The property was touched back in among multiple other locations, making it difficult to find. With so many other options in the immediate area, I did not find it offered equal value for the cost.
The morning desk staff was much more cordial and helpful than the evening desk staff.

Everything was great except for the fact that they require an aditional $25 at check-in for the soda, candy, and small shop they have in case we need anything. what we didn't use was sent back to us by way of the card that was used.

One of those "Hidden Gems" in Value
This was an INCREDIBLE find on Hotels.com. I just needed a place to crash overnight on a long road trip, so didn't want to spend too much. It was a pleasant surprise to actually get a GREAT VALUE out of this experience.
Curbside appeal was great, front desk staff checking in/out were super-friendly and helpful, the parking lot was clean and well-lit, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable -- just a great value overall.

Check-in was easy and quick. The hotel is tuck away in the back behind all the hotels, but it offers lots of parking space and very quiet. Hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but Denny’s is within walking distance. Chick-fil-A and Outback Steaks are also across the street. We will definitely stay again.

A solid place to lay your head
The hotel was quite nice. Ample parking, decently located, but the access to the property is wonky. Keeps the traffic noise way down though.
Nice, spacious rooms with a good kitchenette, though my sink faucet did start to leak at the end of my stay (right before checking out). Maintenance took care of it pretty quickly.
The location made it great for trips around the area. Convenient access to restaurants, stores, etc (once construction on Range Line is done, anyways!)

Clean & safe, nice staff, easy parking. My room was a suite, which had a full size refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a stovetop. The hotel is hard to find. It does not have a sign that is very visible from S Rangleine. The hotel is back behind Best Western & EconoLodge. It is on E 36th St to the west of Rangline but there is no street sign. So - if you're travelling north on Rangeline just past I-44, take a left at the Cenex station/Waffle House parking lots, take an immediate left back towards I-44, go 100 feet, take a right at the Best Western sign, and follow E 36th west towards Candlewood Suites.

The hotel room stinks. It sounds like someone cooked spaghetti and spilled it all over the floor. There’s a door opening and closing right by my door all early morning. The smoke alarm fire alarm went off for my alarm.

This is a great place to stay. A nice suite for a good price. This hotel is tucked back behind others, so was a little hard to find the entrance. They could use a bigger sign. But quiet, clean and I would stay here again.

Worth the cost.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The property is well maintained. The halls were quiet in the evenings and I felt very safe walking I. And around the hotel. The staff is very pleasant. I would definitely stay at this property again.

This property had been recently renovated and it was amazing. Reasonable rates. Stayed for 2 weeks. Perfect for what we needed. Rooms were great. Staff was friendly. Onsite washer and dryer.

Had a tub and grateful because had been in hotel in another state with shower only.
Not sure why we weren’t able to get ABC, CBS, and NBC regular channels on the tv which had Direct TV.

It was clean even being pet friendly. They provided treats for my dog and were super friendly. There were several restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. I would definitely stay again.

Pros - Kitchen utensils, plates, dishwashing packs are provided, A/C kept the room cool, separate closet with door for belongings, and comfortable bed.
Cons - Pets are allowed and there was a dog barking for a long period during one afternoon.

It was a nice one day stay.
The property is nice but a little hard to figure out the entrance. The room was nice and cool with an on the wall thermostat. (It was 100 degrees F outside and humid.) The only thing wrong was the ice maker didn't work. The towels were clean and comfy and the bathroom spotless.

Cleanest Motel Ever!
This WAS the cleanest room we have ever stayed in at a motel. The housekeeper's name was Alex and she was excellent. We left a note for her and told them at the desk. All the corners of the room were spotless and not one hair on the bathroom floor. Amazing! Obviously, she takes pride in her work.

This was a nice hotel, the room was big and having a kitchenette is a nice bonus. The bathroom is big and the shower has good water pressure ( if you travel a lot, you know that’s not the case in a lot of hotels ) The staff was very friendly, I can honestly say that I do not have a single complaint about this hotel and would stay there if I am ever in Joplin, Missouri again.

Good for extended stay but no daily housekeeping
A good place for an extended stay, well provided with cooking utensils, pots, pans and storage containers. Room is spacious as is the bathroom. They allow pets, so I asked for a non-smoking, non-pet room. My biggest complaint is that per Hotels.com, there is daily housekeeping. False. They only clean your room and gather towels every 7 days. Not acceptable.

The two ladies at the desk when checking in were amazing. They were nice and very attentive. Room was ok and one of the beds made a weird squeaking sound every time I moved, but it was comfortable otherwise. Would definitely stay again. Kinda difficult to get to parking lot if you don't know the area, but easy after you figure it out.

Hi Hum Stay at Candlewood
Ho hum stay at Candlewood in Joplin. Fully equipped kitchen is a plus. Bed was not comfortable. Floor outside elevator was sticky. Furnishings are kind of cold and commercial feeling—not at all homey or comfortable. Heavily perfumed. Okay but not for us.

Nice to have the option to check out DVDs in addition to the Direct TV. Our room was missing a hair dryer when we checked in, but the staff provided one when we asked. Room service was once a week, but we received new towels and floor mat upon request. Stayed for 5 nights while house hunting in the area. Great access to grocery stores, restaurants, and freeways.

It is nestled back behind a few other hotels, so at first it was a little difficult to find, but once we got there it was amazing! The staff was friendly and very accommodating the room was very clean. I had never before stayed at a Candlewood but it is definatly my go to now! Well worth the few extra dollars!!!!

Amazing stay! Amazing Suite!
We were in Joplin for the weekend so I could visit my daughter. We have never had the pleasure of staying at the Candlewood but I am extremely impressed! Our room was very clean, well furnished, and smelled amazing!! I’m not sure what cleaning products or air fresheners are used but my goodness keep it up! We will definitely be staying here from now on on any future visits to the Joplin area!!!

Great welcome! We had requested adjoining rooms to share rooms with our son and his 2 dogs. We received the room request and plenty of dog treats !! Rooms were clean and comfy. Price was good since no food was offered. This hotel accommodated our needs .

Best place for the price. Most cheap hotel/motels in Joplin are dumps. Pay the extra 20 - 30 for this place. Shower works- has water pressure 👍.. room is clean. They have a kitchen in each room. You can rent movies, pot, pans, board games from the loaner locker. The only downside is the walls are thin towards the hallways- you can hear doors slam next to you, and people yacking down the hall.

Thanksgiving stay
The staff was friendly and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. We had issues with the television and remote. The front came up and tried to work out the problem and sort of got it partially working. He stated it was one of their new television setups and he wasn't sure what else to do. I could only use the remote to change channels. All other controls i had to go to the tv and manually do. It was Thanksgiving and staff was short and limited, so i didnt really expect a resolution. Other than the tv issue everything els was really good.

I was kind of concerned when we pulled around to the hotel because the places around it looked sketch. I was greeted by a friendly face at the check in. Very sweet lady named Ruthie. My room was beyond my expectation. Very clean and inviting. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was really clean, staff was incredibly friendly and there are many, many restaurant options in the area. We did have a challenge finding it bc it’s tucked far behind a BW but we called and they directed us perfectly to the front door.
Unfortunately we had a group of party animals in the room above us at 3am, but the staff dealt with them right away when we complained.
