I picked this property because I had heard good reviews-our intention was to come to the property to have a bit of a swim for my son’s birthday- we check in-they want to swim, we go& see small children w/no lifejackets, climbing then jumping off of the walls in the hot tub w/no parental guidance. Once we got into the hot tub, we found several areas of vomit, used Band-Aids, and a lot of garbage around tables.
This goes on for several more minutes until I finally I say to the lil guys you’re not supposed to jump in a hot tub it can be dangerous. I felt responsible as me &my husband were the only adults in the area at that time. More kids come up again no parental guidance and they’ve brought balls. Apparently one is supposed to be the watch for small kids but we became targets for the balls I’m guessing because I spoke up and I told the little boys be safe. I was hit more than once in the back of the head/on my chair. My son in the head as well. My young daughter is afraid now, crying because the big kids not letting her jump in (which was very cold) soon my son wishes to even go home he’s also getting bullied. We exit the pool area went upstairs. The AC or heat wouldn’t do anything unless we put it down to 62°. No one could sleep it was so hot or very cold. Key cards stopped working by 6am, tried to make copy to no avail, hot tub was cold the next day, we left early. Breakfast wasn’t terrible, Alexis was awesome checking us in.

Great hotel
We have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. The staff is great and always ready to help. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are always clean and ready for our stay. We will continue to book here when in the area.

The stay was amazing. I was upset with the fact I specifically mentioned I wanted to use two separate cards, one for the room charge and then another for the accidental fee. Yet the receptionist didn’t understand that and put the full charge on one card. It went over my spending limit on that card and charged me a fee. As to why I wanted to do it separate. But apparently couldn’t?

Everything was either average to good. The only concern was we seen a few roaches. We stay there often but this was the first time We seen roaches. I will probably stay again but it will be awhile after the roaches lol.

Stoney Creek is a really nice place. They have a lot of immensities plus the lobby bar. When checking in I didn’t know that there’s no daily housekeeping. I asked about this Saturday and was told that I could have it done the next day. Well it’s the next day and another employee said that they do housekeeping every other day. The staff here is friendly but they seem to be a little misinformed. And oddly they are out of candy bars and bottled water. Considering the few cons I would stay here again.

Place was clean. Carpet in our room was worn and needed replaced but overall clean. Our room didn’t have any regular size towels.

Out dated and dirty
We stayed in the whirlpool theme suite. When we walked in it smelled funny and there was confetti on the floor. The pull out couch had holes in it and was ripped up. There were stains and spots all over the bench at the end of the bed like it had never been wiped down. While using the whirlpool the ceiling leaked on us. There are several bars next to the hotel and they played loud music until 3am. The pool was big and the kids had fun but, definitely won’t be going back.

Christmas trip.
I will always stay there every time I come home. The staff is awesome, The swimming pool and hot tub are one of a kind. And of course the morning breakfast is better than anywhere else I have stayed.

Paid for a room that had a kitchen in the photos, got a room with only a microwave and mini fridge. Both heaters in the room didn't work and the sink was clogged and full of dirty water. Not exactly what you'd expect from an expensive room, but I guess I know now for the future

Our stay was fine.
The hotel looked very nice, our room was fine. The bed was not so comfy. At 7:45am the ground crew was leaf blowing outside! We were on the 4th floor but it sounded like it was right out the window! Mind you.... It's December! The walls seemed paper thin, you could hear other guests TVs. We just wanted a get away, we had a nice time but didn't sleep very well. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It was by far the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Eggs had flavor! Biscuits were tender and sausage gravy good. Also tried a pancake, cool machine that made them and they tasted good. We only saw 3 staff members, they were all friendly.

Overall, a nice stay. We thought we might relax in hot tub a bit, but there were birthday parties! Windows in room have 1/4” gap around frame letting air and outside noise in-wasn’t bothersome but can’t be energy efficient! Deco was right down our alley! Decent breakfast- didn’t make it to bar. Staff very friendly.

Perfect little getaway for our family. We went to a Quad city storm game at the arena nearby and enjoyed a great afternoon and morning in the pool and hot tub and even having some of the food in their lounge. It was a great day.

Our stay was a staycation for our 12 year old daughter’s birthday. She wanted to swim with a few friends. The chlorine level in the pool was waaaaaaay to high, and felt pretty toxic in the space. I understand with high use, water needs to be treated, but kids were coughing and heaving when exiting the hot tub. Unfortunately we had some fighting neighbors which resulted in the police coming to clear things up.

They were replacing carpets and they were very nice.
The breakfast is wonderful and we love the indoor/outdoor pool.

This is always a great place to stay but the staff went above and beyond by helping my wife load the luggage cart and take it to the car and help unload due to my recenter surgery and terrible follow-on migraines headaches.

Great value and friendly staff.
The staff here is absolutely excellent. All of the desk people were super friendly. The hotel seems to be working on some of their out of date stuff but it was still really clean for the fact that they are renovating. The pool is pretty cool. Kids enjoyed it until it got really busy and rowdy. Eventually the staff kicked all the kids out of the pool. The fact that they have a room that accomidated 7 people is awesome. We are having two more kids, so this might be the place to stay as we can fit all in one room for a single price. Breakfast was ok. Different options but the breakfast seating is pretty small. There was a lot of people just talking around tables so we had to bring our food back to our room. Overall a good experience.

Stony Creek is a nicely done northwoods style motel near the Mississippi River in Moline IL. We were at the propery on a Tuesdsy in mid-October 2023 and it was very quiet. Staff was very friendly and took very good care of us. The neighborhood is redeveloping and has room for more businesses. Nice biking and walking trails run along the river.

Hotel was good, but housekeeping didn't knock
Our hotel stay overall was good. However, we waited for 10-15 minutes for the hotel staff to return to the front desk to check-in, and we were the first people in line. Also, housekeeping walked into our room without knocking the first morning before 8 am. The doors don't have chains, so there was no way we could have prevented them from entering the room while we were still in bed. We ended up not getting our room cleaned that day, even after leaving the room shortly after for planned activities.

Very cute outdoor decor you felt like you were outdoors but was inside. Our room was decorated with log wood cabinet and moose lights. The carpeting in the hallway needs to be flattened down. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Northwoods Hotel with large rooms!
Requested a River View Room but received a View of the Parking lot and there was only about 10-15 cars in the Parking Lot. The coffee maker in my room didn't work. The Hotel is super cute and they even have a Bar with Food and I was grateful that they were open at 830 p.m cause most restaurants in the area were closed. The Bed was ok, but I loved the Lighting in the Bathroom and the shower and towels were great! I would definitely come back.

We reserved for the Quad City Marathon. Check in was quick and effortless. Our room was amazing. Very spacious, well appointed, clean, and we loved the Northern Woods Cabin decor. The only drawback, the floor carpeting was loose, posed tripping hazard in the hall and in the rooms.

The hotel overall was great. However, there was a lot of water damage throughout the hotel. The stairwell walls appeared to be bowing outward due to water damage. The room was beautiful and very clean. The pool was great. Keep in mind that they close the pool for any type of storm due to it being an indoor/outdoor pool. I am glad I had the Jacuzzi room. The bed was very comfortable. I did not make it to the breakfast. I also received a free drink per person for booking through Expedia. That was a nice bonus. Definitely will book here again.

Good Hotel, but starting to show it's age.
Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Overall it was good. We have stayed there in the past, but it is getting close to needed a makeover. Nothing was terrible, but it was starting to feel rough around the edges.
The AC in our room only worked when set to high, and the door key cards only worked once, and then needed to be replaced. We ended up with 8 cards since every time we left for a few hours, the cards would no longer work. We had friends staying in 3 other rooms, and they need their cards replaced at different times as well.
I see the need to branch out into party room rentals, and there were 3 or 4 gatherings the Saturday we stayed, but it added a lot of extra noise and commotion being on the second floor at the end of the hall.
Especially for the price we paid, the extra quality that Stoney Creek Inn has provided in the past, we just didn't feel like it was there. We would stay again because of the location, but if the quality slips much further, we will probably look elsewhere.

I liked the fact it was close to the vibrant center, however the bathroom door did not lock and the whirlpool had floaty things coming out into the water. There was confetti still on the floors and near the bed from a unknown guest who had a party prior. I think this room was overpriced

Many of the common areas needed some attention. I never saw anyone vacuum the main lobby area or the hallways...and it showed. Breakfast was typical for standard hotel fair, and I appreciated the individually packaged options (bagels, croissants, etc.). There isn't much close by for food or entertainment and we often went into Iowa for meals. With the construction, much of the carpet has "bubbles" and is a tripping hazard, especially for those walking with assistance (walker or cane). The room was spacious and the bed was fairly comfortable. It was priced appropriately for the amenities offered.

Easy check in and check out. Staff is always cheerful and willing to help. Whatever I needed they had. Room Whirlpool Tub is large, clean and comfortable. Room was very roomy and the King size bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. I stay here a few times a year and it never disappoints.

Disappointing. First time stay and we won't be back. Checked in around 9pm on friday night. No ID required to check in. Our room was closest to the lobby on the second floor and the lobby was full of loud baseball parents until well after 11pm. The pool had several unattended young children both friday and saturday evenings. The lobby and stairwell carpets were very dirty with debris. The pool did not have towels in stock on saturday evening. Breakfast saturday morning- no coffee or potatoes. The waffle and juice machine was out of order. Very turned off by the lack of amenities that you should have for $500+ for a weekend. Public areas did not feel clean or taken care of at all.

Everyone at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The front desk staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. We were there for a college graduation and they accommodated our party so well. Highly recommend. Great outdoor area to visit with family. Only suggestion would be door closures…doors slam quickly and loudly.

Moline is a fairly small city but it had excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance of this hotel. The rustic styling of this hotel was perfect. We live in a log home ourselves and really liked the feeling of home away from home. Very clean and nice room.
