We love this property. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. We visit family in St Louis a few times a year and this is always where we stay. Highly recommend.

The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. However, the property was extremely old and dated. It’s also next door to the county jail. There were sirens blaring throughout the night. I would not choose to stay there again.

I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable stay. The hotel is cute and clean. The entire staff is polite and treat you with respect. They also had an amazing breakfast buffet which is complementary if staying at the hotel. I know where I am staying next time I am in St. Louis.

Hotel and rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Pillows could be a bit fluffier/not so flat. Room was spacious (3 in a room with two queens) and amenities were great. Loved the shower with gel, shampoo and conditioner attached on the wall. Two sinks with one outside the toilet/shower area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast was included and it was ok. A variety of really good restaurants in walking distance.

Stay was great except shower did not work properly. The water temp would go from cold to hot and could not keep it at a constant temp. Other than that our stay was great and this is where we usually stay when we visit family

Modern isn't always better
They have electronic showers. I kept trying to get it to work. Nada. They let me use the shower in an adjoining room. What is wrong with the normal shower system? It can't crash.

Great stay in St. Louis!
Amazing hotel and incredibly kind staff! Everyone was very helpful and the hotel was beautiful! The hot breakfast was delicious and the chef making omelets was so kind and friendly! Special shout to Meme at the front desk for helping me figure out the parking garage and validation. I can’t say enough about how wonderful and attentive staff was! Will definitely be back and stay here again! Thanks! :)

Arrived at 5 pm and was hungry. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 9:30 pm but was closed when I got there. Also, no shower curtain. The shower was great , but got everywhere.

Consistently clean and quiet
We travel to St. Louis frequently and have stayed here many occasions. Always clean, quiet and friendly. Staff is nice and rooms are spacious. Safe area. Only down side the restaurant isn’t open for dinner.

Staff was very nice. Room was very clean. The shower was AMAZING. Temperature control. Dual shower head. One thing though, they’re parking is in a garage, but you have to take the ticket to the front desk to validate. It’ll be free so that’s fine, but you have to stop by the front desk and then go to your car.

Wonderful hotel but many of the hallways were slanted--not convenient for handicapped, although there was railing. If it's your first stay, it may be difficult to find your way around; more and clearer signage would be helpful in my opinion. Staff and amenities were great!

This is my 3rd or 4th visit to the hotel, and it was delightful. The only difficulty I encountered was being charged for parking even though I had my ticket validated at the front desk. No one was able explain how or why it happened and no refund or credit was offered.

The night of checkin Dec.30 2023 the front desk clerk was very rude that another guest had stated to her ma’am you are very rude. And he didn’t know us he was another race which that shouldn’t matter . The point is someone else noticed the attitude as well.First impressions matter the most so we 5 hours away we stayed near room area didn’t explore the whole hotel because she was at the front desk when we leave to get food come notice someone else there was

Great Clayton Hotel
I've stayed here a few times. It's excellent. Great location, near the Clayton train station, so easy access to downtown if you want to avoid driving and parking for ballgames, etc. Gret service, very clean. The breakfast buffet is one of the best.

Walls were a bit thin, so it was fairly loud throughout the hotel. There was also an mis-charge for a bed for another family member staying in a room. Otherwise, the facility was lovely and we enjoyed the area and our stay.

Our room appearance was nice, but the bed and pillows were terrible. The road noise was constant as I-70 is right out the window. Would recommend finding a hotel further away from the interstate with better accommodations.

Nice building with beautiful antiques in the common areas. The rooms were ok, beds kind of lumpy with bad pillows. Restaurant staff were very nice and free hot breakfast was good! Parking is a bit of a pain. Probably won't stay here again, but it was reasonable for this part of town.

We love this hotel’s breakfast! The staff at the restaurant are always pleasant. The hotel is in a nice area of St. Louis. Street and garage parking were free. The only issue we had was my 5 year old daughter got locked in our rooms bathroom because of a faulty door knob. The serviceman ended up getting her out but it took 30-40 minutes and she was super scared. I just hope they fix the door handle before the next guest gets stuck in there without a phone.

Did not get room keys on arrival, took an hour to get them. Pool heater was not functional, so could not use pool at all. Several games were broken in the free arcade. Shower was not functioning, had to call for service.

I loved the comfortable feel of the hotel and the room! The friendly staff greeted me every time I re-entered the hotel. The included breakfast is a great way to start the day. I enjoyed walking the area and getting to know more about the shops, as well as the historic homes not far away!

We stayed 2 nights. (1) There was no WiFi. Signs in the lobby said that, as a result of recently upgrading their Internet, they were having wifi outages. They suggested we use our personal hotspot. (2) We awoke our 1st morning to find our "smart shower" to be completely inoperable. We called for maintenance, who arrived just as we were leaving for the day. We were there long enough to see that he got the shower working. We decided to wait and shower in the evening. When we returned, the shower was again inoperable. We called again for maintenance and waited several hours. Maintenance never arrived. We finally cancelled it so that we could sleep. We checked out the next morning. Out of curiosity, I asked two gentlemen on the elevator if their showers were working. One gave a curious "yes". The other responded with a disgruntled "no".

This is a nice, matter-of-fact hotel in an area with some restaurants but mostly office buildings. The staff were very friendly, everything worked smoothly, and the breakfast is really plentiful and includes made-to-order waffles or omelets. The room was clean and well maintained.

Good, inexpensive hotel in Clayton
Arrived late and check-in went well, but it wasn’t clear where I needed to park my car, just kind of vaguely waved to take a left and a left. Figured it out eventually, but walking back to the hotel took a bit given had to carry bags up the stairs. Room didn’t have USB outlets, and I’d left my charger behind so that’s on me, yet many hotels have an alarm clock with USB plug. No biggie. Hotel was a little tired looking in the hallways but room was comfortable and quiet, and for the price would stay again!
