty of Marriot to charge this fee. If you need the extra $2.00 include it in the price for the room, it just irritates customers.

This is a great place to stay in Joplin. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only negative thing i noticed was a dog smell in the hallway. I would definitely stay there again.

Best Hotel in the Midwest!
This hotel is an exceptional property at a great price! We loved the suite with the king bed. The interior design was outstanding, with thoughtful arrangements of the living space, beautiful furnishings, quiet, and a very comfortable bed and bedding. Yiu cannot go wrong staying at this hitel!

I had a travel day that was 21 hours between bedsheets. After flying for 5 hours and driving for 12. Shortly after midnight, I dragged myself from the parking lot to the front desk to a friendly clerk who accurately read the exhaustion I carried. She quickly provided my room key and wished me a restful night.

The toilet was not clean and really stood out when entering the bathroom. In addition, the sofa bed not made up and I think it's ridiculous to charge $2/night for parking.

Disappointed in the property as well as the price of the room
. Traveling to see family . Did not need suite , only room available at the time of last minute booking .

Room was great. However, more attention needs to be paid to life of appliances in the room. Coffee pot did not work properly. The water to brew the coffee did not flow through the basket. The toaster needs to be recycled. It has seen it's better days.

The two staff members I came in contact with were nice. The bed is quite uncomfortable, the pillows were quite uncomfortable, and the air conditioner didn’t work in the room. The bathroom and kitchen area were clean.

Great hotel room - wasn’t expecting a full kitchen but it was everything we’d need to eat in! Good breakfast, nice pool and a great dinner restaurant right next door. Convenient location-close to trails, parks, and all needed chain stores. Nice stop on a road trip!

We spent a night at the hotel on a trip from Dallas to St. Louis. The hotel is a very short distance from the highway, studio rooms were spacious. Breakfast was really good.

The room was not the cleanest and when I asked for an ice bucket, I was informed there is a tray in our freezer. We had a 2 room suite, the tray in freezer was dirty, the stove was dirty, the chair had what appeared to be a manly stain on it. The pool was not open and the jacuzzi was under construction.

Residence inn Joplin Mo Room 129. My wife and I experienced numerous moths (I believe they were pantry moths) killing approximately 6 of them before we left. Prior to our leaving Sunday morning, we noticed several more fling around or alighting on the walls and fixtures. I suspect there is an infestation somewhere in or around this room. The carpet in the “living room” was noted to be dirty and smelled as if some pet may have soiled or otherwise stained the carpet. I do not think this was reflective of the everyday cleaning crew but rather indicative of allowing animals and certain clientele stay without proper care of their pets. I need to lie down and exercise my back after traveling and that is the reason I noted this particular item. A couple of other items we noted about the property was the non-functioning entry access point on the east side ( you could exit but not return through the East-Southeast entry point). We subsequently did not utilize the east side parking which would’ve enabled the closest entry to our room. I understand from the note on the east entry door that parts were on order to repair said door. While this had a minor impact on our stay the inoperative hot tub did not. We have stayed in this property while visiting family over the last 15-20 years and have noticed a decline in the property maintenance that I believe should be addressed if you intend to keep attracting clientele.
